today we bring you the 10 most reliable vehicles for the upcoming year and even though you might not be surprised with some of the brands that you see on this list Toyota don't worry because we'll have some alternatives for you that have a little bit more flare I'm Brad this is ideal buckle up and let's [Music] go coming in at the number 10 spot on this list is the Toyota Highlander Hybrid I mean what can we say the high Lander as big as it is it just gets the job done even if we disregard the reliability score which by the way is a solid 75 the Highlander still provides customers with a kick of fuel efficiency safety features and space for those who need a third row seating there's a reason it's a class leading crossover and it's no surprise that Toyota is kicking off this top 10 list but don't worry I hear you a Highlander shirt it rides well and probably has Apple carplay and it's kind of putting me to sleep all right if that's not for you try out something like the Mazda cx90 woo great looking car because this is a comparable three row SUV and it gives you basically everything that Highlander can offer but with much more tasteful styling a much more Dynamic Driving Experience and cheaper base price than the big old Toyota plus Consumer Reports predict that the cx90 will have above average reliability compared with other new vehicles I mean that just sounds like a win-win we're just getting started okay with a score of 77 from consumer reports and number nine on the top 10 most reliable cars is the Toyota Corolla huge upset right well duh of course not it's a Corolla I mean it's the bestselling car of all time with upwards of 50 million units sold worldwide over its production run and I bet you saw one old or new on the way to work or school this week without even knowing it these cars not only sell like hot cakes but are reliable enough to stay on the road for decades upon decades and the new 24 model keep keeps that ball rolling with a comfy ride and C combo great fuel economy and that Classic Toyota Simplicity when it comes to driver controls but just like the Highlander I can hear you winding through the screen for a cooler alternative ask and ye shall receive bam how about the Honda Civic SI it's got the Japanese reliability to easily rival the Corolla but more importantly it's got the power handling and good looks to leave the Toyota in dust US news said it predicts the 24 Civic models to have around an 84 score for reliability and I mean it's a Honda so you seriously don't have to worry about any of that the 2024 acurate RDX comes in at number eight with its Sleek modit design and a really good reliability score of 80 and with that number it actually received the best rating in its class again Honda am I right but reliability isn't all that's here with the RDX a healthy 272 horsepower Turbo Charge 4 Banger paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission works really really well with its Swift and responsive chassis to make a great allaround package I mean I wouldn't mind taking this thing on a cross country road trip it's an Acura after all so you know the interior is a place you want to spend a lot of time and because it's such a solid package already I don't think that we should even give it an alternative good on you Acura and now tying the RDX in its reliability score of 80 is the Toyota Rav 4 or who didn't see this coming because much like the Corolla this model has for decades been one of those cars you see on the road no matter its age right when the world and especially America started gravitating to the larger SUV Market Toyota gave us something practical without making it too large and the recipe Remains the Same for 24 of course it has that bulletproof Toyota reliability but also great gas mileage in intuitive controls for its driver but on the inside and in some of the mechanical bits it does leave something to be design desired for someone like you and me so if the Rav 4 doesn't tickle all your fancy well there's always the Mazda CX5 and I know I know another Mazda for an alternative but I cannot stress this enough these cars are some of the best regular cars you could possibly buy for the exact same price 29,000 bucks you can get a car with standard all-wheel drive as opposed to standard front-wheel drive an interior that is far more sexy and luxurious and a driving experience that makes the Rav 4 feel outdated at best and at the number six spot we remain in Japan but transition to a different brand it's the Subaru Forester with a fantastic CR score of 82 this Billy go of a crossover is a car that has gathered both a cult and mainstream following in its lifespan there are tons of car enthusiasts out there who still have early versions of this C and sing their praises to this day and now there's a whole new community of adventurous folks who take their Foresters to the ends of Earth without any problems and we love the Forester as well even though the old JDM examples were coolest of course we can appreciate a car that is Affordable gets great gas mileage and has one of the most precisely developed all-wheel drive systems in the [Music] world ladies and gentlemen yes we have another tie this time a BMW X5 matched the Foresters 82 score wait German car or BMW yeah I know clat do 5 Series has never seen such reliability in its life but these numbers they don't lie the X5 has surprisingly great reliability and offers some much needed luxury on this list that BMW premium that you'll pay won't be for nothing either you get a 375 horsepower inline 6 beautiful interior materials and some real Dynamic chassis balance and handling it's a great all around luxury SUV and this time no alternative is need it again I know another one Rav 4 Prime being on this list list is frustrating since its non-hybrid brother already got a top 10 spot but admittedly it's impressive how many Toyotas are on here and it's hard to spin reliability into a bad thing the prime deserves its spot because it takes the already good Rav 4 and does everything better from its combined 32 horsepower hybrid powertrain to its all-wheel drive system and of course its reliability score which came out to a solid 84 you got it this time Toyota you really did all right to round out the top three as many of you have guessed as it has been for years Toyota takes a Podium spot and with the Camry score of 86 it's hard to argue against it it's probably the most well-known and longest lasting midsize sedan ever and offers both a base 4 cylinder and a 4300 horsepower V6 which we all know and love add on top of that some bolt styling great safety ratings and a plethora of cool cosmetic options and the Camry can satisfy everyone but maybe not every everyone right you know I thought I was done of course I had a backup for this one especially in the sedan segments so if the camera is too well Camry like for you you might like the Kia Stinger and yes the base model is as expensive as the highest trim Camry but hear me up for a sec the Stinger goes out of production next year and journalists have loved them from the moment they were introduced they provide twin turbo V6 power wonderful driving feel and handling much more character and sex appeal than a Camry no doubt about it plus the 2023 models have a very similar reliability rating so get one before they get killed off the 2024 Camry Hybrid yet another one to punch from Toyota on this list this hybrid tells the same story as the rap 4 and rap 4 Prime tells you it's the same car but just a little bit better more power better reliability from the powertrain and an improved set of options that make this Camry probably the perfect long-term daily driver it'll also save you far more money on gas with the significantly improved mileage over the base car with 44 and 53 MP gallon respectively it finishes strong with a score of 87 and no I won't give you an alternative because well I'm just saving that for the number one spot and the gold medal well the shared gold medal goes to the Toyota 4Runner with a CR score of 87 tying the Camry Hybrid shocking I know see the Toyota 4Runner makes this list of reliable rides and the sky well it's blue it's a big bad off-road ready machine that has a ton of character and even more capability but just remember with the new gx550 making an appearance a very very very good chance a brand new 4Runner is right around the corner so while yes it TOS this list it might be worth it to wait one more year for the newer version now normally I wouldn't recommend the first year of a new making model but we just got done reviewing the new Toyota Tacoma and I got to say yes the 2023 version is good but the 24 version is so much
