MIDI Mapping in Logic Pro X | Assign Parameters to your MIDI Controller!

hey everyone and welcome back to my channel I hope that you're doing well so this is just a very quick video to show you how to MIDI map in logic pro submitting mapping will essentially allow you to use controllers on your midi keyboard or MIDI controller to basically control different parameters whether it's in your plugins and vsts or even in Logic Pro itself so this can essentially create a more hands-on experience whether you're producing and you want to just quickly add some automations or if you're doing live performances as well you can just use your MIDI controller as an extension of your VST so to start off with if you select any parameters I'm going to click on the delay wet and dry mix and then click command l so this will pop up the midi mapping window if you toggle the control that you want to use on your MIDI controller so for me it's one of the faders you can see that it responds with the delay wet and dry knob so it's mapped to that parameter and all you need to do is close the learn mode so now when you toggle that fader you can control the amount of delay that's been added to your sound foreign [Music] you can also do the same with Filter cutoff which might be great for live performance just click on the filter cutoff click command and L again toggle another fader so this time it's mapped to a different control and now that filter cuts off is being controlled by one of the faders [Music] you can also set this up to respond to any controls in Logic Pro itself so for example if I click on the volume fader in my track and do the same thing as a midi map it to another fader now I can dial in volume automations with that fader as well I hope this video was helpful let me know if you want more logic specific videos because I don't really do many on this channel but I would love to if you'd like to see more of them don't forget to like And subscribe if you want to see more videos from me and I will catch you on the next one
