MPC ONE - Making DRILL in 10 Min / MIXING Workflow on the Mpc!

today i'm gonna make a drill beat in 10 minutes and after that i'm going to show my mixing workflow on the mpc one what's up this is my cello if you're interested in beat making videos tutorials and more consider subscribing let's dive in alright on track one we got a sample [Music] a melody and on track two i loaded up some drums on trick three we got some effects and on track 4 we got 1 808 hit all right let's start the 10 minutes now first just chop up the sample go to sample edit do it with regions now convert it into a new drum program and now go to program edit maybe pitch i like that maybe let's put the bpm to 140 or 44 maybe [Music] [Music] okay i like that let's do it again all right i like that let's soften the attack a little bit on those [Music] okay now let's add some drops [Music] i like this let's take this hi-hat and let's play it with 16 levels velocity [Music] okay [Music] [Music] all right let's add some percussion [Music] what's wrong with this [Music] all right [Music] i think that's pretty cool but let's lower the volume [Music] all right now let's add the base [Music] let's tune it all right now let's um put it on [Music] [Laughter] [Music] all right now let's uh put the sample play to note on [Music] [Music] boom [Music] boom [Music] all right now let's tune it back down [Music] do it again [Music] all right it's not the perfect base but now let's add another instrument maybe a plugin [Music] electric [Music] let's take this [Music] okay [Music] all right thumbs up alright now let's mix it a little bit first let's go to mixer and put an eq on it just cut away some lows yeah maybe let's just solo it for now [Music] all right now let's add maybe something a stereo width let's actually also add a little bit of reverb [Music] now let's look at the drums let's lower the level of the hi-hat and let's also add some kind of delay to the hi-hat is there something like a otter pan on there i think yeah okay now we got the hats panned now let's look at the whole drum program [Music] let's put an eq on it just to cut some lows i'm doing that with every but let's cut it at 20 hertz [Music] emphasize the frequencies of the kick and the snare and also let's lighten it up a little bit [Music] all right and let's also add a compressor to this one to the to the drum [Music] with a slow attack [Music] let's make it a parallel compression so let's just put it all right now let's look at the percussion let's put a cue to the percussion just to lock up [Music] and now let's look at look at the base let's also put an eq on the base [Music] make a low cut at 20 hertz and i emphasized 100 hertz something like that on the kick so let's take that away from the base let's put some distortion on the base all right let's actually also put [Music] a little distortion on the drums there's something like a soft [Music] clipping [Music] all right now let's add some variation to the sample um let's actually copy track one the sample track to track six which is unused let's call it a second sample so now let's go to track six and let's duplicate the sample program so we can mess with it and now [Music] let's pitch it up one octave so let's go to program edit and let's pitch it up 12 semitones all right [Music] that's not fun actually solo so now let's go to [Music] maybe let's um cut some more lows [Music] and let's also change the stereo width a little bit [Music] and the reverb let's [Music] and now let's actually add a delay [Music] so [Music] if you enjoyed the video check out this video i'll see you over there peace [Music]
