NOOB vs PRO: Underwater Racing! (Scrap Mechanic Gameplay)

what's up guys my name is khan and we're back today with more newbie pro scrap mechanic joined once again by dapper hello sir how are you doing today hello pretty good pretty good how are you doing good good good so we got a car here uh do you want to hop in uh you just gotta jump through the windows there's some seats um so we're gonna do something really cool today we're gonna do uh the underwater race so you gotta build a car and that's pretty much it and then and then we go into the water slowly sink to the bottom yeah this car this car is apparently not heavy enough to stick but anyway we've got a course here you can see there's some barrels and uh we've got an underwater course so we're gonna start on land and go through a complete underwater course and end up on the other side now um you might actually do pretty well with this i i don't really know how to make a a good underwater car i mean i know you have to make it heavy obviously so it sinks but other than that i don't really know like what will make it better um than yours so i mean you know there's a there's a potential here you can't use any thrusters uh that's the the main thing because we can't actually propel ourselves you have to like propel yourselves with some sort of spinning wheel like a car so you have to drive on the bottom of the ocean so i mean that's gonna be that's gonna be the challenge to figure out what makes the best underwater car all right dapper 15 minutes on the clock um yeah i don't know i don't say good luck build a car i'm probably not going to do i don't know i want to do something aesthetic but i kind of don't because i feel like aesthetics are gonna like float you know what i mean like right i don't know we'll see i think it depends on the buoyancy yeah everything's yeah everything's dependent on buoyancy and weight right like if it's too heavy it won't flow i don't know just heavy is i feel like weight is important too but right all right and three two one whatever we're using i built one of those cool sick are you first or i don't know who's first we didn't even paint our garages who went first last week do you remember um no i don't i have a bad memory okay i'll i'll just go first i i started with a giant brick and then i thought maybe i could make it look less like a brick but this is what i built whoa what so there's reason there's methods behind the madness i didn't use wheels what are these wheels these are cement tubs cement mix what they're round so they behave like wheels they have a weight of eight and a buoyancy of one with a friction of six okay you even have brake lights a regular wheel has a buoyancy of six and a friction of five with a weight of four so technically speaking these have more friction than a regular wheel interesting so i don't know if that that helps but needless to say it's a it's a tank um it is and then it's made of aluminum which is also i looked through all the blocks aluminum and sand have the highest weight for lowest buoyancy i have some concrete three in the front and i stiffened the back suspension but yeah it's just it's just i guess oh my god it's a tank and then oops i i got stuck okay well i'm useless here hold on and then i think like i'll sink pretty pretty quick i hope okay maybe not it doesn't really i don't know it's it's so hard to tell i tried to just maximize the weight and minimize the buoyancy like that's what i went for right i used all materials that that did that so i don't know if it's actually going to work or not anyway let's see what you've got a grill look at that yeah yeah but the grill like the grill doesn't add weight but it doesn't really have buoyancy it's only boise one so it's like whatever all right and uh so i built this guy wait what you build like a tiny little car yeah do you even you sink oh i sink you have so many wheels i figured your wheels would yeah check this out you ready yeah how fast do you sink not the fastest no but that's still pretty it's still pretty quick you do sync eventually eventually um okay you might look so small i thought you were gonna make like something big and bulky i made a huge thing compared to i could probably run you over probably you definitely could um so it goes faster going uphill yeah yeah it's because your wheels need grip as long as your wheels have grip on the bottom of the ocean like you go so it's a matter of like sinking enough to keep your wheels down you know what i mean like that's right that's the name of the game i built a tank oh my god mine's like a monster i basically built a go-kart yeah like i thought i well i built it to try and scale to the size of these stupid cement wheels you sink uh really fast i'm pretty worried here i i think so i don't know like i have no idea what to expect dude i feel like this is the challenge that you're gonna beat me on if you're gonna be but you get you know this round plus redemption round so we'll see but i feel like if you're gonna beat me this might this might be the one all right count us in when you're ready all right three two one go oh my god you just it's so stupid you just drive it in the water come on sick thank you stupid tag sick sink okay my eyes are so bad down here like i can't even i should have did reverse rear steering all right all right we're doing good now now that my wheels are on the ground i'm just like killing it yeah i wanted back steering and front steering which i have like six wheels simply because in case the front wheels lift up the back wheels can still turn dude i am hauling do you see how fast i go i see oh my gosh for a second i thought i was hauling but nope dude this is ridiculous is it redonkulous it's i don't know it's bordering on ridonkulous it's i'm so fast the humvee was so slow oh my gosh you're gone i really though when i come out of the hills it's just like it's just weight it's just weight with no this is like the best underwater vehicle ever i need to figure out where to get cement mix in uh i know it's in the warehouses but i don't like i guess i could take it out of the warehouses the cement mix blocks and survival man you build a bunch of these can you like pick them up and put them back down in survival not well yes and no i mean to get stuff out of the warehouse is a process you're eventually supposed to be able to do it but like you're not so it's a long story short it's a process it's not really intended but it's possible it's um okay well this race course was so much longer when i built it and then i realized like i didn't realize i was gonna build a vehicle that could do it in like a minute i'm like done i was crazy i don't know i think it's so fast wow this is redonkulously fast it's actually i'm just gonna go backwards and come find you again this is so like once it gets on the bottom it just never gets off the bottom and it just stays down there man my testing like i thought i was flying so like i thought i actually had a chance dude i'm just so quick it's ridiculous oh my gosh like i don't think it's because i have an electric engine i think it's simply because i just weigh so much tank that thing is serious i'm making the executive decision because i don't want to give up my vehicle that you have to actually like fix yours because okay fair because i wouldn't have been able to choose between the two anyway i don't i don't i don't want you to take my vehicle because i'd rather see you fix yours and and make it faster i'll help you here i'll help you a little bit i feel like what you need to do is have more weight and that's pretty much it all right kahn you ready to see my changes yeah let's see what you did all right here we go hapow okay it's it's bigger it is bigger it's a lot bigger heavier uh yeah you're not using wheels anymore that's good that's good what else you got you got oh four wheel steering okay okay yep so you basically just just made a giant brick with four-wheel steering learning from the pros i see bricks are the superior vehicle in scrap mechanic yes they are all right well good luck i mean i feel like you got a better chance now you're you look you look heavier yeah it feels great too all right you ready yeah count us in let's do it all right three two one go oh my god your acceleration is crazy it's because i'm an electric engine the electric engines just accelerate it's all about the sinking though you gotta you gotta kind of let yourself sink there bud i see that all right i'm off man you are already down i am off to the races all right come on front wheels get down there get down oh yes yes oh no oh no yes yes oh no he's stuck come on you're off screw up no way i hit that barrel i was trying to look behind me to see how you were doing and i didn't know where i was going you gotta go to the right bud where are you going oh i'm blind i cannot see the barrels clearly are going this way i can't see the barrels all the seaweed's in the way i'm blind are you like on some weird like fov or something are you zoomed super in are you first person driving no i'm like super far out or as far out as i can go i think my first person driving is actually pretty terrible oh no just kind of scrape it along here oh come on come on come on what are you doing dude i'm still still so quick i i don't know you're you're killing it it looks sick it feels like i'm driving on like the moon or something you know i got like six wheels and everything and man i feel like i'm flying but you were just trying to sink down into this hold on there we go come on out perfect i'm driving on my pack two wheels i'm wheeling through this dip yeah the dips are the worst we should have put like a ton of jumps on this course because every time you go off a jump you would have just been screwed and just like having to float back down that's true all right i'm gonna wait right here on the final stretch just yeah you should have to back into the final stretch all right i mean i mean i'm literally having an electric engine it's the same speed i'm pretty sure every engine this game goes the same speed forward and backwards well you better start going because look here we go does it count did i do it oh you did it dude i don't know i just it just this thing is just heavy it just happens it's a sick vehicle it just sinks you know what i learned it's this block here i used aluminum block man aluminum block has very high weight and very low buoyancy i really should do some experiments though comparing like the different blocks because aluminum block is lighter than the concrete 3 but it's got the uh the more weight so i don't know what are you doing you want to race back is that yeah i'm stealing your your design here oh okay okay all right all right come on let's go let's go back bud let's go you know what let's just drive straight across the garages don't don't worry about the course just just race through the garages you know what i'm saying that sounds good yeah you ready you ready whenever you want to turn to the water man it's up to you i'm i'm gonna go across and cut over but oh oh is he doing it i'm going i'm going for it just go over the diagonal okay okay okay okay okay oh no there's a rock in my way oh no oh i flipped oh i went right over the you flipped already i went right off the rock come on let's go this is a nice vehicle you built here dude it feels cool still it feels really cool coming for you though dana yeah you are this is still a really cool challenge yeah i i like i feel like there's more things we can do underwater i feel like i feel like we haven't really done much we haven't even splashed the surface you get it because it's like scratching the surface but it's why anyway let us
