[Music] hello and welcome to Norfolk gameplays never went to night's enhanced edition I'm your host Lauren and today's be over and do a newbie guy for I never went tonight's alright and this guy you're gonna learn about which campaign to play and what's the class build-up and such is all about so here we go you are all wondering okay I'm playing never won tonight should I jump in no campaign should I do a custom download should I use an epic upgrade yeah don't use it epic upgrader no don't do that so listen instead talk about which campaign should play first off you should play the e or the official campaign which is the original campaign you never went to night campaign already never went to nice shelves at under time now an original campaign to pre luda gives you a tutorial yes it's a very nice set up the whole Tyra put pre lewd so my advice is to do that now if you don't like the storing stuff then the shells of under ties a great alternative my advice is do those two campaigns I mentioned do not do horse of the Underdark campaign because that's like a level 15 campaign and that's a sequel to a shelf under time do not do premium mods too because that's more fan stuff so let's get to the leveling and character collecting stance alright so you're making character you're panicking going what should I make should I make a fighter should I make a wizard should I do this should I do that shot multi-class should I do this this debt I'm gonna be honest with ya calm down calm down just pick whichever one's your favorite let's talk about dice rules first of all they're into one d4 1 d6 2010 28 2012 20 20 the one d4 is too windy 12 your hip points and such sometimes damage to one D 22 roll for me lease and suchlike it's damaged in the armor class is a the higher is more protective you are more hitpoints to have the better you are yeah and I'm just demonstrating that again now there are saves in the game for to say it's resist fiscal stuff such as diseases and poisons reflexes Mora dodging stuff and I surviving traps will save Zara against spells and such which gives you an edge of course now their spell resistance course but that kind of help start your will saves one thing I will point out arcane spell failure percentage that means the heavier armor of the more likely you're gonna fail is safe if your divine caster which is druid cleric Ranger and paladin Arapiles whose arcane in such will started to see arcane spell failure higher it is more likely you're gonna fail so let's build our character shall we again just be any appearance male/female now let's go over the races right now first off humans there are the ones who are mostly common favoring which is the world never went to Knights they could not multi class without getting penalized if they do that they get penalized in spirits when they get a little bit less experienced they also have one extra fee at level one for extra skill points that loved one one bonus scale point after each so this is great if you need those extra feats and skills now real quick half orbs they have a +2 strength negative two in it and negative two charisma more on stats later that's what there are bandaged advantages or and dispatching stats their favorite class is barbarian so if they multi class of a barbarian they won't get penalized on experience of course which is a good thing on that they also have dark vision which they could see in the dark which is good they're more like a brutish class so let's talk about half outs next half elves are like half human half else if they've multi class they get experience penalty too and the thing is they can also resist sleep fully so they're immune to that they have hardness two enchantments and then they also have partial skills which is one point and listen spot and search and low-light vision so let's talk about else next up the elf they have a +2 dexterity knives to Constitution their favorite classes we're just like multi-class with that is fine they also have sleep immunity same thing as the hardness of the half-elves boats for fishing the longsword rapier short swords and long boats skill efendi +2 listen search and spot and keen senses means uh when it's active you search better low-light vision too and they also could live a very long time now half things are like your hobbits and such like from lord of rings they have a +2 dexterity - to string they favor the road cluster more of the rogue type of races think of a Bilbo back it's of course so keep that in mind there are also a small size which means they get bonuses in attack role plus 1 also +1 AC also also +4 and hide which is all good and such so keep in mind they are very small to alts plenty more on that one plus one on luck bonuses all safe throws fearlessly means +2 against fear type of spells and abilities they also have good aim with throwing weapons +1 now here's a downside of a halfling that cannot use a weapons through their size stature for instance they can't use the following bastard sourced iron maces two bladed sword double axe great axe great sword harab are frailes horse - lights and spears you gotta be careful on which kit you want to pick but you might be a bone on that so that's essential nutshell for a halfling let's talk about gnomes the other small class knows have a +2 Constitution - two strengths a favorite wizards more like illusionist so they make great illusionists and that's pretty good for them too so keep that in mind if you want to make aloo Janus that's a no the small stature is the same thing as halflings we'll quickly go over that racial bonus on my infecting saving throws is plus two offensive trained guest reptilians and goblin Lloyd's and such such as goblins bugbears and hobgoblins plus four Dodger ability against Giants so they dodged iron stacks more often skill affinity to +2 on listen and concentration up ahead they have spell focused so any little spells are an illusion school and stuff they got +2 bonus to it for wizards and sorcerers so again they make great illusion this overall they also have low-light vision allowed them see in the dark let's talk about illusionist their great is that 2.0 you can only multi class illusionist for this game go anywhere win it no also their sizes like halfling which is a disadvantage so let's talk about the other small size class led to earth now the dwarf has +2 Constitution negative to charisma they're great fighter classes if you watch my adored defender of build yes I build some based off of that they get experienced penalties if you multi class besides a fighter now plus to Rachel bonus surges underground sub training areas for a dork that is great for them but she have a door for our road dark vision they could see in the dark now they have hardness to poisonous spells which may risk this more of those which is great now next up they have offensive train with versus orcs and goblins so that's plus one one that they also have plus for defense train gets Giants when they want Dodge against Giants and have a great skill efendi lore now here's the thing about dwarfs real quick do the fact they are small like the other two they are much more stronger and a more Constitution which means they could carry your great axes and great swords and such without any prongs like a champion as woo-hoo-hoo-hoo that is racist in a nutshell so pick any of those you feel like you want to be in a race like won't be a dorvan fighter or a wizard to be fine portraits doesn't matter just pick any you'll do now I'm using the one from steam the many portrait packs you should download those now just pick any one you feel good to get your own so let's talk about classes next we're gonna go with the basic four fighter wizard cleric and rogue so let's talk about fire dirt or your frontline fighters they use all sorts of weapons and armor they're tough as nails they have many feasts they can access they have one D ten hit points which is one through ten hit points they roll go for they could use all weapons and armors your skill points times four at first level two plus an it modifier so more intelligent more skill points we'll get to those stats later on that so fires a bish your frontline guys let's talk about the next one is clerics real quick clerics casts healing spells buffing spells holy spells unholy spells patrol undead rebuke undead destroyed undead and such they also turn on dead which is great now they are a wisdom based class that means their spells are wisdom base 11 wisdom means to cast on one spells why 19 wisdom can cast level 9 spills so keep that in mind if you want to go far with a cleric and they're very fun to play is Tiye plated for a bit and I may have built base on it which it's very good next up they call so with clerics use all simple weapons and armor and shields accuse blunt weapons mainly unless you multi-class need used those of course I seen many builds with that were declared to get screamer chars skill points are baptized for at level 1 2 plus intelligence boots they are divine qasimi's their wisdom base spell fealty from armor is totally ignored this is one of the classes that does that so you go full plate where the cleric you'll be doing fine next some of the basic four is a rose there you're like you're thieves take a disarm traps bs their way they could steal set up traps unlock doors they could have a good time they're also stealth and then opportunities of attack - which is 1d6 and goes up every few levels of course now the hip points is 1 d6 one through six that proficiencies only rogue weapons like Rick for your short swords daggers truffles and Sarah and light armor that cannot be proficient in shields at all so don't think about being a roguish shield they're not gonna use it now their skill points is x 4 at level 1 8 + intelligence modifier for each load it effect have so many skills to use a course such as a hide disarm traps open locks and such so they're very good at that so if you need a rogue - a disabled traps and stuff go for it and that's the thing about rogues so next up we're going to talk about in the basic for its wizards now wizards they do is scribe their spells from spell books pick a certain amount of spells per level per day like level one and level one only picks for spells depending on their intelligence there are also intelligent casters again 11 tells to be Johnny Castle l1 spells that's it why 19 intelligence level 9 spell so keep that in mind also increase your arriving number of a sludge guessing certain levels and such now they're afro a week wizard so there are a 1 d for hit point so 1 through 4 hit points now wizard proficiencies wizard weapons such as staffs daggers slings and cetera they don't have much proficiencies unless you're an elf when you multi class a wizard so keep that in mind if you're thinking gonna be a tank mage which ain't not gonna be in this game trust me now next up is skill points ticket times 4 at level 1 depending on intelligence 2 plus they're intelligent modifier since they have high intelligence most likely you can get a whole bunch of skill points you probably don't know what to do with them now spell casting is arcane it's intelligent base spell preparation is require spell failure from ARMA it's a factor so if you multi class uh we just slash fighter you will fail that big time now they get cutting ups which is level zero spills and they get four level one spells free to choose from it just depends how much spells to get it on there and intelligence of course so let's talk about the related classes next or hybrids the next up other arcane class our sorcerers say don't memorize spells from spell books instead a pulse up your spell's from each class and such how are they are limited in spell retainment so in other words instead of like having all sorts of spells in the wizard 4000 pick certain ones so you need to be careful on that however they could cast more spells per day which is great now sorcerers are christmas base again 11 chris means level 1 spells 19 chris means level 9 spells so keep that in mind we billing a sorcerer now for the hit dice is 1 d for 1 through 4 hit points just like wizards therefore fishing is also simple weapons to the fact that don't need to memorize spell books instead they learn more martial weapons slightly they're the same as wizard such as no armor and shields only cloth and robes their skill points it's times 4 at level 1 2 plus intelligence modifier for each additional level now they're arcane castings charisma base that means no spell preparation spell value from armor will happen if you are multi class of course and just be careful when you're playing a sorcerer and be wise about your spell selection and such one last tip about Sorcerer's if you're afraid just use Scrolls and then when you level up pick where her favorite spells you want so this is like one time deal with them be careful in that next up is the bard Bart's could sing songs above the primers curse' enemies with their songs have a high lure and such they're like have some rogue abilities they also use magic ions much more better than robes and such so they're very good overall Ruby's class the alternative and the one thing about barge real quick they are christmas base again eleven christmalo.win spells nineteen charisma level nine spells so keep that in mind with the bards alright so let's talk about bards alignments they can only be a non lawful that means you only can you can be a neutral good neutral evil true neutral chaotic neutral kind of good chaotic evil if they come lawful any time they lose access to barter levels so keep that in mind with bards they have 1 d6 hit point dies one through six hit points you get per level just like the rogue of course not for their proficiencies with simple weapons they also with light armor medium armor and shields now barns have times for skill points at level 1 4 plus the knit modifier rogues have a better match than barns on their steel points so if you can't mind with a bar and if you got a low love with them now there's both castings art King which is charisma base they can also get spell failure for armor so be careful with bards on that barns begin with all on normal kidnaps which is good last thing about bards is their alignment need be careful on that so let's talk about the another alignment stricter classes druids georgia like clerks but they're more in tune with mother nature cache buff spells based on that summit animals ship shaped into animals or a forest like creatures too like a shamblers and such thing also casts some nasty offensive spells trust me on that folks now druids they have wisdom base to in order to cast their spells 11 wisdom means is level 1 spells why 19 wisdom level 9 spells to have their own jewish spells pool so that means you'll see more of that in clerics course so i have someone if I felt from cleric tree and such but well they have their own flavor let's stop our alignment you gotta be neutral that's neutral good lawful neutral true neutral caring neutral neutral evil and don't you dragon to point it was true neutral and that's it now three point all rules which is these rules they soften the effect on that now they're hit points 1d8 same as clerics their proficiencies withdrew it weapons which is a mainly blunt more of the wood type like clubs course absent cetera they only could wear light medium armor and shields so that's good with a druid their skill points are a times four at level 1 4 plus intelligence modifier after each additional level now they are defined casters druids their wisdom base armor relay chance that spell fairly is ignored just like it drew its upcoming rangers and paladin's to now drew whose longer a neutral of any kind cannot gain drew it level so be careful on that pick the right neutral type of liner that fits your character style so that's my advice to on druids the next class we are going to look at are the monks I believe let me make sure I'm looking for it and see it yep there's the monk I'm gonna talk about that next now monks are your martial arts fighters and stuff their abilities and armor class and such are uh wisdom based now if you make them wear any armor they lose any wisdom base and low base of bonuses and such they're best with unarmed fighting which they're very deadly they get some nice and nifty abilities too now monks are only lawful that means some there are Lima strict a class such is lawful neutral and lawful evil uh lawful good that's the thing with monks on that too so keep that in mind and if you did play up the baller state enhanced edition yet you had the rush easy a LOF a good monk his brother which was law lawful evil monk so you saw differences in that never wear tonight's preserved that of course and that's was very neat about this game is that now they're hip point dices on 1d8 which is one through eight hit points and also there are proficiencies month weapons I'm gonna get a great detail about that right now now the muck weapon for Fisher see if I remember right is uh cameras of course staffs bare hands unarmed fighting course slings etc now their skill points this times for low 1/4 plus intelligence Mon fire after each additional levels monks are more like a little bit of advance for anybody else once play one before when I'm play a monk just go for it like say be wherever you want to be also monks with fees to get some nice feats at low one and such now hip points same as a like I said before Clarke's and true if I didn't say that I'm displaying that to y'all right now I don't think that monks is if you like unarmed are fighting and such you like Bruce Lee yeah go for monk it's fine come on the next class are barbarians that's right they're like a fighters but wearing less armor have a ton more hit points and fighters they have rage which gets a boost in strength hit points anything else they get penalized afterwards for a minute or so still it's very good overall now this is an alignment restricted class that means you cannot be lawful if your lawfully cannot advance as a barbarian you don't wrestle so picking lawful for instance kind of good or okay I keep more true neutral just pick whatever you want alignment now didn't hit dices one d12 the best and the most hit points in the game on that set up now barbarians are proficient in all simple martial weapons they come on wear light armor medium armor and shields and have a wisdom modifier on that for the armor and such but there are weapons that use all types great with a great axe now if skill points is in it modifier times four at level 1 4 plus and NIT modifier after each additional levels word of caution about barbarians if you become lawful you lose chance of love war barbarian levels so keep in mind folks on that all right the next class we are going to talk about is the range of class their cross between the fighter / drew it take use bow and arrows take a dual wield they have their own spell trade accuse a bus and also summon animals inside so you also have favorite enemies which I give bonus damage against certain enemies now Rangers are wisdom base so that means a 11 wisdom is a level 1 spells why 19 wisdom is level 9 spills they but they only go up to 4 little spells so 14 is a good cap on that now they're hit dice is one d-10 that gives all sit bone marshal Penzias lightning medium armor and shields know about armor if you have anything above light you're wearing what happens is you cannot use dual wield which is anti dexterity and two weapon fighting you get free also Rangers are very good at a spell casting - which is divine wisdom base that means they cannot get interrupted off they're wearing a heavier armor and their skill points is up times four at level 1 or plus intelligence modifier again they also get favorite em knees - so every few levels to get that they also get dueling feats and stuff like you need to do it like I said before you need a certain honor like light and such if we're all go for bows and stuff that's great for a ranger - they're one of perfect candidates for the arcane Archer force each class if you're ready for that it's most pretty good class overall feel of a ranger alright let's talk about our last class that is heavily alignment restricted the most alignment restricted net game of the starting classes is the paladin they're all around good guys thank you start divine powers to protect people but themselves lay on hands to heal themselves and others immune to diseases Aurora courage and they are very restricting alignment they're also wisdom base for casting and Christmas base for their skills for instance like smite evil let's go to the casting for instance if you have eleven wisdom they only castle what spells why fourteen wisdom to the low for spells they can only go up to low for spells in your own pounding casting a tree one more thing pound this can also turn Undead that's good now their alignment is lawful good only you gotta be lawful good or else if Sarah fallen paladin or you can't level anymore common Lil's their hit dices one d-10 just like your fighter and Rangers that's good there are skill points is a times four at level 1 2 plus intelligence modifier after each additional level their spell casting is to find wisdom base armor chance of failure is totally ignored that means one thing and one thing only you could gas in full plate which is good now pilots also could use almost any weapons the armor I said before so I had a great sort of paladin when I first played this game thanks to bother skate to inspiration and I had fun with that but I realized the true Holy Avenger was a long sword more on that when you play hordes of the under dart for you up paladin fans now a serious word of caution since the palette is the most alignment restricted at game that if they are no longer lawful look good what happens is is a they lose that ability to become paladins now my tips on prestige classes to be honest with you all is uh don't do unless you feel alright to do them or you've got yourself at least even beating the game once at least original campaigner shells of under time then you go for that now the alignment is based on your classes and such - or your own personal preference so if you're gonna become a peloton get raged to be stuck the wit lawful good if you're ready become a druid get ready stuck with any neutral alignment if you want to be up art variant get ready stuck to be any non lawful alignment take whatever you feel that is right you want to be evil that's fine you want to be good that's fine we won't be lawful that's fine you want to be chaos that's fine you want to be in the middle of anything like that well that is fine too so that's my advice to everybody on alignment it's picked the one you want and makes you feel comfortable this also goes ahead with a class planning too so that's my thoughts about why I'm it - so one thing about this game especially some of the original campaign or under time she have a careful on Lyman's so next up is a building score go over that right now now the first one is prank this it's more for a melee damage and stuff physicalness you have and less likely get interrupted while casting spells to it's also for you for Tuesday's so more constitution higher for Tuesday it's just like dexterity and reflex age more dexterity more reflex States Constitution is the same and also high Constitution we G at Bona hit points per level two which is very good and also less likely be interrupted in spells too now wisdom is for like druids and clerics to a stand up Aldens and our Rangers also amongst uh buildings and armors wisdom based to which is real good to on that alright the next thing I'm going to get ahead a little bit's intelligence which means higher intelligence more likely Casa wizard spells and I also get more skill points and also your will saves that is right that means more intelligence more likely you have a barrel will save throw such as mine affecting spells and such again yet if you have a spell resistance that's how great that is with intelligence too and it's also important for characters we need a lot more skills such as ropes yeah you put a few points in intelligence to to get more skills and to some fires I did a build on with 13 intelligence enough for some of the feature required for that now Christmas for your Christmas based cast us as sorcerers and bards more of that more likely cast spell levels tomb and such like that such as 19 Christmas 19 it's a level of nine spells I mean I'll so great about Christmas effects your talking skills and tonton more likely to talk more likely to persuade more likely to bluff and more likely to intimidate great for force waiting to if you're on that and of course talk to you way through things well get high Christmas for it's not so great for pounds to since they use smite evil for that and the other opposite blackguards uses for smite good on that too so next up is the configure packages which your abilities skills in this game are ranges from animal empathy to disarm traps to use magical items so I'm gonna do is I'm going to switch to a ranger to a course get the animal empathy I'll switch over any others I feel like it and such so let's talk about animal empathy first now MFD does is allows the characters Cecily charm or dominate an animal or certain creature great for Rangers and Drew's overall now next one up after that is a praise that means it's a year or make you favorable and shops and unfavorable shops unfavorable means you get ripped off favorable on earth in other words you get discounts which is real good too now after that is a bluff and get the BS three way through conversations con people talk fast misdirection by language it's great for conversation especially in hordes of the Underdark mainly to now consecration is like less likely you get erupted when you cast spells very great for dispelled cast especially clerics druids sorcerers and wizards my buff and uh brakebills based on that now I'm crafting that's more of a hordes of undock skills you get build weapons built armor or build traps great if your rope you building your own traps of course all right let's see what's next after that is disabled traps once you spot a trap you have a chance this able them rogues have to hire disabled ability to the best for that now if you have spectacular failure you'll actually trick her trap so that's like rolling a one that's your spectacular fade failure which is pretty bad now disappoint on their skill is it resists his feats and such so you can resist knock down with high discipline and such my door defender has high discipline so that means you resist most important e of those feats thrown against them now heal if you have healed kits you'll heal poison or disease if you have high check so if you have a hill kit even when use that skill that's not bad for that too so 40 skills most were not bad at all we're talking the next one is hide now hide real quick I'm gonna go over is uh once you hide yo chance to self a opportunity attack if you're a rogue or any other classes that has that where you want to hide after you get a stealth mode now intimidate is another one of those talking skills you could bully someone or force someone do something for you that's more useful in horns of the Underdark now listen you can listen for a movement also a great way you couple that for spot to spot stealth errs so they appear to so that's good for that now next up is Lords used to identify items higher lore skill more likely to identify bards are the best lower skill users in the game so keep that in mind one identifiers or pay goal to get them identified it's your choice now move silently issues after you stealth so you could stealthily move for the kill or opportunity of attack to get those a bone stealth damage of course if you're a rogue great for them to on that and some other classes who are Stanton's very good now open lock unlocks uh Jess's and doors and such levers locked so you don't have to go bash and lose stuff party blocks and coming at tags and you roll high role on hurry you get a bonus to do a nice spectacular counter-attack looks like you got a crit unless they're creating foes we're gonna skip up the form and I use magic items from now and didn't talk about the next one now next one is a persuade and that does is uh you'd be more diplomatic or persuade people who uh to for things to go your way Palin's are great for that actually balanced Witcher and if you playing in the original campaign or shouts up under time or special original campaign that's very useful now pick talk is actually ability to steal items from NPCs and such and that's pretty good if you need money and such up to you want to get that it's alright right useless for the main campaigns it's great for the wines wiping crown of a chrome mirror so skip that please unless you doing with that campaign and yet don't skip it now surge if you look for traps this is the skill you need search just use the fine chest once you find traps and you go over to a disarm some keep that in mind now set traps is used to set up traps if you're broke well you could stealth certain ways up traps and then lure your foes to your traps so they die pretty good way for strategy of course on that now spellcraft used my spells and performed counter spells this is advisable for all divine and arcane main casters not the hybrids which is good now spot is used to spot a hidden person or creature so if you're looking for that stuff there to pop out you have high spot that Delta will pop out you could have fun with them now time for folks at em need to drop this card for a short amount of time so I'll attack you and such give you a bandage it's not bad at all - so next up is a tumble so every time you move you have a chance to dodge and if you specially make a roll you'll dodge otherwise you get a cough tune you get Genji which is bad real bad I'm gonna quickly skip ahead to the last two skills there we go alright since I rolled a bard I'm gonna now let's find the other to perform is used to post your bard songs whether it be cursed song or a buffing bard song it's very for Bart's overall in that it's a prestige also for a red dragon discipline class so keep that in mind last one just use magical device I mean if any character has high magical use of eyes take use and I am that ami requires a class race alignment restriction so that's great for anybody anyone use anything on the spot now it's within their efficiencies of course overall most of these skills are pretty good your crafting on it's great for hordes and you know dark and writing ones that one special DLC now feats next comes in all general size and such you have every weapon fulfil sees your general feed to your class feeds your racial feats racial and class speech you start with general features you pick out your active feats like knockdown you have to pick their three requisites to that too there's also arcane feats divine casting feats and such there's also some feats like for instance uh weapons specialization you like get as a fighter so that keep that in mind also spell penetration your arcane casters too and sometimes your divine casters some feature you only could take at level one too so be cautious on that we decide feats and such if you need help just look over the internet on your my builds or other people fills other people's sites on feats and such which is the best or used to recommend now also here you do your spells - you need help on spells just use the question aren't more especially there can nips and such so that's about about all the setup on skills feats and classes and such my advice is simply do not panic Maggie's changes are permanent and such so don't panic at all just enjoy the game and have a good time you picked the right
