[Music] today's an exciting day on pape machinery toolkit we've got a brand new model to show you these 2023 1025rs so let's get into it hi my name is jason hughes after serving in the army for 20 years i was searching for a way to serve my community that's when i found pape i'm also a large property owner and own and use most of the equipment you see in these videos myself i hope you enjoy this content if you have any questions please comment below let's get started [Music] both of these tractors came in yesterday they were ordered for customer specific so these guys were on the on the front end of ordering these tractors so very excited to get these delivered but we obviously thought we might capture some video before they went out the door so that the public could see how much of a great change these things are i was very excited to see these machines show up yesterday they came off of the truck i noticed immediately some new changes obviously aesthetically you can see right away this is a new model 1025r those headlights are absolutely different and great looking on this machine it almost looks a little bit sinister these are going to be both offered in the 1025r and the 1023e for this year obviously on the 1025r you're going to get the side side mounted lights as well so again all leds uh going to offer obviously a lot brighter light so they're going to light up your project a lot better very excited about that edition the next big addition to the 1025r and the 1023e lineup is going to be this handbrake style this handbrake has been offered on the rest of the lineup for quite a while the 1025r 2022 model and previous had a a park brake engagement that was on the front of the dash they've moved it down into this location it seems like it's going to be a lot easier to use it's pretty well out of the way it's got a nice curve to it so it's decently out of the way so i'm not going to be hitting my heel on it very much but i think the big advantage is that positive engagement you're going to feel that brake click into position and be able to stop you in anything you do one of the more simpler changes that they've made to this model year and i actually saw this at the end of 22 but right here on the right side panel where my loader controls are they've got some knockouts for switch panels so these are nice for if i'm adding like a a bagging system on the back that has a hydraulic opening and closing mechanism on it i have these knockout panels that i can just add that switch right in very very convenient very nice much more integrated look so that's a nice nice new change as well another big change is going to be right here on the loader arm itself so factory delivered this 120r loader is going to offer a single point hydraulic connector this is going to bring us more in line with the competition the competition has been doing this for a little bit on some of their machines but this is going to offer a one-point connection so i can take my hydraulics and that loader off in a little bit easier step um they've they've integrated a nice little grab handle right here so i can mount that uh single point connector on when it's when it's off so it keeps it nice and tucked in and out of the way um another big change that you're gonna see in this is how the lines are routed so before and previous generation 1025rs you're going to have the hydraulic connectors down here kind of by the foot pedals and so i can quick disconnect those easy in and easy out now um you know the hydraulic lines are going to come up to that single point connector kind of a disadvantage and an advantage obviously that single point is going to be great for taking off that loader it can obviously be ordered without this uh connector so for example if i wanted to put a front mount snow blower on the front of this or or an angle blade that i have use a front hitch with those kind of things um obviously we're going to need to connect into hydraulic ports and it makes it a little difficult with this single point connector so that would be maybe one of the little disadvantages to it for most of my customer base this is going to be a marked improvement over the last generation 1025rs i noticed something a little bit different than i wasn't expecting and maybe i can get your help in the comments below so this came with looks to be with a cast steel bucket on the back that is different than previous generations on the 260b backhoes so if you've got some information about that we'd love to hear it if we've got some more we'll post some information in the comments below so looks like another improvement that i wasn't necessarily expecting thank you john deere we always love improvements we also know of about a new change coming down the pipeline it's going to be the 120 e loader which is going to replace the one the d120 loader that we had in previous generations the one nice thing is is again with that fixed loader you're gonna have a quick detach 49 inch material bucket which is a nice improvement over last year's where that front bucket was actually a fixed bucket that was uh bolted on this bucket will actually be quick removable a little bit narrower than this one but a little bit more affordable as well let's talk about what stayed the same over the model year so you're obviously still going to have the same nomenclature on the side of the loader so this is that 120r loader that's the same as previous years obviously i talked about the single point connector is going to come factory optioned on there so that's a nice change but for the most part the loader arm looks almost identical the engine still the same great great engine in there no issues for the most part the driver's compartment and cockpit has stayed mostly the same uh as will as we mentioned before this seat is actually only a couple of years old but it is that cut and so seat with the embroidered john deere patch so that's going to have that's going to stay the same as well we still have the nice tilt steering wheel that big change again with the park brake coming off of the the actual accessory panel in front of us that has changed some other things that have stayed the same um you've got the hi-lo transmission in there uh we've got still the selector lever for the height adjustment on our mid-mount mower deck um the mid-mount pto still comes standard on both the 1025-r and the 1023e as well as a rear rear pto fuel fuel capacity hasn't changed that's going to be still that same 5.5 gallons for the most part again that backhoe hasn't changed except for maybe that bucket like we talked about i'm going around on the right side of the tractor the three-point connections is all going to be the same so again just marked little improvements that kind of take the 1025r up to that next level a premium tractor with premium offerings i'll tell you i'm really excited about these new product improvements to the one series lineup it's always a really nice thing as a sales guy to see these kind of upgrades and changes for our customers you know make their life a little bit easier we also appreciate you
