One of the most important thing that animates me, which is to use nuclear fuel very efficiently and to absolutely minimize the production of nuclear waste, does not seem to get a lot of appreciation or support in the nuclear community in general and it really kind of baffles me, because almost any time I'm talking to regular people in any level—non-technical, technical leadership, etc.—they always bring up the issue of nuclear waste and how much they would like to see it addressed, and I describe our technological approach and what we're doing and why I think it's going to be so compelling. But it really baffles me that this is not something that is weighed and taken more into account … .
