it's here no it's really here it arrived check this out the uni cairo 16. i'm so excited they finally launched this oven let's break this box open and check out what's inside i'm so so excited so you want to pull on that end and i'll just hold this steady you got it there nice yeah all right well one box down another one to go you might notice that this is a white box this is a sample unit okay so um you don't have all the branding on the outside of the box but uh still it's there's a carrow in here and we're gonna we're gonna get into it right now this just flips up and then there's another panel that you flip over and now we've got the guts of the box there's all sorts of stuff in here what is this what is this thing this is the stone it looks like it's in two pieces two pieces [Applause] yup two pieces let's take this out so there you go there's one these are pretty beefy not gonna lie just as thick as any of the other uh stones that you get with any of your other uni ovens looks like about the same thickness and that's kind of how this would go in the oven like that nice all right let's dig in a little further huh this looks like all of the the print you know instructions and and warranty and stuff like that come with the with the unit uni always does a nice job with the design of this stuff if you register your product you get a three year warranty instead of a one pretty sure that's the case and then obviously the instruction manual right here all of this stuff good information read up get to know your oven the essentials guide i followed this when i when i got my first oven i followed followed the essentials guide great photography in here and lots of great information karen you're getting the pro so uh you know i should give you the essentials guide for the pro so you you can you can read up there we go this looks like the front door let's see shut the front door yeah that's the front door so you got i know that the smaller carrot does not have glass the 16 has glass typically all of the other pieces are inside the oven so we need to get that out of the box and then we'll break out some of the smaller components and take a look at those so let's do that ready [Applause] that wasn't so bad ah it's pretty heavy i gotta say do this all right check it out oop loose screw another loose screw looks pretty cool yeah it looks pretty slick huh yeah okay uh let's start taking stuff out of it huh what is this uh that mounts on the back this must be the uh the wind guard on the back of the for the back of the oven that's what that's that's what i'm guessing here and there's some little components here yeah some bolts looks like an allen key i think yeah so i got some aaa batteries that's new and what is this holy cow dude this must be an internal thermometer that's my guess i haven't read the instructions so i don't really know maybe i should look at the manual karen where's the manual i figured out where one of the screws goes right up in here see and this is the damper i think it's the damper what else is in here all right this looks like the fuel hatch on the back of the fuel cover it's like you know when you get presents throughout a wrap at christmas and you know shaking the box trying to figure out what it is yeah it's got a handle so we had the front uh the front door and now we have a fuel latch for the back oh this way yeah like that wow dude i'm pretty impressed so far you know got some weight to it it's sturdy yeah they're just it seems like they just every new oven they release it's an improvement upon the last one that's cool oh wait here before we get any further this is the cap that goes on i'm assuming this is the cap that goes on if you're cooking with gas because you don't need the chimney right okay i wouldn't be i wouldn't be surprised that's not such a bad position to be in is it i'll take that let me get this stuff out of the way we got a long box in here and i'm thinking that's the chimney put those over there and it's wedged in here pretty good there we go yeah this has got to be the chimney it's the only thing left really there we go and this guy here now i've never used a cairo before but these things unlike the pro which has a little um like a little thing you flip over i don't know when you call a little catch with a little lever that locks it in place this thing these carriers they just go in and they turn and you just sort of locks in place that way so all you do is drop it in and turn that's super easy any oh you got another damper here too interesting okay let's put it all together i'll just assemble all the pieces and we'll take a look at the unit when it's totally built missed one piece this is the fuel tray another another screw again sample unit guys sample unit yeah here's the fuel tray this is bigger than the one in the pro that's for sure so to continue the setup let's go ahead and we'll raise the legs and you just similar to the code of 16 you just flip them out like this there she's up the next thing we're going to do here is install this nifty little thermometer okay this goes on the front of the oven and connects underneath to an internal uh internal probe let's do that probe it's awkward to say [Laughter] this flips down this little piece and then you just attach the thermometer with a nut and bolt just like that okay and then the probe comes back under the oven and there there are two little clips under here that the cable kind of rests in just keeps it in place there's an outlet right here a female end that this plugs into perfect hey the thermometer is all set let's go ahead and install the draft plate on the back of the oven what this does is it helps regulate airflow in to the oven when you're cooking with wood or charcoal and it gives you a more consistent fire which definitely helps with pizza preparation just makes life a heck of a lot easier so what i've done is i've installed two of the supply screws and i haven't threaded them in all the way and i'm just going to hang the plate off the back like this and we're done that's it that simple onto the stones and this is kind of a narrow fit here i don't want to scrape the sides up too much but there's this first smaller piece goes all the way in the back like this kind of under the fuel tray and then the bigger one goes in front of it and it's heavy dude just like ah finger there perfect nice nice clean fit beautiful let's uh let's knock out the door and i will pretty much be done with it at that whoops almost forgot the fuel tray let me take the back hatch off so there's more light and i'm just going to slide this in all the way to the end just like that perfect fit all right onto the door these little hangers right here they need to rest on the pins inside the oven just like that and that just keeps the door stable while you add the the screws at the bottom grab these screws right here and then just right into this hole yeah there we go you don't want it super tight just beforehand tight there perfect and now the same thing for the other side perfect let's just make sure that we're good here yeah yep nice and sturdy it stays put that's nice you'll notice there's a gap here that's just because it's a sample unit okay um uni already warned me about that shouldn't affect the performance whatsoever let's go bake some pizzas but first i say we get some b-roll what do you think [Music] so [Applause] all right so we have the cairo 16 fired up it's at about 825 degrees plus or minus a few i got some dough over here ready to be topped life is good let's make some pizza i'm going to start with some ramp pesto you guys don't know what ramps are they are it's like a wild onion they're foraged so watch my fried oyster video to learn a little bit more about them okay next up a little whole milk mats partially dried here this is kind of what i had in my fridge so i might as well use it up and then some fresh mozzarella not going too heavy we're gonna make a white pizza so no sauce in this one i guess the pesto's kind of kind of the sauce here there that looks good now we're gonna put some crumbled up homemade meatballs on here so ramp pesto homemade meatballs some mozzarella and then uh to finish things off that looks pretty good i'm gonna add some shaved mushrooms yeah that looks pretty good a little parm we're ready to rock and roll oh yeah baby she's rolling all right oh yeah looking pizza i should mention that this is frozen dough and it's it's actually looking pretty darn good for being frozen ear gums what do you think looks pretty tasty huh oh man i'm so excited this looks so delicious the ramps make this pizza smell absolutely fantastic so cutting into it as i like to say moment of truth it's got a little crispy on the bottom wow that's pretty good so first cook need a little bit of a learning curve here with this particular oven they're all a little different nonetheless pizza tastes fantastic i'm sure my buddy karen over here wants to get in on a slice don't you buddy that's it guys hope you enjoyed the video i'll catch you next time
