Moving Into My Sorority House! | Pi Beta Phi | The University of Alabama

good morning and happy move-in day if you're new here hi my name is lauren and i go to the university of alabama and today i'm moving into my sorority house i am in pi beta phi there at ua and i am so so excited to get today going i actually started my youtube my very first video was a move-in vlog now we're over 20 000 subscribers in and it just seems very surreal i'm currently in line at starbucks to get a coffee because it is 7 30 in the morning so right now i'm in line but i'm moving up a little bit but my boyfriend will is moving me in today so his car is all packed up but he wanted to go somewhere else for breakfast he's in the drive-through there and then i'm just sitting in vlogging in the starbucks drive through basically i'm bringing you along today i am sharing a room in pi fi and my roommate is rachel you'll meet her a little bit later she moves in two hours after me yes we are moving in during covid and everything um we're trying to stay as safe as possible of course masks are mandatory and they're like sanitizing and cleaning all these different precautions kind of going on but i want to do this really quick intro before i get my morning coffee just to introduce myself and introduce you to the video let's get this day going and let's get me moved in okay we are on our way to tuscaloosa [Music] so a little update i have my flashers on right now because will just got pulled over by a state trooper we are turning right here this is the parking deck and we are going to drive back there and then it will bring us to the back of pi-fi where we're going to unload everything from my room we have made it to pi-fi we are starting to get everything in they are helping us move stuff out of will's car right now we got here i just checked in i just filled out my paperwork it just went up to the room it is so so beautiful okay so here is my room 26. this is what it looks like i just got this gift for rachel i'm just going to place it right there for right now but this is an overview of what our little room looks like this is my side of the room guys it's so hot outside this is their little goodie bag that they got us like our little shower caddy this is the desk area obviously window and then this will be my bed how exciting this is all storage all this is storage yeah let's move in guys this is so surreal i can't wait for rachel to get here and see her side [Music] i know [Music] okay guys so i'm currently posting on my instagram story i'm updating you through instagram and through youtube right now hello but everything is moved in i just have to start unpacking everything so i will show you what it looks like i'm using rachel's like bookshelf right here to set my tripod on but i have all of my stuff laid out right here of course on my bed i have this stuff laid out and then some stuff in the closet area right here as you can kind of see and then also the desk area right here rachel is bringing some curtains we are here we're just waiting on will to come back and then i'm just going to figure out where everything is i don't have to wear my mask in my room so that's why it is off and whenever i'm unpacking obviously i'm not going to have it on because it's so so hot actually while we're waiting on will we're going to go through what i have in my shower caddy okay so they got us some skinny pop fun this also has our name and vinyl on it these are magnets that go on like the dryer i think um which have our phone number and everything so i will not be showing they got us some snacks and skittles and some gummy bears some hand sanitizer of course um i think this is like a laundry bag yeah they're like two little bags that would be nice for laundry it has a little pie beta five button on it how cute i'm gonna go ahead and open it up while i'm waiting for will cause why not guys it's a makeup bag and it has our initial and then it has pi beta phi on it guys i love this so much i'm gonna put it right there that is so so cute my hamper doesn't fit in here oh no that is so sad [Music] you wanna come help me get this out [Music] my hair is so great [Music] okay so before rachel gets here i want to show you like what i got her so if you watch my dorm haul video you will know that i made these pi beta phi signs to go above our head and our bed so i got her this little basket okay so this is what the basket looks like it's kind of like weird right now but i got her some bath and bodywork goodies over here some hand sanitizer of course i got her a shirt from pride and prejudice she said that she liked pride and prejudice so i just got it this is her card right there i got her a pop socket some candy some face and hair masks these cat binder clips this keychain that just says rachel on it i got her these two socks one is a giraffe one bubblegum and one is a llama and then i got her this headband so this is like a fuzzy headband like whenever you want to wash your face and stuff then i got her this hat which just says pie fight on it and then this is like a herringbone um box that she can use um some more face masks and then this is a picture frame of us like on a game day that's just like graphic art another face mask and then a notebook i got this iv off amazon and it stinks so freaking bad it literally smells like fish oh no between you and me [Music] i'm so happy about this this is gonna look really good [Music] okay so we are slowly but surely making it this is the kind of i guess stars to it all i'm slowly getting my closet done i forgot one thing to organize my shoe so i'm going to have to get that here somehow will is just posted up chilling in the bed right now [Music] [Music] then [Music] got a time done we're gonna make a break from one right now bye rachel we'll be back soon saying bye to pie five for a while we're going to go get jim and nick's i'm so pumped [Music] hello hello we just got our gemini x we got it to go because they're not open in the dining room area so i don't really know where we're planning on eating probably just in the car to be honest okay so we just ate lunch it was delicious it was really really good also there's another jeep passing and i want one soap out someone talk her out of buying a jeep right so we're about to walk back into pi fi and finish some stuff up he has to leave in like an hour ish yeah probably going to make it an hour and a half yeah but he has to finish doing the tv and then put up some wallpaper you and me [Music] we're trying to get this wallpaper up will that look so cute though i don't really know how this is gonna turn out i think it's gonna be cute will saying bye to will that guy's to go makes me sad i don't want you to leave i think once i have it all done he's going to be like wow lauren this is so good like oh my god you always do good you always do good but i have to say bye and walk into this car [Music] sorry [Music] all right so we're getting so good rachel's cleaned so much um since we last saw her like we can see the floor what but pie fight got us chick-fil-a so i'm about to eat some of that she has dinner reservations what's up guys it's been a hot second so i ate my chick-fil-a rachel went out to dinner with her family there are some things in my room that i'm not showing you because i want to wait until my room tour just ordered my pictures for my corkboard up here off of walgreens and then also some pictures to replace in my picture frames right now i'm going to try and put up the fabric right here and see what it looks like okay so i just got my woolly masks i am heading out i'm facetiming will but i'm heading out to walgreens while facetiming him having a great time guys i feel so tired it's been a very very long day i got done at walgreens um and now i'm at target in tuscaloosa beautiful target there we go i just have a couple things to get that i forgot and i need to get some cleaning supplies [Music] okay friends we got our target bags we are heading back to pi-fi just walking down i'm in the parking garage target was absolutely packed it was insane but i am in for the night we are going to hang these pictures and finish up everything that we need to get done for the room we are back baby absolutely crazy i get to call this place home for the next year okay we are back and ready we still have a little bit left to go as you can see [Music] [Music] million miles an hour [Music] don't be scared cause you know that i'm already well guys that was me decorating and moving into my sorority room be sure to keep your eyes out on my channel for my sorority room tour which i'm super duper excited to go over and show you guys i have a couple more things that i left at home that i'm just now remembering so i went ahead and marked those down so my mom can bring them tomorrow morning also didn't get enough pictures i thought i did but this is a very very large bulletin board and so i'm just going to buy them tomorrow morning and put them on there and then take some pictures in my room to post on instagram but thank you guys so much for coming along with me today like i said in the beginning of this video my first video on youtube was my move-in vlog to my freshman dorm and so it just means the world to me that we have been doing this for a full year i don't know it's just absolutely crazy and it's insane to see how big the family has actually grown this year also a ton of you guys have been messaging me on instagram because i've been giving you teasers throughout the day and you're like oh my gosh this is gracie o'connor's old room yes it is she lived in this exact room and then she lived like in this part of the room also i wasn't trying to get this room it wasn't like that basically how they set it up was it was like a first come first serve basis the girls are listed like on a list basically and like you go down the list like they say what room they want well if like girl number two and girl number three want to be roommates they would just say the same room if that kind of makes sense so rachel had her choices of like what she wanted her only like requirement or like want was she wanted to be on the second floor of pi-fi and my only want was that i wanted the layout to be the bed to bed like all the beds on one wall there are different layouts in the pi-fi house of how your room can be set up whenever it got time to pick this is the only room on floor 2 that had this layout and so it worked out perfectly because we both got what we wanted i was going to try and get my bigs room but someone had gotten my big's room before i did it was literally my best friend marie but she picked my big's room so this was the room that we chose but thank you guys so much for
