Michael Strahan Gets Emotional About Derek Jeter's Last Home Game

so here's a little ticket from yesterday that I gotta go take away God was there and actually we're not winning they had a bunch of hats that's their Derrick Jeter's final game I'm gonna get us some but I didn't get it on the way in so when I wait I wait Bao you saw people sitting there like four of them I'm like the only two of you over there right for the kids they brought them home said oh my hat yeah yeah they took them home that's what a good hat but they did give a takeaway present well yeah we have one of the employees of the Yankees um friend of mine gave me there's the I was their pin no keeping my ticket was an incredible moment but it was first at-bat Derek Jeter gets up everybody standing ovations and then you know they go director tour when you're out in the field and you gotta tip your hat and do all that and then they stop and move on to the next guy but just the energy was amazing he gets up the first at-bat it hits a double and it drives in a run with since the crowd wild it look like with the home run had that home run oh my really people that whole thing would have crumbled don't you see him would have crumbled we still be there right now oh my god so alien that was amazing and then of course ninth-inning Jeter's up the bat he hits a walk-off single drives in a run for the Yankees to win and what better way for a man to finish his career in Yankee Stadium then with the hit that wins the game for the player here we go GERD eaters who goes out of winter he looks like I have to say he looked to me like he was going to cry but mark was saying that's what it is that's how he looks like just right I thought he look like you gonna go yeah good I walked he was doing breathing like he was like he was gonna cry I'll tell you why see it when I retired I retired in the offseason like I never went back for that final thing to say this your final game which is ridiculous you should have done weights not too late we could should still do that one problem is I would have to go through a whole season to get to the last game that wasn't that happen but but when I walked into to the stadium and I'm watching him on the field and I'm realizing this is his last time of being there I got emotional right because I was like oh my this is how did he feel out there like I'll never be here surrounded by these people I see you man I've never been here surrounded by these people getting getting being on the field there's one thing to go out there for the old-timers game with John I guess he's an old-timer now one thing retires but it's just totally different and if that what happens you become an old-timer immediately after you retire yes that's keeping it real isn't it yeah keeping it real it's gone real quick but the person who stole the show possibly with his young nephew Jalen they come after after he hit that that walk-off at the end of the game and you know everybody has this think about respect what a respect they know they were they take the s and they turn into a number two for Jeter and there's all these commercials where they tip their hat to him even Boston fans and Met fans and in all that stuff so at the end of the game is two year old nephew sitting there with his mom and his father and we have a little video of this little kid at the end of the gate it's amazing laughs hey I mean how did they get that to happen you know it was just like the most most important unbelievable it's kind of everything worked out perfectly for the way you wanted it to end for him and now I don't want to find out Derek that you've been in the garage with your nephew come on okay come on but it was impressive nonetheless it's amazing got to the heart got to my um okay you're gonna make it it's okay I made it I made it looking grats to the captain well-deserved great to live in you are Thank You Derek we've made a great example
