ladies and gentlemen please welcome sir michael follow-through I gotta be honest gotta be honest I am very surprised you came back after your last visit here well I thought I was a you success you just huge success in our household name now because of that corner Gambon corner it's the one it's huge changes after me judi dench fancies you because of factors I had because of that because it makes me very butch every can we've actually got that we've got a clip actually here which we can show to you of what we're on about for those of you who weren't watching Top Gear and way back here he goes okay I mean seriously we've had some kind of even more spectacular offs yeah but I was I think that was the fourth ever Top Gear thought we've just killed the singing detective I know well about time someone building but of course since then now Harry Potter's come along yeah I'm Dumbledore Richard Harris did two films and he died I've done I'm now my third do you understand the first thing that's been said in Harry Potter well I read the strip and learn the lines and I try to understand I have to understand event I sort of quite often I don't know what's going on there in other films I do you know such a layer cake did you know what was going on in the whole idea really and then when I did Gosford Park I must admit I hadn't read it before I started shooting and I sat down the first day at the dinner table with Maggie Smith and wood cold castable I didn't know what's going on I thought my wife was Maggie Smith but it wasn't and all through the scene I was making eyes at her and she said who are you looking at and you still do plays presumably I do plays ah but this year I'm doing my best play ever that's a play by Samuel Beckett and it's half an hour long brilliant huh don't speak there's one voice going on a tape recorder all through it that's Penelope Wilton and that's recorded yes sit there by myself and listen so you just sit on us I sit on a bed all by yourself all by myself for half an hour and don't say dramas I don't speak do people come and see this so they rating this a greatest play ever written how do you what you have to react then see does a video camera projecting my face onto a scrim 30-foot high when it comes in in nine stages bits closer and closer and I can't move my face does it look like you know an explosion I got to keep very still you know and then act without mad act at the same time that's food it without talking or moving without talking or moving that's hard what I got me for it don't Canyon got guilty then without moving can I look guilty yeah look guilty I look guilty all the time I must say I tried to try acting the other day for something which is coming out later and I could do angry I felt angry very easy that's easy then listen could he be tender no bond I could be bond giving you were going to be bond when I was interviewed that bond when I was young what bye cubby broccoli yeah we went upstairs we sat at the table and I said I laughed I said I could be James Bond he said why not I said well I got tits and double chin and no teeth a bald head he said well so sean connery well it's I said how do you cope with the titty so we just put leather bags full of ice on that just before the tape they go what Sean Connery is saying is a woman well that's what I was traveling let's be honest you are actually quite famous aren't you for making stuff up in interviews stories yeah yeah we do you have - I hate interviews oh god sorry some but I do everything so awful right that I just tell lies so if someone gets worried I know you did once tell an interview you were a member of the Royal Ballet yeah I said I was a Patti dancer Carozza are you laughing at and I he said why did you give it out I said they fell I fell off the stage at the Opera House and went through a kettledrum then you told someone else you were gay yes I said I was gay the man said you played Oscar I played Oscar Wilde he said did you find that difficult as I said no I didn't he said what about the homosexuality so that annoyed me you know and I said well I found that very easy because I used to be a homosexual and he was so thick you know he said I said but I was forced to give it up and then he asked the question he said oh why was that why was that I said cuz it made my eyes water for I thought he'd laugh but he didn't mr. so there's no but there's those press junkets as well where you go around telling there's a marvelous opportunity of a lie tell him those where they launch a film yeah and they get all they have to move around I've done a lot of that you get you get an interview every 10 minutes with a video camera and they queue up outside the door in some posh hotel but all I sacked us before we do it we give each other tasks and one of my tasks on Sleepy Hollow Johnny Depp told me I had to get Claudia Schiffer's knickers into my reply for each question hey every question every quest did you manage it easy now the great thing is of course is that you actually trained as an engineer yeah yep that's your sort of first love here my passion you know that pro-drive we've got here today yeah do you understand this difference everyone does you don't yes it's just too cold rotating one we also have thoughts on the hour yes I know but this is how electronics inside it doesn't it obviously the probe right he should be frankly should it be a presenter I'm surprised you're presenting this programme you don't know about the pro-drive did leave you astonished I do know I'd everyone here does not hire net I will talk about cars then yeah you can give us a comparison where's our new car compared to our old one oh I think it's easier to drive really yeah well we're gonna find out now please you'd like to see Michael having a practice no one have a look at this let's have a look where are we here and it looks like second-to-last corner yes it is second-to-last just me I was so frightened look at that poor old man are we ready to see the the fool that now play the tape there was an aggressive start you got it how old are you no fats are very rude question 28 20 yeah well that's now that was actually cutting that corner but since its slippery through there I'll let you off a relaxed driving style I would say but aggressive that's quick into the Hammerhead not cutting this one gonna kill the cameraman no he's running away that's alright god this is where Stig did he tell you to go flat out and you are doing flat out through here move the camera closer sooner here we go is coming up to Gambon everybody your own corner it is what is it with that corner and uh I just don't like it anyway last time you were here in the Liana yeah 1:55 terrible you did it in the Lacetti in one minute due to the unique way the BBC is funded the pen doesn't work increases the tension no no no no no no I shall manage the one minute 55 to beat remember your last time fifty point three so there we are so ladies and gentlemen Michael gamble Oh you
