One Year Of Owning The 2020 Toyota Supra (Owners Thoughts)

what is going on youtube welcome back to the channel welcome back to another super video today i thought i would do a one year of ownership type review video um i bought this car may 21st of 2020. and the date is may 26 2021 so just over a year this car has about 9 000 miles on it now it's not my daily driver but you know i do like to drive it whenever the weather is nice take it to a bunch of cars and coffees take it down to the beach which is just about three hour drive for me this car has been great over the last year um the last about five thousand miles the car's been tuned it's been full bolt ons and a tune as far as reliability goes i've had no issues at about let's see about 2 000 miles i took it to toyota um for the break-in oil service and then after that at around 6 000 miles i did the uh liquid molly 5w30 which seems like a lot of people are going to on this car after you tune them i guess it just handles the heat better handles the wear better better so over the last year you can see i've done quite a few mods it's um like i said four bolt ones so catalyst downpipe uh ets exhaust ams carbon intake cold air intake p-tune charge pipe lowered on eibach springs eibach pro kit springs what with 57 the gram light 57 dr wheels which i think look really good on this color uh and the bridgestone potenza re 71r tires so that was kind of like one of the biggest complaints um about this car in particular is the stock tires i felt kind of lacking especially under you know 50 degrees even for stock power they were [Music] you know you get a little squirrely and then once you you tune it you definitely need to go to a wider wider wider tire in the back so stock this car comes with 275 in the back and now it's got 305s in the rear some other things i've done is everybody knows a big problem is the wind buffeting on this car so we did the varus varus engineering carbon fiber wind buffers i would like these the best there are some like nine dollar cheap amazon um ones that work that a lot of people are doing but to me these almost look factory and they match the factory carbon fiber mirror caps so yeah reliability has been great i haven't had to take it to toyota for any other services just the break-in oil change and then i did the second oil change myself and plan on doing all the other oil changes myself um from what i hear some people have had problems with taking the car to the dealer and then the dealer does some stuff to the software the the ecu and then next thing you know their cars are locked and can't be tuned which really sucks so i was fortunate enough to get a 20 20. i was waiting for the 2021 but i had happened to go to the dealership and they were giving 3 500 off on 2020s this time last year so i got this car below sticker which is awesome the sticker price on this car was a little bit over 58 000 and that's due to the fact with um the paint was a 1500 option and the carbon fiber mirror caps is a 900 option as far as um like little complaints about the car would be like little things i really hate the i really hate the flap down here that's covering up the wireless charger because you put your phone down there and next thing you know it's like it's trapped underneath that cap so i really never use it i have my wire you can see in there that's how i charge my phone that's how i do all my music and everything through the apple carplay just hook it right up and that works for me something i really hate is the double latch pool so once twice now the hood's unlocked um i guess that's just a bmw thing there you go so there's the ams carbon fiber performance intake everything else pretty much looks stock and that's kind of how i wanted it the p2 and charge pipe um yeah so you can't really tell anything's really done to it let's see another thing it's like closing this get it to about 20 inches and then give it a nice little push down so one thing that i had to adjust was this front bumper um and a lot of supers have this issue so this front hood piece wasn't aligning right so me and my buddy went in there and adjusted the bumper not a big deal but it's kind of annoying that it doesn't sit right from factory um and then one other little issue is sometimes when you go to pop the trunk um if you pop the trunk sometimes it doesn't always unlatch all the way and of course you don't have a button in the back you just have to kind of get under it and lift it but yeah so all in all one year of ownership like i said i've only done oil changes have just under 9 000 miles it's treated me great i try to get it out you know whenever the weather's nice in the winter pretty much just sits in the garage so yeah i highly recommend if you're looking for a sports car in the 50 000 range i would recommend picking up a 2020 um because there's no oil burning issues with these they're tunable i mean it's just a fun car really fun car and you know once you're tuned you're going to keep up with just about
