Linus Office Upgrade - MKBHD Edition

[Music] so why as the staff is doing an office makeover okay that's that's a great idea it also seems like an incredible opportunity for a prank so since Linus and I are in this battle to see who can get to ten million subscribers first between us I think it would be a pretty great prank if the new office makeover had a bit of a mkbhd theme just saying that would pretty great if you're looking for it's not that my current office is bad it's just that I never properly actually got a chance to unpack into it so there's still bins in my office months later that were just thrown together back when I was unceremoniously booted out of my old one and I just haven't even had a chance to go through like no offense I know okay but I think we just built water cooling loop I've got like that okay like do you know how to not bring this yeah show me the fragile part no I can just show you the parts that I'm allowed to touch because that will mean that I won't ruin it if I'm allowed to touch the edges and I can put it on a box like this and not put anything on top then we're good sure see okay I still need okay I mean okay I think the capacitors are fragile there's this weird kind of like hump in the back of it that I kind of trip on when I'm trying to get up to the window to close the blinds there's only a single Ethernet jack instead of two so I have to have I have to share a single ten gigabit connection from my workstation and for my test bench there isn't really anywhere to put a test bench I really miss my old window TV I hate the color actually I hate the color okay all right see I'm okay all right forget it okay yeah okay you're not allowed to come back in your office for a few days at all for a week what would you mean a few days well we need time to work on it and you're not allowed to see it until it's done what's clearance here everything out okay so you touch the fashion all the fragile okay hahaha that's not fragile we should probably move the monitor off the desk desk that would be the smart solution oh how do I stop the UPS from beeping at us you're asking the wrong person we'll just let it beep until it dies okay enough clearance yeah that's good we're just I don't know why he has things like used earplugs just like sitting in here that's really gross would you like to remove the toilet paper we shall find some better window solutions it's like a swale to aim w bag i wonder how long this is been sitting here it's french fries inside okay um so I think the back end of this is what's really heavy so as long as you can get your hand in the back hey ready and shadows just make sure that monitor down to backwards okay are we good yeah later okay alright so we're ready to paint this walls gonna be all black I think we're painting this part too cuz that would be weird if it was white I think uh yeah I agree okay and then those three walls are white well don't anyway perfect yeah hopefully it's the same way we got these awesome IMAX are these IMAX are their Apple stuff okay they're our next everything from Apple is an iMac to me and don't worry they're dead they don't work we got them from Brian the electrician from tech quarters you probably saw he has tons of dead stuff so what we're gonna do is actually replace the glass here with a mirror we're gonna have a mech where which is kind of cool and then this one we're gonna replace with pegboard so then can stick little notes and stuff we're gonna use these little key caps as the tax that you can put on I don't know it'll look better than I'm explaining hopefully tell me what's a free geek or Jadus I shouldn't say we Dennis what's free keeping a pot and got all this other Apple stuff that's dead that we're gonna try to upcycle but we don't really have any good ideas right now we have ideas but none of them are like stand out and then we have a bunch of these things I don't know what these are Mac minis are those computers I agree my 2009 they were 2 Duo routers but I saw on Pinterest some people use these as like tissue paper dispensers I don't know we'd have to figure out how to take it apart and like put tissues in here oh yeah did you like my cat idea yeah you should drop it what do you back you like my cat toys so you put that on the wall all right so I think we're gonna get started with the max and trying to dismantle those right key word trying yeah trying you might need to get some help thank you okay so what did this tutorial say what do we have to do apparently this glass part just comes out because it's magnetized and then underneath is where all the screws are for attaching the hardware to the frame okay so I don't actually know how these work you just clamp it on okay oh okay what are those stars I'm sure there's probably a proper name for these but these are stars to really look like stars yeah what is it stuck on I don't know oh there's a screw underneath this way okay oh yeah that was the first step I remember now oh look at that okay there's our frame I'm gonna try something maybe this is section two worth the try yeah no okay we know Apple's secret now yeah so when you got hired to do bookkeeping did you ever think you'd be taking apart wrecks no for many reasons only one of which is the fact that I was hired for bookkeeping and the other part being that I didn't think there would be max work feels really weird to be just like snipping all these cables off yeah there we go that's the inside of whatever Mac thingy this was is this an eye back - yeah not anymore it's gonna be a length now do you know how soon thank you have you made underwear before I don't wanna say anything but no I haven't I want to make some LTT underwear out of the boxer material that they have but like female LTTE underwear okay gotcha it looks doable yeah but seriously you should help ltte wing because that will mean seeing marques in ltte underwear who doesn't want that come on maybe I'll send in my female and more hair that I paid I just haven't had time so far I'm really glad we don't have to put all these back together no kidding can you imagine actually taking apart a computer I'm putting it back together I can't okay if it was a PC I think I'd stand a chance but like these non-standard ones yeah there's ah this went way smoother than I was expecting you had high hopes for us Yvonne ah so we got it tissue box we got our mirror our pegboard eyelash a we got our lab suite I think we're making some real girls yeah so that I think what we need to do is cut these things to make our little coasters and our plant yeah well attempt to cut them and see what happens and see what's inside I think that's a good plan okay Alex can we cut these there you go why thank you thank you hey now we know what's in here Yvonne what is it lots of metal oh hey could be like a pencil holder almost I want to make this a pencil holder so ideally I'm cutting a square here and a square here without damaging the Bob - of all yes okay so we got the tissue box got the pencil holders I got the lamp I think we are in some extra goodies I think we're ready to start putting things in the office what do you think should we go see if it's yeah I don't paint her out of the room but didn't see the room yet okay thanks all right well much better than the bright blue that's for sure okay visualizing stuff and that's a really big piece oh I'm not looking for it's missing this thing we can do it after or after we empty it are we just gonna start sliding we do have to lift this over the ledge though sorry we do have to lift this onto the ledge that's true you know what my hand I'm not gonna say no this is gonna go in the corner facing the door on the ledge and then then the small piece goes beside it clear we are strong capable women and the total strength is accepting Heflin yes ready three two one awesome thanks guys thank you think there's any chance you want to lift this desk back into the corners of the furniture can we go down yep thank you guys so much yes thank you it is chaos in here yeah I agree we have a start to your possibly cat clock Oh my cat clock yay one of my favorite things is actually this lamp here I like how it turned out oh that turned out great so we can it's wall mountable or we can stick it on the desk once it's over there Oh with my awesome conservators added a little divider in those okay cool and they're cork oranges behind you Oh oops yeah so far okay yeah I think we need to put another layer on this one still it's pretty neat so I think I'm gonna build a couple more drawers so we can put that together we still have the desk that we need to put in Mattias is gonna help us with that tomorrow but I think we're a couple of days I think we're still a couple days away from your being done and we haven't even started organizing minuses stuff yet his desk is still a mess and we still have all of the stuff out in the hallway down over there that we need to deal with okay we might be more than a couple days away from being done yeah anyway we'll do our best yeah okay so we had this great idea of trolling Linus so when he comes into his office we did up his door like the Lambo he's gonna think that we decided to do all the things he likes and then he's gonna open it up and yes he's gonna think it's Linus themed but when he comes in its gonna be mkbhd and the Apple themed some of the other stuff we've done so far is we've figured out a plan for this waltz we're gonna be hanging a bunch of pictures we have our iMac ready to go we've got the mirror here we just need to put it together and our cork board is done so I think what we're gonna do is I'm gonna put the subscriber count' and update that program so we can see how we're doing and then for that one we actually decided to use the frame because we don't need it for that for a picture at some point in time YouTube sent this to us and I found it in minuses stuff and we're gonna put it inside and now we have an iMac picture frame cool eh we've got our planters kind of go in and done and then we're actually you can see the desk is starting to go in right now Matias is working on that for us cable mod sent us a bunch of LED strips and we're gonna put them behind his desk so that it glows really nice and we can change the color when he's filming we got a bunch of little organizers for inside so now he's got his cable tie zip ties thermal compound paper toilet paper for some reason I don't know so believe it or not this is actually organized right now this was olive lunch stuff from his office I've put it in two piles for him to tell me whether it should go back in his office or if it's supposed to go back into inventory so this is on hold right now this desk is not gonna go back into his office because we're building the new one and yeah I feel like we're we're making progress it's just slow [Music] the tables in okay that looks pretty good we have to do a few paint touch-ups but that's okay and it has amazing RGB nice Oh so we're gonna put up the stuff on the wall I've already loaded some of the clothes in here you can see we got some of the nice merch from our friends at mkbhd so today we're gonna put all of this stuff up on the wall and we're gonna take the piles from outside and get them all sorted and back in here in their bins Janice did another IKEA run so we've got a bunch more organizers some more bins she even got a little stool for a Linus to reach the top there but I was testing it out just now and I think it's still a little short I like I'm almost the same height and I still can't reach in here so we're gonna have to find a bigger stool for him okay we finished our iMac mirror Janice is going to do the official peel nice that looks that looks very good I'm sad it has no black frame but that's okay [Music] all right Janice we are done the wall finally it was really famous with it I think it looks really good me too yeah when you think of how his office used to be like just clutter everywhere and bright blue I think this is a big improvement for sure alright so I think we're going to start on the other wall so it's gonna move stuff out of the way oh look at all this storage I'm start saying ah this is great I think the design turned out really cool really neat a lot of high-tech pieces to it naturally and just enough reminders about Apple which as we all know is is one of his favorite companies to you know keep them you know pretty happy in there I think it's great I think line this is gonna love it I mean I don't think there's any way he doesn't love it we all know how much he loves Apple the merch was a nice touch so yeah I think he's gonna have a good time in that office wow we are off to a good start aren't we you guys really didn't do a great job of the paint what for oh well that explains it okay I'm hoping for the best here wow this looks like a completely different room now I love it well that's nice my my signed Jersey is finally up I know I think it's come with you through three offices yeah has never been no we never managed to put that up before that is fantastic so these are what are these Apple TVs or why families are like Wi-Fi things or something aren't they I don't know what they were but we cut them with a bandsaw and made them little decorative things where'd you find this thing uh so this outside frame is actually that's a bezel okay yes from that back here and then this picture frame or this picture was from YouTube yeah no this it has a bunch of quotes from from our channel it starts with for someone with disabilities this is pretty dope yes I took to mean that someone at YouTube figures I'm differently abled no actually that it was from our video on the xbox adaptive controller just out of context it kind of doesn't come across very well this is it okay okay this is that could be attached to the wall or yeah okay yeah but these are a little tuck well I said you do much an apple crap in my office well why don't you actually read someone's gonna read it all very cute I see hmm it's a subscriber counter wonderful so mkbhd is out ahead of us by about a hundred and ninety thousand subscribers thank you now I have a daily reminder it's wonderful I love the clock though that is the cutest thing I have ever seen it's it's a cat clock but it's more Apple stuff in my office great track of time apparently yeah that's not the right time that's okay that's a minor detail wait what's with the Tesla logo is this just more trolling me like this is mkbhd stuff am I gonna what the hell is this how much money did I spend on this actually you you didn't buy it their team sent to do I'm sure their team did wow thanks Marquez that's a very jet you couldn't even send my size they did it over stop they sent women's sizes over women sizes alright so this is the merch yeah yeah we got with we realize though that we actually very emasculated right now we accidentally bought the one that was one step instead of two so I don't think you can reach in there even with the stool I can arrange oh it's more mkbhd crap I was like are we working on beanies you know it's hard to be mad because I absolutely love the office but you guys have gone you've gone deep you've gone right tonight you can come right to the core with the with the mkbhd trolling what else we got here so the idea here was that it was going to be storage for your workbench stuff got it so that it's not it'll just all over the place yeah exactly oh this is great my very own genuine Windex okay so this is a bit of an inside joke but it took me about two and a half years to get a bottle of Windex into this building I kept asking for Windex till I clean something and people kept coming back with holistic garbage glass cleaner that doesn't work now I have my very own Windex thank you very much I appreciate that so we did try to put as much of your stuff that was in here back mm-hmm but we did clear out the garbage like you had so many ketchup packs we're still good this is great is this just exactly the same design as my old a while it doesn't feel as strong as my old table um if you need we can put another like under it okay cool that's good to know all this is cool all my pens go in these little these these are their Wi-Fi dad these are their access point yeah yeah okay cool I never I never had an air look I used a dremel for the first time and I cut these little holes out and everything you did a great job do you this is the cutest toilet paper dispenser that has ever existed ever though it's made of Mac minis supposed to be for tissues but we didn't have a tissue box so you got this though this might be the centerpiece that is freakin awesome an iMac why is there so much Apple stuff in here you haven't figured it out yet still oh because the whole thing is mkbhd themed I see is that what I have a matte black wall yeah I see I get it all right thank you you're both fired you can't
