today we're looking at the most creepy Unexplained Mysteries in Mario games for example the pyramids they may just hold a dark secret because if we go inside the one in Mario 64 we can see these strange hieroglyphs on the pyramid walls one of them in particular stands out from the rest as it seems to say ET as in extraterrestrial UFOs are no stranger to the Mario Universe 2 as you can find a secret one in Mario 3D Land if you look in these specific B however to see the most interesting piece of evidence we need to go all the way back to Mario Land because here you play through an entire world filled with pyramids that leads to a whole level inside of one ending with a fight against the Sphinx and once you're done with this pyramid world do you know how the very next level starts in the world immediately after this one by Mario getting beamed down by a UFO so could aliens potentially have built the pyramids in the Mario Universe detective bits here as you can see this is just the beginning because these Mysteries will keep getting more odd and unsettling as we progress today so let's see if we can answer some of the most unanswered questions in Mario Sunshine one of the major occurrences is that all the locations are covered in some sort of goop pattern and the way these patterns were made by the developers is by using goop maps and basically an overhead view of how the goop would be placed in a level and there were a bunch of goop maps that were removed from the final game most of them looked pretty standard you know they're in the shape of certain enemies or some are just in random patterns but then when looking at the final goop map things start to get a bit more creepy you can see a Goomba and a piranha plant drawn in the goop which seems normal but then take a look at this creature this is like nothing we've ever seen in this game as it looks way more disturbing it has this super unsettling looking face with these wide open eyes and then these weird lanky arms and legs so who was this guy is he a cut enemy from the game or something and why does he look way more terrifying than anything else in this game now that was already a pretty creepy start but Big Boo's Haunt from Mario 64 might just have something even more creepy in it and it's right at the beginning when you enter and gaze at the Mansion because here you'll notice that all the booze in this level are constantly laughing at you and it sounds something like this however sometimes on rare occasions when you enter the door of the Mansion you'll hear a different laugh this is weird because we never hear this laugh anywhere else in the game and this is never mentioned or referenced ever some people thought that this could be king Buu as he appears in this level two however this laugh can still appear even after you defeat him plus we do hear what king Buu sounds like in this game and it doesn't sound anything like this laugh either in fact it doesn't really sound like any Boo for that matter but rather something we've never seen before so whose mysterious laugh is this then those were some of the more basic Mysteries so now let's move on to the big ones but speaking of the booze let's take a closer look at them because they're a rather mysterious creature in the Mario Universe now the main mystery about these guys is that who exactly are the boo actually ghosts of since it is so unclear there have been many theories that try and answer this question maybe they're dead B bombs due to their similar body size and eye shape plus the fact that Bub bombs kill themselves when they attack by exploding so maybe the booze are just exploded BB bombs or maybe they could just be shy guys I mean we never see the face of a shy guy so maybe it's just a boo behind his mask and when you look at a boo they get all shy and freeze up so what if they wear the mask because they don't like to be looked at and then how exactly is King Buu made also is he just the Dead version of King bomb or was he like formed by a bunch of normal booze fusing together or something well no one really knows as these are just fan theories that try and answer this unknown mystery about the booze in all Mario games there's always certain assets or character characters that never made it into the final release because they were cut out sometime in development and this is no different in Mario Galaxy as there were a ton of cut enemies here and most of them seem pretty fitting for a Mario game but then we can see that there were a bunch of models for these realistic creepy bug enemies that seem out of place for a Mario game the models were called larva big larva small fly big fly and big big fly what's weird about about this though is that there are other bug enemies in Galaxy but they actually fit with the Mario aesthetic whereas these guys look like they're from a completely different game maybe they were supposed to have a much more darker role in this game like spreading some sort of space virus across the different galaxies since look at these guys they have these long pincers and red eyes like they're infected with something so what were these creatures roles supposed to be in the Galaxy series and why do they looks so out of place here and if you like these Mario Mysteries then let me know by subscribing and I'll make more of these thank you all now let's move on now we're going to be looking a lot more in depth at Mario 64 locations as they seem to house a lot of mysteries in them more specifically we're going to be taking a closer look at Jolly Roger Bay now the water levels in this game generally seem more creepy and mysterious cuz of the fog under the surface but what's odd about this one in particular is the giant sunken ship that's at the bottom of the Bay now it looks to have been sunken down here for quite a while as many different eels have made it their home when you get inside the ship you can find sunken treasure and once you drain the water the ship will float again but all this just begs the question what is the origins of this mysterious ship and what happened to its crew Could This Crew have been pirates due to the treasure in the ship or was this one of Bowser's airships that crash down here plus how do all the eels in this level play into this as well we clearly see that they're very lethal creatures to Mario and are extremely territorial as this one is guarding the entrance to the ship so maybe these eels could have eaten the original crew of the ship as it landed in their home but this is just speculation as the real reason remains a mystery Mario Odyssey a game with actually not a whole lot of mysteries in it except for the one I want to talk about now this game has a bunch of different species and they each have these little sounds that they make when they are talking it's just gibberish but it is used to show what their voices would sound like however if we talk to this specific shop worker in new donk City he'll say something weird now again all these species are supposed to be talking in complete gibberish but people have claimed that this guy says I just want to die through his dialogue just this could just be a weird pattern that the gibberish was in and it just happened to sound like this phrase but at the same time I don't know maybe one of the developers snuck in this secret message to show that he was not happy with his job or something and isn't it weird that only one retail worker in this Kingdom says this phrase too so maybe these people who are working in this store could just be a parody of retail workers in the real world who hate their job since new don city is a parody of New York City well who knows really could this simply just be gibberish or did the developers sneak in a potential hidden message into the game now let's examine one of the most mysterious creatures in the Mario Universe a shy guy no it's falling and I'm not even talking about the fact that he first appeared in a game that was all a dream but then somehow this dream character made it into the real world no we have to look at the major mystery about this character and that is of course that it is totally unknown what is hiding behind his mask now you might just think what's so creepy about that maybe he just has a cute normal face that he's too shy to show well I wouldn't be so sure because if we look at a certain scene from Mario Power Tennis we can see that Shy Guy trips which causes his mask to fall off while we are still unable to see it ourselves Luigi on the other hand gets a good look at the face and just look at his reaction he looks horrified at what he is seeing so why was he so terrified then what kind of Horrors are hidden beneath Shy Guy's masks to Warrant such a dramatic reaction what also is pretty questionable about all of this is that in Mario Striker's charge we can see shy guys's mask actually move and change shape depending on his expression so is shy guys's mask really his face that's attached to him that got ripped off before so he had to place it back on himself which maybe would mean his face looks like this then that would kind of make sense because even when his mask did fall off his strap stays on his head for some reason so maybe that's not a strap after all Princess Peach has a rather unfortunate fate in all of the Mario games as she seems to get captured in every single one however in most Mario games we can see where Peach is actually being held and kidnapped by Bowser whether it be a cage a tower a floating duck it's clearly communicated to the player but then we come back to of course Mario 64 where it's quite unknown how or where Peach is held throughout the entirety of the game the only clue to her location is from this toad here that says Peach is trapped inside the castle walls so because of this and the odd shape of the castle window many people have theorized that peach was was trapped between the castle murals of herself throughout the entire game there is a very highquality diagram that explains why people theorize this to be the case because yeah it is weird how much Blank Space there is between these two windows plus when you do actually save her she just kind of appears in front of these windows too which is never really explained how she appears here either but this is just a fan Theory as her actual whereabouts remain unknown now let's look at some hidden ghosts as there seems to be quite a few of them that have appeared in several Mario games without any real purpose there's a pretty well-known one in Mario 3D land that appears in level 4-4 if you wait long enough by the end flag pole but we already looked at that one in my Mario myths video so why don't we look at Captain Toad's treasure Tracker then and head to the train level where we'll see an even creepier ghost here because if we go to episode 3 level 17 will be on a train the whole time and if you make it all the way to the very front and wait there for about 5 minutes then something pretty frightening will appear as a giant ghost with big sharp teeth can be seen under the train tracks so people have questioned what the purpose of all these mysterious ghosts in these various games could be as they are never mentioned by anyone in the game and are pretty hard to find unless you're specifically looking and they're not like booze or any other recognizable ghosts in the Mario series either so could these just simply be little Easter eggs hidden by the developers or perhaps there could be a more sinister meaning behind these ghosts and sticking with the captain Toad treasure Tracker game there's still another hidden Mystery that we have to examine but this time it is even more unsettling than the last because if we now go to episode 1 level 16 we'll be in this Haunted Mansion Level this time the creepy theme is immediately established now if you go to the side of this house and wait for another 5 minutes in this specific section of the wall you'll see something truly horrifying because if you look on the walls a bunch of handprints scattered around will appear nobody knows who all these handprints belong to and why they are here perhaps they were from previous toads that didn't make it out of this level or maybe this used to be some sort of prison and these are from prisoners who used to live here I mean these don't look like handprints from any ghost we've seen in the Mario Series so this has to be from an alive creature right either way this is a very creepy mysterious detail to include now how about let's look at the Bowser family tree as it's quite the confusing one so we know Bowser is the dad of Bowser Jr of course but then things immediately get more confusing with the Koopalings which have an unknown connection to Bowser some sources say that Bowser adopted them While others say that Bowser is their Uncle no one really knows but all of this still doesn't even consider the big mystery at hand who is the mother to all of Bowser's kids and I'm mainly talking about Bowser Jr here there was a theory that his mom was named Claudia Koopa from this picture that floated around online however this was later disproven as the picture was just a joke in a magazine that showed what Bowser's yearbook looked like and this was just a girl from Bowser's yearbook and it's also weird that Bowser chose to lie to his son in Mario Sunshine and told him that Princess Peach was his mom that basically caused Bowser Jr to mess up is alino and kidnap Peach in this game only for Bowser to reveal that peach wasn't his mom at the end that's still a pretty odd thing to tell your son though was he just saying that to somehow justify by always kidnapping Peach to his son or could Peach actually be Bowser Jr's secret mom this whole time in some sort of weird love triangle I guess we'll never know and now we come to our last mystery which might just be the creepiest one out of them all as it's this weird game that takes Mario 64 and puts it into first person but this time when you enter the castle Peach isn't there but another terrifying princess is in the this Castle click the video on screen to see me play This creepy game for the very first time on my second Channel and we'll solve this Myster together if you dare of course [Music]
