Onboard Container Ship (HD 60fps)

[Music] [Music] [Music] hey guys today we're here on the Maersk Line container ship Maersk Montana we're on the bridge the wheelhouse this is where you steer the ship from these are the radar and there's another radar down here take a look out the window that's looking forward on the ship we're in the port of Fort Lauderdale Florida today Port Everglades so this is the bridge where the navigation is conducted in the steering and the vessel down here is the flags for all the different countries for whatever we're port we're in here's the charts navigation charts on outside you can see the beautiful beach and the sea will be setting setting sail in 1604 o'clock p.m. so let's go outside take a look we just came down the stairway this is the F deck as indicated on the elevator we're going to go outside but there's a small swing pool which [Music] okay now we're on the sea deck we're gonna go over here to my stateroom and the hallways go from the starboard side to the port side on every deck same passage or yep reject I keep my outdoor jackets there okay why you ready come and I got there's my my restroom here shower sink in the commode all in one that's right here and it's good size for one person have a TV here two windows and there's a couch here and I just plugged my computer in so that I can watch on the TV what I want the twin size bed and a mini refrigerator there's a closet where I can keep all my personal things I bring some things just extra medicines things that I might need along the voyage so that's the living quarters it's comfortable big enough nice desk there with a chair and a fan so everything I need and a lot of storage space back here these all open up for storage so that's the living quarters okay on both sides of the ship port and starboard side we have a lifeboat and they're right here in the situation that we didn't need to abandon the vessel my lifeboat would be number two where I report which is this one right here on the port side the other lifeboat is starboard side up there and these can be easily led down and is a huge door right there where everyone can get in so we do frequent drills where we let these boats down and bring them back up almost every week so we'll take another view over the side here it means it's such a nice day looks like somebody fishing over there same deck here in the back side of the house we have a crane here for when we bring on things and have to send things ashore lifts up to eleven and a half tons there's a hook here and there's another on the other side and just praying to go over either side of the ship and for sending things ashore or getting things you know heavy items too they can't be carried we just use this crane one of the cranes that's loading us okay here's the shot of a nice tug boat going by Seaborg towing really nice tugboat and here's the pilot boat right over here you see the American flag flying on the stern okay we're in the Gulf of Mexico now we left Houston this morning heading up to Norfolk Virginia we're saying a limited cargo right now we'll be loading and unloading a lot there and fill up before we head over to Europe it's a beautiful night out really cool down here in the Gulf sunset right now okay now we're downstairs in a ship's laundry room walk around here so supplies I've got my laundry actually in right now front loading machines and we have dryers and detergent and drying fabric strips and there's a sink in here so that's the laundry room where we can do our laundry so let's go down the hallway toward the mess hall where we eat in the kitchen the dining rooms this is one of the smaller dining rooms there's just some microwave in here toaster a coffee pot tea pot and a refrigerator in a freezer so let's go down the hallway to the larger dining room posted on the walls is a lot of documents that are important that people can read and this is the larger dining room here and tomorrow's a holiday Thanksgiving so they have the tables set up this is where they place the salad bar during the daytime and the kitchen is closed now but normally you would walk in here to order your food and here's the menu today and this is the a deck so we will go down to the o2 level that's where the injury room is and we'll take a look down there guys now we're in the end room down below Oh - level that's the top level of the engine room and this is the main control board operation station here video of the main engine that we can see didn't see that at all times gauges these are all the fuel tank gauges computers that monitor different things and there's our printer and our normal ships computer and this is just the electrical bus board it's mostly 440 volts and there saw some switches for 220 as well mostly for 40 including the four generators so we're gonna take a look outside into the engine room it's gonna be loud down there so I won't be speaking but we'll just take a look on the three decks it will look all around the main engine so let's go down there actually we'll start right here first this is the machine shop where we do work cleaning station there four parts the welding station here welding rods are in here kept warm sauce pan it's one of the main work benches here here's the pump that we've been working on today we pulled out a bilge pump for pumping bill just it wasn't working and we replaced the with another one so we're working on this one bench grinder drill press and here's the lathe and in the back here it's just where we keep spare parts kind of looks like this just where we keep parts spare parts and some tools some more tools and there's our stereo we need that it continues down here this is actually our MDOT tank so we're gonna go back out and then we're gonna head down to the engine room where it's gonna be loud and then we will come back up here before we leave the space so let's go outside the main interim we'll start on the top deck and we'll work our way down [Music] we have four auxilary generators for our ships power this is two of them there's two on the other side the turbocharger [Applause] a little more quiet here because these aren't running right now alright guys we're back up in the control room that was a quick tour of the main engine and the engine room space so we're gonna hit back up head back up the elevator in here so I'll put my house shoes back on and we're gonna go back upstairs gymnasium there's a small gym this is uh just a small exercise room we have here there's a bike in the corner and a treadmill some different weights so just a small but at least we have something here to exercise so now we're to go up to the B deck and take a look at the mount okay here's one of the lounges it's an internet computer internet access and a TV and just outside there's a movie room we'll take a look at it real quick this is where you can pick a movie to watch [Applause] all right now we're on the front of the ship we're gonna take a look at the bow we're not really heavily loaded we're gonna load up in Norfolk so let's go take a look at the bow and where they tie up the ship which is forward here these are the morning witches and the anchor windlass for the spring lines and these are the winches for the headlines you go port or starboard in these four row holes here that's where they send the lines out the headlines this is where they tie up little little bit light rain there's the forward horn and the mast up there so this is the bow all the way forward on the ship little shot and this is where the hanger goes down the halls pipe so now we'll go ahead and walk out the back of the house [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] alright guys it's Thanksgiving Day 2017 out here we're in the Atlantic Ocean heading to the port of Norfolk Virginia so hope you enjoyed walking around the ship a little bit and please come back and check out some of our other videos we have a lot other videos posted and a lot more will be coming soon so thanks for watching [Music]
