I am now joined by one of the amazing stars of Top Gun Maverick Monica Barbaro hello you look so stunning tonight oh my gosh I saw you coming down the carpet I just stunning what story are you telling us with this look tonight this is an Ellie SOB dress and we're the first [Music] stick down um and so I was just really excited to get to wear them again for this insane once in a lifetime day and you worked it as you walked you worked it was I was like yes she knows how to work the dress So practice we practice it's a lot of fabric so practice honey you have to just practice people ask how you practice so you are obviously in Top Gun Mavericks during alongside the legendary Tom Cruise a sequel 30 years in the making what is your top takeaway from working with the icon Mr Cruz I mean he's been such a great mentor to all of us I think my one of my favorite things about him that I try to remember day to day is that he is forever a student of film and he's always watching you know the greatest films and and learning from them and using them day to day on set and you know um we just took notes all the time like every step of the way we were taking notes about what he was telling us and learning from him the way he learned from the greats and just try to stay a student what a privilege now if there is a sequel to top gun Maverick it's equal to this equal what would be your hope for your character if you return oh my goodness God I don't know I mean there I just trust them so wholeheartedly with this character it was important to everybody to make this woman be as strong as she could possibly be where you know it's just not about gender at the end of the day and they made her really powerful and and great and and clear-headed and I uh I feel like I aspire to be more like her and I was lucky to have amazing female Pilots to craft her after and you know I just I uh I just would hope for more of that yeah well darling you are her you played her so it's already there thank you so much have the best time tonight thank you you look stunning you look stunning thank you [Music]
