Mega Snook Mission in Florida Backwaters | The Return of Monster Snook

[Music] w [Music] got [Music] him got one big one big one big one treb big one oh my gosh she inhaled it okay all righty guys welcome back to another video today obviously as you guys can see here we're on my paddle board uh I got my buddy Trevor filming with me today he uh he films all of nbn's content uh so our goal is to catch some some good fish on nlbn today uh check this out this right here in my hand is the 7in nlbn K tail it's a big bait but this is this is a big bass bait big snook bait today it's going to be used for big snook uh the number one goal is just to have fun today hopefully we knock out a giant snook but if yall know how snook fishing is uh it can it could be very difficult so this is the bait of the day we'll give it a go uh if you guys saw my video from I don't know a couple years back we knocked out a freaking monster I said it was 45 in and I I really think it was 45 inches I didn't measure it but uh it was the biggest snook of my life hopefully we can knock out one just like that here today and uh have some fun but man weather is beautiful not a cloud in the sky uh dead glass right now uh what is what time is it it's 8:00 right now so we're good to go uh it's been windy for so long the past like couple weeks so I'm excited today to come out here and uh knock out some fish so that's that I hope you guys enjoy today's video Trevor thank you for helping me out and uh let's get going let's find some fish maybe we'll find a tarpon a snook I don't know we'll just have to fish and find out that's how fishing goes but yeah let's do it let's find them whoa let's not get that on video oh let's go all right well we are in snooky territory here snooky snooky territory seen a couple so far but nothing has pulled the trigger got him dude he's huge he's huge oh my gosh we just hooked a monster going into the trees here we just hooked a monster try to not knock myself off or lose this fish oh he inhaled it I'm in a predicament here oh my gosh I cannot believe that snook just hailed it inhaled it absolute monster I'm losing my battle here saw him there floating up super super high made a decent cast rolled that K tail right in front of him he's huge he inhaled it almost thought he was about to Spook there and he inhaled it he's not putting or she I should say she oh my gosh she's Giant how about that one Trevor incredible that did not take long at all we've seen a handful floating water's a little cooler this morning so I'm expecting most of these giant snoke to be up on the surface let's just keep her glued keep her glued oh my gosh dude she's huge she's 30 lb she is 30 lb all day no way heck yeah I don't know if Trevor caught that he had the Drone above my head and I saw her I was like oh my gosh please eat this is going to be crazy but she's Towing me around dude she's not budging when I pull on her want her to go over to the Shoreline over it's real Sandy he's trying to get me up in the trees here went full circle are you recording that we're going to land this fish dude she pulled me so fast into the freaking rocks here this is is a mess the problem is these rocks are covered in oysters and I'm not wearing shoes and it's really muddy I might be able to grab her here though dude this is a mess just be careful she might take off again right towards you trying to pull myself up here on something solid to stand on dude that works I should have been ready for that I got my phone in my pocket I honestly didn't think I would hit the Rocks though I thought I could grab the tree first maybe we can land the fish right here yeah just forget the board we'll get it later okay dude this is no joke snook no joke Snook I'm soaked my phone's in my pocket hopefully that's straight I guess we have one of the biggest snoke of my life right here I'm a get her right here hey there it is Trev right there incredible 7in K tail right there that's a 30 lb fish all day on a 3500 spin Fisher homie what happened dog what a mess I had that fish the whole way and she just darted into the mangroves and uh took me with her to took me with her dude this thing is freaking huge oh my gosh I'm going to hold her up one time real quick you have the ruler on you yeah okay we're going to measure her too and then we're going to send her off on a release crazy crazy crazy fish that's what yeah this will work this will work well Trevor hooked it up with the nlbn ruler we're going to do our best here these rulers are waterproof let's see if I can get a decent measure measurement then we're going to send her off on their way my gosh try to get a rough estimate here we want to be very quick the ruler is a bit funky but shoot if I stretched it out perfectly she's probably about 42 oh that's going to be good enough for me 42 let to go ahead and pull that lure out and we'll send her on her way here all right that's that you ready Trevor we're going to release her absolute Behemoth she should be ready to go we haven't really taken her out of the water all but maybe 15 seconds for the whole whole fight but but she should be good to go here she's trying to kick away I just want to make sure she's sure of getting away before I let her go there she goes Trev mission accomplished homie I wasn't expecting to fall in the water I'm not going to lie I feel a little clumsy and dumb on my part but I should have known better when that snook was sending me up into the mangroves there at probably 4 mes hour and I hit Rock dead stop just keep on going and there it is 7in K tail incredible this is like a kind of a a gold dark brown color perfect for this watercolor it's dark I'm sure these fish are feeding on uh tilapia and mullet and mine cichlids and everything in this bra brackish water it's it's just perfect so honestly that was that was all I was going for today and that was the first fish of the day we still have plenty of time to fish we might not catch another fish but jeez 42 in ain't all that bad all right let me get back on the paddle board that was epic that was so sick oh well I survived back on the paddle board here thank God my foot didn't get cut because like them rocks I fell on were full of oysters and somehow someway I escaped them and we're okay I didn't I could have cut my foot pretty dang bad right there but that's snook sent me like into the basically the the trees there at like probably four or 5 miles an hour and then just boom dead stop and it's just how it goes sometimes man how it goes I'm soaked but that was my best fish of the Year probably the best fish in like the last couple years I feel like incredible a giant 42in snook sight fished on uh aure nlbn K tail but we got it done I just need to retie the leader here we'll keep back we'll get back to fishing and dude if I could get one more that'd be crazy but I'm super happy with that one check that out I'm needing toes high but she frayed me up 78 in there the mouth no joke was like this big and like this deep like it could fit a 14-in mullet she could fit a 14-inch mullet no problem she is a big girl so all right I'm going to well I'll probably retie my entire leader here because if I trim it right here past the uh Fray section it'll be a little bit too short for me this is 50 lb floor carbon if I didn't mention that earlier I believe it's Berkeley vanish but man we got it done we got it done that was I can't say enough that was sick well every KN you tie you just never know if you'll be trusting it for a a true monster so tie every knot with care you just never know when it's going to happen so my best tip about tying leader knots is take your time oh see see right there something was wrong with my braid did you catch that Trevor I did something was wrong there I might have been putting too much pressure on it but test it's very important yep something with the braid there [Music] there's one right in front of [Music] me [Laughter] oh oh my gosh no that follow was glued another big one I got to tighten up a little bit let's keep her glued oh my gosh oh she's Towing me now I got to be ready for anything here I think I'm going to sit down honestly we're going to fight this one in the Grandpa's seat she's big she ain't as big as the last one but she's Towing me no she real big oh my gosh no she's really big don't want her getting me up in the trees big big girl okay she's bigger than I thought thank God she turn she's actually going over towards Trevor big girl dude they're chewing today chewing I'll tell you what it is awkward fighting from a paddle board super awkward she's going to try to get me up in these mangroves don't do it to [Applause] me yeah she sent me up in them let's just keep her out of the trees I got to body her here she's out to my right and I can't go in reverse oh my gosh come on I'm going to keep dropping back to dropping down low oh my gosh he's huge okay I think I can get this one without falling in the water I hope I hope she looks like she's about 40 come on she's Towing me she's Towing me I can pretty much grab her right here she's barely hooked too come on girl yo no way dude she's might she might be bigger oh my gosh dude this is a freaking [Music] monster all right guys well we steered our way over to the Shoreline here and I didn't realize this fish was like as big as the last one she might be a little a little shorter maybe but almost as heavy like that is a no joke snook right there no joke uh I can't stress this enough I understand pictures with big fish just try to keep them in the water as much as you can except for like right now when we're grabbing a quick pick and uh we're going to measure her and then we're going to send her on her [Music] way oh all right we're putting her on the ruler here staying wet this is a much better measurement but it looks like she is well she's 40 on the dot 40 pretty much on the dot all right so we're going to pop her out here come on big girl she's H pretty pretty good come on all right so we did our best the whole time keeping her uh keeping her wet in the water while we took a picture got her measurement and we'll send her on her way the back is just insane on this fish incredible like incredible weight on a 40-in Nook right here she's heavy all right she's kicking off there she didn't really want to kick I guess the water was a little bit shallower I probably should have walked out to like a foot and a half before I released her but she's off now I can barely see her anymore beautiful snook I mean 40 in on the dot and I that fish felt almost as heavy as the 42 so two incredible fish I literally cannot believe it couldn't have asked for anything better it was an awesome day so far and uh can't be that all right well second fish oh second fish down there we were kind of laughing because we just I just realized this is a r nlbn red fish ruler I left the snook one at my house because I I I'm in the paddle board today usually it's in the ginu but shoot it got it done anyway and obviously one of my favorite things about the uh the NL nlbn ruler is that it's like water waterproof so like we can put the ruler just like in the water here lay the fish on top and it's like the fish doesn't have to go like onto the sea deck or like another part of the boat or non skate or whatever so this is a really great option obviously the baits I'm using today ruler nlb.com but uh yeah man pretty solid uh peaceful equipment if you you know you want to be and take as much care uh as you can with uh with fish when you're measuring them and I usually don't even measure fish unless they're like true Giants but uh yeah I'm pretty pretty much speechless honestly I hope the footage speaks for itself well guys we absolutely got it done today um honestly was the best I could possibly ask for um not a lot of action other than all the action if that makes sense other than those two fish there wasn't anything else I didn't lose anything I didn't get any bites that I miss I just caught the fish that you know gave me an opportunity and once again probably for like the 20th time this video nlbn Kil 7 iner uh got it done I caught both fish with this today and uh both of them inhaled it just below the surface swimming it for the most part I was swimming it pretty quickly uh I always with snook I always try to get them uh to come up and kind of you know maybe get it get them up and excited for the bait and you know I feel like snook always likes something that is up and moving quickly looks like it's trying to get away from them and that's always what I try to mimic with with with any bait snook fishing so that got it done I figured I'd mention the setup real quick I didn't really mention much today at all but we caught two giant snook on the uh pen finfisher 3500 right here uh one of my favorite and uh this was a 30 lb braid and then a 76 Fenwick Elite inore right here this is a medium heavy so I've been rocking this set up a lot lately and uh for Snook it was just about perfect so honestly today went so much better than I could have ever imagined um best fishing day I've had in probably years honestly and big
