My Mom Loves My Uncle And Put My Dad In Jail

hey I'm Kelsey I used to have a happy family or at least that's what I thought it turns out that things aren't always as they appear and my family certainly has their secrets my father was a congressman although he was busy with politics he always prioritized our family and tried to give me and my mother the best life he always mentioned us first and thanks during each speech he gave my mom was also well-loved in the community she organized community activities public parties and charity events she has this bright aura which means that people easily warm to her she is beautiful and charming in her own way and my dad adores her I used to stand in the days when my parents danced in the kitchen it looked like love was in the air and everyone around them didn't exist anymore I lived a life filled with love and happiness from childhood until one day the facade faded to reveal the shocking truth concert practice at school was cancelled so I came home earlier than usual my house didn't feel right there was a weird vibe to it then I noticed a strange pair of men's shoes in the hallway alongside a hastily thrown vest I followed the trail of clothes into the living room I called my mother but she didn't answer I cautiously walked toward my mother's room and kept calling her as soon as I reached the door of her room she came out answering me and adjusting her outfit and hair in confusion she wasn't in the room alone coming out from behind her was a man it was my uncle Alan my father's younger brother before I could say anything my mother pushed me out to the living room and he followed red after us grabbed his vest then quickly said goodbye and walked out of the door my mom told me that he had come here to discuss my father's work my father was struggling with the latest election and was putting all of his mind and money into it mom kept explaining what they were talking about and how serious it was but I was no longer a child and I realized the embarrassment of being spotted on their faces I said calmly to her mom calm down I didn't even ask my mother stopped I just want you to know that adults have a lot of things to deal with and there are things that you are too young to understand darling I kept my calm I may be young but I know what I need to do to protect my beloved family she sat down next to me then promise me you haven't seen anything today so everything is clear my mom is having an affair with my dear uncle and I need to keep a secret if I don't want to wreck my family everything in the house was back to normal except for one thing my father had to work really hard because of the election someone had wrongfully accused him of embezzling public funds so dealing with the authorities courts and the local people was tiring him out he looked thinner and his hair was noticeably gray but he never forgot to return home with a bouquet of flowers every day my mom still greeted him with kisses and affectionate eyes I was getting more and more relieved maybe it was just a blip and my mom was back one day after school I came home to see a bunch of cars including two police cars parked outside I ran into the house in a panic my father was sitting in the middle of a messy pile of papers investigators were ransacking everything and the police were helping them pack up my dad's papers and take them to the car one man sitting in front of my dad kept asking questions but my dad just held his head with two hands and kept saying I don't know I've never seen them before my mom and uncle Allen sat nearby and pretended they were really nervous which made me feel so gross my mom said darling they suspect your father of being a financial criminal the people are just doing their jobs but don't worry uncle Allen will take care of us my poor father was struggling with accusations that I know he never did and I was helpless to witness everything my mother proposed a divorce my father agreed immediately because he loved my mom unconditionally and did want his problems to affect her my father was on probation in a separate place so uncle Allen moved into our house mom's cover story was that he was there to help us out I refuse to live with them but with everything going on I couldn't live with dad at the moment so I moved in to my auntie Alice's house my mom's sister my parents problems had already made me miserable but my cruel cousin Claire continued to make my life a nightmare she was constantly mocking me and saying horrible things about my dad one time she told me that my dad was a fake who'd end up in jail for life and my mom hated me so much that she'd thrown me out I was so mad I stuck her phone in a glass of orange juice I got into so much trouble and Aunt Elsa almost made me leave so now I grit my teeth and try my best to ignore Claire's vicious words I never doubted my father's innocence and believed that when this had all blown over I could go and live with him then one day my father's lawyer came to find me he told me that they had found evidence that proved my uncle Allen was the one who had created the false evidence to ruin my dad's good name and that my mother had helped him do it my father knows about the affair but he didn't have the energy to fight anymore he will accept everything to let my mother do what she wants he just wants me to know that he's innocent and no matter how my mother changes please stand by her and love her this was shocking how could my mother do that to him and how could he just stand by her and let her get away with it where had my strong-minded amazing father gone a part of me wants to cooperate with the lawyers to accuse uncle Allen and save my father on the other hand I don't want to go against my father's wishes and expose my mother's sins I know that what she did was wrong but I believe that uncle Allen manipulated her she has a good loving heart really I'm so confused what should I do now
