Minecraft's Platinum Trophy TESTED My PATIENCE!

minecraft is the most popular game in the world with over 280 million copies sold worldwide it's no wonder the game is so popular with its creative map sharing and survival modes i myself have purchased this game four times what and i have not yet earned the platinum trophy until now since i've played minecraft many times before here are the trophies i've already earned and here are the ones i still need to get minecraft only requires the base game trophies for the platinum we don't need trophies from the 16 expansions at least not for this video the first step to platinum minecraft is exploring and gathering supplies i created a new world and set the seed to platinum i very quickly found a village nearby which was important for this trophy right here but that would be for later so i set up base in one of the houses here and immediately went digging for diamonds i promise you i was having so much fun strip mining and finally found some diamonds oh and some lapis which was nice i kept exploring and for some reason found this guy but of course he had nothing useful so i just left him eventually i found these creepy blue blocks that were very dark and i had no clue about obviously i did the smart thing which was to keep following them and found what i now know is an ancient city i looted the place until nothing was left and honestly felt creeped out by these candles right here with a full inventory of loot it was now time to knock out some trophies okay so this should be an easy trophy right here i made some bricks i did that by smelting some clay which is found by sand i come over here and i go to craftable i should be able to find flower pots and i only need to make one and then place that one down and that should be an easy trophy do this right here and just place it down there we go pot planter okay so for this trophy i need to ride a pig with a saddle and have it get hurt from fall damage so i see some pigs here we just need to take some fall damage i think uh i have to make a hole or something so we'll do that real quick all right so i made this little 3x2 hole i think you take fall damage from this height i'm not exactly sure but i'm gonna test it out i'm gonna give the saddle to the pig right here and then i need it to go that way i know there's a way to make it go a certain direction it is definitely not going the direction that i need it to go i think i need like carrots and a stick or something okay so i looked it up real quick carrot on a stick is what i need right here so i made a carrot on a stick now i just oh look he's already following me he goes where i point the stick to which is pretty cool that's a pretty cool mechanic it's right here okay so now if we fall in here we should be able to get this trophy when pigs fly there we go now this uh this pig's gonna be trapped in here too i'm just gonna leave him in here so i should be able to get a pretty quick and easy trophy here i have some iron blocks which i just uh got those by just mining a bunch of iron and turning it into blocks really was just to save inventory space and then i saw this trophy right here if i make an iron golem which i start by doing this oh not this start by doing this right here break this and then i also need to put a carved pumpkin on top a regular pumpkin won't work so if i put this regular pumpkin here oh it does work okay never mind i thought i had to carve the pumpkin i looked it up and i said i have to carve it but that's uh that's pretty cool so we got another trophy done i believe that only leaves nine left okay so there's a trophy to acquire 30 emeralds by trading or by mining so i found this villager here who wants carrots and i have some carrots here and i think i stole it from one of their chests honestly then i have some bone meal in minecraft using bone meal on any crop makes it grow super fast which is what i did for these carrots okay so one more trade is gonna get this farmer up to level two and that unlocks six pumpkins for one emerald i don't know how many pumpkins i have but um i might have to go back to the carrot method honestly but six pumpkins is much less of maybe that's the way to go i think i'll go that way all right so i've come back to trade with this farmer so i'm gonna give him some carrots and as many as i can give him all these carrots we're gonna give him some pumpkins and he still hasn't leveled up oh acquire 30 emeralds by trading with villagers okay i mean i'm only at 20 but it must have counted from my other files but there we go the haggler so that's perfect i don't even need to get to 30. all right so for this next trophy we need to travel in one direction 500 meters so one block is one meter in this game so we set up 500 meters worth of railings here and i put one redstone railing at the top and i should be able to put this button right here and just press it and go and hopefully we get enough speed to make it through here i didn't really count how many blocks i went so i initially started this coming from the other direction here and then i realized there's a huge mountain at the end of this i should probably go the other way i put down some redstone uh railings along the way like i said like i mentioned i should be able to get the trophy here shortly this is like 520 railings at a 500 just to be safe and there we go right at the end alright so this next trophy has been causing me a lot of heartache i've already failed at it several times and it's actually not even my fault that i've been failing at it it's because of an update made into minecraft where mobs despawn a little early so the skeletons have been despawning much quicker than me getting away 50 meters by the way there are a lot of mobs here and because of that update i've been having a lot of trouble with getting a skeleton stuck in here me moving 50 meters away and then shooting it so i came up with a plan you might be asking why that's there that's because we're gonna have a friend help us first i need to trap another skeleton let me do that first of all trapping a skeleton is not easy i had to i've been struggling to do this i've done it three times already and they kept despawning and i realized you know what i'm changing up my plan by the way i want the skeleton to hurt itself a little bit uh from me from it shooting my shield just so i can weaken it down a little bit make it a little easier on myself so i'm gonna have it follow me in here i'm a little closer and now i'm going to join split screen there we go so player 2 is right there right above the skeleton i don't even care that the controller's dead as long as it doesn't mess me up it's still there okay so now i just have to hit my shots there we go sniper duel i can't believe i had to go to these lengths to get this trophy trust me i tried recording this part several times and these skeletons kept despawning so i really had to i had to go split screen okay so this trophy is definitely one of the harder ones or one of the ones that takes some more time to set up i found a zombie villager right here i trapped him in some dirt and coincidentally was right next to this window so i can keep an eye on him and i cover the top so that he doesn't burn in the sun i hope that works so now other mobs should be dying which is perfect he's covered so now i need to make a potion of weakness a splash potion of weakness to be exact and we do that like this so to make a splash potion of weakness first you have to get some blaze powder and of course i went to another already so i have that and then you put some water here some water bottles and that's really easy you craft that with some glass fill it with water and then i need a fermented spider eye you get this with a mushroom and a spider eye and i think one piece of sugar so now i wait for the potions to brew i just came to check if my villager was still there he is still there which is perfect all right so i've got my potions of weakness he won't just take it though so i need to add one piece of gunpowder here and that'll make it into splash potions of weakness perfect so now i have my splash potions of weakness i'll take these and i just need to throw one at him and then feed him a golden apple i found these just exploring so throw this at him and should take this oh wait do i have to i wonder if i have to like give it to him this way take this oh i don't even need to wait for him to heal perfect i thought i would have to wait five minutes so now that i gave him that golden apple the healing process takes about four to five minutes so for this upcoming trophy right here we have to tame an ocelot or actually gain the trust of an ocelot it took a little while to find i've been searching for probably an hour and a half two hours or so and then i actually left i quit the game once i found an ocelot because it took so long to find and i didn't want to mess this up so now that i'm ready to record we are here this is an ocelot usually they run away from you which is doing right now i thought it would like me if i had a fish in my hand there it goes it's coming closer to me so i'm gonna feed it okay that didn't feed it you you can't really you can't run at it or i've heard you can't run out of it i looked it up it's not taking the fish do i have to cook it okay so i looked it up and you don't have to cook it there we go i only took one they told me to get 20. no that's actually the first one like no joke that wasn't planned that took one fish i had 13 thinking okay i should be good but i was a little bit worried i can't lie a little bit worried that that wouldn't work okay for this next trophy we need to place 1728 cobblestone in one chest i did the math that is 27 slots of 64. uh if you don't believe me 1728 divided by 64. go ahead and get it you'll get 27 so if i put if i put this little stack right here in the chest there we go chest full of cobblestone all right so it is time for the final two trophies and that's to enter the end and beat the game beat the dragon so we have our eyes of ender here and uh we just have to follow where it's leading us head that way and find the stronghold and to the end i'm saying a bunch of things that some people may not understand so i might have to go over that real quick for those that don't know minecraft has a final boss the ender dragon when you beat him the credits roll there are tougher bosses in minecraft than the ender dragon but this is technically the final boss if you will let's keep going all right so i made it to the portal and i'm smiling because it took me so long to find this place right i put the torch on top come up i look at the portal you need to fill each of these with an iron vendor and as you can see there are 12. i only have 11. isn't this great and i didn't bring blaze powder with me i do have one more eye vendor though or ender pro so at least i have that already but i need to leave okay we are back now with 12 eyes of ender so now i just add them in here like so eyes are not taking it i can't crouch and do this oh i did not know you can't crouch okay so you just add them in here like so i'm just trying i just wasted bruh i accidentally clicked one twice and it just wasted it oh my god i just took back-to-back elves within five minutes okay we are back again i have the eye of ender now now i have it and be real careful with it i can't just press l2 anywhere it has to be on that block right there there we go let's go fight the dragon and as soon as we enter here we should be getting a trophy and uh i just wanna make sure i'm ready i'm gonna fight with the sword i have my bow oh this is my gear by the way oh my goodness where's it at sorry about that this is my gear by the way i'm definitely all kitted out i enchanted everything everything here i had to get to level 30 for everything so everything's pretty good even the bow is pretty good i have plenty of arrows i have a water bucket have two enchanted apples some food a golden apple some potions of regeneration which i'm gonna leave right here actually some blocks and i think that's all i need it really is just the bow and sword mainly the bow that i'm gonna use i'm pretty sure i've got some blocks in case i don't spawn right in the middle of the island i've got a bed in case i want to blow up the dragon let's go ahead and do this and let's watch this trophy pop the end okay so i was afraid of this and i really wanted the pearl in case i spawned like this but i need to i need to make my way over to the main part of the island luckily um the only things here are the actual dragon itself and enderman now i had an ender pearl i was gonna teleport to the middle but i you know i can't so i'm just gonna build this over here i do have feather falling on my boots so if i do fall i don't get hurt which is nice okay so now that i'm in the middle part of the island here uh what we have to do is we have to target each of these pillars here and i have to shoot these little floating things to make a long story short these towers have crystals that heal the dragon i was having trouble shooting them so i built up to each tower to destroy the crystal a couple times i fell off but eventually i got every crystal destroyed it took me about 20 25 minutes or so so i'm speeding this up alright this should be the last one here there we go and let me just double check yep so now i can start fighting the dragon for real and he won't heal back up thankfully this was taking forever bow and arrow does a lot of damage oh vanderman there we go look at that damage this is doing this is going good it's going good [Music] i got a trophy for collecting the dragon's breath of course we love getting trophies around here those are for the expansion packs which i'm not really worried about right now but you know we might as well get the trophy while we're here we are so close the next time he lands i should be able to kill him all right there they're right there come on go go go four more hits three more hits right there there we go man that's my first time ever beating the ender dragon too i've never done this never seen the credits roll in minecraft yo if i didn't get the boots with the feather falling there's no way i could have been able to do this whoa look at these levels i didn't get the trophy though where's my trophy do i have to jump through the better get my trophy once i jump through credits are rolling i can skip there we go the end and this is the bet i was using which is really like really close to the stronghold awarded all trophies there we go platinum trophy funny because i'm less than 50 of the total trophies in minecraft but man that was actually a struggle getting to the strongholds actually he's putting the ender pearls and fighting the dragon was a struggle this is not for me i'm not the best minecraft player if you enjoyed this video or any videos
