good people if the me7 was too big for you the nd5 is here slightly more compact more budget-friendly version still carrying a lot of the DNA but if the nd7 was too small for you you know 120 mil plebs we have the nv9 that supports 140s now all right but first huge thanks to our sponsors for this computex trip phantix MSI Cooler Master and turmo take for making this trip possible so this is the nd5 the smaller brother of the nv7 and also is slightly more budget friendly but bringing a lot of the Envy elements into a smaller chassis so still this beautiful Corner glass without any support in this corner while still having a very strong structure so if you do remove the glass panels don't worry about the top flexing so much like on most of the cases there are two biggest differences with the nd5 versus the nd7 number one is the power supply is no longer at the top hidden in the second chamber now it's been moved to the bottom so slightly more traditional but there are a few interesting elements that they've added with this reconfiguration so number one is that we can add a bottom fan for intake because we no longer have that at the front for the visual purposes and only 120 mil fans so for a mid Tower in this category it's still very much true to the NV form factor of only supporting 120 fans but wait until we see the md9 because that's a different story so the idea is making everything look clean from all the sides so obviously from the front from the side and even the back so even though we no longer have the door that covers all the i o exit we have slight protrusions on all the panels giving you a little bit of that bevel uh what's that the power supply shroud has a beautiful argb outline slightly thicker at the top so it's a bit more visible at certain angles that's by Design you can remove the front plate in order to give you access for the power supply that by the way is angled at the back as you can see for slightly easier installation so the power supply simply just slides back into position and it aligns with the holes perfectly thank you very much we have some velcro straps of the back too for cable management and a really interesting addition at the back here is that the bottom three PCI slots are merged into one plate so when you populate a three slot GPU at the top the bottom uh is all one piece so it looks better and actually performs better because there's slightly less restriction for your airflow as it you know takes all the airflow from the back side nice and smart nice and clever nice and easy what's what's the what's beautiful beautiful okay we'll take it so the main cooling here is done by the side intake or exhaust and the top still allowing you 63 millimeters for radiator instead of fans if you're going for the T30 the d30s the 30 millimeter radiator instead of fans that will be perfectly fine even for the side so it will not bounce uh bounce I keep saying bounce it will not Bunch touch there's no clearance issues like what's the word so there are no clearance issues for the side or the top and it will come with a GPU support bracket that mounts directly into the frame also has slight height variation for the GPU so they can actually support the angle or like the top end of the graphics card and not just something very close to the motherboard area looking in the back it's pretty straightforward we do have this cable cover that opens can mount uh four ssds or three three and a half inch drives is that right and the rest looks like a pretty standard mid tower that is aimed at beautifying your setup and the last two pieces of information it will not come with any fans just like the mv7 did not so you populate your own and the price is 129. so I would say you know fairly competitive for for this Market but also providing some interesting features that are not normally found in this like fish tank type of configuration but now with the power supply inside the main tank instead of being on a separate chamber and the i o here is at the top also angled they have added a reset switch because a lot of people have requested that on the nv7 dual USB A's uh headset Jack you know your mode and color switches for the built-in RGB and of course to USBC now before we move on to the start of the show which is the md9 let's talk about these really interesting accessories that are being introduced with the nd5 starting with this high resolution phantix display it's 5 inches 1440p resolution it is runoff HDMI and micro USB at the back so the micro USB cable will run into a SATA connection so you can power it directly within the computer case but you can also run the USB cable to the back of the motherboard if you want this thing like sitting on your desk beside you so this hi-res display as you can see can be mounted on the nv5 in front of the power supply cover so it's a really cool location if you want to showcase any of your information there because of these brackets the display can be mounted on any of the fan locations either horizontal or vertical orientation it's also magnetic so it can stick it on any of the surfaces inside your enclosure additionally with the nv5 we have this premium drgb kit so by default the case only has the lighting around the power supply shroud but now you can get this L shape diffusion kits for the bottom the top and the side of the enclosure the lighting strips are Daisy chained to each other with the phantixes usual connector so you can also run them separately either just the side or just the bottom and the top together to really highlight the glass and the the frame of where you're looking at and perhaps nothing on the interior so that's really good the diffusion from what I'm looking at and this is just a prototype is actually quite nice matches very well to what the diffusion we see on the power supply shroud and so for the nv5 for this accessory to be available phantix is also curious to see if people will be interested in this accessory for the nv9 and the nv7 so let us know in the comments what you think because everything is connected directly into the case I can also change the lighting modes and different colors which is super super handy and they've worked really hard to making sure the hardware and all the processing and the effects work really well so you don't have to rely on any other software and notice there's this little half motherboard cover that covers your 24 pin cable that is also air HB for that additional beautiful showcase the last two pieces of information for the RGB strips is the price at 69 a little steep for you know just the the three pieces of uh diffusion and the LED but it looks really good really amplifies the enclosure and speaking of amplification the case will come or not the case the strips will come with its own amplification kit so that all the LEDs can run off properly when plugged into the controller for the enclosure and you can also run them off the motherboard directly as well okay all right so now let's talk about the big player the mv9 the star of the show here bigger and better performance with the view right like all these slogans really fit this enclosure so everyone who found the nv7 to be slightly too small because of lack of 140mm fan support So this thing delivers on all those promises so even though it can support all those fans and it's slightly bigger it doesn't feel that much bigger when they're side by side with the md7 this thing is only 40 millimeters taller and 20 millimeters wider and lengthier than the nv7 so all in all in volume not that much bigger but it will satisfy all those people who want the 420 on the radiators and even the 480s right visually this thing resembles the nd7 perfectly in terms of that beautiful Showcase of your components and it's exactly the nv7s lineup and concept we still have the the rear door cover to hide all your cables but there are a few interesting additions now on the back let's check them out so removing the back panel first of all we have this now removable side bracket that was previously attached to the frame on the nv7 and here with the nv9 it's a really easy reconfiguration just a single thumb screw at the top and you can pull this out for installation of all your stuff on the outside which is really smart especially when you're dealing with something that's now can support much bigger radiators and fans the second adjustment is this cable cover slash power supply cover so they over complicated things I would I would say on the nv7 I did not really use the the looping system and now this is just a simple door so here once all your cables pass through you can just simply close it and this thing will also support four ssds or three three and a half inch drives and we also have an additional bracket down here and this bracket will support dual ssds of course can be removed or you can stuff cables underneath it if you're looking for a little extra cleaning but once the door is closed everything is hidden anyway another small addition is the slightly wider base for your power supply whereas on the md7 once you install the power supply it had the risk of falling out but the base here is wire so this thing just stays nice and put so the larger mb9 is really built around 140 mm fans that means that just like on the md7 if you mount three 140mm fans at the bottom and the top they align perfectly the same thing with the side ventilation you can of course do dual 140s at the back just like you could with the Dual 120s on the nv7 and overall the concept and the the character of the enclosure is still the same just supporting larger fans we still have the same motherboard sort of Showcase with the archb lighting we do have this optional uh upright position GPU bracket that will come with the nv9 as an optional accessory it has its own genital Riser cable as you can see and for this really interesting and weird showcase for the GPU but this thing can also be mounted on any 140mm Mount so not just upright but if you want to mount it at the bottom here or the top that's also possible a little weird so that means three four 20 mm radios are supported at the same time so top bottom on the side or you can do a 420 at the top and bottom and the 480 on the side for those 120 Mill lovers you know because this case is wider too eatx motherboard is now even better so up to 280 millimeters are supported without the need to remove the side bracket but if your motherboard is slightly wider then you can remove the side bracket and still have all the clearance additionally with the nv9 we we have this premium GPU bracket that is RGB of course that beautiful RGB illumination the bottom that ties in with the other illumination around the motherboard which looks awesome so this premium bracket is supported with seven PCI slots at the back it can either go on an angle like you see here this is 15 degrees and can go up to 30 or you can mount it with additional support at the back with the motherboard for that totally non-saggy GPU regardless of the size this bracket will cost 99 and it's a universal bracket as well so you can install it in other cases for that beautiful vertical or angled showcase and of course it's a Gen 4 Riser cable as well the mv9 will also come with a reset switch based on the feedback from the nv7 which is nice and the top i o we have the Dual mode for dual Channel RGB that you can now sync together so when it comes to changing the RGB of all the channels inside your system they will be able to sync for easier RGB control and that's the new NV line the new smaller nd5 the nv9 the nd7 still is a nice middle ground and they're not deviating from the concept of trying to Showcase your Hardware which is a really good uh excuse for like trying to go for something like this versus trying to purchase any of their PC series for example totally different configurations and approach and I really like that differentiation I'm really excited to test that bottom intake fan in front of the PSU shout on the nv5 and really see what type of cooling you can achieve when you don't have the front intake and the nv9 of course is just the response to everyone who said that the nv7 was small which is hilarious but makes sense the new 140 millimeter D30 fans are coming out so performance with the view is coming at exactly the right time so I'm dwitry thanks so much for watching our computex coverage I'll talk to you in the next video
