Nigerian Aunties Try Other Nigerian Aunties' Puff Puff

it doesn't taste like anything it's even worse than the other one there's no flavor that was a waste of oil i've had enough hi i'm linda e and today i'm going to be tasting other nigerian auntie's puff puff puff off is a sweet puff puff puff puff i enjoy hot puff puff but if it's cold i'll still enjoy it oh it is so lovely to be honest i'm not a fan of pop off oh puff puff is a doughy mix so it's simple sugar good yeast flour mix together with water whatever flavoring it can be nutmeg it can be coconut it can be vanilla just go crazy with it mix it cover it in a warm room for about 30 minutes it comes up you cut and you fry in olive oil very nice so it's like it's nigerian doughnut basically but better it derives its name from the way it puffs up in the oil it goes poof and then stays up there it has to be properly cooked but i'm gonna open it rain cooled down and you'll be like what's this cannot tell you the origin because we all along the west coast of africa going towards south africa puff puff is common i add a sprinkle of coconut sugar just because sugar is not good for us and to make puff puff it normally requires a lot of sugar be careful of your sugar if you have a sugar problem maybe one is enough fantastic with it bottle of a good drink bring on [Music] the presentation matters so it has to be really inviting oh my god this is bonus this one's gonna do ah nice it looks good already i like the size it looks yum yum already see you gotta love the imperfections that come with puff puff i'm not one of those that care about it being a perfect ball although mine normally are i'm just saying you know can smell the nutmeg oh this is hard to touch is soft [Music] very dewy if there's a word like that nice soft just my cup of tea missing very nice that isn't very nice you know what's that sugar in there and i know that's really good for you and i know there's alternative sugar but that doesn't taste like anything i literally just taste like flour there's too much flour in it it's heavy this is not this is really not it a lot of nutmeg the only thing missing is a little bit more sugar taste wise there was nothing to that at all that was just a waste of oil no three three out of ten four eight six [Music] me i came here to come to enjoy dessert you can use coconut sugar which is literally sugar derived from coconut just a sprinkle i know people aren't ready for it [Laughter] i don't know puff puff puff puff this looks good already very nice curvy oh god i don't know how people do this yeah you can see inside it's properly made like i was saying this is very nice you see the because it's heavy it goes down in the dough and it stays there oh my gosh i can't smell anything most times when you cut it off of coffee you smell maybe nutmeg vanilla whatever flavor this is excellent it's very chewy is doing another has plenty of dough if you snack on this you won't be able to have your dinner this looks like the one they sell in the shop to be honest for you to get this product you must be really good in doing pop-up texture is nice size is good but there's no sugar there's no flavor it's okay oh not cooked on the inside oh dear this is it that's purple nine this is excellent let me give you five i'm going to score this e5 my puff puff stands out because i come up with different flavors i go full length try different flavors like doughnuts [Music] i like the coloring you know it looks like it was fried for the right amount of time it's soft which is always good you see this is actually really really properly cooked it smells like it has a flavor to it let's see this is good as well really good it's not bad you know it tastes alright but it's still doing someone has too much oil this looks like a homemade like something that somebody prepared i've had enough once you have too much flour it's difficult not to get into trouble with the oil you can't eat oil this is really nice as well this is really good it could do with a bit more salt obviously obviously i know salt is not good and i know i've been going on about sugar not being good but if you're gonna make it you want it to taste nice right so it could do a bit more salt and maybe a bit more sugar as well so i'll give this one i'd say a five by five no six out of ten six i'll give this one ten ten trust me this is a really really good one [Laughter] to the flour the sugar the yeast and a pinch of salt of a pinch like what i'm talking about when you pinch the salt [Music] [Laughter] where's the rest of it these pop-ups are so tiny [Laughter] size ah very good it's puff puff this is good puff puff are supposed to be big balls like you got you gotta not be afraid to put that mixture into the oil friend yeah no no it's just because it's not big there's nothing wrong with it you understand so but this is really a good one it's just no big texture is good it's almost a little bit cute but really where's the rest of it but anyways here we go no that's not nice you could taste the freshness i don't know a bit too much east or maybe the kind of use to the person used to you've got a way you're doing puff puff you've got to get the best to collect your hair on i'll have a little bit more just to make sure no no i don't really like that one i know flip i don't know what flavor if it's nutmeg or vanilla i can't can't taste it look that side is like this side is like that yeah it's all right we all gotta start somewhere in it i'll have to give it a four a ten for this as well that's really good yeah that one gets a two i'm excited so come to me i'll give you a good pop-up thank you to be honest i'm not surprised i did it in a rush and obviously it was really late i don't know how i could lose that because the other puff parts were just really not amazing oh well it's okay it's all participating in it yes yes thanks for making me win thank you [Music] you
