Our 5 Day ROME Itinerary! Everything We Ate, Saw And Visited! ITALY VLOG part 1 || "Kathy Jo" ||

[Music] foreign [Music] we took an overnight flight from New York City to Rome on a Friday which took about eight hours but we were honestly so tired afterwards because we both couldn't sleep that well on the plane so as soon as we landed in Rome we took a quick nap in the airport to recharge and it all worked out because our check-in time at our Airbnb wasn't until a little bit later we finally landed in Rome bar Italy travel really tight schedule just gonna roam around and chill for a bit because we literally just landed a few hours ago and it was quite the journey to get here because it was also downpouring as you can see um drenched in rain water but yeah I'm really excited to be here it's actually my third time in Italy because I did study abroad in Florence back when I was in college and then I had the opportunity to come back again with the people that I studied abroad with for a second time a few years ago so this third time around I am here with Andrew and it's really exciting because it's actually his first time in Italy he's very excited [Music] so right now we are headed to dinner we're actually going to a little area called it's where they have a lot of restaurants and nightlife lots of bars cafes pretty bustling our first stop is a restaurant called tonarello which is a place that Andrew actually picked out it has like 50 000 reviews on Google so we were worried that we would have to wait a really long time but luckily they had a table ready for us since we went right before the 7 PM dinner rush this restaurant was really good and I think it was worth the hype so busy all of a sudden I want to hear a funny story so I asked for the check when you went to the bathroom he asked me would you like me to wait until he comes back so I could give it to him yeah he asked me that but he was dead serious yeah first gelato of the trip I'll probably eat one like every day welcome to day two in Rome weather is perfect it's sunny not too hot not too cold yeah I just got ready because we're gonna go grab some food here is a little tour of our Airbnb dining area the small little kitchen which I don't think we will ever use since we're eating out and this is the bathroom nice large sink and nice tall sanding rain shower we're staying right near trasta Verde well actually we are on trastevere that's where our Airbnb is but we're kind of tucked away where it's a little bit quieter so I think it's a really good location thank you [Music] [Music] this one's a cream and this is anchovy I don't really like anchovy but oh that's a strong flavor like the cheese whoa the anchovy flavor is really strong it is I know it looks disgusting but trust me it tastes good I wish I had more so if you guys don't know Frappuccino is actually a Roman Street food and they're actually open until like 1am so I'm sure a lot of people come here for late night snacks and we got another one this is the eggplant Parmesan not one of my favorite flavor combinations hmm we are reading in line for the otello now for dinner luckily the weight is only 5 to 10 minutes but it's so packed outside today everyone is standing in line for restaurants like I just passed by tonarello which is where we had dinner yesterday and the line was wrapping around the block so if you do plan on eating at restavera just make sure that you come early or right when the restaurant's open always takes too long yeah too long I ain't got all weekend we had a good one yeah [Music] our second gelato of the day so we decided to take a lime scooter to Vatican City because it's further away from where we were but cars in Rome are crazy Loki that was a little stressful we just came to a nearby cafe right by Vatican and I got my face chocolate croissant and cappuccino [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] honey how was the Vatican nothing like I've ever seen before last time I came I did the walking tour but this time we just did free roam we spent about two hours there and now we are going to get some lunch at a famous pizza spot foreign ER [Music] it was so hectic in there but we got 50 euros worth of pizza and had we known that he was gonna cut a huge slice we wouldn't have ordered that much I am my heart the owner or at least I used to be just made it to the castle it's right behind me and then right across is a view of the Vatican and my horn strings are pulling like the times [Music] we just came back to our Airbnb so that we can drink some water freshen up and I really gotta massage my feet because right now it's only four o'clock and we haven't even visited all the places that we wanted to go to today and we already walked 14 000 steps my feet are killing me [Applause] restarting our adventure we are both feeling a lot better after stopping by our Airbnb because we took like a 15-20 minute power nap while we were napping Andrew had a dream that he dropped his pizza on the floor [Music] so many people wow [Music] [Applause] [Music] all right [Music] [Applause] [Music] Piazza was so pretty me and Andrew when we first saw it we both gassed now we are on our way to dinner Osteria da fortunata that's what the restaurant is called excited I already know what I'm getting because I looked at the menu beforehand dinner place is about a five minute walk from The Piazza foreign [Music] ending the day with some gelato see you tomorrow [Music] [Applause] [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] thank you we just finished a tour that took us through the inside of the Coliseum Palatine Hill and the Forum I never did the Coliseum tour when I was here and I think you can only go inside if you book a tour or if you have tickets what was your favorite part of the tour uh Coliseum yeah it was really cool that tour lasted about three hours one o'clock now and we're both pretty hungry tired and hungry [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] my feet are literally killing me finally made it to my lunch spot I saw this place on Tick Tock and I really wanted to try it [Music] [Music] was so good we went back to our Airbnb after lunch so that we can get a quick nap in and now we are at the orange garden to catch the sunset so I'm excited but it's a bit of a hike but I think it's gonna look so pretty up there walking off all the pasta and gelato we've been eating and what we will continue to eat [Music] thank you [Music] foreign [Music] for dinner tonight I was craving it and the pasta was so good when we had it last night but the line is so long and they have multiple locations just in this one block and they all have super long lines so I don't know if we're gonna wait I don't know I really want to eat the pasta though [Music] [Music] that's what I came back for [Music] thank you came to a nearby cafe literally two minutes walk from our Airbnb and today was basically our free day slash shopping day we're also going to visit the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps that's near all the shopping areas that we wanted to hit up it's gonna be another 20 000 steps cut a day [Music] we just came to our lunch spot and it's called da Enzo and right now it's 12 15 the restaurant opens at 12 15 and there's already a line of people waiting to go in apparently it's supposed to be really good yeah I'm not sick of pasta yet so I'm pretty excited [Music] [Applause] thank you [Applause] oh my [Applause] [Music] thank you everybody finally inside the restaurant we waited about 30 minutes [Music] [Music] wow that lunch was so freaking good and I think it was worth the wait [Music] thank you foreign
