No minion mage is as strong as ever! Hearthstone forged in the barrens

[Music] hey guys i'm currently a rank three legend with uh no minion mage sort of i was doing rush warrior played some other things dropped down to rank 20 started playing and no minion mage and i'm currently rank three uh it's really strong right now and i think part of the reason for me it might be different for you guys is it's actually just getting better and better better why because priest is going up priestess i'm playing just so much priests right now and this deck crushes priest if you know how to play it well uh it's so it's just very good um at just continuously bursting priests you just have one minion at a time and i think part of the the reason other decks are struggling with priests is hysteria so you get this catch-22 with with other decks where um if you play into hysteria but by playing more minions well they get to clear your board and get really efficient value but if you don't play estheria into hysteria well they just might just you just don't kill them fast enough no minion mage is different because we have so much burn um and we have also the things that do two things at once so peg's blast the same card in general super good against freeze because we can impact we can remove a minion or just hit face and develop i'm gonna continue to just have this like a toe this line where we're just developing a little bit and we're just a little bit annoying and then all of a sudden we go for big burst turns i'm a big fan of one of the best plays i think to do against priest specifically but it can be great against other decks as well as go primordial studies and get the 2 3 the phoenix and then juice you set up a one-turn kill uh with that so i think i've had games where i've literally burst my opponent down from 30 health so um i'm not you people ask me all the time why are you not running deck of lunacy i think you guys know the answer it's four mana it's too slow uh there's not really good statistical evidence right now that is openly available on hs replay so i could see there being benefits for it uh eventually um it's hard to really evaluate statistically i don't like it personally um but i know other people have had success with the four mana deck of lunacy so it's it's still i think the but i'm not writing it and i'm ranked three legend with it right now so you definitely don't need it um so if you wanted i would say also you know it's it's 1600 dust if you're not if not sure just don't run it uh it's for mana the deck is already really good right now um but yeah so i'm running one netherland portal uh it's just sort of two of everything that you'd expect um and two ring toss i'm a big fan of the two ring toss uh and i'm only running three one flamethrower two mask of c'thun's uh with it with the not using running lunacy part of the benefit of running two flame strike two masking cthunes is you get four ten mana spells but now without the deck of lunacy it's just not is uh relevant so i like just running one uh flame trick is usually one of the weaker cards in the deck according to stats which surprises me because i'm always like oh i hope my opponent does that flame strike uh i'm nowhere i'm never going to cut that card but i i could see you know sometimes it is a little awkward it's a little slow uh but yeah anyways so the kind of the same strategies before uh mulligan for encounters flow really hard uh sometimes keep conditional cards like you're playing aggro uh like certain decks devolving missiles is really good think about this my opponent have a card i really wanted devolving really good example efficient october against rogue really good for devolving um stuff like uh if your opponent's playing miracle priest evolving is insane so think about uh if devolving is good um and against the specific match up sometimes it's hard because there might be different archetypes uh but it's generally decent bond to powers generally keep but i would would not generally keep two um and then uh sometimes i keep refreshing spring water especially i like to think um is this a a matchup that's likely to go longer or is it not so if i'm playing against like a warlock for example i think i would keep refreshing spring water where if i was playing against a hunter i would really or maybe even just like a warrior i'd want a little bit more faster stuff than turn four so that's the general mulligan uh advice so stuff you probably heard before and other stuff but uh anyways hope you guys like this um and yeah go destroy some priests with this deck so [Music] anyways yeah maybe i should have gone for i don't know it was rougher job done evening the way she is i don't know everybody's like uses this word unhealthy like somehow i go to the doctor they're like you know you're dying of token attack is killing you you need to you need to get more vitamin c like like that's not how health really i don't know i just feel like that term's like really overused yeah toxic good you've got me fired up kind of devolving there i'm too tired of together to keep putting support for my least favorite dream archetype you know hello hope you're doing well lady austria let's see guys people guys somebody has to make a like super size v but for token drawer it's like i'm gonna play nothing but token druid for a month you know and like i went to my doctor he's like oh it's okay i wonder oh thanks fc usher i i don't have any problem with tokidrid uh that's the thing i have no problem with tokendrid i think it's a deck with lots of integ competitive merit and uh high skill integrity but people with someone was saying oh it's a bad like i don't know so i was just you know in defense it's just one of those things like i know that the deck that we just lost to is always too powerful i know that i know that's a true like that's a universal truth of being a streamer is the deck you just lost to but sometimes i'm like maybe i could lose another one you know i don't know i mean it's more like the same deck that they've done for like a freaking thousand years do i go rage fair uh i i don't think let's go mirror they're going to play minion eventually am i right actually don't think i go counterspell i think i'd rather just have these like awkward like minions when you play this card exactly bob slime we go full double think on it when we play priests priest needs a buff we play against priests and needs a nerf now you understand well it's it's the community that could cried nerf like people cry nerfs for literally everything so it's like loses its value because it's like every single deck is broken every single deck is toxic every single deck needs a nerf yeah i don't think so you know all right so craig thank you so much for the four months think i just do fonda power for two things here i could push him down actually do i set up a two turn here maybe i set up a two turn i kind of like setting up a two turn because like because then i can go uh ring toss plus uh occultist next turn and uh like now they're just scared if yeah if you're if you're a priest here you're scared for your life like they say they're all filthy breastfeeding did noise dormant do you think i actually i think i would do just fine i uh i just don't like the concept of noise dormu for uh the gm like i actually speak of it me and i'm going to announce it on twitter me and jombre are planning on doing a nordstrom move off tomorrow so uh yeah be there they don't we don't really have that many good things for them to uh so uh i gotta announce that i gotta send them a message uh but yeah we're gonna be doing a nas off so should be fun hopefully it is uh uh these spots are so awkward i wish i had a minion to play here oh that's actually so freaking good guys oh my god that's so freaking good i know they can just go mask a c'thun here but now i can play this and i deny their their apotheosis here and i forced their hand for next turn [Music] i tasted um hey my rope coach exactly i intend to deceive what do you think about deep freeze in this deck um i think it's a great idea one of the actually the highest hs replay uh but it's a meta call so um so i'm not sure but it's like i think it's definitely something that you should be consider considering but i'm not sure if it's right oh their order is so good here i just got back top 200 with this like i think he can really effectively uh activate his game plan in that spot so but i'd love to get encounters flow here okay i intend to deceive all right primordial studies is good too [Music] dude that trick tone of value guys dude why would you not run trick totem and you're why are we hard-writing this card today come forth actually a full clear but it's at what cost guys i actually feel like i keep a pex this blast like i need more value over um i think i prefer having more value to card draw because even though this is insane card row we have to win in fatigue so and i have this so like they don't have a threat here they have five cards so i think we try to not go draw cards if we can i don't even think i think i wait here at this point like just try and play control but half like huge amount of cards are card draw at this point so they've already gone uh lucia here so but the problem is if i have to card draw here it puts me at a disadvantage but i do have the massive c'thun so it makes it a little easier but they just don't have threats like they have a bunch of reactive spells in their hand but this is good i can actually delay my fatigue if i need it um yeah that might actually be legit i'm not sure randomer i mean the it's actually one additional fatigue is actually more important than my opinion then um i don't know if there's a way they can steal it though so like i know may priest finds a way but like how does he win here like what's his win condition i'm almost out of cards no he's thinking he's gonna win because he has heal but he's not like that's not gonna matter he's another dress for prayers but that's like yeah so he's taking two more damage a turn i'm gonna wait like one more turn wait conveniently timed it yeah nice play ready with the astromancer play this turn it seems reasonable all right i'm i'm gonna kill it myself i killed it myself [Applause] that gives me one additional fatigue this puts me a huge advantage i think how much damage can i do here i can do uh 16 damage i think i just wait another turn [Music] [Applause] what knowledge do the stars provide okay um do i have a gear like a lethal here so i can go mask like i just do a pectus plus into the mask here i think why are we not playing anything um we're in fatigue we're head on fatigue and all we're trying to do is like put him in an unwinnable situation so uh not give them any outs to win there all right let's see um i think i almost um you'd be surprised how often your hand just gets too full of crap that's why i'm not a fan of the uh do i go coin and cantor's flow here i think i'm gonna wait like warlock puts enough pressure to like kill you by turning 30 so you full tosser flow yet in this matchup i think so for sure like i don't think we keep refreshing certain matchups you don't um i would keep font um but i think refreshing spring one is better going first than on coin as well because you have four cards so you're much more likely to hit card draw where okay beauty discovery oh no guys it happened dude we were high rolling the quality too long [Music] you one please hit this no freaking way round two that's very frustrating hey no no only all one minion uh and one out of eight times it hits all the one men you don't hit so it's not even that unlikely mathematically um class is bad i'm in trouble guys how do i win here okay we can draw for like a thousand next turn i guess that's the line hmm i'm wondering okay next turn i draw for a thousand but um wondering if i flame shake they don't have a way to like hit me in the face really you know the directions i think i go for a lethal actually i think it's better i don't know about this this is so many possibilities [Music] all right let's see if we can find a ridiculous lethal here very good start do i even want to draw that many cards no i don't this'll take devolving i'm uh did i get there oh i got dude dude easy game boys your horse yours uh i have raised yeah so yeah that's that's true nether's better against against everything but aggro but ice berries are gonna get aggro so you don't pick the one you've got me fired up that face when you get to corrupt your dude even more discounts guys yeah i don't know if i should done that we'll see i play her and i play cram session next turn and i hope to hit like a evolving until like i don't know i could hit i also can hit refreshing spring waters and basically net three mana at this point which is nice problems i don't using all my bursts even though it's only one mana denying of a threat is probably decent there so uh then we can pull this off guys i could just fold clear here it's actually a very reasonable line just puts me in the driver's seat you know maybe i do and i don't have to worry about like i think i do actually oh that's really good why not hero power them in flame strike um i wanted to use my men on other things but in hindsight maybe better i just wanted to do more efficient stuff but against priests you can take your time so no reason to so i missed out on a lot of damage um well we'll take for zoolock to be good again it's actually real weird um but um um that's me if you may not do it become the hero this one that was unfortunate um okay oh wait lethal oh my god look at that oh that was great [Music] you
