here we go with the final of the men's right jock seasons outstanding performer Maxine in the desert gal European under 23 gold medalist the best Jumper in the world this year with 235 the Malaysians Hornet Asian champion cook we leave twice a Southeast Asian Games winner although that was a while ago [Applause] here comes a youngster in fabulous sports pan-american champion world junior gold medalist three years ago Louis and Noriko Zaius looks cool and relaxed the sneak Canadian still going strong at the age of 33 Michael Mason Commonwealth bronze medalist pan american silver medalist and now wait for the big man the defending champion but listen to this moves us SFR shame the defending champion has the whole crowd on his side another former world junior champion from 2014 won the Birmingham Diamond League Mikael a Kimiko authorized beautiful athlete Brahmastra what a breakthrough this Australian had last year won the Diamond League won the Commonwealth title and he could feature here sneaking around the back oh there he is Brandon Stark nice entrance good Tash as well let's hope it brings him luck Asian Games champion from last year in Indonesia Wang you 26th in the world indoors in Birmingham last year America's representation in this final its champ reigning US Champion in force are now six in a pan american games sharone robinson now half heartthrob from Italy the toxic clown we love him gianmarco chambery European champion bounce back so well from injuries in 2016 he always gets the crowd fired up it's going to be quite a party over there all prized excellently bronzed last year Giuliani van u-233 this season he was second in the match in Minsk another shy character Berto Rican equal national record holder Louis Castro of live era - the Pan American Games 13 in the Olympics back in 2016 now then we're in the extremely early stages of this high jump competition Dan O'Brien what's the latest all right guys every three looks like everybody's ready to jump at this opening bar the opening bar - 19 the starting heights we had a bit of a delay because the pit was a little bit too far to the left as the jumpers faced the pit and when they moved the rails for the 1,500 meter runners the rails were just too close to everybody's runs so they took about a solid fifteen minutes to move that pin over it looks like they got it right now and look who is up next the crowd favorite and the guys didn't take a whole lot of warm-up jump so we will see everybody jump at these preliminary heights Don O'Brien in pole position now let's get our first look at the defending champion he takes off oils in front of the board for Jenny to me it looks like there's an indescribable bounce with bashing when he's on Form I'm not saying he's back to 100% but something has clicked in the last six weeks yeah he really looks like he's just got springs in his legs doesn't he takes off such a way away from the bar but the way he curves himself over that bar is absolutely incredible I can n co yeah no problem for the world junior champion from five years ago he won the Birmingham diamond Lee a mark of how modest bar shims season has been 229 in qualifying for this final that was his season's best to put that in context six seasons in a row from 2013 to 2018 the defending champion tickled to 40 what a great 12 months has been for Brandon stark for so long he's lived in the shadow of his brother Mitchell who is a very famous Australian cricketer part of the ashes tour to Great Britain but stark is now a quality high jumper in his own right Diamond League winner last year Commonwealth champion last year I'll tell you what he he could be in the conversation for a medal with 230 cleared this season and a PBR 236 yeah I never think there's been a men's high jump competition that's been so open for such a long time we normally have the guys who were you know at 2:40 but as I mentioned earlier this is the first time since 2009 that no one in the world is jumped over 236 or higher can we see it this evening loving the stats from Jenny Meadows she's been at her desk in the hotel for hours Wang uation games winner yep everybody just getting warmed up slowly Danah Brian's still down there just to get another insight from you as we have got such fantastic access via your insight can you sense tension from Barcia more does he seem quite relaxed as we watch sure Jerome Robinson go for his first light he seems very relaxed and that's the one thing that I noticed about him in the qualifying as well he didn't seem like he was under any sort of stress or pressure and he comes out here for the for the finals and he's doing you know some hundred meter strides around the corner people are going absolutely bananas they're singing they're chanting they're clapping and he just glances up a nice smile a little bit of a clap thanking the people for coming out here he seems very very relaxed but he has a wonderful routine as well he'll take a joke he'll go back to his little camp area where he has a towel laid out he's got his bag he puts his hat on and his complete tracksuit all the way back on even will change his shoes back into his runners if he knows he's got enough time but he just relaxes he turns it on when he needs to and he shuts it off when he doesn't want to use that energy and that is the sign of a very very good athlete knowing when to turn it on because if you kept your intensity up if you kept your energy on you would be exhausted by the end of the competition let alone the end of the day and dad we've just seen one of my favorite athletes Jamar coach at Barry the Italian go over he's a real character isn't he you can't make it up with that beard no not at all and he didn't have his beard shaved wisely in the qualifying but he knew he was going to come out here sometimes his beard is half blue and he's got blue in his hair as well but in the introduction he sprinted over to the fans and he got them absolutely riled up for the next person they brought out but he loves the attention he loves to get the crowd behind him and I think I think outside of our team he could be a crowd favorite today and it would be a great story Dan if both men who have bounced back from potentially career-ending injuries managed to get on the podium chan berries came in 2016 it was awful he was in the form of his life six weeks before the Olympic Games and it all came crashing down he was in tears on the pit and his career could have been over and yes he's not quite back to his best height which is 239 but he took the European Indoor title in Glasgow earlier this year so there's a big story developing with both men that your career doesn't always have to be over after you've endured the heartache of surgery and missing an Olympic Games well on the times today are just so much different than they were 20 years ago some of these injuries that we've seen would totally sideline but they you know modern medical advancements and the different surgeries that these athletes are able to get and and they're getting those surgeries immediately after these injuries and I think that's really key because if then once you get the surgery then you have all that next year to get ready so it would be fantastic story of both these guys were in the medal count at the end thanks very much for now Dan we'll be hearing from the multiple world champion and the Olympic champion again as we watch Robinson yeah that's better just a a little momentary wobble at 2:19 just trying to set settle himself down yeah and just like in the women's equivalent everyone has cleared a height which is fantastic I was actually watching Robinson there he goes with a very very short approach just see the pressure on these limbs all gosh and what a camera angle he just turned his foot Denise just rolled it and he did well to not injure himself there so yeah he just threw him give a little bit of a grilling saw most yeah I was really fortunate though so we'll keep an eye on him and see whether that comes back in one of the other rounds but yeah really really short approach for a world-class my jumper really we're gonna keep an eye on that one the atmosphere will just gradually begin to grow around that first Bend no Desa cow the Belarusian there were flags and posters of him at the event known as the match back in Minsk on home turf early September i sat and watched that competition as part of my preparation for this and he was great value for that 235 he really was European silver medalist last year European under-23 gold this year I wonder if he could be the man to break the bar Shin fan club hearts this evening he's in shape yeah he is in the shape he's actually the world lead at the moment world lead 235 that's a couple of centimeters further than anyone else has done so far this year van Gogh he's in second position with a 233 in fact four out of these 12 guys have in the world top 10 so a few big misses in qualifying some of the bigger names didn't make it through but plenty of talent amongst those who did no just got that timing of that all wrong and what's interesting about that I've got no doubt that he'll get over to 24 but that little early cross could become very significant later on because if he ends up being a big player in the battle for gold that little technical mistake could be the difference between being joint second and finishing in fourth or fifth that's an early blow for the Belarussian it is we saw that in the men's and the women's pole vault didn't we go back to count back of course so yeah not a great start there for the Belarusian he'll look to improve in the next round back to Bosh in first attempt to 24 never Dallas totally different athlete the man we saw struggling to get over 224 earlier this season in his comeback meets clean card joint first at the moment but a long long way to go Commonwealth champion Brandon Stark going for its first attempt to 24 he's a different prospect this guy having has such a great 2018 now a little bit like nada' Sekou these early failures could prove quite significant come the business end and it's quite interesting Jenny that the early crosses have come from the DES account and Brandon stand two men who we think could be in the shake up to the medals well they'll have been following the form of their bigger names all season of course they have obviously been watching tombery they'll have been watching Basham for a number of years and perhaps they come here thinking they've got a really good chance of taking this title they'll have seen how good Tom berry and how abortion looked in qualification and this may have swayed them a little bit this might make them think actually I've come here and they're still in it so really interested to see how they'll progress the next few rounds so we see the show Munder himself he knows when to put the show on of course doesn't he but these are real concentration moments for Jamboree right now a lot of these high jumpers they have their own process their own mental build-up to this so it's just having a few moments think about that before he starts his next 224 attempt well it's a good one wasn't it [Music] we saw earlier that they all took markers down they'll measure things out either with steps or they'll do a certain amount of measurement with a tape measure and he looked like he got his run up absolutely spot-on the great clearance levan yuck europeans medalists last year second behind the desk cow in the match at minsk really big aggressive run-up lovely clearance from the authorized neutral athlete second best Jumper in the world this year and he clearly means business odessa cow and stark are the two big casualties early on they've only failed once just thinking in terms of the count back scenario should that become a factor later on Castro Rivero the Puerto Rican joint national record holder at 229 he really gave it the big wave when he was introduced to the crowd obviously a bit of a character cool vest as well I love that not to be so he'll have to come back for one more as Wilden Edessa cow and Brandon Stark they are the three men failing to get over to 24 at the first time of asking Rivera third chance to 24 oh what a shame he looked like he had it there you know he's a great character hey there's quite a few getting involved with that backwards somersault make the pan out final earlier this year Olympic final as well this is say us he won the PanAm title down in liebe really good competition that apparently never covered that but they dish out some really good performances in one or two of the events world junior champion three years ago they ass coridan fry they gave me at least evening been really impressed with this young athletes he added three centimeter tears personal bests what he did win the pan-american title is best being two meters 30 now and that was a nice 227 first time clearance as I asked so Mason it is the Canadian this is his first attempt that same bar height 227 he won the Paris Diamond League earlier this year and in fact he did finish in silver medal position behind Zayas that pan american games recently the here goes to 27 say results so as I asked Tom Mason both clear at 2:27 and you can hear the noise of the crowd is the abortion this is his first attempt 2:27 this young man walking the crowd is certainly doing that but what you can hear the chairs in the background into the stadium they've got a big screen and they call it must come so they're following him all eyes must at the bottom here in the arena the local have really packed into this stadium just evening they've come to see the neuro is really to fill me well so far acumen KOA is the authorized neutral athletes and that were the good clearance half man half beard full of heart gianmarco Chuck Berry looking for 227 surgery followed that awful injury in Monaco six weeks before the Olympics he was in the shape of his life he has come back to something like his best form taking the European Indoor title in Glasgow in March Tom berry no not this time now this is starting to get a little bit interesting because the subplot here of course the locals are all interested in Barcia but bonito paid you diligence to everyone first time failures from the DES account and Brandon Stark and now Tam berry and those little crosses might come back to give them a little proverbial bite come the count back situation for the medal as if it all gets a little bit tasty in an hour or so as time yeah Tamborine knows the significance of that first time fairly other this is in evoke and he goes clear so it's all getting tasty isn't it as we go through these bars in a Buch first hand Flynn was a to 19 to 24 and to 27 now back with the high jump champion remember missed at the first time of asking that's better he knows he's capable of 227 and quite frankly it's a more interesting final with him in it because he's such a character and always wears his heart on his sleeve as he showed them I'm not quite sure what he said into the microphone and we won't try and bring you that translation I'm sure it was all aboveboard but some well you barely need to say he's a character when you're looking at a man with half a beard but good to have him over that one stark third and final attempt 227 he's having a tough evening the Commonwealth champion but he lives to fight another day that's a great display of horsy guts and he's not out of this yet no Stark has already had six attempts at the bar that's in stark contrast today ass mason bar ship an acumen Co so far they've had three bar heights plead them all first time well Wonka is well this is his third attempt at 2:27 all in now the one [Music] he needs to clear this one [Music] and here we goes third attempt to 27.1 any rattles it doesn't he well that's a face of real disappointment as one exits the competition the Castro Riviera and wanked they've exited at 224 and 227 yeah you just see that is shoulder dipped doesn't have the height shoulders the first thing to touch the bar and so frustrating for Wang so Wang takes no further parts in that final now Robinson he needed to to get over to 19 so clearly not feeling totally comfortable here yet we lost our first competitor come on now let's see from the American goal oh dear oh dear look like he might have caught that with his cart wash him first attends to 30 clean card so far this is the photo they all want and his is the victory they are praying and hoping for but you don't just get handed a world title you have to earn it oh yes oh yes the defending champion is conducting the orchestra of the crowd and he is in joint first with the precocious young talent from Cuba that was impressive it was immediate look easy and that's actually a Steven bet I actually feel like commit a football match really now the whole of the crowd up on their feet and they're cheering Akeem anko world junior champion from five years ago yes this competition is coming alive and with just the right personnel it's a clean card and a season's best for bashing this is Brandon Stark needed three for 227 ah that's better that is really classy from Starke that takes real high jump cojones yeah that first time clearance is talking right back in there is shown on our computer as forth that's obviously because he's had some failures earlier in his cart but he's right up in the first hand clearance 230 Chuck Berry looking to join say us flashing a Kamenka and start over 230 absolutely packed here in the stadium believe it or not there are people queuing up to get in who said there was no atmosphere in Doha certainly not us because we've enjoyed a great atmosphere on numerous evenings but none more so than tonight and TAM Berry is playing his part in whipping up the crowd now can he join the first our clearance is all not this time but he has cleared to 32 this season he'll need to come back and do more one thing's for certain he'll milk it and he'll be good value even if he goes out but we'd love him to stay in the competition this is Nathaniel one of the best jumpers in the world this year has gone to 33 yes well it might not get up to a 37 or 38 or 39 but that doesn't mean it isn't going to be dramatic it's a four-way tie for the lead with a clean card all the way through for those men say us wash him Aki menko and now a ban you clear all the way up to and including 2:30 [Music] so this is Ned a stake out the Belarusian world ranked number one this season he's the only man in the world who was cleared more than 233 he's gone all the way up to 235 what can he bring now at this to 30 hides and he's clear well that was his second attempt it took him a second attempt to go over 24 27 and 30 he sits in six position so far and that's the difference between having a clean card and getting over 230 and having a couple of wobbles along the way this is the Malaysian Li second attempt for him couple of Southeast Asian Games titles huge event in that part of the world that would have been a lifetime best for Li so he's he's close to the top of the envelope fantástico leads because of this this really promises to be one of the best hi job competitions competitive wise that we've had for a number of seasons yeah I mean it's a different final to the one that would have unfolded say three four years ago when Bondarenko and bar Shem were tickling 244 fun but it means at 2:32 32 to 34 a lot more men are still in contention including mason of canada yeah Mason's had a great season silver in that Pan American Games he did that this year and two years ago in 2017 233 is his best 231 this season and he is operating around about his season's best there with that 2:30 Lee [Music] this remember would be a lifetime best No not to be [Applause] soli boughs out [Applause] confirmation the Malaysian is finished not managing to get over to 30 Dan O'Brien is down there amongst the drama and Dan so many men over 230 partially in top form the atmosphere is really beginning to buzz now around this event well it really is a women's discus going on here as well Perez she opened up with a big one I'll get over the high jump momentarily Perkovic a good opener as well you can see she's she looked a little stress in the warm-ups but over here in the men's hi Joe there is a lot of pressure and stress it was a Yas who looks like this pressure hasn't got to him at all akka menko has also certainly looked good here at 2:30 it's going to be a fun competition like you guys said I think you're absolutely right I don't think we're going to see things anything up around 240 but just like the men's decathlon when the favorite went out everything got really really interesting I just think it's going to take a perfect car probably through to 36 to win this thing Yvonne yuk he looks good very very focused and Aneta Socko he looks miserable and just determined after he had that one miss early on in the competition John were really enjoying this high jump I'd love to get your opinion on this amazing American duel about to unfold in the four hurdles what's your gut feeling between Sydney McLaughlin the youngster and to Lillard Muhammad the Olympic champion well the little Muhammad she delivered that world record at the US Championships but I think she had Sydney right where she wanted her she was two lanes in somebody was separating them DeLillo made a move very similar to what Nasser did in the 400 meters yesterday and Sidney responded too late I think Sidney has learned her lesson I think she knows she's head and shoulders above the rest of anybody in the world right now she's going to run a very quick race all the way through and not give anybody a chance to make a move on her I think this is Sidney McLaughlin she either breaks the world record or she challenges it brilliant analysis there from Dan O'Brien we're watching pictures of the high jump we were just getting his thoughts ahead of the eagerly anticipated women's 400 hurdles finals that's nada' Sekou one of the best jumpers in the world this year but he's had first-time failures at 24 27 and 30 so even though he has gone over and is equal in height to many of the others he's currently down in sixth because of those three first-time failures on the way up they asked the Cuban clean card bashing clean card a kumain KO clean card and so to Evangel so nada' Sekou is the first man to attempt to 33 and surely he has to clear this at the first time of asking if he is to jump up into a medal position because of all the first time failures he's had thus far this is big for the Belarusian because he would have arrived here in Doha believing he could take the gold as the best Jumper in the world this year let's see what he's got here under intense pressure [Applause] [Music] oh yes that's why he jumped to 35 in Minsk and all of a sudden the desk out the European under-23 champion is back in the game and back in the mix that is very very significant for this competition [Music] in Boston he's just telling the crowd [Applause] the support [Applause] the channel this stadium ring out [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] three right you're watching Friday night here in Doha it's the 2019 World Athletics Championships the stadium has been lit up by a world record and the home fans are focusing in on this great high jump competition once again this authorized neutral athlete adds to the intrigue and the drama Chambery opted to pass at 2:30 after one failure so we'll only have two attempts one more after this if he doesn't get it this is big no one last chance for him remember the reason I think he opted to pass that second attempt at 2:30 because so many men had already gone clear and he had been marked with a cross next to his name because he missed his first attempt at 227 so Tom berry is in Last Chance Saloon so just a reminder if Danielson 3rd he's yet to take his jump at 2:33 here he comes now giving himself a big talking to here incredible atmosphere in the stadium tonight we really hope you're enjoying this let's see if it man you can feed off the energy wall nearly nearly here it comes Ziya ass really talented youngster so his first failure cuban will have to further attempts it's definitely still in the mix for a medal Don O'Brien what a race ah run glad to hit your thoughts on the women's four hurdles and this high jump competition unfolding but first of all a word on Dalila Muhammad I thought that performance was even more impressive than when she won the Olympic title because McLaughlin was coming and yet the American the older woman held firm well I got the world record part right I just got the order incorrect guys but it was a really fun race to watch from down here and it was interesting at the US Championship when DeLillo broke that world record she was in Lane six she was in late for in Sydney was in Lane six and today that little Muhammad was in Lane six Sydney was in Lane four and she held her off she went out so hard she knew Cindy was Sydney was going to be behind her but it was a tremendous effort by de la Lala but she was just so strong in that last 100 you just don't see athletes hold it together when they go out quite that fast I assume that Sydney McLaughlin is going to do some race planning a little bit differently for next season when you got somebody like the little Muhammad that been up in front of you you got to make some changes in Sydney easily ran fifteen through eight hurdle she almost looks like she could run 14 but she's got to be thrilled with the silver and and the u.s. coming one and to those we've bounced over to the high jump a lot of activity here at this bar and bar Seamus is first failure he did look vulnerable on the first one but it was the first time that I didn't see him really have a smooth run we'll see if he can smooth this out he jumps from such a far distance out that he has to absolutely get it right but he's bringing a lot of good speed he'd looked like he had no hesitation on his run that particular time but his height his hip height was just about three inches too far in front of a bar I imagine he's going to get it right on the third time and this place is going to shake thanks very much tan we thought he'd just about done it and by the way he's now up to better heights than he's done since his surgery so he's really giving it a good go here Brandon stark encouraging the crowd to get involved it's absolutely packed tonight it's a great atmosphere they're willing on Bosh him who will have one further attempt now the Australian no nowhere near it on that occasion he lived dangerously 227 and he's going to need to come back for a third crack at 2:33 a key menko still leads because he hasn't had a single failure yet and he's clear at 2:33 nada' circle has moved up to second courtesy of his first time clearance at 233 and tied for third at the moment Ziya Tsukuba who has one attempt left and so to Emanuele and this is tan berry last chance for this charismatic Italian who follows in his father's footsteps his dad competed in the Moscow Olympic Games and as if the ground needed any further incentive to make noise the showman is making sure every single person has put their phones down and is paying full attention to this high jump competition some very must clear this to stay in the hunt of a world championship medal now or never for this huge personality come on Tom berry no not to be we'll get the dramatic reactions now but Tom Berry's quest is over but bearing in mind what a big personality he does have he'll probably stick around and insure the crowd are loving every second of the rest of the competition anyway yeah really fueled the crowd up they have come to the abortion but they appreciate another competitor here and what a great competitor he is this event was better because tombery was featured in it now this is a us in the high jump final he's tied for third with passion and needs this to keep his aspirations of a world championship medal alive a big PB to taint the pan-american title he's a former world junior champion massive talent is Cuban oh no no hope he's okay actually that like it may have hurt a little he might he might still get a medal here because he and bass him Andy Banyan are all tied [Applause] so far and they all [Applause] well Bassem has one attempt there so too Avani except they've both they all go out then all the share the Bronx you would think [Applause] like Mason could he fall sparsh him to go higher to secure himself a medal [Applause] this would equal the Canadians personal best [Applause] wonder Paris Diamond League [Applause] this to equal his lifetime best know a reflective wavin face there as he turns to the crowd yeah really tense moments and I was actually watching Brandon stark in the background as well he's got to attempt this for a third time he had his head in his hands something was watching might Mason has had that one right they all come to watch the poster boy the defending champion muchas Nessebar shin at the moment he has one hand on a bronze medal and he has the whole crowd sitting in his pocket here willing him on desperate to see him return to the time before so I'm challenging Sato miles world-record before a career-threatening injury washing to ignite the crowd oh yes oh yes cometh the hour cometh the man come up the home and if they didn't love him already they now everybody who is able to stand is on their feet here in the stadium watching joins the athletes have cleared to 33 we have not seen him jump this high since it bore his surgery he's delivering under immense pressure this is Emmanuel Kern attempt to 33 oh my goodness me passion for 235 oh my goodness me he's just gone into the gold medal position this is absolutely from the defending champion king unbelievable drama here in Johar well he would go to 35 I keep thank Allah clear [Applause] well 2:35 here we go and now we've got and that means that means aki menko is in the lead with bashyam second because aki meku has a clean card martian needed three attempts at 2:33 three men over to 35 and coming into this world championship final only one had scaled that high and it was this further the DES account he has opted to pass a 235 after a first time clearance in 233 you cannot take your eyes off the drama tonight for one single second it's day eight of the idol AF World Athletics Championships coming to you live and exclusive from Doha nada' SoCal needs this a personal best to stay in the mix no never close one more attempt for him not to at 35 and then came up to 37 who needs thought infinite Daniel sharing the silver move it [Applause] well three men clear now is 2:35 here in Qatar [Applause] caution [Applause] we're looking at America who thought he would never high jump again even getting to the start line in qualifying for this competition was a remarkable achievement July the second last year came career saving and called surgery now he has an entire nation and an entire stadium on their feet saluting his bravery his resilience and his determination to light up this IWF World Championships for the hosts first time clearance 2:35 the defending champion in the silver metal position at the moment surely he comes oh my gosh oh my gosh on earth his motifs as a bashyam doing this his career was over his dreams of glory lay in ruin in ruin and on this a night of nights in Doha once again scaled to the very top and looks in pole position for the gold medal Dan O'Brien down there hyejeong absolutely credible what's the atmosphere down there well guys this place is just absolutely shaking down here and it's interesting I think what's getting lost at all of this as well as the Cuban ladies in the discus are just putting on a clinic there now one two Cavallaro she leads Perez in second on the fourth and fifth farthest throws of the year but this high jump I said 236 you know I I got them I got the order wrong in the 400 meter hurdles spin and I was wrong about how high these guys were gonna jump in the high jump but it is in my opinion one of the best field events that we've seen as good as that pole vault was this is so exciting but four guys still jumping but only three medals up there on that podium the desica will have to come back down as a former world champion and Olympic champion how impressed are you that Barcia has come here and cleared 237 when upon arrival at this World Championship his best post surgery was 229 while very impressed you know you see him come in here with the person or the seasonal best that low and you think well you know maybe he doesn't have a chance but after the qualifying round he looked absolutely fabulous but you think about some of the advantages that he has going for him there's no reason for him not to just give it as all to last meet of the season it's here on his home track the young man is an aspire Academy graduate he trained in the grounds that we're standing on right now as a youth coming up and so he's got these fans behind him he's at home he's probably jumped hundreds of times on this surface so it doesn't surprise me that the man is all class as well a key Manko fails when his attempt this has been a simply extraordinary night of world-class athletics I can't remember a couple of hours as breathless and spine-tingling as this surely it can't get any better can it bar seems clear at 2:37 this is Emmanuel he's in second place overall can he join the homegrown hero no he can't one attempt left on the desk ow one attempt left for a Kimiko one attempt left for a valium in fact the desica of course failed once and then passed at 2:35 so it's the authorized neutral athletes as the only man left in a position to challenge varshan this this has been utterly utterly spellbinding Jenny Meadows world-class athlete world indoor bronze here world outdoor bronze in Berlin can you remember a night and an hour and a half like this I can't we looked at a schedule that have where we said it's only three hours tonight but we looked at the quality of these events and we knew it promised to be a thriller the women's born to be hurdles just blew us all away 3,000 meter steeplechase and no this meant I jumped a connect Oh No he's had a great competition and that would have given him a great chance against bass him first time clearances all the way through up to and including 235 so the world junior champion from five years ago London Birmingham Diamond League knows that he is on the podium and he is all but guaranteed the silver medal the only man who can stop the party but moods ass s Adashi is Ilya in baño last chance otherwise gold will go to cattle on this place when it rocks so close but not to be this has been absolutely incredible proportion his dreams of glory lay in tatters as his uncle needed reconstruction surgery so many months of rehab so many months
