if you create a channel on youtube eventually you're going to have to do a guitar collection video [Music] so today i'm going to do that video this video is sponsored by sweetwater and the reason is is because one of the things you're going to see in my collection the theme today is that i like all my guitars to be within a certain range of how much they weigh and i'm gonna explain why throughout the video but more importantly the people at sweetwater said hey this would be a fun collection video but also because sweetwater actually shows you how much each guitar weighs and shows you actual pictures of the guitars in their galleries and so therefore it's very hard to buy guitars online if you're like me and you like to know how much your guitar weighs before you purchase it many times i'm on reverb looking at guitars sending emails to dealers or to personal sellers about how much the guitar weighs and it's a lot more convenient when they post the information or actual pictures because nothing wrong with being a little picky about what you want to purchase it's your money so today i'm going to show you my collection i'm not going to be playing the guitar so i'm just going to be showing them however if you want to see the guitars they're in most my videos so you'll see them in action if you want to look there also i'm going to be showing you some guitars you've never seen uh in any of my videos at the end of this video the first guitar i'm going to show you is missing a string i broke a high screen the other day on this this is a fender american professional series stratocaster with a solid rosewood neck uh this uh is a daphne blue model it is all stock the only thing that's not stock on it is i put locking tuning keys the next guitar is a 2013 paul reed smith custom 22 what makes this guitar unique is that it's a hardtail they no longer do that in fact they no longer make the custom 22 at all in the core series but they eliminated the hardtail early on they had the ability at this time when this guitar was when this guitar was purchased when it was new uh you could get a hardtail or a tremolo and it also could come with a pattern thin or patterned regular regular neck this is the pattern thin so this is the smaller neck it's in a void burst originally came with dual 57 5708 in exposed bobbins but i've replaced them with 5708 in chrome now we have a 2016 gibson sg this is one of my favorite guitars you'll probably hear me say that a lot i guess i think that's something instinctively all guitar players say this has the 60 style neck has grover tuning keys so therefore it's a little top heavy not not much but a little bit and uh and uh i really like it but it's not my favorite sg of my sgs i'll show you my favorite a little later this is also stock except for i switched the uh the switch tip to cream this is a 2006 sg this has the 50s net carve so it's a little chunkier than the other one i actually like this neck carve and it has the klusen style keys this is all stock except for it has a lindy freylin in the bridge uh which i bought this used and it came with that pickup now we have a taylor t5 i think this is the deluxe it's got the upgraded uh uh inlays and the flame top the t5 is one of my favorite guitars to play especially late at night it's like an acoustic it's like an electric but more importantly it's a very quiet acoustic that's why i like it uh it's a great guitar and uh it's also super light and um and it's just fun um it's not a guitar that when i played them i fell in love with the first time it was something over time just grew on me while i like it and this and the golden a6 are definitely my favorite kind of thin body acoustic guitars that are also electrics by far slapping the bass this is a stu ham urge model this is the first urge not the second one the first ones are 32 inch scale so shorter scale and a smaller body a crap ton of pickups this thing is 100 stock and i absolutely love it this has my flat wound nylon string strings so when i'm recording that's how i get my mellow kind of p bass sound with this p bass pickup next up is a floyd rose guitar that's right the guy who makes bridges also makes guitars this was sent to me by tim pierce there's a video coming this guitar is very unique it has what's called like a ramp you can see that i don't want to get too involved because you want to i want you to watch the video like i said was sent to me by tim pierce if you haven't seen tim pearce's channel please check his channel out he's amazing check out his lesson course next we have my gnl asat asshat guitar uh it is in margarita lime finish it has an arm carp i had this one made when i visited g l and i did a video of their factory in the history of gnl you can look at those videos on the channel and one was there i said i fell in absolute love with their guitars and i said i need to order one so i ordered this one this one is pretty stock in fact there's nothing so special on this guitar that it's not considered a standard model so even though it has some specifically cool features it's not different than any other uh standard guitar you can get from gmail here is my limited edition gretch this is an anniversary model this is called the something 6118 junior i'll put the name right there this is a smaller body gretch it looks big but it's not it's actually just slightly bigger than a les paul and uh it's a fantastic guitar it's got tv jones filtertrons this guitar is stock except i added my strap locks it has goto locking keys on the back it's made in japan it's a fantastic guitar and i absolutely love it the co the back kind of looks like that margarita line probably in the camera but it's really a really deep gold but it's basically gold this is a halo guitar there i see my custom custom guitar company this guitar was an idea i had to have something like a telemate so it's a semi-hollow guitar with a tele carve in other words there's no arm carver belly car but of course it has the dual cut like a strap has the switch tip and the bridge and the electronics like it gibson's fall the scale length is 24 and three quarters like a gibson les paul it is a mahogany neck mahogany body and it has an ebony fretboard with a scalloping from the 12th fret up and it comes with off-brand locking keys next up we have a made in japan 7620 it has the dimargio pickups it is dirty if you watched my seven things you don't know about the ivan has seven string you know that this neck is more narrow than the newer ones and therefore the neck feels a little smaller this is my absolute favorite uh favorite i have in a seven string guitar and uh it's pretty straightforward it's a basswood body maple neck with a rosewood fretboard next we have my fender custom shop copper strap this is uh called arizona copper it is a uh quarter sawn maple neck with a rosewood fretboard it has spurzel locking keys on it and this one has what's called black stock pickups on it uh these are humbuckers and then it has a three-way switch coil split in the neck position volume and tone and then everything after that it's stock on the guitar and uh i absolutely love it this is one of my favorite guitars i think i bought this in 2007. now we come to the dan electro 59 the 59 is i have a video about these guitars they're made of basically fiberboard they are pretty much entirely hollow they sound great this one's made in korea super light plays awesome it definitely is one of the cheapest best guitars i think that out there uh i think i paid 250 for this guitar used you can pick these guitars up i think new now for under 500 fabulously put together and very unique in their sound so if you're looking for something really cool sounding something different than your other guitars uh this is the way to go sometimes when you're when you're jamming with people if there's a lot of guitar players on stage this is the guitar to grab the mids are so defined that you really can poke through on the mix next we have about the rs s2 simi hollow they've discontinued this guitar i owned about three of these over the time and this uh one is a trans black as you can see it's very dirty i didn't clean any guitars of the video by the way this one just seemed to play and sound the best even though this one's had the most issues i've had some paint chipping on the neck i've had all kinds of issues with this guitar quality wise but it just sounds amazing and it plays great so over the years i just kept this one so this is the one i keep and this is when i play as you can see usually if you see a lot of hand prints on the guitars it's because i'm playing a lot now this is the guitar that convinced me that the fender custom shop wasn't the most important thing in my life i love my fender custom shop strap but i love this one either as much or sometimes a little bit more it's an american professional uh strat stock in every way except for i added locking keys and i updated the pickguard to black i think originally this picard was white uh i know i keep saying stock except but i just want you to know i'm you know i'm not leaving anything out and it's also got shaw bucker pickups in it and i like the shaw buckers a lot but there's just something about this one like i said guitars are very funny that way sometimes there's just something about that guitar this is my keezle single cut bevel uh custom guitar in a purple and pink crackle finish with green pickups it is a neck through its mahogany neck with mahogany body it's all stock the only thing that's going to be changed in this guitar is i'll put eventually strap locks on it i absolutely love this guitar the thing that's cool about this guitar is that even though it's 80s looking it is specked out like a more traditional guitar 10 inch radius fretboard a hardtail bridge it's just more kind of chilled out less shreddy like but man do i love this guitar gold top les paul standard this one is a 60s neck with grover locking keys this guitar is a hundred percent stock just something about gold tops i always like like playing them like them there's something about them now we have my charbelle dk24 this is a stock made mexico dk24 except for every time i say stock i say accept it was custom painted by the guys at painthuffer and they even put my logos in it this is one of those guitars uh that i bought i absolutely love you probably can't tell in the camera but this is two tones of blue the outer side of the guitar is a darker blue than the inner side and then the same logos are in that darker blue here's my seriously custom custom 24 this one was made by my buddy nathan and a bunch of prs employees that helped him pretty amazing not only for that level but also as a custom 24 they were very rare do you see custom 24s with a hard tail and i don't necessarily prefer hardtails over tremolos or vice versa i just some guitars are hard tails and some are trim lows this three-way switch volume and tone this has a ps metal in the bridge and a 5708 in the neck has a satin finish neck on the back absolutely flawless it's one of my most cherished guitars this is my usa made purple pv wolf gang and uh this is a stock except for the switch tip is now tan i put on the volume knob his tan right here and i put a drop d switch right there on the headstock so i could do the drop d stuff and even though i'd rather have the floyd woes version the floyd version uh this was the price and now i mean you can't even touch these guitars for what i paid for it so you know i guess i i just looking to learn to live without having the tremolo on this but it's a fantastic guitar here is my gibson les paul classic that is very very thin this is called the les paul light not only because it's light but also because it's thin it's very thin this is 100 stock i've left it alone it's got grover tuning keys it's got the 60s style neck and you can imagine why i wanted this i wanted a les paul that was on the lighter side and definitely my go-to gibson this and the sg p90 is probably two gibsons i play the absolute most here is my rg 550 reissue this is the 2008 i bought 2008 reissue i uh have a one humbucker jb in the bridge position and one volume knob and i thought one day well you know i really like this rg550 why don't i just make that a one pickup guitar and the main reason is is i am a constant pickup switcher uh if you give me guitar i'm constantly switching all the time uh solo the neck bridge back to the rhythm you know constantly doing stuff and i like sometimes a guitar like this just because you just plug in it and you play a work of art is what this is this is a famous uh television this is a holo guitar it's kind of like my hey i wanted a jazz master i wanted something with p90s i wanted something hollow i never thought about it all in one guitar but then here it was this is a mahogany neck with a maple top maple back mahogany sides dual p90s these are seymour duncan's this guitar is 100 stock i didn't even change the switch tip ratio tuning keys ebony fretboard it is the most flawless guitar i've ever played uh in every way and it is just fantastic to play next up we have a sir t-style guitar this is a semi-hollow with humbuckers maple neck it's not roasted rosewood fretboard with stainless steel frets sir tuning keys obviously it's very light it's got a five-way switch since i've been on youtube there's been no brand mentioned to me more than sir as being the best i can't find anything that really outshines us over some of the other guitars i've shown you so far i'm gonna show you ahead the one thing it definitely has is it's got a price tag that's pretty happy we have a parker fly this is a absolute dream guitar for me has dimargio pickups it's a 100 stock except for the plastic knobs that i put on here the thing about parkers that are great are they are perfectly balanced that always freaks people out this one is my one of my favorite stories i uh worked on this guitar for a customer in 2010 and then a few months ago a few yeah a few months ago they said they wanted to sell it and i was like i'm in i haven't stopped thinking about it since 2010. so 10 years later this guitar became mine now here's a guitar that's really interesting i did a video about a year or two ago uh where i bought guitars that you guys recommended on channel and one of them was this keysol vader and i absolutely love this guitar this is a guitar that uh i don't know why i don't think of it as my main guitar but it's definitely the guitar that probably gets played the absolute most i don't think i actually go more than a day without playing this guitar it is 100 stock except it has plastic knobs and it's also a neck through construction okay it's fiesta time fender fiesta red two tone uh tele thin line uh two-tone because the back is white i love the fiesta red they got it right it looks like a bowl of tomato soup everything i left uh stock except for the bridge i took the three saddle bridge off and i put the sixth saddle bridge on maple neck this has an ebony fretboard and these were limited edition run and they didn't look like they sold very well i got a really good deal on this a prs mira uh core so this is a 2013 i bought new it's uh beat up it's been refretted i referred it with stainless steel frets in 2019 late 2018 it's uber light it plays great it sounds great we have the somnium guitar now if you're not familiar with this guitar you're probably not familiar with my channel the sony guitar is also known as the impossible guitar is a guitar that allows me to change in real time any pickups that i want literally on the fly as we go this guitar was built by somnium of course and i use this to do pick up videos it's it's a flawless guitar it's one of my heaviest guitars i see one thing i don't like about it um i don't love about it but uh it's not a heavy guitar in my mind it's just again one of the heaviest has hip shot locking keys maple neck alder body and uh there you go there's the back this one is my eddie van halen stripe guitar this one i bought i want to say in 2000 probably 2014 that sounds about right to me uh basswood body maple neck made in mexico i added the uh attachment on the back to hold the allen wrenches other than that it's stuck i didn't even have to change the knob obviously i you know why i have this guitar that's why a lot of us have this guitar it's because he was a amazing player who touched so many of us and i wanted a piece of history and i feel like this is cool and i like playing it and uh that's why i have it so one of my more indulgent guitars in other words there's no reason to have it other than i just love eddie van halen and i want one of his guitars my ibanez a-z this one is 100 stock i didn't have to change anything on it and i like this better than my sir i i like it every way better than the sir fender standard telecaster i think this was called the magnificent seven uh this is sea foam green with a matching headstock it also has some changes here are the changes uh it has the rock rabbit uh plate so the switch is at an angle i put a strat switch tip on there so again so i can get to it i have the cream jazz master style knobs that i absolutely love um i have uh upgraded the pickups to lindy freylins that's what's in the guitar the blues set i have fender locking keys i added that to it when i changed the bridge out from the three saddle to the six saddle made in japan prestige joe satrani guitar in something pearl like black pearl like black pearl like the pirates black pearl it is stock in every way uh even the knobs that stock um this is an opportunity by guitar uh basically i always wanted a joe saw trying to guitar and uh even though i wanted either the muscle car or orange or the other ones this one just presented itself in a perfect situation it's fantastic so here's a 2015 american standard strat so this is right before the change of standard to professional love the neck on this guitar this is a great guitar in fact i love this neck so much even though this guitar got dropped that's how i got it um it was a guitar that got damaged there's a big dent right there and it's cut into two slices cut and um i uh i absolutely couldn't stop playing it i loved it and i didn't even care it's one of those things like i don't care i don't care about that dent i just love it uh i changed the tuning keys to locking keys uh it's a uh alder body with a maple neck and rosewood fretboard and of course i did change the pickups and the bridge so the bridge on this is the push in tremolo style black block bridge so i added that and the pickups are black stock copper heads so the bridge is wound a little hot with a teleplate uh style pickup underneath it very very cool it's got a lot of warmth and fullness it's a fantastic guitar here is a very interesting guitar this is the solar guitar uh ola england owns the brand solar and this is another one of those guitars everybody's like you gotta try solar you to get one on the channel i reached out to the solar guitars i said look i want to buy a guitar but could you do me a favor could you take it out of the box or could you weigh the boxes could you find me the lightest one you have and ola england himself sent me an email back and he said phil we'll just send it out to you and i said look i i really please thank you so much you know thank you for offering to someone out you know for the channel however i'd rather pay for it and have you weigh it because it's it's one of those things like there's not light i'm not gonna play it not only did he weigh it they weighed it and shipped it as a gift and uh i'll never get rid of it because it was just a nice gift and it was nice not only to send it for the video this color was also immediately discontinued and it's my absolute favorite color some people think it's red it looks like burnt orange it's definitely a very burnt orange guitar it's fantastic it's 100 stock i i tell myself all the time i would change maybe the knobs or the pickups and to be honest every time i pick it up i go nope it's it's perfect now we have my kiesel fios guitar a roasted maple neck all of her body maple cap none of the earring but an actual maple cap two humbuckers uh goto style bridge or kodo bridge volume tone fireway switch rosewood fretboard kinda like okay i wanna sir modern but i really before i go and take that leap let me see what the kizo guys can build and it's absolutely perfect stainless steel frets uh i love the pickups of course the only thing i changed was i took off the metal knobs that came with it put the plastic knobs on there and it's a slightly larger body and it's also chambered fantastic i'll say this again owning a uh sir owning a keys what i will tell you is a lot of people will tell you the sirs will blow the keys out of the water i as much as i like both uh they're not they're not much different to me they're just about the same now you're going to see one of my oldest guitars this guitar is a 1991 alvarez scoop dana scoop uh where it's missing it's missing an important part right there alder body maple neck rosewood fretboard main korea this guitar was one of the guitars that was stolen from me and then i got it back so it's got a lot of history has everything stock except for the pickups i put seymour duncan's in it i don't really play it too much but back in the day this is the one i like to shred on and um this is one of those guitars that forever you could pick them up for 300 bucks and now they're they go for about six to seven sometimes this is one of those guitars that i thought it would change me as a person if i owned an es335 uh this has flat wounds on it is 100 stock i changed nothing other than like i said the strings to flat wounds and i do play it way more than i ever thought i would i thought it would be a cool different guitar for different vibe but to be honest i play it way more than i ever expected and i absolutely love it this one again was very hard to get especially for the weight and uh it's great here we have a 2 000 gem floral pattern uh so this guitar of course is very infamous for a lot of people people know that steve eyes guitar i started playing guitar 8889 and that's when i picked up my very first guitar and started playing twinkle twinkle little star and these were the guitars that you know you saw the flashy you know guitars at the time and it didn't take long just a few years i was playing guitar for only a couple years and this guitar these type guitars were just gone this whole genre was gone and so i never got any of these guitars really and uh as i got older it was one of those things like kind of like chasing old cars from when you're in high school i know what you're thinking all my guitars look like strats well here's one that doesn't this is a gibson flying v it's also very light this is an ivory or white looks like butter the pickups are the standard pickups that comes in it but i added chrome covers to them for aesthetics and i added a uh a duesenberg tremolo that i had it for a while i had it on my sg i liked it but when i saw this i just thought of jimi hendrix having a v i just wanted a tremolo v um and uh i actually play this again i know i said there's a lot of plays way more than i ever thought here is my 2020 hollow body two core guitar in blue and um it's absolutely a beautiful work of art this is a carved maple top not bent top with a matching carved back this is not a tin top but it looks like a tin top it's in nitrous lacquer mahogany neck this one is definitely different this is a nuno benton court n4 from washburn this is a usa one and of course you're used to seeing them with no finish and this of course has been dipped is what they call it they literally dip this in paint the only modification this guitar of course is this is the 59 that normally would come in it but i have a zebra and i put a jb instead of the uh the bill lawrence and i put the allen wrench holder on the back and this is an ebony fretboard with an alder body and of course it plays fantastic and i had nuno sign it so there you go now we have my kiesel delos guitar and uh this looks like a strat without a headstock it's because it's a strap without a headstock very cool humbucker single single it's all stock i left everything the way it sits it's a roasted maple neck and fretboard it's fantastic um and uh it's now my travel guitar anywhere i go i take this guitar with me this is the ultimate travel guitar custom-made warwick streamer base this is very custom it's 32 inch scale so shorter scale has dots added to it warwick usually doesn't like do dots i had them do that bell brass frets brass nut they have a wing a neck with winged tuning keys this is a solid brick of maple i say solid it's two pieces but it's solid there's no there's no veneer top or even a maple cap it's entirely made of maple uh they used a piece of maple to carve the back plate uh as well and uh it has all black hardware which is pretty obvious it's fantastic it's a it's a dream come true base uh when i was in germany i was able to uh talk to the guys at warwick and have them build this for me and um when i bought it i don't regret anything about it now we have my last and final base this is my american 2004 jazz deluxe with a maple neck it has a drop d tuning key that i added to it and i have bartolini pickups and bartolini active electronics and this is my main base uh i play the space pretty much 100 of the time now we have a 2016 custom shop gibson r9 i mean it's it's a burst it's absolutely perfect and it's eight pounds six ounces so very light for les paul big chunky 50s neck uh tons of tone i've played some eastman guitars that were vibed like this and i played some maybach guitars that were vibe like this and as much as i'm impressed with the guitar those guitars for a significantly less amount of money vibed really well now we have my paulie smith custom 24 arize verde uh this is the main custom 24 i had before nathan made me the one he made but to be honest with you i really feel connected to this guitar in a lot of ways um i love the way it sounds and plays i've used it a lot and um i just really like it and it's nice to have a tremolo version and a hardtail version of the same guitar there's things i like about both both styles of guitars so i stick i'm connected to it um i want to say this is a 2014 so i bought this in 2014. there you've seen most of my guitar collection i do have a few other guitars sometimes some of the guitars are just here for the channel they're just visiting for the channel so of course i didn't really really highlight those guitars as well here's why i focus on this when you're playing guitars if you want to own a bunch of guitars what you want to do is you want to play them you know they are beautiful wall art don't get me wrong i mean i would buy more guitars to hang on the walls before i would buy paintings um but that being said i want to play them and what i learned is that when they're very consistent in the way that they feel when the weight wise you tend to just play them all there's no like oh i'm going to play the light one or i'm going to play the heavy one you just pick them all up and play them uh that's why i focus on that on that note i'm gonna let you guys go thank you so much for your time today until the next time know your gear [Music] you
