Microsoft's Bing Image creator - beginners tutorial | New Bing AI image generator

hello everybody Microsoft has just released their own image Creator and it's inbuilt into bing.com in today's video I'll go over all its current features so you can see if this is something you'd like to use this will be a part of my Bing AI playlist I should probably call this Microsoft AI now because Microsoft's coming out with a lot of new products also if this is your first time to my channel I recommend you go to my playlist section to see the videos that are relevant to you all right let's get started so the first thing you need to access Microsoft's image Creator is to have a Microsoft account so any email account which is at the rate of outlook.com or live.com and I also recommend using Microsoft Edge as the browser when you use this now when you're logged in with your Microsoft account you can go to this link called bing.com create at this time Microsoft has removed the need to be on the waitlist to access any of the Bing chat or Bing image Creator features so you don't need to be on any kind of waitlist which you might have seen in my first video so what is the Microsoft image Creator so it's similar to a lot of AI image generators that are coming in the market and it runs in the back end using the Dali model so just like using Bing chat on Microsoft's browser implies that you're using gpt4 if you use Microsoft's image creator that means you're using dolly in the back end before you start generating anything you should know that this service is free but there's two versions of the image generation one of them is the fast generation which is done using this boost feature and you get 10 boosts every day to use so after 10 images the image generation might be a lot slower and in today's video I'm going to go through all of the 10 credits for today to see how long the image might take after the boosts are done so make sure to stick around till the end of this video next it has this explore section which has a bunch of images that are already generated so you know what kind of images you can expect you don't know what you want to generate you can use this button called surprise me what I like is that it does not complete the generation it just generates a prompt and you can choose whether you like this prompt or not and if you click surprise me again it generates another prompt I actually like that it generates only one prompt at a time so it can kind of help you get away from a block but it doesn't give you hundreds of ideas that you can just use so it's more like a feature to surprise you and get you away from just being blocked on ideas you might see that the problem structure here is written in the natural language using a specific graphic style I actually recommend using its recommendation on how to prompt it's actually a really good structure which you can use in a lot of different tools so basically you have this noun which is the main thing that you want to generate and you add an objective to its left and a verb and a style to its right so if you want to generate say a creature like an alien of some kind you add an objective to its left so it's a fuzzy alien and then you add a verb like it's doing something it's wearing sunglasses and then you add a style to get started let me just use this prompt Superman sitting at a cubicle in the 1930s comic style I think they spelled cubicle wrong but I think that is how cubicle is spelled so I'm going to just use that and click create all right now I have four images of Superman sitting in the cubicle he looks really sad in this one and I like how much emotion is added to Superman like I don't think he wants to sit in the cubicle working so in both of these images he looks really sad and these two I don't know what he's doing here but here it looks really focused so he's actually working I think this is my favorite one I don't know how good the quality is because there's no option to upscale at this time maybe they're gonna add a feature to upskill this picture for an additional credit so after you have created this you can add it to a collection so you can click save and it adds it to your saved images I'm going to keep this one because I like how the emotion here is really sad it's like Spider-Man had to get a real day job because he doesn't need to save the world anymore I'm also going to click download to see how good the quality is if you get closer and closer you're gonna see it's definitely not upscale so you can't really use this image in any kind of Graphics or clothing I don't really know if you can use these images for anything commercial probably not but I'll have to check that out now I'm going to try some of my own generations and I'm going to explore some Styles so let me go back to my favorite character female owl chemist in the forest and I'm gonna do my first generation with no style to see what it gives me go click create alright these came out pretty nice if I click here I see there's some issues with the eyes here maybe or maybe that's just how her eye is now let me try the same prompt using three different styles so I'm gonna do photo realistic painting first and I'm gonna do another generation if would have been nice if I could have used my favorite image of the four as an image to image so I can continue with that same character but I don't see an option to do image to image yet wow actually this quality is quite a lot better than the last one just because I mentioned my style which is a photorealistic painting one thing to mention here is that every boost actually just takes one credit and it generates four Images at a time now let me change the style to pop art we have a female Alchemist in the style of Pop art because it looks like a character I can use in the comic strip yeah till now I'm pretty impressed by the quality of images it's producing without much details so let me go for the last one which says graphic design all right I have four Images again one of them is actually black and white let's look at that I would really like to have an option to upskill this or edit this image in some way but overall I think this is really unique version of a female Alchemist now let me try working with some emotions so I'm gonna say sad female Alchemist in the forest and I'm going to go back to photorealistic painting just to see what it gives me so far the generations have been fairly fast I think it's going to take around 5 to 10 seconds for each generation as long as you're using this boost I think these two pictures are more sad with their expressions and these two are more about showing their sadness using their hands I think I like this one the most I think she's not happy with how her potion turned out to be now let me change the emotion to ecstatic you see this one has a smile and she's really happy with the portion this one looks like she is in the moment with the forest this one I'm not sure what's going on but I think this is the most accurate representation of ecstatic there's some issues with the hands as you see if we zoom in but of course there's no editor for me to fix that but overall I think this captures ecstatic the most even though her hands are definitely not well done now let me try some actions I'm going to say female Alchemist dancing in the forest there's some kind of dance move here it reminds me of Elaine from Seinfeld a little bit and this looks more traditional I think I like this one the most here just because how unique this dance style is because it added this Japanese kimono to my Alchemist but there's a lot of other issues like her hands are all messed up there's like one leg I'm not sure if that's a leg or a hand but just for its uniqueness I'm Gonna Save this one now let me try something wild for my last two so I'm gonna say female Alchemist doing a backflip wow this is actually following my instructions pretty well I'm not sure if she's hanging from a tree here or doing a backflip but this one is definitely doing a backflip this is more like a handstand on her fingers I think I'm gonna download this one though because she's actually holding something I think a potion bottle while doing her backflip for the last one I want to try something unique too so I'm going to see a female Alchemist disappearing into space kind of kept it vague by choice because I want to see how it interprets the word space it's really cool images I think I like this one the most just because how close to photorealistic her face is alright now I have run out of all my boosts so if I click here now it says I can use 500 reward points for five more boosts so I think what happens here is the more you use Bing the more rewards you get so I have 1865 rewards like you say and I didn't do anything specific for that I was just using Bing again and you can redeem five boosts by using 500 of those it does say here that your boosts are refreshed weekly so it's not daily like I thought originally so you have to wait a week so I'm just gonna try one generation without the boosts just to see how long it takes and I'll tell you how long it took even if I edit that out and I'm gonna just do female Alchemist in the Forest again and do create but this time without any boosts as you see here that it says your images are currently in progress that means it's not being generated right away let me come back in a few minutes and see if it is done all right I have my Alchemist without using the Boost there's some issues with the eyes in this one and the other ones are kind of blurry as well so would I wait for five plus minutes for a generation by being AI image creator probably not I don't think the image quality is that great yet it has no option to upscale or edit the images so I wouldn't really wait for five minutes nor would I probably buy the images yet I think it's going to improve quite a bit this is just the first version of it and I think the time it took me was around five to six minutes and one thing to mention here is that I had to refresh the page to get my images to appear it doesn't Auto appear so it I thought it took longer but actually it took around five to six minutes so you should pay attention to your notifications to know when your images are being generated so I think uh given the early stage of the image Creator by Microsoft I think it's pretty decent it's free ish because you still need to buy boosts with Rewards or I don't know if there's an option to buy with money I think they're using this Microsoft reward option to kind of incentivize people to use more of Bing so they can get rewards which they can then exchange for credits on the image generator which I think is a good strategy for overall usage to end this video let me actually try redeeming five boosts using 500 points so I'm gonna click redeem and it should reduce my points there we go so we have 1370 points now and I have five credits it still says five minutes wait which should not be true anymore Let me refresh the page to see if it changes yeah there we go so I don't have five minute wait anymore I have five boosts so I can generate more images I don't know if the current state of this product is worth buying and if I were to use just some free options I'd probably use Leonardo at this point if you don't like something about this product you can of course leave your feedback here about what you would like to have so that's all I have for this video I hope you got a good idea of what to expect when you're using the image Creator and just
