hello everybody and welcome back as always I am a TA 311 and this is your channel for everything VR related so today we have a long list of mplay VR titles now I'm going to separate it into specific genres everything from free games starter games RPGs you name it I've got it covered now this is primarily for The Meta Quest however the vast majority of these games are multiplatform so it doesn't matter if you're on psvr psvr 2 pcvr or the Quest 2 or even the quest 3 I have you guys covered now there are of course links and time stamps if you want to skip ahead but before we jump in today's video is brought to you by Ridge now I've been using a ridge wallet for over a year and I absolutely love it it's just so much more comfortable than that bulky wallet and look at this it fits tons of cards guys put my money in the strap here I am good to go so definitely recommend this over your old school wallet and one thing that I absolutely love about Ridge is they have so many different designs so it doesn't matter if you're looking for something flashy or simple Ridge definitely has you covered they also sell more than just wallets now including custom keychain holders rings and they're also introducing new items for women this is a great time to go ahead and pick up something from Ridge because they're celebrating their 11year anniversary with limited time sales up to 30% off so go ahead and use the link on screen or down in the description to get in on ridge's limited time sale now before I stop breaking down this list I just want to briefly mention starter games if you're new to VR certain titles may be overwhelming or could possibly induce some emotion sickness we want to avoid that so definitely take it slow and if you ever experience feeling overwhelmed getting a little nauseous get out of VR you cannot push through it just slowly build up your VR legs now throughout the video I will denote games as starter games I'll put a little star or some type of notification on them so that you know they're good if you're a VR Noob other than that if you don't experience any motion sickness feel free to jump into whatever looks cool but again again if it's a little overwhelming yeah follow that star a game recommendation additionally if you have any titles that I didn't mention today definitely go ahead and drop them in the comments all right let's start off with some free games free games is a great place to start for anyone who just bought into VR because you just recently spent at least $250 but most likely a bit more now depending on what headset you picked up you may have been given access to Quest plus which is meta's subscription service and I highly recommend you try all of these games it's an absolutely fantastic sampling of what VR has to offer and just about all of them are very Noob friendly with the exception of onward a Township tail a Spire one VR operative and Jurassic world aftermath a good portion of people will feel comfortable to Jumping right away but if you're struggling to get your VR legs take some time before you jump into those specific games but moving into games that are free for everyone a great first thought is wck room not only is this a very friendly social application but it also has tons of mini gamess and user generated content it's definitely on the more casual ual side and populated with a younger demographic but it's undeniably fun and I highly recommend that everyone at least gives it a shot if you're looking for more action though we have vr's number one battle royale population 1 pop 1 takes the normal Battle Royale formula but gives it VR specific mechanics like climbing and gliding plus there's a ton of unlockable content and they're always running some type of special event now if you enjoy the mechanics but competition isn't really for you they also have a Sandbox World Builder so you can go ahead and create unique gameplay modes or just some cool hangout spots now if you want to keep things ground and you're just looking for a game of poker I highly recommend Poker Stars VR just jump in sit at a couple random tables make some friends unlock a few cool items over time but most importantly go ahead and get your card game fixed now if you're more of a trading card game person I absolutely love cards and tank RS similar to something like magic the Gathering you'll build up your own unique deck then jump into some public taverns and either go ahead and have a few casual games or get highly competitive it's also great to just spectate other live sessions for both entertainment and learning new strategies now another one of my personal favorite freeto playay games is the shooter hyper Dash this Arena shooter constantly offers up fastpac action with an array of different gameplay modes some aspects that set it apart and make it perfect for VR is both a unique rail gliding mechanic and also the ability to perform multiple small teleportation hops it feels absolutely fantastic in VR and creates a unique experience that you really can't get anywhere else now speaking of unique there's two more titles that I absolutely have to mention the first one is the social application VR chat which is basically a whole new world for you to explore and meet new people now VR social applications aren't for everyone but I at least recommend you jump in a few times and find out what you're missing and reluctantly I'll say the same goes for gorilla tag I personally don't understand how this title is so popular but the overall VR Community just eats it up it features unique Locomotion mechanics that'll feel like you're doing arm day at the gym and it'll definitely take a while before you master movement this is also basically just a wacky sandbox experience where people chase each other around but like I said it's extremely popular and everyone should at least give it a shot now we're moving out of free titles and into more casual gameplay which The Meta Quest is absolutely well suited for the vast majority of people's first VR experience is with beaber and it's definitely a great go-to VR game now while I am listing this as a casual game because it's so easy to just pick up understand and stop playing immediately it's also a title that can get extremely challenging and competitive so if you end up loving the mechanics this might be the only VR game you ever need because be games just keeps pumping out more and more soundtracks the quest also comes with a free demo of beat saer so try it out and see if you like it now another casual game that I like to start people off with is space pirate trainer this is a simplistic looking wave shooter with a surprising amount of strategy and an absolutely fantastic sound track wave after wave of flying enemy drones will just keep coming after you and you have an array of different guns at your disposal to dispatch them there's also plenty of powerups to strategically utilize and no matter how many times I've jumped into this game it is always fun at the end of the day though it is still just a wave shooter and you will eventually get bored of it so if you enjoy the gameplay but if you're looking for a bit more I recommend you go with Mother gunship forged while this is also a wave shooter it's also a bullet hell and Rog likee with unique weapon building mechanics throughout each run you'll find different gun parts that you could slap together and build some of the craziest Contraptions the game also features some incredible boss fights so I definitely recommend you check out this title now something else that people always want to check out especially if they recently got a quest 3 is mixed reality the first encounter is a free demo app that comes with the quest and it will give you a pretty cool example of what mixed reality is all about but it's not really a game probably the best mixed reality experience I've played so far is for Dro dead the cabin this will turn part of your house into a bunker that you need to defend from zombies it's definitely a lot of fun and makes mixed reality shine as you can see in the footage of me playing with my entire family now mix reality is also begging for some tabletop experiences and in that case I highly recommend you try deio and Bam now demio is constantly referred to as Dungeons and Dragons in VR but that's definitely not the case and it's just more of a tabletop Dungeon Crawl Experience regardless of it's fantastic played in or out of mixed reality now bam is a much more casual party style brawler you control a little robot who needs to hold on to a crown as long as possible to win the game so it's a fun little game of King of the Hill that you can enjoy both locally or over the internet now if you're a fan of puzzle games VR is absolutely perfect for this experience it's almost like getting your own little personal highly immersive escape room at the top of my list is easily Red Man 2 which not only features some truly challenging puzzles but also delivers a fantastic and absolutely creepy storyline it also just so happens to offer up some of the best graphics we've seen in BR now if you want an even spookier atmosphere their seventh guest this is a remake of a classic video game and they definitely did the original Justice you'll wander through a haunted house solving puzzles and witnessing what all the ghostly inhabitants are up to they utilized a really cool technology in this game where they actually filmed people were then brought into the games 3D environments as ghostly apparitions but if you prefer your puzzles to be on the fun side I have to recommend I expect you to die this is an absolutely hilarious and extremely quirky escape room where death is around every corner working as agent Phoenix the top spy in the industry you'll be disarming bombs infiltrating enemy headquarters and of course fighting for your life as enemy after enemy tries to catch you in a trap the I expect you to die series now has three titles and also a free mix reality demo all of which I highly recommend now if you're a fan of Platformers the go-to game is moss moss book 1 and two is an absolutely magical series I originally turned my nose up at this game thinking it just wasn't my style but after finally trying it I absolutely fell in love there's stunningly beautiful environments clever puzzles excellent combat and easily one of vr's most memorable characters quill the mouse she's absolutely adorable and by the end of the game you'll feel like you two are close buddies now moving into the most overpopulated genre of VR we have the Rog likes when it comes to VR it feels like you can't throw a stick without hitting a couple Rog likes but I will say some stand out much higher than others two of my personal recommendations include the fighting titles until you fall and underdogs until you fall drops you into this neon colored fantasy creature filled world that'll have you dodging blocking and countering attacks with an array of different weapons that you get to dual wield not only will this game challenge your skills but also your cardio as it's extremely intense it's an older title but still easily one of my favorite VR games of all time now underdogs on the other hand is brand new dripping with style and also offers up some absolutely fantastic combat you'll be piloting a multi-ton gorilla style Mech in underground pit fights in a dystopian World punting enemies across the screen never gets old and there's an excellent array of different weapons and power ups that makes every run feel unique and fun the developers also have a new road map of upcoming features so this game's only going to get better over time and speaking of games that are getting better over time we have the threers co-op RPG dungeons of Eternity this game is surprisingly addictive featuring unique elements plenty of Loot and an excellent progression system they've also pulled off some surprisingly good physics-based Combat on The Meta Quest this is the type of game that continues to surprise you after 10 20 30 hours you'll run across a new boss that you've never seen before or a new Dynamic level type the randomized gear is also a great little incentive to have you coming back for more and this is yet another title with an excellent looking road map now sticking with co-op games but moving into Shooters my favorite Co-op shooter is after the fall there's nothing like mowing down hordes of zombies or in this case snow breed with a bunch of your friends the huge array of unlockable weapons items and skins will keep you coming back for more and there's also multiple different gameplay modes that keep things exciting now if you're looking for a PVP shooter I'm going to speedrun the options and compare them to their flat screen equivalents ghost of four is your typical extraction shooter it's similar to something like escape from tarov you'll jump into the world loot kill any threats you see or basically anything that moves and hopefully make it back out alive for a more tactical military style Sim we have onward which can definitely be a bit overwhelming and too realistic for some people but for many others it's a fan favorite if you enjoy Battle Royale I have already mentioned population 1 but there is also a new title sliding onto the scene which is contractor Showdown which isn't available just yet but it's looking pretty damn good if you're more of a Call of Duty guy I recommend the original contractors which also happens to have an array of amazing mods there's breaches for those who enjoy the Tactical combat found in games like Rainbow Six Siege you'll get an array of different weapons and devices to help you defend or breach a location and it's definitely a unique VR experience and finally we have vr's Counterstrike which is Pavlov it's honestly a clone of Counter-Strike featuring similar maps gameplay modes and even the same type of mods overall besides hyper Dash this has been my number one favorite competitive shooter but then again it all comes down to the style of gameplay you're looking for now I'll briefly mention the horror genre which isn't really my style most people's go-to game will be Five Nights at Freddy's help wanted so if you like that type of creepy jump scare action sure go ahead play it it's just not for me I prefer more of the action horror shooter genre with games like Resident Evil 4 and Lies Beneath Resident Evil 4 is a remake of the classic game and I highly recommend it for those who enjoy the original or those who have never experien it at all I'm a bit of a coward when it comes to VR horror themed games but Resident Evil 4 wasn't that much to handle and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience Lies Beneath on the other hand was definitely a bit creepier but definitely another unique horror themed experience that I highly recommend it features some excellent audio cool comic book style graphics and a Trippy storyline that I'll have you wondering what the heck is going on and now I'll finish this video off with my favorite quest game I'm sure if you guys follow the channel you know what it's going to be that's ASG God's Wrath 2 I absolutely love this game it is a single player RPG it's massive like 100 hours long this huge single player experience plus a built-in Rog like game that I play basically every day it's just super addictive honestly if you're an RPG fan I highly recommend it one of my favorite overall VR experiences I know it's not as pretty as the original game but overall what it brings to the table in terms of gameplay combat just writing uh overall depth it's just absolutely fantastic I know a lot of you guys are sick of me hearing me go on and on about this game but I love it so those are the games that I highly recommend you check out like I said I will denote which games are starter games if you're brand new to VR now if you have other titles on your list that you highly recommend drop them in the comments I want to know what they are and if you disagree with any game that I mentioned I want to hear that too I always curious about what you guys are thinking now that was today's video If you enjoyed it you know what to do thumbs up if you're new here please consider subscribing
