[Applause] we are honored to have with us tonight a man who has had a profound influence on International Film making he is here from Italy with his beautiful wife Enrique ladies and gentlemen mikelangelo and [Music] [Music] tonioni [Music] Martin had the great idea that Michelangelo should receive a honorary Academy Award in 1995 so he wrote actors directors and Screen players uh to ask their support and immediately a wonderful group of people responded with beautiful letters and at a time Michelangelo was shooting beyond the clouds and marting send us the letters on the set every day and I would take them to Michelangelo and tell Michelangelo today you received a letter from Robert DeNiro or shanon stone or Gregory peek we received so many s and they were of great great support for mangel to receive his Oscar thank you all and thank you Martin you gave us great Joys and strength on behalf of Michelangelo I thank you very very [Music] much
