all of the entrances have been shuffled and decoupled hopefully it all works all right nice hey we actually got daker nuts right away cool all right and that's five of them we got a nice pink tunic today i like this color also extra cool thing is that uh i was able to make grottos a little more versatile in like where they can be shuffled compared to the original randomizer at least in its current form that was almost vanilla but not quite all right well this is glitchless logic so i guess it's not surprising that we found something like that right away but we're not adult links so we can't use it anyway i can't do anything here all right death mountain trail uh technically yes um nessie but like it's not actually an issue now because i found hook shot so i'll be able to get rupees there will be at least one thing we won't collect for a while that we need oh back out to another grotto ocarina of time has a piece of heart or not a piece of heart um a recovery heart a creepy lockpick can be found at cacrico yeah in 3d we can shuffle like stones and medallions hello there is bombshews in the forest temple okay that's a junk hint uh somewhere on death mountain there's a daku shield a sylvan dungeon pass okay so i'm not sure what that's referring to to be quite honest oh here we are um hey we found a shop we found two huge rupees that are at great discounts oh and we also found ruto's medallion [Music] what do you guys think should we buy rudolph's medallion oh gold scholarships for 10 rupees [Music] i actually can't because it's a hundred rupees and i don't have a big wallet we'll buy the huge rupee for 50 rupees though yeah so with all of these uh entrances here um they're actually being kept track of uh on the bottom screen uh there's an entrance tracker that we have in-game which tells you where everything takes you it's i guess it's kind of hard to see but blow this up a little bit and also put it in front of the tracker um so it tells us where the child spawn is and if we change the group we can see where all of the other entrances that we've discovered will actually take us so um the lost wood scrubs grotto two lost woods takes us to graveyard from the shadow temple for instance um and this will apply for every entrance that we've found so far so graveyard to kakariko takes us to the long long ranch stables etc etc death mountain created a fire temple is death mountain trail from goron city so yeah that's pretty cool um should make it easier to keep track of things yeah no it's not different each time that would uh there wouldn't be a way to logically make sure you could actually complete a seed like that also thank you very much keaton for the 100 birthday cake bits or cupcake bits well i don't know if this these settings will be so we don't need to get that i know sound effects aren't randomized only um ocarina songs and fanfares are i believe and like the background music but sound effects like you know link rolling and like the texture of the ground that he's on are not randomized just defeat the wolf host now [Music] it does feel better now i mean it hasn't happened in like a few minutes but it's also only been a few apparently the circle pad is like not easy to replace on a 2ds xl so uh it might not be something that would be easy to fix [Music] i do have a 3ds xl that has a capture board that like i could use for doing runs and stuff but i would rather use this system right here because it's lighter and also because i'm used to the whole menu position on it i know when the gerudo catch us without hook shot start if you like look at them so like currently on the bottom screen um like uh there's like a tracker that we have to show where each item is but it'll only show us the items we've already found and same for all of the entrances that are in the game so we know that the carpenter boss house to kakariko will take us to kokiri forest from the deku tree it's kind of hard to see because it's on the bottom screen but if you turn on in-game spoilers then all of those will be revealed immediately [Music] if not then they'll just be revealed um like as you discover them so i can't get this yet but we'll still see what it is i don't know the game doesn't freeze but like it we can't like update the game graphically while we show the bottom screen menu i need to get working [Music] yes the stick is very tough another recovery part the great thing about being child in forest temple is that uh song of time block isn't here so we can just kind of go over to the [Music] the courtyard one [Music] i know the pink tunic was just random i set all of the uh tunics and like gauntlet colors to just be a random color oh really wow i was trying to jump forward but it failed because link wasn't walking fast enough [Music] thanks to the circle pad is this system gonna turn on now okay now it will we do have one key for forest temple also but i'm not sure i want to uh like waste that right now i could just use the hover boost to skip it later the time block's not there because we're child when you play the song of time to like get rid of a time block um typically like [Music] like the time blocks have two states the adult state and the child state essentially so like if you come into a dungeon you're only supposed to be able to access as adult usually the song of time blocks won't be there because they're only programmed to be there as adult link the song icon below prelude is the scarecrow song magic beans oh boy okay i believe that's all we can do in forest temple so [Music] we will save warp um okay now i'm gonna see if i can put everything on the uh 3ds xl that i have instead yeah oh this this feels a lot different compared to the 2ds xl anyway uh yeah so now we can hold frosty fun yes there's an ice trap in zora's fountain somewhere also yeah the adult kakariko's song uh is different from the child one we got the forest temple boss key which we don't really need and we're back in towards we don't have bow so i can't actually do the shooting gallery um so we're just gonna leave and then still take us to a grotto that we've already gotten and then this will take us back to the shop yeah i still don't quite have enough money for the water temple key but then leaving here we get to this grotto which is what i actually wanted to get to oh boy well we can't use that issues instead of like issues with the randomizer itself that i had to try and solve otherwise we would be like so we lost like at least 30 minutes to that kind of stuff but it looks like we're okay part of like the entrance pool there is boss door shuffle being worked on for the original game right now so like whenever they finish i'll probably just copy what they did and then put it into 3d closed until morning all right well i guess we're not going there one of the issues with boss shuffle is that um we're gonna need to create like another entrance um because of the fact that for like there are some entrances that are problematic so like there's no entrance that comes back from the water temple boss room into water temple for instance um uh we need to create a brand new entrance to randomizer knows it can randomize within the game and [Music] very simply um bracelet the randomizer will be like okay so it chooses one entrance at random and tries to pair it up with one of the uh targets that each entrance has so entrances like a single entrance is sort of split into two parts right um there's like there's the actual like collision that you hit to go somewhere and then there's the location that you end up right those are two separate things and they're so they're split off in a different list so you have all the places that you can exit to go somewhere and then all the places that you can enter into somewhere from and you essentially pair up uh each place that you can exit from with a place that you can enter from which are the exits and the targets respectively and so each time it pairs one of those up it checks to make sure that the entire game uh is still beatable [Music] with like the items that we have and with all the other randomized entrances that there are and if it finds that the game is not beatable with whatever pair it just made then it like essentially just keeps on retrying until uh it matches them all up in a way such that the game is beatable that's like a very heavy simplified version of how it works [Music] trying to go over to the other side oh okay nice i guess we're going back to fortress why did we end up there that feels super swim not as bad but it would still require a lot of frame perfect inputs not all consecutively but would still require a lot of them but it would be significantly less than before oh yeah you could just run no manual super swim if you really want to and you don't have to do super swimming at all or you don't do manual super swimming at all it would still be recommended to do like item slide super swimming because that super swimming is like not particularly hard to learn oh yeah both the original and hd versions of wind waker have uh no manual super swim categories on the leaderboard okay well it's not for people who complain that mss is too hard it's so people can have an opportunity to be competitive while still learning the game because manual super swimming entrance playthrough is always like extremely ridiculous because you can you can get to a lot of places very quickly especially because the entrance randomizer has to guarantee that you can get to replacing the circle pad on a 2ds xl is like not it's like not easy so i'll see what i can do about that because i'd like to just continue using that one as long as i can since that's the only issue
