Here is their press release

Be aware that this press release is mostly cheerleading towards their initial round of funding:

Most of the initial round of funding from CFS will support collaborative research and development at MIT to demonstrate the new superconducting magnets. The team is confident that the magnets can be successfully developed to meet the needs of the task. Still, Greenwald adds, β€œthat doesn’t mean it’s a trivial task,” and it will require substantial work by a large team of researchers.

In other words - they have an idea, one they came up with two years ago and outlined in OP's video, and they want someone else to fund the R&D to see if they can make it work in 15 years. This is not a breakthrough by any stretch of the imagination. Just some very smart guys who think they can get it to work but want a boatload of funding from others to see if they can.

How much will this cost? Just launch an ICO crypto currency to fund it and offer dividends from the power it produces.
