New Knife Day: Kiser Sheepdog XL in Carbon Fiber

good evening we're going to take a look at a complete impulse buy um not even sure why i got it other than maybe just because um i've already got a nickname because i know how it's going to go down at work but we're going to take a look here at a new knife made by kaiser and i got it on amazon they were out of stock for a long time and it's been sitting on the watch list forever but we're going to take a look at this thing here and see just how much fun it's going to be so this is the sheepdog xl and with carbon fiber so this thing just the box is massive i mean this is my standard opener and as you can see the blade on this is as wide as the box so let's take a look at this massive knife i'm not even sure this could be considered an edc knife so got another knife by kaiser in there but it's been really nice it's a cleaver style but much smaller so here we've got some paperwork is cleaning cloth and standard advertising with karen feeding so all that's well and good but let's take a look at this beefy boy right here like i said this thing is massive [Music] i mean this this is amazing to me just how this it's not even open yet i mean look at the knife size here i mean that's a three and a half inch roughly blade you know about seven inches overall this thing i love this thing i mean first of all the fit and finish is gorgeous it's i'm not sure if it really shows up well but it is dead center between the scales and that carbon fiber man that feels good looks like there's some g3 underneath but man that it's not slippery i was afraid it was going to be slippery but it's got you can feel the actual fibers a little little bit of oil stuffs on the blade i'll take care of cleaning it later but wow massive and looks like the steel is 154cm i'll verify but this was literally get my other hand out of the way that's huge i mean there is some substantial blade right there i mean it fills my hand and i just look at that fills my hand and it was definitely i mean that's sweet it is not spring assisted i don't know if you could hang on to it if it was but it is definitely smooth you know again look at the amount of steel between those two the blade length is not not much longer than this one if you include the uptick here just a tiny bit longer but that's just a massive amount of steel i mean this this is a knife to cut well anything um the other kaiser i had had a switch to lock it open this one does not i would have i would have thought they'd have done a uh locking switch on this one just because of the amount of steel there and the chopping you can actually probably do i imagine this would make food prep in the field really easy but my god this thing is massive anyway like i said this was an impulse buy i don't really need it well i guess we all know that the perfect number of knives in the house is current plus one so this i now need to find my plus one because this brings my current up but i'm definitely going to have some fun with this like i said i've already got a nickname for this because i know what's going to happen when i take it to work and take it out this is going to be my fidget knife because every time i get it out oh that's nice anodized blue right there in here anytime i get it out and use it it's going to make people fidget i mean that's just massive i think even a switchblade is less intimidating than this thing anyway i just wanted to say new knife day really cool absolutely love it and this is definitely i like this this is sweet so that's the kaiser sheepdog xl and carbon fiber you guys have a great evening
