hey guys it's been a while since I've done kind of like an exercise try okay so this is one of my favorite advanced exercises it's a single leg squat it's kind of like a fantasy type thing or like I do I'll grab a few sets just in a day here so I'm doing like a single legged activity right now which is great for the lateral hip and this action this action of standing on one leg pelvic list if you do this pelvic lift while you do the next exercise I'm about to show you it'll be a lot stronger if you're kind of like sloppy for the hip we haven't activated your lateral hip when you go to do the squat you'll be very wobbly and probably have to rely more on the front of your body rather than the back side of your body so single leg squat you list first and then while you're listing you maintain that list as you come down and just touch and come back up so this is a squat in that the knee and the hip joints are both flexing as opposed to keeping a straight leg and bending down so you're not doing this where your leg is straight so from the side the more you go forward can you come around it's easier for me to do it where my foots completely supported where my foot is rounded down it's a little bit more challenging as you're going down on one leg the more you go forward the more your knee pushes forward and the more your shin is angled this way the more quadricep you're using and the more vertical your shin can be the more back so even if you're just holding onto the ground if you practice so you come down and and you're going all the way forward if you can using something for balance if you can back yourself up so you get a sense of what that feels like and then try to come up as you're backing up you'll get a lot more muscle development on the back side all right I'm gonna go join the fan and I'll see you later
