most of my friends who have tried this cried I don't think I had any idea what I was getting myself into when abyss reached out offering to send me the world's highest resolution headphones I was like okay yeah sure send him over all like chuck them on my head and try them out or whatever and then oh no no no no I got not one not two not three not five but six boxes they sent over the ultimate listening experience and this guy DMS to actually show me how the whole thing freakin works which apparently involves turning on the heater in the warehouse because it doesn't like work if it's cold the link below to learn more [Music] so this is the stack Zilla yes or shelf system what are you trying to sell me today here because so far you've got special fancy racks that hold a hundred X the weight that you would conceivably want to put in them yes that sounds dangerously like audiophile to me oh no there's a point so this is about as crazy as somebody could go for a set up of these headphones you could totally make it work with like half the gear but this is if you want to go with the most absolutely insane setup you could possibly think of and cover every base okay so that's the stack Zilla now this is a more fancy-pants deck than I've ever seen it has an HDMI connection labeled I squared s what the devil is that for it is a whole bunch of things it would take a long time to explain but the really really short version of this is that it's an R to R deck there's basically two types of tax delta-sigma an R 2 R and R 2 R the nice ones so what is R 2 R R 2 R is essentially a different architecture and a lot of people praised it for being more resolving in its high frequencies and less prone to quantization noise so before we go any further how much is this I want to say that's a few thousand yeah the DAC is 3,400 now the big how much is this gonna cost when we're done it's a lot cheaper than orpheus but the point is oh it's not a selling point but cheaper than Orpheus that's like saying oh oh oh well you know this car is cheaper that it Bugatti like you're right I mean you know tell me about this insane piece this has to be an amp look help that isn't he that is a six watt per channel Class A amplifier that 11 audio made and it is made specifically for a business flagship headphone here's your what this is RCA yeah RCA inputs that is our power delivery we need seven pins for power delivery yeah you can go IEC but they this is the better way to do it here's the interesting thing about this six watts per channel right there are two separate amps inside that it's two monoblocks there is no way at all whatsoever that you can get crosstalk or interference between the amps no crosstalk I was really about crosstalk I know you seemed really concerned I need to do is get my sweater off it's a little bit warm in here at this store calm that is the big old power supply for our amp got it so the amp doesn't even include any kind of it does you can plug an IEC in there and actually I use that same thing at home with an IEC but if you really want to crank it to 11 yeah then look I apologize to the very nice people who sent all this stuff for this I'm I still remain very skeptical is this a special power squid no or power brick no it's just better to be prepared there's an iPad in I got another iPad here though okay so this one I actually made a playlist on bi-directional noise containment oh my gosh you look so mad that's palatable next thing you're gonna be telling me there danceable so we've also got just a stand for the headphones yeah and this appears to be a cable presumably for the headphones yep it is mini XLR okay is this a locking nose connector for RCA honestly those are really convenient okay that's kind of neat most of my friends who have tried this cried okay the first time I'm not gonna cry there's three pairs of headphones here I was only expecting Diana's but you tell me that these aren't even the same thing so one of these is Diana version two which is like their cheapest thing okay then there's diana phi which is like they're really nice than one got it and then there's 1266 a b12 66 which is like the big monster let's go straight for the money shot so there isn't really a overall best out of all of them some would say that's this one the 1266 but in reality they all resolve somewhat similarly but they're different sounds for different people and obviously different use cases got it like this one I wouldn't take to the grocery store yeah I probably wouldn't wear this to the grocery store either but it looks great in my living room well there's pads office and it doesn't look any dumber than air pods I guess so I didn't have a good good I don't have a good thing for that everything about this is designed to last your entire lifetime that's why it's a strange shape so there's some ear cuffs in here we get bleed when these are our big ol thick pads you can put them pretty much at any angle you want because they magnetize on it's a nice strong magnet well I would consider that to be reasonably comfortable at this point if you bought every single thing in this room yeah you've probably spend around thirty four thousand dollars hopefully like five seconds of this [Music] Wow I actually like I don't I don't need it as loud mm-hmm a dynamic range we need yeah all right here's another thing I'm just gonna keep going through these yeah that was very tight yes it is this is this is will not even opens music but it's like some crazy sounds you could easily just be sitting in a bar yeah they're so open it sounds more real than real it's very natural yeah so in like the imaging yeah it's just it's perfect yeah and that's the thing it's perfect oh face is so tight oh yeah that's flat down to like seven Hertz like you can almost feel it in your chest even though it's just here I could find something with bass here see in almost every video that I did about headphones way back when I used to make videos about headphones I would complain about bass and it got to the point where I think a lot of our viewers thought I didn't like bass I do it just has to be done right this is about as right as I could possibly about it they're not comfortable no offense to the abyss guys I feel like a science experiment I wear the flies a lot more this is amazing like this yeah I have used these before yeah $100 amps yeah this makes like what if you look them up to an o2 or something you could these like power you need something about they're cheap things with power but this is like you know we talked about ultimate system as the altie system it is trust me it's better this way so how much are the headphones themselves then you want them all three prices just this one that one for now five grand five grand okay why don't we step down all right you want to go the middle note okay so this is a lot more conventional alright cool thing about headphone shape wow these are really like yeah so this can flex a little bit too but notice these do have the sliders on the side there's a note about that but when you move it yeah there's no pins there's no Springs in there those are permanent magnets that adjustment mechanism will always hold I'll be a hundred years old and that'll still be the same are these ones a little easier to drive a little bit so but here's why that driver is very similar to this yeah the speakers are obviously closer to your ears and because of that you get a much more intimate vocal sound so the mid-range is a little bit more full on this in comparison and it feels more like I'm wearing headphones this is more speaker like got it but resolution wise they're on the same sound brain yeah there's no distortion to the vocals it's almost like they're on a completely sick if I had a multi if I had a multimode fiber connection mhm it's like they're on separate yeah light wavelengths like it's because it's so fast okay this is the Basya song I have on the entire thing if anything ever messes with vocals it to this and I've never Mabel to get to do it on that yeah so here we've got a female vocalist yeah and a whole bunch of just everything in this mix is warm yeah and there are songs I've listened to that there's nothing but warmth and ever you can still hear everything it's almost like the lower the note the deeper it goes into your body yeah so this is the original master that's titled whole shtick right yeah see this is one of the reasons that I actually have not heavily invested into audiophile gear because it really makes me not enjoy my trashy pop music as much as I usually do I've had that problem a couple times but I'm not the kind of person who's like yeah you know wow the mastering on this song is like so great right but that's not sounding the thing is so soft you're like there's so much music that I enjoy whether it's mastered well or not so that was the fight these are a thousand bucks less than that okay so these are for rent and these are a thousand dollars less than them okay so those are three grand yeah hit me with the second-to-last bass heavy one we tried this is a more pleasing sound to me yeah it's more relaxed it's not quite as analytical just as fast oh yeah what's the difference in the driver tech then it's got slightly less resolution than these not a lot but these are going to perform a little bit differently unlike stuff like decay and yeah the tuning was meant to be a little bit more a little more relaxed but they want to go for more relaxed but just as much detail right cuz it's hard to have a ton of detail without it being a little fatiguing to listen to that's exactly it with that said I didn't at least in my you know 10 15 minutes find those fatiguing in the same way that I do some yeah superb analytical have that's the difference between using it on this and using it on something a lot cheaper type hour they don't sound as good as the top-tier ones there are owed a two thousand dollars less but they sound better than any other headphones that I've ever tried so it's like if I had to say which is the best headphone definitely this has been more comfortable yeah well this is that's a lot easier to daily drive but that to me is like it's almost like a different class of product it's a speaker you strapped to your head this is I'm out and have leg mounting bracket yeah this is like on a sit down yeah out-of-body experience or something yeah you know what though I feel if we want full effect here I should probably put those back on sounds so good it's really lucky of the songs not particularly well mastered this is the you know why I'm into this stuff yeah it's because when you find something really good you're not listening at the gear you're just listening to the music yeah there's nothing between you and the music well what I can say is that when I'm listening to my music instead of your music I completely forget that I'm wearing you know a shelf bracket all right head like I didn't I didn't notice it anymore at all it's still like it's heavy but it didn't bother me in any way comparatively speaking is I find it a lot easier to wear the dials yeah during the day but there are times where I sit down and I'm like alright this is gonna be an emotional one these are a totally different listening experience even compared to the their mid-level products it's funny that you say that people like the cheapest one better I mean it's definitely not because it sounds better it's just it's way more comfortable honestly I was my expectations were pretty low because you know I've seen a lot of audio file stuff that's like yeah it's that's nice but like where's the bang for the buck argument at least here to be clear we're talking about 3,000 to 5,000 dollars but I think this is a lot more fair than a lot of the crazy stuff out there though yes it's about you know the context for it because I mean they're not just going for this sounds crazy whatever they're literally like the screw thing they're building something's gonna last literally forever was it just sounds if you use Wi-Fi a lot on your smart phone why are you paying for a fixed monthly data plan stop paying for day that you don't use whiffed ting take a look at how much you can save lifting at their calculator at Linna staying calm they've got nationwide LTE coverage using both t-mobile and Sprint networks they will never block throttle or interfere with your online access and with ting there's no contracts so you can try take out for a month with no strings attached their customer support is award-winning and you will talk to people not robots and you can reach out however you want phone chat email and even through ting
