If only beautubers did the makeup look correctly vs. having the model pull her eyes (she's pulling her temples here but we know why her hands are there in the first place, and let's not pretend it doesn't have a similar effect) and then editing the image into a different person

If the model has to tug at her face AND if you have to edit the model into a different person, did you actually do the makeup look?

why don't these stupid people get that if they need to pull on their skin to show off the cateye effect then it just means that they're not doing their makeup right. Are they going to walk around with their hands on their temples all day?

  1. If she isn’t pulling her skin to create the illusion of the β€œfoxy eye” then why are her hands placed there?

  2. If you have to pull your eyes to create the look you failed to do the look.

  3. She must be aware at this point that this is highly offensive so she is doing it on purpose and should be called out.

  4. nobody is calling her out because nobody has ever heard of her (well at least I didn’t)

How many times do people need to be told 'don't do this, it's a pose that mocks Asian people for features that many of us are born with' until they stop.

God I hate this pose so much. I wrote a whole rant and then deleted it because I don't have the energy to deal with it, but even without the racist connotations, the pose just looks moronic.

Take some ibuprofen and drink some water; stop advertising a headache to me.

I feel stupid asking, but how exactly is it problematic?

Here we go again

I’m impressed by how her whole jawline changes shape in the after pic too.

This is not his first time being problematic. He did a look where he made a white woman look black. He got some backlash. I think he then deleted everything and restarted his channel later after.

hello welcome on back to my channel i hope you guys are all doing well i'm excited for today's video because i am teaching you my signature reversed cat eye look now i didn't create this by any means this is this has been there and done that by so many other talented makeup artists way before my time but i first did it a few years ago my friend angel and ever since you guys have been requesting that i share with you all how i do this and it's really really easy so if you guys want to learn how i created this look right here then keep on watching so to begin i'm using the wishful thirst trap juice to prep the skin i've been using this for the last few glams and it's a nice serum to have with this triple hyaluronic acid and peptides it makes for a good first step in the makeup routine and don't forget to bring this down to the chest and shoulders we want everything hydrated and glowing next for moisturizer we're throwing it on back to the dewey skin cream from tatcha i haven't used this in a minute and so i figured let's go for it today i'm applying this on with my sponge to the complete area of the face as the same way i would apply foundation really pressing this into the skin so it completely absorbs before we proceed with the makeup once we have that cream evenly applied i'm going to move on to the foundation which for today is the shiseido synchro skin radiant lifting foundation i'm using the shade maple on her model jess which is the perfect match for her and i'm applying this on with the same sponge i had applied the skincare on with i'm slowly falling in love with this foundation i first used it in the last video i posted and i really liked how it looked both on camera and in person especially if you're someone who likes medium to full coverage glowing look foundations you may really like this one i use this on myself a couple of times now and i really like how it looks throughout the day but i will say i like it better when it's set with a little bit of powder not much powder just a little otherwise it's a little too radiant for my taste as for this sponge you've heard me rant to rave about this in my last video it's my new go-to sponge it applies on foundation so quickly compared to the sponges i've used in the past and it's affordable it's three dollars and fifty cents you all you can't beat that i'll link it down below if you want to check it out because honestly for that price it's worth checking out okay i'm going to move on to highlighting and concealing with the too faced born this way concealer and the shade pearl and i'm applying this onto all the areas of the face i want to add light to once i'm done applying this on with a brush i'm going to leave it on for a few minutes while i apply on the contour before i blend this all out but in the meantime as you see i'm adding this to the under eye area the cupid's bow the corners of the mouth the center of the forehead and down the center of the nose and a little bit more to the outer eyes and a little around the nostrils okay now i'm just showing off here all right for the contour i'm actually using the shiseido foundation again but in a deeper shade called henna with this i apply it on with a small blush brush to the areas of the face i want to add depth shadow and bronziness to this includes the perimeter of the forehead under the cheekbones the jawline and down the sides of the nose it looks a little crazy now but this is a full glam kind of look today so trust the process and i assure you it'll all come together once i have this applied in the areas i want i'll head back to the same sponge i've been using and begin blending everything out including both the contour and the highlight which means we're at that part of the video where i sign off for a minute while you enjoy the blending process [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] all right so if you're still with me here we're just about done with this blend the skin is looking really beautiful and the products are almost blended together perfectly now to set them into place i'm using the laura mercier translucent powder and beginning the placement of this powder with the under eye areas i start with the under eyes because that's usually the first to crease so i set it ever so slightly with my powder puff before i move on to setting the rest of the face with the same laura mercier powder and i'll then come back to the under eyes for the baking process as promised i'm coming back to the under eye area to bake with the laura mercier powder i've just dipped a brush into this powder and started placing it onto the area i'm looking for a tad bit more brightness from and i'm being sure to bring that up onto the sides of the nose to really snatch that nose contour we created next i'm going to use this blush from patrick talk called she's that girl and i'm dusting this onto the apples of the cheeks you all already know my love for a blush so i have no shame in packing it on now because by the end of this tutorial the blush will have settled into the skin and will have become very natural looking once i have this applied i'm going to move on to the brows i'm using the brand new huda beauty bomb brows micro shading brow pencil and this is in the shade medium brown this is one of the products i was really looking forward to trying out because i've become a brow fanatic i think we all have right and when i heard this was one of the thinnest pencils on the market i was like sign me up i love a really thin brow pencil that mimics the look of brow hairs and this does a really good job of doing that i'm still going to use my anastasia beverly hills brow wiz and my nyx brow pencils but it's nice to switch it up every so often and once i have that applied i'm going to use this benefit clear brow gel to set and lock it into place we get a chance here to see the brow with the pencil versus without i think it turned out really nice without looking overdone by the way i forgot to introduce you to our special guest today jess brought her puppy look how stinking cute she is so so cute all right moving on i'm using this taupe eyeshadow from bobby brown to add a little depth to the upper eyelid there's really no strategy here with the placement i'm just throwing the pigment on and then blending it up and out to create a little drama the trick with this eye look today is not to go too overboard with the shadows on the upper lid as we want most of the drama and the attention to go to the lower lash line with a black eyeliner this is why this bobbi brown shadow is one of my most used eye shadows and i always recommend it especially for those who have fair to medium skin tones it's a great transition color and it's the perfect shade to create a little depth with i'll also use this to blend out on the lower lash line don't ask me what brush this is that i'm using i have no idea i think the actual brush broke off but i guess i kept this anyways because because i'm too cheap to throw anything away so there's that moving on i'm using the one size gel eyeliner pencil in the shade bodacious black and running this completely through the waterline and between the lower lashes before i smoke it out now you see me use this pencil often because i really do like it it's black black it goes on really smooth and once dried down it doesn't move but with that said i'm going to tell you all how to use it because using a product and using a product correctly are two completely different things and with the formula of this pencil being that it doesn't budge once it does dry down means that you can't just apply it take a break pour a glass of wine take your cat out for a walk and then blend it out no no no no girl it won't work that way you got to go right into smoking it out right after you apply it while it's still creamy and movable and once i have this smudged out i'll take a smaller detail brush to really accentuate the outer corner dragging out that liner to get that feline cat eye effect and if need be you can always go back in with the pencil to give it a little bit more depth in the areas you need to and you can go as dramatic as you want with this you can even use the same technique but with a different color maybe cobalt blue or a hot pink have fun with it here i'm just using that bobbi brown eyeshadow once more to diffuse the edges a bit before i use the black eyeliner to tightline the upper lid so as you see this eye look doesn't take a whole lot of products or even skill the key points to take away here is to focus on smoking out the liner and to not be afraid of dragging in that inner corner and dragging out the outer corner to get that sultry feline effect next with this mascara from too faced i'm going to coat the top lashes with it later on in the filming i used this on the bottom lashes too although i didn't get that part on camera so i'm saying it now because it is important to use bottom mascara for this look and then with the makeup forever starlit diamond powder in the shade 101 i'm going to use a small amount of this on the upper lid because i love glitter in fact the last time i used this in a tutorial is sold out on sephora but i just checked now and they have it back in stock as of now i mean come on look at how beautiful this looks holy cow all right moving right along i'm placing the ardell wispies on as the base lash i actually cut them in half so i'm only placing them on the outer half of the eye and then to further accentuate these i'm using these new individuals from raquel beauty called aurora lights and only using two or three of these on each side right on top of the wispies these are really beautiful and super easy to apply i know individuals can be a little intimidating to apply sometimes but listen if i can apply this with my hands you can definitely apply these with tweezers it's the little details like these that really make the biggest difference plus with a look like this you really don't want to add a heavy top lash because remember we want to keep the drama focused on the bottom next with this ofra highlighter in the shade rodeo drive i'm gonna apply this down the center of the nose the cupid's bow and cheekbones by the way do you guys remember a few videos back i was saying i was gonna try to get a discount code with ofra well long story short we have one now it's spencer 20. i'll put it down below in the description box next to the product but i have to ask y'all honestly do you guys even care about discount codes like is that a still a thing you can be 100 honest with me here it doesn't affect me either way but i'm just asking because if you if you don't please tell me now because you'll probably be saving me from looking like a fool to half of these brands i've been reaching out to they're probably thinking who does this guy think he is oh what a mess anyways as you see here i'm baking the jawline with our setting powder which we'll leave on for a few minutes while we work on the lips for lip liner i'm using the morphe liner in the shade sweet tea to line the borders of jess's lips i am over drawing just a tad bit today to get that sultry pout and i'm really only focusing this liner on the outer borders as i'm going to use a lipstick with a rose pink undertone to fill it in the lipstick i'm using today is this liquid lipstick from pat mcgrath labs in the shade divine nude and i'm placing this right in the center and then blending it into the liner right now i'm really loving a brown shade liner paired with a dusty rose lipstick i think they just complement each other really well especially for this kind of eye makeup i think this lip combo has a little more character than just the standard skin toned nude but i will forever love a glossy finish which is why i'm gonna add the anastasia beverly hills clear lip gloss right on top to get that high shine finish that i love and just like i had with a lipstick i'm focusing this placement mostly in the center of the lips i say it all the time but i believe everyone should own at least one clear lip gloss so that instead of having to go out and buy let's say a red matte finish lipstick and a red satin finish lipstick and a red gloss literally just buy the matte formula of any shades you like and you have the versatility of changing the finish of it depending on how much clear gloss you put on top i don't know i hope that makes sense okay lastly i'm using this krylon fixing spray to set the makeup and to lock it into place which officially makes this the very last step in creating my signature reverse cat eye makeup look on our naturally gorgeous models [Music] and there we have it kids i hope you guys enjoyed today's video if you did be sure to give this video a big thumbs up and subscribe to the channel you can also check out more of my work on my instagram painted by spencer and until next time i'll see you soon [Music] yeah if
