wealth is not merely Financial but it's also having a rich full life [Music] I have lived many types of Lifestyles and rode the financial roller coaster of highs and lows through my life experiences I can say that living in a big house versus a tiny house didn't increase my standard of living using expensive specialty hair products to make my hair thick didn't add any more volume [Music] enjoying my coffee at a refurbished kitchen table instead of a high-end dining set didn't diminish the flavor of the coffee one bit [Music] if none of these upgrades actually increased my happiness then there must be more to being rich than simply money foreign what does it mean to be rich some say it's having a lot of money in the bank While others Define wealth as living a meaningful life in a world where we're constantly bombarded with messages about consumerism and the need to accumulate more stuff adopting minimalist habits can be a powerful way to create a rich full life in addition to being financially secure [Music] here are a few of the minimalist money habits that help me live a rich full life both in experiences and financially [Music] minimalism is about focusing on what's truly important and letting go of the rest when I embraced a simpler lifestyle I naturally spent less time and money on material possessions and I had more time to focus on things that matter like spending time with family pursuing Hobbies or working toward goals a few of my favorite activities are simple and cost very little like camping enjoying nature and cooking delicious meals at home to enjoy with my family like this yummy quiche which I will leave the recipe below the cheaper my Pleasures the Richer I became my joy and my bank account both grow [Music] the older wiser Generations that came before me would always say live below your means as a kid I didn't know what that meant but as my family grew in my 20s I quickly learned that if my household bills equaled more than our income we quickly found ourselves in financial trouble for example if our household brings in three thousand dollars a month in income but our expenses are thirty five hundred we are living above what our income is take it from personal experience this is an incredibly stressful situation that is very difficult to overcome by cutting our expenses even by a little bit and raising our income that would give us the cushion we need and now we are living below our means instead of panicking at the end of every month we would now have extra money [Music] the best investment you can make is in yourself [Music] making investing a priority for both my money and my time shapes my future [Music] I invest in myself every day whether it's on my health or learning something new because I'm worth investing time and energy into to better myself [Music] the more I invest into myself the more I grow as a person self-improvement is an investment that grows over a lifetime it can never be diminished or be taken away [Music] I was a little late on seeing the importance of investing my money I thought that simply putting a little extra into my savings account was good enough [Music] until I realized that savings accounts don't grow when I began investing a minimum of 15 percent of all of my income the compound interest on that 15 percent is what makes that money grow over time Building Wealth [Music] fifteen percent is not very much I could have easily spent that on a new outfit or eating out a couple of times in the month [Music] but then that money would simply be gone [Music] there is no one way to spend money because money is very personal therefore it should be viewed as something to support each of our unique Lifestyles goals and values I have other videos on things that I don't spend money on there are times when cutting expenses is necessary but if I were to only cut things out of my life I would start to feel deprived money goes both ways the things we choose not to buy and the areas we choose to spend money in [Music] so where do I spend my money I spend my money on the things I love not the things I like but the things I love using my money as a tool that enhances my life I love travel and experiences especially if those experiences are with my family [Music] I happily spend money on things that I love that enhance my life when I spend money on the things I love it's easy to eliminate spending on the things I don't love [Music] each of us loves what we Love Therefore how we spend money should be catered to reflect our passions in life [Music] thank you when I'm not grateful my wanting is a bottomless pit no matter how much I have I simply am never satisfied gratitude turns what I have into enough and who I am into enough [Music] gratitude works miracles in all areas of my life when I appreciate my qualities and strengths I don't feel lacking I love myself just as I am [Music] when I acknowledge the possessions I do have in my life in abundance a home clothes and food I don't feel the urge to buy more than I need [Music] as I move through my day and appreciate all of the beauty around me and the love in my life I feel abundant and wealthy [Music] gratitude fills my emotional bucket making it so that I don't have a desire to look outside of myself or happiness [Music] living a rich full life filled with happiness and joy and abundance it's a beautiful gift [Music] true thanks for watching today I really appreciate your support I invite you to please click subscribe and become part of our mindful Community have a beautiful day my friends
