Mill Priest | Forged in the Barrens | Hearthstone

all right today i'm going to be playing a patreon deck from web dev sponge and this is a fatigue slash mill priest deck so we can force our opponents to have a big hand with king mukla and then we can make them overdraw with prize vendor and south sea scoundrel south sea scoundrel in particular is pretty good because we can sort of choose what makes the opponent overdraw and then leaning into the fatigue theme a bit more we've also got educated alex so we never run out of cards reliquary of souls helps with that a little tiny bit as well other than that we've just got pretty good priest stuff mostly removal soul mirrors xyrella hysteria uh condemn then we've got some value stuff like palm reading renew rey's dead so yeah we're a priest tech and we are trying to make our opponent run out of stuff all right we got the priest mirror this is definitely a matchup where milling my opponent's things can be useful but i don't think i'm keeping scoundrel off the mulligan all right one two three i really would like to make my opponent overdraw with prize vendor though don't believe me might regret not just playing this thing for tempo speaking of playing for tempo i think the apotheosis is pretty nice here eight cards in the opponent's hand i don't know i'm playing very passively here all right also the passive turn from the opponent can make them overdraw a card here sure we'll take one overdraw um i don't really have a good response to a light shower elemental i guess i'll give each player a raised ed and then we get to overdraw hysteria i don't think i'm too worried about board clears so probably not a great overdraw all right so i can go raise dad bryce vendor scoundrel here make my opponent overdraw two probably should play the raised dead that they know about [Music] my hand is too full brilliant my hand is full and apotheosis that's a pretty good one to overdraw i need two damage to kill that oh i have a condemn i was thinking man do i have to play xyrella no i can just play condemn i also can raise dead and make my opponent overdraw again sure so this card my opponent will get the copy of well i don't use the inquisitor very well and i'm gonna guess my opponent's probably better at the mirror than i am so i don't really want to give them a lucio because my opponent likely is better at using it than i am okay raise that's a pretty good overdraw i think i mean maybe not necessarily since i'm like filling their hand i probably should have just played mookla instead of scoundrel this turn path in hindsight that seems kind of silly but miklo does pretty much the same thing here i could play this probably want to try to corrupt it can i even corrupt this yeah i have a bunch of reliquary primes that i can corrupt it with let's go ahead and see what insight does for me ellucia i don't know how to use ellucia i guess i should trade this off so insight can try to draw the prime too alex that's a big elemental i can only deal five with cyrilla how close is yogg i still need to play four spells i don't really want to do anything here maybe that means i should play lucio then like i give my opponent an alec which is probably bad i would love to draw thrive in the shadows it gives me two spells to put into my yogg all right well i think i'm probably going to play hysteria here soul mirrors pretty good too i can play soul mirror when i'm ahead on board at some point but hysteria is a lot cheaper i mean i guess i probably go soul mirror here because it upgrades my uh oral tusks magic is not a toy pretty nice to have an eight power minion to run into that my opponent has nine cards in hand but i have no way to punish it unfortunately that's a heck of a card to randomly generate wow apotheosis is a good card where are we out on yog three more maybe i should have played a hysteria there it would have put me up into yogg range since i can desperate prayer whenever i want and i could have pushed 10 damage i don't know probably not good to use hysteria just for damage in this matchup i am most likely going to have to deal with a yoshiraj at some point i'll just go ahead and play this my opponent does have a lucia so i don't really want them to steal a reliquary prime at any point so i probably should just be playing them off the top okay it's pretty hard for me to deal with actually i mean i can kill it with some ero condemn that seems kinda terrible i've played both copies of apotheosis though so i guess the samurai's not that good also playing condemn sets up to be able to play yog which is nice could have maybe just played alec there i'd really like ellick to shuffle a raise dead or renew or even palm reading but i don't know i don't really need to shuffle cards i'm winning super hard and fatigue right now anyway let's just play yogg not one of the better outcomes wow pretty terrible actually could have shuffled a counter spell into my deck actually maybe that was the play my place takes vengeance what knowledge do the stars provide all right i clear with hysteria here right i am destiny um that's a big minion i kind of want to go like alec palm reading renews but i kind of also want to save the renews for xyrella maybe i just go like electron reading and don't play the renews psyche split i could have innervated hysteria here to kill this but then my penicill is a seven drop they can attack with at this point it looks like the hysteria might be pretty good especially since my opponent has two more skeletal dragon cards in their hand that just helps my fatigue win condition trade i can trade here and then heal this for eight ten even and then play xyrella to kill malygos plus this thing seems pretty appealing um shadow word runes a pretty consistent way to deal with yasharaj currently i have hysteria which my opponent can kind of just not play into i think i like it reading seems good i don't think i had to use my hero power here but i wasn't entirely sure your cry i don't think that really does much all right four mana five five i could just go reliquary prime enervate scoundrel and then trade here might be a bit of an over commitment into this board though my opponent could still have soul mirror uh they have a condemn left i've seen sumero double hysteria i'm just worried about soul mirror i guess which my opponent already wants to play because of proto-drake so i don't even know if i play another minion here let's just go palm reading zero pretty good i could thrive into psyche split that would be insane probably just take this though at least if my opponent's soul mirrors i'm pretty free to just play idol they don't get much off of it but it is powerful i i think i can read that as my opponent not having soul mirror soul mirror was really good that turn it was better than zoth for sure and they can't really expect that i would play into it any harder i think um i can just play shadow word rune here it kills my proto-drake but it kills three of my opponent's minions and then i can still make a 10-10 along with it i do have these to stall yasharaj have hysteria to potentially deal with it maybe i just hysteria here though like attack with this and then i don't know the attacks out of the hysteria look kind of bad but i guess maybe i just play a reliquary prime here killed my 4-4 wow those attacks were terrible oh yeah my opponent does still have an ellucia in their hand lucia condemn ray's dead and then a bunch of random oh and yashiraj so i'm pretty sure i know all of my opponent's real cards okay apotheosis on my idol minion seems like it could be pretty good i guess condemn helps clean up this board after it trades into reliquary prime which i am playing reliquary primer over idle because my opponent can't elusia idol oh wait i guess they can actually because they get my duck right so i probably am playing idle this turn time may pass very unfortunate dragon i guess i could have taken apophiosis off of palm reading last turn then i could have buffed something and shadow ruined it maybe that was the play my thrive is not particularly good i guess this is my play if i can raise that into xyrella that would be really nice i wonder i guess i'll play it and see what happens very very nice yeah i definitely just play zarella here what knowledge i think the five sixes are pretty good here i'm pretty sure i know six of my opponent's seven cards and none of them are oh i did not know six of my opponent's seven cards my opponent should have nightmare laughing sister ellucia condemn yashiraj i guess condemn is pretty good might be another clown though all right well if i just hit holy nova then i don't have to play lucio i'm pretty sure my opponent has a condemned though so i could have just gone condemn ellucia condemn there nice all right so my experience with this deck so far has certainly been unique i played a bit with it yesterday and i went 0 and 10 so i was really struggling to win some games but it turned out my mic wasn't working when i was recording so i had to play it again today and today i went three and two so overall the data set looks bad but if we isolate it to like just the meta i was in today maybe it's not that bad hard to say and uh believe it or not one of the games i played when my mic wasn't working my opponent was also playing a prize vendor and uh south sea scoundrel priest but they did have a good idea that i think i want to rip off a bit which is they were playing banana vendor and uh banana vendor just seems like a good idea right it's like being able to play another copy of mukula in the deck and uh we can even use the bananas a little bit with like our blade masters tomorrow or just a buff an apotheosis minion so i think the banana vendor seems like a good idea i think i want to replace the desperate prayers because this deck is filled with situational and reactive cards and i don't really think we can afford to play something as low value as desperate prayer so trade out the prayers for the monkeys now the person i played against was also playing clockwork giant which does seem like it could be a good idea when we're giving our opponent bananas and we have prize vendors and such but this deck was pitched to me as a fatigue deck so i don't know that blank clockwork giant is really in the spirit of that so i'm not gonna play it but i think there is another minion we can play that sort of does the same thing which is ogremancer so we give our opponents cards that means they have more spells but also now with the banana vendors our opponent we can potentially give them six or even with raised heads we can give them way more bananas than that in the game and ogre manser punishes them for having those bananas so to make room for the ogre mansers i think i'm just going to cut thrive in the shadows it never really felt that good to me and i looked at other priest decks and they don't really seem to play it so i'll take their word for it that it's not that great of a card now the last three cards i want to include i'm not as convinced of but the first of them is a pair of far watch posts so the fire watch post it punishes the opponent for drawing a card with prize vendor it also just as they naturally draw cards those cards are harder to play their hand gets bigger it's easier to overdraw them with something like prize vendor and it's also just something acceptable off the mull again the set currently doesn't really have that much stuff i want a mulligan for there's like reliquary of souls palm reading and not really much else so i think adding two copies of far watch posts could be pretty good now at this point it's getting pretty hard to find deck slots since we're dedicating so many of them to milling the opponent and we have to play good priest cards as well so the cuts from here i think are going to be a little bit sketchy but i didn't really feel that i ever needed soul mirror i think we have enough ford clears in this deck and i also kind of want to cut mind render lucia i feel like our whole mill strategy kind of accomplishes what ellucia does anyway and if that strategy is so weak that we need a lucia then we probably just shouldn't be playing it at all so let's cut her play a couple watch posts and then finally i thought it could be fun to play alabaster we can combo it with prize vendor or even an insighted scoundrel get some extra value seems like it could be pretty cool in the stack now it is pretty hard to find room for the alabaster but i think i want to cut reliquary of souls for it i'm very unsure of that change reliquary of souls was definitely an okay card but we have to make a sacrifice for the key master i do think that one other direction we could take this deck in is playing rally because we now have watch posts but we have prize vendors as well we have a bunch of three men and minions and like kidding muklow would be really insane and if we're in a matchup that cares about the alex hitting alec is really insane uh we would of course have to put the reliquary of souls back in the deck but that would be easy enough to do other options for this deck would be like uh wand maker just tends to be a pretty good card in priest we could also play venomous scorpion again tends to just be a pretty good card but for now i think this is the build we're going to go for all right i did want to play against warlock if we can mill jaraxxus antiquities that'd be pretty hype i think banana vendor is almost always a mill on this matchup oh wow armor armor definitely want to hold all my mill cards for when they actually mill because i do have to mill probably like two specific cards to be able to beat orlock pretty unlikely seven cards in my opponent's hand please my yoga manser just gets value traded here which kinda sucks i do think it's still the play though oh look at all those cards my opponent's holding this is easy banana vendor plus pr yeah banana vendor prize vendor i didn't even realize this was a double vendor duck okay that one's pretty good okay we put this down to seven i need them to get back up to eight cards so i can go for vendor scoundrel mill two more i wonder if i play alabaster i'm going to overdraw and that's not very fun i'm not sure if this is smart that i'm going to play it i should have played a banana or two here actually i might be cleaning up that ogre mansion with xyrella next turn jesus christ all right well one of the yogurt mansions died uh alabaster is a lot better this turn than it was last turn the only reason to not alabaster here is if i want to try to combo it with the other prize vendor seems kind of shitty school spirits is pretty terrible it's good against the psychos oh yes give me another card wait do i ever draw here oh ticket us uh i mean if i can't mill my opponent's ticket is having a copy for myself is pretty good definitely looking to mill yoshiraj now now that i want to mill yoshiraj it's actually kind of bad that i milled thailand because that's a really easy way to milly ashuraj i can actually mill my opponent for so much here wait that doesn't even kill that jesus christ um so i want to go vendor scoundrel ticketus i guess i just kill this and play school spirits another jailer [Music] terrible ticket us honestly with seven mills or you can even kind of think of south seas counter as three mils so more than that but uh i don't know even if i get ticket as yashiraj i'm still like even on fatigue but it's not great what is happening here oh is there a point in playing those bananas maybe there was i don't know eight cards my opponent's hand let's go mookla hopefully i can draw into prize vendor scoundrel or rey's dud unfortunate psyche split i mean the other two cards are trash i guess flash hill is pretty good to xyrella actually i wonder my hand really bad overdraw at this point it's also pretty good to overdraw the other nether and sociologist because if my opponent has trouble corrupting the ticketus then like that's pretty good for me as well there's the other hysteria it's perfectly all right six cards in my opponent's hand i don't think i'm gonna be able to mill them again god my opponent still has two cascading disasters i was thinking about going like apotheosis psyche split i'm not sure if it's actually good to shuffle all that garbage though i guess forcing a cascading disaster is pretty good though i think pretty much the only way i can overdraw my opponent again is like rey's dad into double monkey i do have two raised heads and i have three dead monkeys or maybe even more than three dead monkeys focused will it's pretty good on the one three here it's not very good the shuffle i guess devouring plague is pretty good with xyrella or i guess i can just play devouring plague here i mean it's just better than focused well right and the cycle of life is i'm almost out of cards sure i have a bunch of garbage that can be milled it milled double psyche split double siphon soul that's interesting and probably pretty bad for me honestly twist it there's the entourage i have hysteria for it i might have to go hysteria plus xyrella here what does my opponent have left probably another i know they have a school spirits is my duck tracker working properly i swear i've seen both spirit jailers what these well let's just see what the renew can find for me devouring flag does plague ever let me hold hysteria kill three this would deal six aoe no pretty sure i just raised ed here so just a lot of stats for next turn double strong man as expected probably school spirits cascading disaster okay i hadn't seen the other spirit jailer i've still only seen one drain soul though oh sick i can draw a soul frag this actually makes my opponent take an extra fatigue i think i'm almost down because they do draw this here i probably didn't really need to play that soul fragment i still could raise that as irela and that healed me for two didn't see i probably shouldn't have played that no cascading disaster pretty sure it would have been played here so i think i win my apotheosis just a papios is the big one i guess i don't know i can raise dead first those are not very good oh i'm dumb i could have bananaed and killed both of those for sure it ends up not mattering but that was dumb i didn't think i had the mana for it for whatever reason nice all we have to do is mill jarraxxus and steal tickets and we can win the match up easy all right so i played like eight games with the new version of the deck and uh it's still not really that good we can like sort of mill our opponents but it's very inconsistent and against some opponents we're just never gonna be able to mill anything it's just not really possible with the way they play their decks but against priests and warlocks and maybe another class or two we certainly can mill some stuff and i did have a little bit of success in those matchups as far as all the changes i made i think i'm pretty satisfied with all of them alabaster actually performed quite a bit better than i expected ogre manser we know is just a good card the banana vendors i think are quite solid and far watch post is just good so at this point i think i'm pretty satisfied with all 30 cards in the list at least for the requirements given to me i didn't ever really feel like the educated alex were crucial so if you were going to cut something from the fatigue package that's probably what i would cut but it's not terrible um i think the next step from here would either be trying out a rally build all we really need to do is make room for two rallies and a reliquary of souls not really sure how we would do that we probably would have to cut alabaster and then maybe cut like one banana vendor and one raised dead i don't know the raised dots felt pretty good other than the rally the cards i would be looking at would be uh venomous scorpid and wand maker tend to just be pretty good cards and for yeast wand maker can give you some good value with draconic studies you can also just give like holy smite just good cards so yeah i think those are mostly your options you could also consider playing like the clockwork giants i talked about or even c'thun but i feel like c'thun and clockwork giant kind of take away from this being
