well welcome back we're back for another one this is going to be our first crack at a rig run through or a walk through whatever you want to call it i'm waiting for davo and his hilux which is pretty specked out but mainly set up for touring so is that in there there he goes let's hit it [Music] ready to get into it we're all set up and at camp oh wait hang on i need a beer i'll get one somewhere cheers hey we start with bar work the outside simple stuff so tjm outback bar front and rear sliders ah legend next oh yeah yep good old barney save the bit of panel work over the times and the sills especially with my erratic driving as you may see in films that way yeah [Applause] oh yeah well anyway it's all good fun those wheels they look flash yeah so grids um i think these ones they have one of the highest load rating per wheel you can buy yeah a mag wheels so that's basically why i went with it black hawk upper control arms suspension bp51s all mean emus remote res yeah yeah fully adjustable compression rebound plates underneath ah brown davis those things take a whack like i said with my driving you need them 30 ones you know you you need that under body protection yeah that's true they run all the way back and there's a transfer case and a selector on the clarifier class um protector winch in there carbon nine and a half thousand maybe a little bit under done for this truck now um but i think i really gotta focus on double pulls on my biggest stuff because this is three three point two really three point three constant in weight this range of wish range or uh night hawks fully adjustable so if you've got troubles with your eyes and you come into signage you can turn those right down so all right i don't get that really mad reflection so they're yeah they're up to a k in distance yeah okay um really great light i've rate these highly i haven't uh yeah gone spotties and a lot of people say that yeah the reflections are pain in the ass but yeah tyres are fresh tyres are fresh they're razors and i think uh man did they cut some dirt out for me at the top yeah there was a it was a bit of a bugger yeah dug big holes quickly yeah highway tyre pressures just don't get it when you're digging we're like two seconds off the off the tar and then digging holes 10k but they look good they'll do the draw maxis raises front runner top bar i've had a few bars and roof racks and they just they're just easy and they're simple and they're light you don't run much up there what do you put up there i'm gonna rerun him with diesel heater over wicker yeah okay uh maybe some max tracks uh desert run maybe a little extra water you know yeah um but that that's really about it pretty keep it light yeah it's just after all the roof rack dramas of like a little awning that's what shouts into something they're just really good if you've got a mrs floating around with you um they they they do like they tend to float around yeah yeah that's right and then the rooftop alia cab this is the gen 3 they've just come out with a gen 3.1 so this is the just superseded tent looks pretty good a rooftop tent i think ali and cabba really nutted it down to a fine art with their products and it's just a comfortable piece of kit they got power in there yeah man i've got myself a little fan in there for those hot days i just plug that in lots of space far right and you just use some some ramps or dig holes to level it out a bit it's pretty uneven here but you did a good job of getting it right so i guess i can't wait but uh out here comes cam's just coming out with an extendable ladder all right yeah yeah and uh once they come out in the market i'll be jumping all over those it just saves a little bit of extra space yeah what do you do with that so that just goes in the bag sits up inside the chat ah that's all right then so if you're hunting or fishing or you've got some good stuff like that you want to keep up in there you can put it up in there and lock it yeah yeah [Music] ah that awning it's a beauty it's a howling moon swing on 270. the canvas in this is just super heavy-duty and they have everything's is made to be replaced if you break it so these are all sacrificial hinges uh sacrificial i should say uh if you get a blow over or anything else like that they can be replaced one thing you'll find with a lot of awnings they leak up through here all right because everything is tied down at that point so everything's flapping stretching here yeah so with this you have so much more movement yeah yeah you have that tension on there no tension yeah okay so this is free standing up to about 20 kilometers hour of winds um so like a day today's you you don't you don't set up but overnight and that sort of stuff i get in the habit of putting the feet down yeah putting the guide rides out guy ropes out and just locking it down but uh four walls eleven square meters of coverage you saw did you have the walls you don't use them every now and then yep yeah i certainly do if you want a bit of privacy or you want to lock it in on a crappy day it makes a massive difference and that's when you realize how much room you know you get installed in here zips on to here all your walls um all your guy ropes are all self-contained in the pockets oh that's what that is yeah yeah man so undo that drop them down pack them in yeah simple easy but everything's out of the way of course your legs fold up into your extrusion yeah yeah the bag that you put in is massive so you're never struggling to make room yeah that's the key if it's tight to fit back in anything swags whatever yeah so this time this olive they come in a silver and also with a reflective uh dual tone sort of coverage as well but i think they're around the 1200 mark for this one yeah the 270 and then you get a six panel as well without a monster everything so this is a 2.5 meter wide six panel however that one yeah man they they have basically goes through another yeah i found there and they're massive but uh i think this is around 20 odd kilos 22 kilos the big the big thing for me is this um rsi canopy it's i haven't seen them that often rsi is rock solid industries they're a south african company so this um the rsi evo so they've come up with a stainless steel canopy this is automatic stainless steel uh i've had this on for let's see now oh nearly a year and a half and on in more than a year i've had a rooftop tent on it the load capacity you get out of it's 350 kilos dynamic load this is was the brand new first canopy for the evo in australia yeah uh so it took a bit of a gamble on it i suppose like many people haven't heard of them and threw it on so i work with thomas and andre up there in rsi and burley heads so if you're keen to have a look at it you're in canberra or queanbeyan or those areas i'm around and come over and have a touch and feel because these things are unique all components there's five five components in this can be all be replaced if you damage it color coded i think for this particular one is around forty six hundred dollars color-coded and there's three other variants to this as well which have you can get them with full stainless doors so no glass in them so you can get your of course your kitchen which is super cool yeah that's next level when you showed us that as an add-on you did later right yeah so this is a pod that they put out so basically it takes away the necessity to have everything in your in boxes in the back of your truck or you know like i used to keep it in the drawer system i can keep it segregated so you've got these nice little wine glasses they're fully skilled in there if you can see um they're just a glass glass in the back of your orbeez all those basic utensils and that sort of stuff that you need when you go out and all that stuff yeah this thing yeah um very much you've got your cutting board oh geez look at that so i'll be running a uh a production cooktop on the top of this and um so just sit it up there so i use a little chalk wedge in here just oh yeah yeah of course your cutting board slides in slides out and this just rolls up back in on itself doors closed down in examples locked across kitchen yeah i run out of beer you're gonna go pause pause for a beer what do you got in there buddy what do you got him [Music] yeah how is the serenity we're back we're back are we ah the quick battery change we got the beer did the slo-mo yeah and yeah canopy so there's more going on in here right there yeah yeah oh but one of the key things about the fitment from rsi goes onto the the oem fitment points so there's an industrial rubber seal that runs around underneath this particular part here so each four corners here gets pulled down so at the front there you've got a slide window access the back window to clone it uh if you've got dogs or anything else like that you can crack those side windows open up here we've really tricky little uh setup from rsi this is one of their drop-down table systems and um wow is that another stainless steel and another important feature with these is a positive air pressure vent you know unless you sort of conceal everything and plug every pressure point hole in these every eye you're still going to get dust in here but it's minimal on that yep so of course we're running the mso draw system full length bloody long bush company clear top bag blocking the light and blocking a lot yeah yeah so these are also illuminated as well oh nice yeah yeah and they're full length aluminium one of the things that knocked me around with the other brand was that i couldn't keep a six-pack standing up in there you knocked the top off so you can keep a full six-pack very that's a must do for every bloody ute that has a tailgate sure i don't know why the manufacturers don't do it yeah build it in to flatten it out yeah just you just stuck it in stuck it glued it commercial-based stainless steel yeah um and just basically uh silas sticked it down and yeah one thing is when the sun's been bleeding on it don't put your ass on at me seriously it's it's like a cook top then 12 volt there's the big ass charger there so that's an anadrive r40 plus dc dc charger so i'm running a 250 watt um monocrystalline solar panel on the roof yeah i saw that panel up there yeah with an option where i can plug in and run another two up two external solar panels if i'm staying somewhere for a period of time where do you plug them in not many people probably do and built some batteries so what i ended up doing is i noticed a lot of people uk and around the world starting to make these lithium batteries up at a 3.4 2 volt cells the cost of it was 470 i think that's with a a daily bms so that's a battery management system and then our amp hours was 100 so you did you did two yeah i ended up doing two because the first one was so good start well two 100 amp hours yeah it looked pretty elaborate to me like i wouldn't have a crack at it it's the whole heap of cells all linked together and same obviously this system bms is connected to the device that's one of the cells so it's currently running at 13.3 volts i've got no negative drawing it's 96 full so i'm going to be running a some sort of uh what do they call it finger yeah that thing over puts the power into 240 and runs it oh the inverter yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah so i'll run one of those off there now i've got the capacity to do so [Music] and what about lights in this and around you've got to first notice there's a work light he's done a plugger oh yeah right now i don't know that just giving him a bit of floodlight turning up at night i totally need some i want to put something in just on a switch and yeah i just run it off a remote um oh that's right you got some remote control yeah that does all my internal song i've got a bit of internal lighting that i can run next there's lights up the back there um lights up there is there yeah i saw that's not connected i'll run this one outside when i need it and then yeah you do have a compressor you've got water somewhere i saw yes i run a jack point out for the compressor where's the compressor live so that's sitting in in the main battery with a with a four eight liter air tank up underneath the guard as well oh yeah and then oh yeah the latest addition to the family which is uh airbags so yeah i went with the guy down in sydney that uh sorry melbourne who's does these not for the life of me i can't remember his name uh but he gives a five year warranty but i think that's about it and then used it in the high country trip uh the best thing ever the best thing i've ever bought and my mates used to sit there and go my esky's great and it's fine now they're cruising around with fridge with coal pissing it all the time and and food as well yeah at times but you know it's fully accessible and then then they've got a fridge like oh it's the best thing ever yeah 60 liter angle uh in behind the seat here i'm running a 18 water bladder oh you got a bladder yeah cool so we just run straight out and yeah my chin at the moment but um so that fits behind the seat is that purpose built for the hilux or yeah i think the k new 26 it they run pretty much the whole way through yeah one side volume wise i'll get up to about 55 liters out of the 80 liter bag yeah okay you can't feel it no no 150 liter brown davis fuel tank yeah there you go yeah the big tank legend x three inch three um exhaust oh anything under the bonnet yeah just the um the standard things like everyone you know diesel should run that being a catch can and a um water separate you don't run a catch plumbing with a cash can oh man how long are you going to keep your truck up i have to ask jess yeah yeah because you're going to be up for a uh oh we'll be up for a clean yeah yeah yeah yeah i think i've already priced that up so i'll wait for that day when she loses that little bit more power okay so the basics the catch can the what was the other thing you're gonna say separator yeah of course your fuel secondary filter oh yes yeah yeah yeah oh yeah okay guys the fish just came out yeah i reckon we're getting into prime time yeah so all right can we cut it out there we go because we've got seriously drinking to do those hilux we didn't say what model it was oh it's in 80 2017 2017 all the ultra sensors and you know that can go look at all the all right there you go very good thanks louie thanks dave love your work good job mate um good quality yeah yeah um
