Kristen Scott Thomas's Interview and Lap Time | Top Gear

my guest tonight is a Hollywood star she's currently starring on the West End stage and one of the great classics she's the epitome of cool how was your heart fluttering as you talked about it how's your tongue gone really big you know will you two grow up ladies and gentlemen please welcome Chrissy Scott to us so has it been the most horrible day of your life no I enjoyed it I enjoyed driving fast and relatively dangerously well it wasn't fast cuz it is only was very fast for me was it yes because I'm very slow I usually drive my nose on the windscreen and so you're over here at the moment obviously starring in a play in the West End is that mean you're living in London um yeah during the play yeah during the play and so what are you driving around London then gee whiz gee whiz the little electric yes nice car I've always liked them how to lie no no no no it's all just a nonsense people have misquoted me I'm thinking of getting one well you should but I don't think it fit in it that's the problem no I would I'd saw bits off um mine's got tiger stripes all over it it's very attractive as well I like that idea now you live in Paris most yes how does that compare to London traffic's worse and I like driving in Paris I don't like driving London very much is there a difference in driving style that you have to adjust well yeah I mean I I got four pet traffic offences in my first week in London what a g-wiz there's no way yeah obviously not speeding no no that would be that would be difficult to scribe driving around the Arc de Triomphe it's one of life great adventure I love it which is it it's fantastically frightening I did that once in a Ford GT that was very tricky that Ford GT it's a it's an olive Nullah vertically nice car it damages the environment quite badly I like it but but there is a moment where you just get to the Arctic trim from just eight here we go I love it it's like jelly it's great fun the thing it the trick with the Arc de Triomphe is that you just have to not look wait who's coming at you just look where you're going and have a really badly beaten up car yeah no never trying a nice carpet always a worse car you can lay your hands on because then everyone would avoid you and this is one of the reasons I have should have got you as the cool wall Muse if you see what area because you do you straddle Europe in Paris in Europe to me it's just so much cooler than Los Angeles and even New York but do you mind awfully if I just run a few cars past you yes tablished their coolness this okay obviously this is very cool yes gee where's Klein I hope you got my specs on there I'm sorry mate you described it as a wart last year the only problem that you might find is getting into it and the rainy night you have to choose between mrs. creepers lights see that isn't in the brochure and I would just like to say when I said it was a wart I was thinking more in terms of Cindy Crawford's beauty spot so you know this guy's absolutely brilliant for London so thank you very much and that's very cool now we've often said on the cool wall that we anticipate because you live in Paris that small European cars like vote ok Renault and that's a little Citroen and that's a little fear they're cool yeah are we right yes I think the rhinos are yet not what not the fear shut that one little a bit dodgy at the back bit what dodgy yeah I don't like the back it sort of see I know I agree clown bit puntos are rubbish somebody quietly go and move it down and we've also said this kind of thing red burn I love that I may have accidentally said in the past it was a Cheshire footballers car that but it is well that's cool that's fabulous go years if your cool ball has just been destroyed that's a good chainsaw to it last week your machine gunning it right goodra dude four-wheel drive cars I don't really like those yes I'll move them all down last week he used to have one and I got rid of it did you wish do you have I'd really nice it was a big Volvo something xc90 I have no idea dying is opposed when the Xena there's really huge ones yeah I liked it those seven seats in it yes that's right that's what I've got all in the same year don't thank you as Richard Hammond what got out of that one I'm just right can I just say rolls-royce I'm slightly ambivalent about Rolls Royces yeah Richard Hammond came down to one this morning I think we made a bit of a fool of yourself yes tal you should have done right now most important Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder this is yeah Walt what's pathetic isn't it yeah right so cancel that order yes I know yeah Rollo like a sensible person a what Volvo of a no no no the children go around and evolve but obviously because they're going to school them back I have to have something else and I thought that would be rubbish and I know now if I may I'll move on cuz you're ever here starring in the seagull and the seeker yeah I know the seagulls not about a seagull no John no no it's about well I think I might can I just guess just to see like one not much happens and then act 2 not much and then act everything happens well it's in between the acts somebody goes off and tries to shoot themselves in the head and then mrs. mrs. that's when everyone's in the bar and he came back and he's got a bandage on his head now this this is completely sold out yeah I'll get tickets and God knows I've tried the other thing about checker I just really like check I know I haven't got a thing about check off but I just find that the I've only done two plays am i boring already anyone who wants a job presenting top gear the addresses BBC wood lane london w12 7ts and now we're gonna find out obviously in a minute how your lap was do you wanna owe it when there's a bit of a buggy moment oh man did you get off I went off and sunk really yes and I saw an ambulance coming speeding towards me not to rescue me but just to tow the car did we go too fast we'll get lost well no I just sort of gave up steering well I tell you what you'd like to see the lap I'm glad okay let's play the tape where is he and start looks good thing no this is smooth blue perfect in everywhere across again wrong with that a little Chicago and again no absolutely banger Hugh Grant did that and then that was my partner bloody hell see where you've been off there it's awfully muddy now here did you go fast flat out for you no that's flat out I can hear the tires tortured screaming no is this the fastest you've ever gone that's not very fast and then we are across the line perfect where do you think you might have come with you probably brand what down here what Brian Cox I have no idea I have no idea what time it was look you did it in 1 minute 54 seconds masculine Philip Glenister faster than Rick Wakeman faster than Brian Cox and much faster than Jimmy Carr I have to say I thought that you were better at that than I would be in a Chekhov play that's yes
