there with a swing utility oh hi guys at 6 and I'm with Sasha and B we're doing our video production QA we also on Twitter and Instagram and patreon for questions that you guys have about us making videos and you did not disappoint we've got so many questions what amount of planning goes into videos and how much ends up being improvised hands on the video but mainly improvisation say yeah we ever really planned anything with planned our CMV which we plug the Hannibal to agree like the two doctors yet to the second to the frame was hand Hannibal both readings but then you lisa is very adverse I can do put your book down not look at him smile make our own reading but even like greater than the Sun we just directly went out of it put the camera down fashion on just doing her some yeah show join you for just a mixing in this thank you to do everyone okay so okay let's do some close-ups here and let's do some long short theories yeah sort of cobbled together a lot of our videos like the uncultivated series it's just we get into costume we have a vague idea and then we go along that route and then change our mind hospital promptly yeah in fact we go along that route until we come up with a plot and then somehow result it what did you go struggle with when starting up your YouTube channel and anything we sort of bother making any content the first treatment started off the channel primarily with the with the idea of just purely making music videos yeah we just wanted to do our Avengers videos that was the first video was made but days after making the channel and then the - one wasn't until Christmas sort of like over till Christmas it wasn't until the Malfoy's that we already found a group of what it's like doing yeah advice I say is just try everything that you are even remotely interested in doing and also don't be afraid to start that's cold so many people put a sock three years being too afraid of not being good enough to actually start very very on average how long does one filming session take all the way from getting into costume to clean up we filmed for seven days straight when we started filming that the files and we've done two more filming sessions that have been multiple days since then so it's daughter it's still not long this job more to go whereas like something that welcome tonight that we're getting how humane movie six o'clock seven o'clock spending all that time dragging it over and I will be finished about one something extended it's about six hours we do messed around how long does it take to actually start filming occupied get costumes we've got a little costume and then had dinner and then told we have gotten a costume and then sat there for an hour going we haven't come up with an idea of what not makes it but yeah what we're doing very constant we're doing and so it's a question isn't it we've initiated our questions I just so guys what are we actually doing why are we here with ratifies when we went out to that lunch for a week people would be getting clicks on their own before we started with like the primary scene for the day but yeah so on average I'd say less than an hour we get the costumes on and by that time it's already quite late in these things like times I go so fell do you often pick different characters you find funny as reference for how you play a character in a show like character influences yes incredibly yes yes okay that's the first one that jumps to mind in these 50 cells in welcome tonight well because if you pay attention Cecil's personality changes between episodes 1 and episode 2 and episode 2 is cannons evil from mouth yeah everyone Jack was trying to play Cecil how he is in the actual podcast a lot more straight-laced but with episode 2 he decides to play as he imagined please sort Narcissa Malfoy in the mouth voice is based very much on mrs. Voorhees from the break-up or Kimmy Schmidt the very first mouth with episodes as a scene of not dessert taking a bottled water out fridge operating it a cameraman and when he doesn't want it just putting it in the trash this straight line generation Kimmy Schmidt yes I get here's some ice from there and out that was not that was not business yet although there's a lot of Arrested Development in there yeah there's a lot of community in there like we take a lot of Abel trees from our favorite comedies I don't think any of my characters are based on any character into particular characters as evidence that you're very good at character creation maybe just wishes that how the hell do you stay motivated on making a costume or video when nothing seems to work if you wanted to cry crying a lot right try not cry krandle following this last week in which we had three distinct things the one is that I haven't announcements publicly yet the p.o box unboxing failed again just cursed because we just lost all the footage like that we've had to go those the pure boxes because it's like definite definitely Curcio looks x-men video that we had planned to put out this Monday this past Monday so I have that film for months and we didn't even look at it we look them like this oh god we can't use this and third thing was this long weekend of filming black and fazlul we were up against all kinds of like restrictions for when we could film who was available and like what times we can film one of our locations can use before 2 a.m. and after 11 a.m. so we have others right make sure this tiny window owner just helps in the dark and so on Jack memory works world ruined yeah getting up at 4:00 in the morning to make that and then stay up till 2:00 in the morning yeah like getting chased by scary bands from the question itself here is how do we say motivated through all of that you guys if you didn't find us inspiring and find it funny we would struggle to keep with motivation to produce content as frequently as we do we know we love this number the motivation is really hard but isn't that true of everything yeah whole well I so sometimes life gets you down I keep on trucking here I'm dragging to do the things you know you love because you'll be happier optimist excited Robert Richter the opportunity to what are your favorite and least favorite parts of making video please favorite is clearing up yeah yeah clean up is the worst especially books always build in the house where we live yeah so living in a constant filter is really we almost never completely tidy up because by the time we try that we need to move everything around the subway everything is everywhere so I'm sat here now we haven't cleaned up properly this is just a toilet roll behind the counter a lot of really kind okay in the DVD show favorite part is always seeing the page product I'm actually that upload button activist as my favorite part definitely if you guys wanted to cosplay channel but you still did YouTube what type of youtuber would you be I probably be vlogs because when I was living in New Zealand I tried my hand at doing vlogs and I still got a few videos of just rides at campsite that's one only wanted the entire time place you can be better [Music] good night but my only means of editing is filming was not over so you're pretty well to the phone it's a nice man we have logs like travel vlogs or advice on blogs that sort of thing I really liked doing when our student YouTube or my own it probably do you like to make up tutorials but means I do a few of them on the channel and we exert I really enjoy writing proper makeup yeah pathetic as a contour yeah I've gotten married I would just make original series if I wasn't in complex areas but like I'm a storyteller and I think I would struggle pretty hard to stay away from storytelling even if it wasn't in pre-existing costumes inheritance yeah we're going to try doing some original stuff versus work yeah you guys want original stuff right you want it please come in please god I D like original story you must got a lot of I did how do you come up with all of your amazing ideas amazing amazing ideas absolutely key is brainstorming why we do it we'll all just in the car and we're just chatting away suddenly one of us says something it's like oh my god be reimagined imaginative and then literally it's just talking I think taking in excel content as well like watching as much comedy if you're doing comedy unfortunate comedy series possible drama series if you're not consuming content in fact people say about writing a book with you're not reading books how can you possibly expect one maybe not consuming videos and media having you expect to create them yes give me a media gives me I'll tell you something no idea ever comes like that that's fake as much so it's pretty much no idea genuinely a bad idea no like if you have an idea in your like oh maybe this character will be funny doing this wrong with it and or at least write it down if you think your idea isn't strong enough the new development it doesn't need scrapping oh and blood sacrifices too obviously no no no no no no no was ever seen in a skit that you were doing that was too funny or too emotional to stay in character also what's the hardest thing you have at film emotionally or physically I got stabbed this weekend I'm so angry if I been me you wouldn't have been out hard to do that don't you know the bottom me yes I am realism no potential murder is there ever been a scene that's too funny or too emotional there's definitely been too funny yeah to emotional not so much because we use it yet if you get emotional and start crying a scene just use it with it I'll always remember and Emmett yep Sammy a luggage just getting so so into it she just sigh crying but funny all the time money always there's so many take like taste there's so many things because we just crack up laughing we always sort of eventually nail it because we know it's so funny it has to go in yeah because we know if it's that funny to watch do you live in a 12-piece okay to make pretty cakes pain just kinda sucks so may take I didn't tell any of you are serving I'm in anticipation what about you pretty cake you can see all of that in our patreon booth and I've got to say Blackwell files has been the most emotionally and physically difficult thing that we've ever felt definitely been like the most pressured like some of the things we have to do some of the story lot and it's just it's so intense and I'm really excited for it to go up if I but I really exhausting clubs under 10 pages let mr. gross black words will be returning on the last Monday of July so to help right then and when it's done we might be doing the custom poetry extra longer size of the entire entire series that cuz I thought how local cars going to drive in okay guys thank you so much for sending in all of your questions
