now one example that stood out for me was because when you think about business processes in particular the one thing that is going to be true is more things are going to be digitized as we see the power of IOT and other tools that are going to be used every workflow is going to be automated or an ongoing basis that means we need to have a set of tools that allow us to reduce the total cost of these customizations and automation and now we built a complete new app platform which I think represents a tremendous opportunity for everyone in the room power bi power apps and flow that combination of it is just going to change how applications are built and deployed and things that get automated London Heathrow busiest airport in Europe a plane takes off every 45 seconds 78 million passengers and one employee sort of saw an opportunity for their own digital transformation journey to be accelerated let's roll the video I don't just want to make a living I wanna make a difference when I left school at 16 but I was working in Heathrow at the time and the opportunity came up and becoming a security officer but for what my opportunity Teledyne you stake me here - what is he playing than everything so why not work for a company or an import like fo there I've been ask you Joseph thirty years when I said come out people and time we were spending I saw an app would be a great solution for these problems be sold about a year ago I started learning that the Microsoft programs I went home and I looked at her blog for power-ups and he said this is how you can burn up now for why didn't know I know this because this could have so much potential to change so many things we have saved eleven thousand sheets of paper and saved around two hundred eighty eight hours of manual input data going from paper to digital has been amazing it's about what's your skill deliver like anybody blow this out is community of super users I've already been used oh sorry I'm mrs. DISA to the ice my name is Thomas a knee and I'm a IT user adoption specialist at he foot there's no limit what you can create with new technology I'll create a new career [Music] [Applause] so I summertime here was summer than Kemal thank you so much for being here so somebody tell me a little bit about sort of your journey how did this all get started I started my dad actually because then he started working he fought between simple so 24 like you've worked for 27 years yeah he fo and he's taking me my brother too he for airport and show us all the plane is taking off and I've got hooked I said this is wrong this is out belong this is where I want to work I live 15 minutes away from Heathrow and being part he pho is a pleasure to work I felt proud to work at Heathrow and in a rendered opportunity came to be a street officer I took the opportunity apply for that job and it's such a great experience to be a security officer because we're not just there to make sure that our passengers have a safe journey but it's also providing that customer service it's awesome so and then how did this particular project sort of come to you and so when it comes to paper processing we get so involved we just inputting data and we get so many problems where say oh we need just input data and so on so when we had this translation book we can't carry around we want to make this into a digital process and we're so easy just looking at power attitude just transfer a book into a digital so you just went read the blog and said that let me be a developer that's it it's awesome it's awesome what's next so we want to transform Heathrow Airport into digital workplace by inspiring and enabling all our colleagues from those that work in airside operations to those in security to our CEO John to make sure that they can use these tools to make their work lives easier simpler more productive more efficient more effective thank you thank you so much for coming today you you you
