ladies and gentlemen hey hi how you doing welcome back to the channel thank you so much for stopping by with season 1 reloaded Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer saw maybe the biggest single weapons update in the history of Call of Duty the amount of weapon balancing notes that we got with season 1 reloaded for multiplayer was insane focusing on MW3 guns and MW2 guns alike while also seeing some new guns added to the mix as well so today we're going over the general overview of the multiplayer meta if you enjoy the video as we do so do me a favor drop a like on it and of course if you're new to starting first here on our tier list of course now keep in mind we've got one specific tier list for multiplayer which is this one and one specific one for war zone They don't overlap they don't mix with each other uh if you want to check out the war zone meta breakdown that video will be linked down in the description below and probably on screen at the end of this video but let's first initially rank R2 two new weapons now uh right away the HRM 9 I love the feel of this thing to me is a really really fun SMG and goes right up there with all the other top tier options in my opinion this thing is aggressive it's agile uh really fun builds there especially with some of the barrels changing up the iron sights giving you that growl look from MW 2019 love the feel of that and then also the tack evolver I got to say is right up there with the other lmgs uh with between the 5.56 rounds which are super low recoil and really easy to use or the 762 ammo you really can't go wrong either way you're going to have a really reliable lmg that's built for a bunch of different types of scenarios uh there were times where I was getting you know five six seven kills without even having to reload without even thinking about it thing was just melting and ripping through uh enemies alike that said obviously with multiplayer being that it's so much more aggressive than uh war zone and a lot more gunfights are based in the close to mid-range rifles are going to inherently be a tad it better than lmgs just across the board despite the fact that so many of these are really good but new weapons out of the way I have got a lengthy lengthy list of multiplayer changes and all the updates that happened to go through as we readjust the overall meta breakdown here so initially the SVA 545 got a Max damage buff that close range is now going to be even better than before and quite frankly I already felt like the SVA was one of the better rifles in the game I feel like this bumps this up into the absolute meta category uh if you're using the hyper burst feature or just full auto this thing feels super reliable and it's super aggressive as well now the hogre 556 got a slight Sprint of fire Nerf that's not a drastic update by any means but it is something that's going to make it a little bit less aggressive its damage is still really good and it's one of the lowest recoil options in the game so to me it stays in that absolute meta area now the DG 56 actually got a range Nerf a decent one at that that's going to make it a little bit less effective than some of these other rifles and for that reason I feel like almost just because it is a burst weapon not nearly as straightforward as some other rifles it does drop down a tier into the more average area still a really good option you can get by and do well with it if you are a skilled player but it's going to be a tad bit less effective than it was before burst rifles in general in multiplayer can be a bit tricky uh if you're fighting over range you know close to mid-range it should be okay but overall it's going to be a tad bit worse than before on the flip side though the fr556 got a mid damage buff so it's going to be feeling a tad bit better again though that burst factor in effect I don't feel like that makes it absolute meta still a competitive choice though now the MCW is a tricky one here because several different meta attachments ended up getting some Nerfs some barrels and some stocks ended up getting some changes there but there's a lot of different builds that work well with the MCW and also in general its Sprint of fire got nerfed so its Mobility again will be a tad bit worse but overall it's still one of the go-to choices for multiplayer obviously a choice of the pros with the CDL so for the most part this is still going to be an absolute meta option you just might need to adjust some of your builds accordingly we'll be breaking down some setups in a future video so just stay tuned for that now this is a fun one the stb 556 actually got some range Buffs and to me this being a lower recoil rifle and relatively easy to use in general bumps this up into the more competitive option with a lot of the other MW2 rifles and MW3 rifles as well certainly makes it a lot more uh worthwhile and gives more value to actually using this so that's a nice update there but on the inverse of an MW2 gun getting bumped up the Cav 762 actually got multiple different lower body multiplier Nerfs so that damage is going to be a little bit worse now it's also not nearly as easy to use as some other MW2 rifles so I feel like that probably actually drops it down a tad bit into the more average category ease of use factored in and worse damage now just combined do make it a little bit less desirable than some other choices here now the Chimera already one of the best options for multiplayer ended up getting even better it's near to Mid damage got buffed so this thing's going to be frying even more you love to see that the Razer back also got some Buffs here some damage Buffs and some general range Buffs and that to me also makes it extremely desirable uh the advancer of the Chimera and the Razer back are all so similar as is and really the advancer in the Chimera just being a Tabit better in terms of damage in the close to mid-range where they're super aggressive is what separated them before but the razor back now being more effective in general to me brings it more on their level so it's extremely versatile pretty easy to use love the feel of it uh speaking of the advancer also it got a Max damage buff so its close range is even more aggressive and deadly now but it did see a max range Nerf so the damage range in which it's so effective is a tad bit worse but it's better in that damage range it's a nice trade-off there I feel like still makes it super good but it's going to feel a bit different now this is a weird one that quite frankly I don't really understand I have to find it in the list of average or below average guns here the M16 there it is in average for whatever reason they nerfed it the multipliers on the M16 are now doing less damage it was already not good before I'm dropping this thing down into the below average category I don't know if it's total garbage like The Sidewinder but it's close I'll give you that for sure uh they did make the Sprint of fire and the mobility a tad bit faster but that doesn't matter if you're just raising your sights up quicker to do no damage right now the cop 74 U unfortunately a little bit underwhelming with its current damage profile profile did actually end up getting some Buffs to its mid and its long range damage and range properties that said in comparison to the other aggressive rifles not really feeling it the M13 C things like the cast 545 and definitely the Chimera advancer and so on are definitely out gunning it still so it's staying in average me but it is definitely a little bit better than before speaking of the 545 it actually got a close damage buff so even more versatile now it also got a range Nerf but an ads buff as well so some different trade-offs here and there it's going to stay in competitive sort of balances it out but it's going to more effective for certain builds Now The Sidewinder as we talked about so garbage did actually get a recoil buff so it's going to be a tad bit easier to use I still hate the feel of this thing it's so awkward and a multiplayer with the fast ttk it's so unforgiving if you miss one or two shots so I feel like for that reason it's still going to stay in garbage but I will say it's closer to jumping up into below average also the dm556 I'm not sure why this is in below average but it's definitely not I got to bump that one up for sure now a lot of the different battle rifles ended up getting getting similar uh Buffs and changes here so the lockman 762 they buffed its Max damage however they also did various different changes for full auto capabilities they buff some things and Nerf some things so overall it's going to be better for close range uh however that's only for semi-auto in general its full auto properties there are going to be a little bit wonky still I feel like overall compared to other options here it's going to be staying in that average category the Cronin Squall also got a close damage buff but that's not really where this thing is going to thrive as like a slightly slower battle rifle so that's not a wildly important buff at least in my own opinion if I'm using close range I'm going for a more aggressive rifle or obviously an SMG now the ftac Recon did see an ads buff a lower torso multiplier buff and then also a full auto multiplier buff so overall becomes a little bit more effective just in general it is still super limited on ammo and not the easiest to use so I don't think it's absolute meta by any means but definitely one of the better uh you know semi-auto options in the game and so4 got those similar changes to earlier a Max damage buff and then a lower body multiplier buff but uh just for full Auto so a tad bit better there once more those uh ease of use factored in and skill Gap factored in competitive for sure but not something that anyone can pick up and do well with like absolute meta now for SMGs the Swarm actually got even better for the close to mid-range they buffed that so it's going to be a little bit more versatile now and certainly something that I would say is probably borderline absolute meta just with how versatile rifles are I don't know if any SMG truly can be considered the meta because so many of these can be SMG Replacements right but uh in terms of SMGs it's definitely one that stands out a ton the Rival 9's horizontal recoil is also even easier now so you love to see that in the even better SMG Choice also up there towards the absolute meta category and the striker 9 which previously didn't feel like it was all that crazy multiplayer ended up getting a Max damage buff so it's uh close range is going to be even more lethal and effective now right up there with some of those other better SMGs in the game love to see that uh you know definitely diversifies that specific category a bit more hey everyone real quick wanted to give a shout out to my friends over at gfuel start your 20 24 off right lockman Shroud in end up seeing a Max damage buff and a mid damage buff so it's close to mid-range will be even better now you did see some multiplier Nerfs though so that does balance it out some also it being a burst SMG doesn't really hang as well as with uh some of these other subs which are just way easier to use so it'll stay in average but it's a tad bit better at that now this is a nice one to see as well the fenick is going to be jumping up into the competitive category because they buffed its max range it's got a multiplier buff to various parts of the body and its Mobility is better as well so Buffs across the board the fenick is certainly more competitive now now the bass p he unfortunately ends up getting some Nerfs here they nerfed its max range but it ended up getting a lower body multiplier buff so going to be a tad bit better if you're hitting some leg shots in the mix there but its range is not going to be as effective as it was before it's close to mid-range though for an SMG is still very impressive compared to a lot of other choices the basic MP5 the general lockman sub also ended up getting a near damage and then also a torso multiplier buff so it's going to be better in the close range obviously going to be able to hang even better now with some of these MW3 Subs mx9 is a bit of a tricky one just because it's so limited in ammo even for multiplayer it's pushing it but it did get a leg multiplier buff and then also better ads and Sprint of fire with General Mobility so it's going to be more aggressive now but just with the ammo capacity there it's just not really all that worthwhile like the way I tear these out a lot is would I ever choose an M13 C over this and if the answer is uh yes and it's always then whatever this is is going to be lower than it you know if it's a back and forth I could use this or that they're obviously going to be in the same category I wouldn't choose the mx9 over really any SMG here so while it's getting better just still not as good as it needs to be to be competitive or meta now quite a few shotguns ended up getting updated in this uh update in specific the Lockwood 680 actually got a Sprint to fire Nerf and a uh no stock Mobility Nerf that said it's still one of the more reliable shotguns in the game it's just not going to be as aggressive now you have to pre- aim maybe a little bit more but it's still my go-to choice for shotties in multiplayer now the Lockwood 300 they actually nerfed the Dual trigger range so to me that's going to bring this down into the more so below average area uh just because it's not going to be able to compete as a shotgun against other shotguns even like yeah you could maybe make an argument for it being close to a Haymaker or an expedite or something in terms of just base damage but where it's going to be the best class setup with the Dual trigger and everything on it and only two shots I don't feel like it's that competitive against those options so I'm knocking that one down a decent amount Expo I 12 did get a tad bit better with its uh range buff and then also a uh spread buff as well so it'll be a tad bit more accurate still not on the level of the broad side of the lock in my opinion and then the Bryson's ended up getting some different changes each usually it's always the same changes but the Bryson 800 had a Mobility buff so it's a tad bit more aggressive and the 890 got a rate of fire buff both still are pretty underwhelming for shotties though definitely not on the level of the Haymaker the guardian the Lockwood Etc various different lmgs got some changes here the hoger 26 got a Max damage buff so its close damage range is now better but being an lmg that's not where it's going to thrive the most that's not a meta update that really takes this thing to the next level by any means it's an all right lmg but it's obviously meant for Mid to long range the dg58 LSW also got some Mobility Buffs so if you were trying to use like the conversion kit or something maybe that's more effective now but overall I wouldn't be taking it over these other lmgs not the new one not any of the existing ones either now the zck actually got a tad bit better which really makes it compete even more with the brew and the peum yacht so on and so forth got a lower torso multiplier buff but also an ads buff as well so it's a little bit faster which is nice to see because a lot of these MW3 lmgs are very versatile HR 56 also got a similar Mobility buff as well so again just helping out with that versatility now the DM 56 which I did buff up earlier or bump up earlier rather I ended up getting a Sprint of fire Nerf so its aggressiveness is a little bit worse but overall its damage is enough to hang with some of the other Marksman style weapons in the game uh but it's definitely not as crazy as something like maybe an Interceptor uh you know is now which coming up it's actually got some changes that's the next one here are some of the other options there the Interceptor though speaking of its changes got a head and a neck multiplier Nerf so those upper body shots will be a tad bit less rewarding luckily the Interceptor is not anything crazy in multiplayer still decent but it's got that skill Gap and there's some other semi-auto guns that I just feel like outgun it and are far more reliable than it currently the EBR ended up getting a Mobility buff it's nice that it's a tad bit more aggressive now it's still a higher skill Gap weapon kind of limited in the ammo so staying in average but faster which is nice the Lockwood MK2 also got a slight Mobility buff but it's just a hit marker machine even in multiplayer that's why I got it in below average so even though it's faster now it's not doing any more damage also while we're down here in Niche the crossbow ended up getting a minimum damage buff which is nice but it's obviously a crossbow in a competitive sense it's really not being used in any legitimate way it's more of a gimmick and a niche weapon so no changes there obviously now the Tempest torrent got a uh leg and foot multiplier buff so those lower body shots be a bit better but if you want this thing to be good you need to be hitting the upper body so that's not a super significant change there the LMS also got a Mobility buff so again a little bit snappier but skill Gap rate of fire factored in not going to be as good as some other semi-auto choices now the cat in multiplayer is a slow and heavy sniper so not nearly as you know viable as it is over in war zone and they nerfed the velocity on The Meta build for it for like long range sniping so it's going to be staying in average as a sniper I'd much rather be quick scoping with something like you know a longbow which quite frankly I could probably bump up into competitive uh some of the other options like the stalker and so on are definitely my choices for snipers instead inhibitor as a competitive sniper did actually see a Nerf to its damage and its range still better though than several other semi-auto Marksman style guns in the game so I going to keep that in compe comptitive for now but one to keep an eyee on for sure this admittedly is kind of a weird one the vicus got a lower torso multiplier buff if you're sniping and hitting lower torso it's probably not going well for you to begin with so that's kind of an irrelevant change I do like this change although I still don't really like the weapon the Carrick ended up getting a uh reentering increase so it's faster to reenter when you're spamming it it makes it easier to spam but it's still an awkward and heavy sniper not really my jam for multiplayer when you have more aggressive options that are just better outright towards the end here I promise we have a couple of different pistol updates here initially the tier ended up seeing some updates where is my tier it's in Niche because it's obviously being used as like a Kimbo snake shots or now as like a marksman style gun with the uh aftermarket part but it got a near medium damage buff a mid-range Nerf a multiplyer Nerf to various parts of the body and the trigger delay kind of ruins it it is I don't know if it's intentional across the board but the various trigger delays make it super awkward to use but it's not going anywhere out of Niche to begin with so it's staying there it is going to feel very different though after this update and then lastly the 9mm Damon from MW2 got a buff to its medium and Max damage so close to mid-range will be better uh got a Nerf to those ranges though so kind of just balances it out there and it's still a pistol at the end of the day but overall I mean the multiplayer meta while we saw so many different changes is still dominated by rifles they are by far the best guns for multiplayer just because they're so versatile you can build them to be fast and snappy as SMG hybrids mid-range long range is self-explanatory there there are some good uh SMGs though some decent lmgs good Marksman and whatnot you got a lot of variety obviously in multiplayer where the meta is a lot more wide open than in war zone but that
