come into the virtual house of the lord in the land of the living so father thank you so much that you do all things well and that you provide us with the kind of insight and the kind of comprehension to be able to receive your word do you want to prophesy to the people say hello this is zion the lord said never mind god bless you thank you jesus amen zion is here with me today it's a family affair and uh we're gonna jump into the word of god you just young prophet god's gonna use you once your voice turns into something else i am so glad uh that you are here with us today do me a favor hit that that proceeds out of the mouth of god and this is the day that you and i are going to come into greater revelation concerning our purpose all right so i i want to just dive into something that i think is uniquely important but before i do again hit that share button let's take this conversation uh i want to talk to you tonight about the battle for belief the battle for belief and i think that this is really the the proper time really a significant season in the life of all believers honestly as most people are trying to come to grips with what they believe in and who they believe in oftentimes we find ourselves in a wrestling match if you will internally trying to decide what we're going to cling to but tonight i want to make sure that you have enough information that you would be able to hold on to the things of god all right so we're going to jump right into this uh i'm talking about the battle of belief here we go i want to start this conversation by talking about fear can you just write that down take good notes the word fear i believe that fear obviously like the apostle paul said that fear is a spirit that did not come from god god has not given you the spirit of fear but of love power and a sound mind and any time that fear begins to be like a terrorist in your life if you're honest oftentimes fear feels like a terrorist please write that down fear feels like a terrorist and because fear feels like a terrorist and at times it feels like the onslaught of all of the things that you fear coming upon you job said the thing that i feared the most it came upon me when fear begins to grip your heart it begins to grip your soul the first thing that comes under assault is belief i'm going to get there in a second but i want to make sure that you understand that fear is persistent please write that down fear is persistent fear is a spirit that grows and gathers more friends like itself what does that mean pastor what that means is is that the longer you live in fear the fear of failure the fear of marriage the fear of commitment the fear of falling down the stairs the fear of eating fish i don't know what your greatest fear is but whatever your fear is if you don't take authority of that that fear is going to mutate and bleed out into other areas of your life all right so i want to just i want to bring this to your attention that fear is persistent write write this down fear is always future focused fear is always future focused because fear is always future focused it plays tricks on the mind which means that that fear is always attempting to predict what is coming in the future based on what has or has not happened in your past or present i'm gonna say it again fear tries to grip the future by mentoring you with your past and your present events that have taken place in your life what does that mean that means based off of what you have outlived what you've gone through or what you're currently going through based off of how you feel about that moment or the moment that has passed fear will try to grip you and grab your heart to paralyze your future i need to make sure you thoroughly understand this please hit the share button i got to make sure that you understand this fear is trying so persistently to use your past and your present against you to you in the future what does that mean all pastors are this way all men are that way all women are this way and when you start to allow yourself to believe the propaganda that fear begins to mentor the soul in you will develop a prejudice about the future hopefully that makes sense fear is persistent enough to birth prejudices does that make sense fear is persistent enough and it develops a prejudiced attitude so you've got to be careful for unchecked fear so fear is always future focused it tricks the mind into predicting the future by what has or has not happened yet here's the next thing that you need to know we're about to dethrone fear out of your soul all right so give me about another 25 minutes you can get right back to click bait amen you'll be fine lock in with me here we go the second thing you need to understand about fear is that it activates survival instincts without your permission fear activates survival instincts without your permission here's why that happens that happens so that the enemy can begin to fight you over stuff that doesn't exist now i know i'm talking better than what you're saying amen when the enemy tries to make you go into survival mode when there's abundance present it is a terroristic act that makes you swing on nothing is quiet in here fear will try to make you go into survival mode when there is abundance and it will have you swinging on people swinging on instances proverbially fighting things when there's nothing to fight fear will have you hoarding unto yourself when excess is available this is this is blessing me fear will have you hoarding unto yourself your own emotions your own perspective now you won't tell anybody how you feel because you fear you'll be misunderstood because you've air quote always been misunderstood so fear begins to mentor you by crippling your vulnerability and now you're solid as a rock and not the rock that jesus planted the church on i'm talking about that cold calloused heart that now you are unmovable when genuine people come into your life to love you say man lights that's what happens when you allow fear to be louder than favor this is what happens when you allow fear to be louder than the future fear will have you moving in survival mode when abundance is present come here let me help you so what happens is that fear will be break out in your life to such a degree that you'll find yourself in a bible-believing church it's quiet now have some coffee you'll find yourself in a bible-believing church and when god sends an elder or or an executive or whoever to bring correction to you or or affirmation to you the first thing you'll do if you are living in fear is that you will discount the authenticity of the interaction i know you got to be tracking with me now what happens is is when fear is the lord over your law and over my life when fear is the lord over your life then it will have you when god sends godly interactions to you you will second guess and disqualify the interaction that has been godly sent because you have had a wound and it was medicated by fear and now you have become infected infected with this paranoia that is paralyzing pastor donny say amen i said when you are in fear it is because of a wound a cut a drop i can't believe they dropped me can't believe they abandoned me can't believe they ain't with me can't believe can't believe can't believe can't believe can't believe and when you can't believe to the point of what happened to you the enemy because fear is a foul spirit it's it's it's demonic the enemy will give you an antibiotic called fear that fear festering in an open womb the whatever happened to your life will paralyze your perspective and keep you from moving forward in quality godly relationships hit that share button because and i would i need you to tag like three or four people because you know a couple of scaredy cats that need to find some healing hey man here we go let's go a little further so you've you've got to first embrace that it is possible that you are living in operating in a spirit of fear fear keeps you from tithing fear keeps you from congregational worship fear keeps you from konaniya it keeps you from from the church it keeps you from godly fellowship fear keeps you from accountability fear keeps you from vulnerability fear keeps you from submission i don't know why i kind of feel like preaching and this ain't the night for that if you're not careful fear will turn good news into grief news i can't get no help i said if you're not careful please put this in the comments i want to slow walk you through it i'm doing my best to pace myself but i kind of want to flip this table over if you're not careful fear will turn good news into grief news what does that mean what that means is god could make a good announcement in your hearing and if you don't have the right ears if they've been clogged up with the spirit of fear based off of yesterday's abandonment yesterday's drop yesterday's disappointment yesterday's cheated on yesterday's bad batch of weed wherever you are if you allow fear to stay in your ear good news will turn into grief news because it will be hard for you to believe that god through his servants have announced expansion growth miracles favor and all of this the devil will have you writing down on your social networks as if it's another cliche moment can i tell you the spirit of fear has even run upon and arrested some men of god that they no longer want to declare things that god has birthed in them because it sounds like cliche to you and and the spirit of fear well then you shouldn't be afraid you should just declare well let me suggest to you that sometimes where there is no anticipation of favorable outcome you almost silence the voices that god has put in your life because you have become like a bag with holes that anything deposited will be discounted because you're waiting for bad to be believable lord help me jesus it's just it's nothing more than a spirit of fear so so you must first learn to how to encounter and how to rightly divide and destroy the spirit of fear there's a couple of things that i i want to suggest you that's just a brief introduction the next few uh examples i think are going to bring you into greater clarity of the content john chapter 11. john chapter 11. i want to take you to verse number 39. john chapter 11 verse let's do john chapter 11 verse 35 very familiar passage of scripture jesus wept and then the jews said see how he loved him and some of them said could not this man who opened the eyes of the blind also have kept this man lazarus from dying verse 38 then jesus again groaning in himself came to the tomb it was a cave and a stone lay against it 39 jesus said take away the stone martha the sister of him who was dead said to him lord by this time there's a smell he's been dead four days watch what jesus says i'm almost there jesus said to her did i not say to you that if you would believe you would see the glory of god pastor brandon how in the world do i overcome a spirit of fear you must be open to receiving belief belief fear is the antagonistic one to your belief system fear is fighting your belief watch i can prove it in the text let me slow walk it for you they are assuming based off of timing i want to talk to all the people that are that are completely stressed out over time this this group of people are irritated about timing because they know the relationship jesus has with lazarus and they begin because of the past i already talked to you about when you've got fear of the past you will pre-calculate and miscalculate the future they're bringing up jesus's past and they're mixing it with their fear because they are essentially saying this man should have been able to raise the dead because he opened blinded eyes and they're bringing an accusation to him based off of him being late to the appointment so fear has now partnered with the past miracle be careful mixing your fear and your faith you better hear me all nations memphis whether you want to say amen or not you better hear me as your pastor currently and still on forward you have got to understand that fear mixed with faith becomes disbelief fear i i lord please do it you got to make a way but if he don't i'm under i understand oh wait guess i don't deserve that fear mixed with a little bit of faith or religion turns into disbelief here we go how can you say that pastor that ain't the text read a little further verse 40. and jesus said to her uh lady didn't i tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of god the the antithesis to your fear is your ability to believe please hear me believing destroys boulders come here believing destroys boulders how can i prove that when jesus steps on the scene he says roll the stone away you don't roll the stone away unless you believe the man has authority to overcome the stench hear me he's been dead so long they're not believing for resurrection they're embarrassed about the stench and i want to talk to the stinky believers i can't get no help i said i want to talk to the stinky believe believers you smell like jack daniels and you smell like a weed brownie and you smell like cussing and you smell like fussing you smell like discord huh yeah you smell like like like old gossip i want to talk to the stinky believers it's not about you being resurrected it's the fear that somebody would smell you i i i want to announce to you that fear has a smell the sister of lazarus is no longer concerned about resurrection she is frustrated over his attempt to expose the stench and i'm telling you now surely as jesus is lord that if you are going to believe god he's got to overcome you've got to let him overcome that stinky fear that stinky fear of embarrassment that stinky fear of being corrected that stinky fear of vulnerability that stinky fear of public speaking just come out all of those fears bottled that that fear of not having the one you love the most that that fear that if it ain't your pastor preaching then it must not be the word of god you foul spirit of fear that would try to grip god's people and paralyze them in their present trying to keep them out of the future we take authority over this up out of your belly will flow rivers of living water and by the faith of that water may you drink and never be dehydrated again and the people of the lord said amen all right let's go a little further come out of these people fear all right let me give you another scripture let me give you mark chapter nine let me give you mark chapter let's go to verse number 21. no i'm lying i don't want to do 21. let's do [Music] verse 16. mark chapter 9 verse 16. mark chapter 9 hit the share button mark chapter 9 verse 16. and he asked the scribes what are you discussing with them he's talking to the scribes then one of the crowd answered and said teacher i brought my son whom has a mute spirit and whenever it seizes him it throws him down he foams at the mouth he gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid i don't mean to talk about how you act in worship foams at the mouth gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid so i spoke to your disciples that they should cast it out but they could not verse 19. he answered him and said o faithless generation how long will i be with you how long shall i bear with you bring him to me then they brought him to him and when he saw him immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming at the mouth please stop being surprised that when you get closer to the presence of the lord sometimes things get worse why does that still surprise you clearly this boy that's already got a devil housed on the inside of him as he gets closer to jesus he manifests violently can i just pull the covers off of this principle that the closer you get to the presence of the lord it may not always be streamers and balloons and party hats sometimes getting closer to god makes you feel rigid gnashing of teeth and foaming at the mouth all of these are manifestations of something that's trying to discourage your belief system if you pay attention to the text closely you will see that the manifestations of this demonic presence that makes the father question his belief is manifesting in front of the son of god i wish you could hear me when god gets ready to give you a miracle the enemy in front of god will try to make you disbelieve by manifesting violently and because you want god to solve your problems immediately god still wants to ask investigative questions not so he can gather information but so that you can learn more about yourself so you can cast this devil out i can't get no help because if this father has enough faith to come to jesus then he should have had enough faith to cast the devil out let's move a little bit further then they brought him to him and when he saw him immediately the spirit convulsed him and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming at the mouth so we asked his father during the middle of this manifestation of demonic power jesus is asking investigative questions you have got to learn to embrace the questions of god he is not trying to learn more about you he's trying to reveal more of him to you let's go further so he asked the father how long has this been happening to him he's about to uncover the belief system here we go how long has this been happening to him and he said from childhood jesus asks a time sensitive question the father gives a time sensitive answer that's about to give us a logical window into why he's so frustrated here we go and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him but if you can do anything have compassion on him and help us out what the father is is regurgitating to jesus is that his expectation for freedom is in prison by a warden called fear he just gave jesus the sob story that has no hope why because fear tries to mentor you through the past to paralyze your future and only because of these in inquisitive questions is he able to walk into another belief system you have got to not be so grown that can't nobody ask you questions [Music] i said you have got to have enough humility that you're never above being questioned if somebody asks you a question because of the deficit that you're in and the first thing you think or say is i wish you'd just help me well i get to answer all that forget it just just keep it forget it that is a direct manifestation of the of a spirit called pride because sometimes through investigative questions you're going to come face to face with you before you see the solution so jesus wants to deal with the dad before he gives deliverance watch what happens he says from childhood this has been happening oftentimes in fire and water it tries to kill him if you can do something just have compassion and help us out he didn't even say set him free he just said help us out watch what jesus said jesus said to him if you can believe all things are possible to him who believes jesus is saying just believe you don't even have to do just believe hear me he is standing in front of the greatest truth teller known to mankind and he's saying just believe me and you're going to see the impossible become possible immediately put it in the comments immediately put it in the comments immediately immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears lord i believe help my unbelief he's saying what you are suggesting lord i want in but i'm afraid because i've had a past experience with fear and i was dropped by the disciples what we would call dropped in 2021. the disciples dropped me because they couldn't cure my baby so i believe you because what you're saying sounds good right now but i can't forget the disappointment of the past and fear is the warden standing at the gate so i believe but you got to help my unbelief pay attention to the text elder tawan you're going to like this the boy's deliverance is attached to somebody else's belief system i i wish i could get some help i want to know who's in bondage because you don't believe i want to know who is still in sin because you don't live out what you say you believe i want to know who is waiting for you to come into a divine agreement with god concerning their situation or have you already earmarked who cannot oh you know they got a stank attitude i can't help them child i don't know tell them i just stay away keep my dis staying away i wish somebody would become intercessor on behalf of the gossiper on behalf of the whoremonger on behalf of the drug dealer i i do you just have a space to believe god i want to throw this coffee just lay your hands on your heart and say i believe god what does it cost you to believe i'ma tell you you have got to get that spirit of fear up out of your belly so you can believe again he said i believe but you got to help my unbelief and when jesus saw that the people came running together he rebuked the unclean spirit saying to it deaf and dumb spirit i command you come out wait don't go too far i command you come out come out of him and enter him no more then the spirit cried out and convulsed him greatly there has never been a devil to defeat jesus but jesus cast his spirit out and it acts up one more time in the presence of the lord stop being discouraged when it seems like things mess up one more time man preach to yourself never mind i should have saved this for me stop stop being discouraged don't hit the abort button don't throw away what god is about to do because it looks like things just got worse in the face of god it convulsed one more time it shook one more time screamed one more time and after that jesus said i command you enter him no more then the spirit cried out it was loud it convulsed greatly but it came out of him and he became as one dead that many said he died and jesus took him by the hand lifted him up and he arose watch what the disciples said and i'm done the disciples said uh how come we couldn't do this jesus said well first of all i already told you you were faithless so i imagine that the next set of instructions that jesus is about to give he's about to tell them what to have faith in he's saying this kind only comes out by fasting and praying here's what you need to know you have got to conquer your fear of fasting and praying you you faithless generation you couldn't cast this baby out you couldn't cast this devil out how come you don't fast and pray this kind only comes out by fasting and praying you have got to attach your faith to your fasting and your prayers and when you do this your belief system comes alive you cannot create a miracle with your own hands please write this down i need to help you fasting faithing and praying creates an unstoppable belief in god and when you believe god all things are possible father thank you for this moment thank you for this opportunity for what you have done i thank you god that you're about to resurrect the belief system of your people in jesus mighty name we pray amen i just want elsie to come on stage i look much better when she's standing with me uh we absolutely love you all we are praying for you all that you would not be bound by fear any longer and i just believe that god is going to bring you into a healthy context of believing him once again here's what i want you to do i want you to just leap off this stage and believe god i'm joking just get ready to believe god that's a good lesson don't believe foolishness all rest of the week i don't care if you fast three hours six hours a whole day but do do yourself a favor and fast have faith and begin to seek the lord in prayer do not try to make a miracle with your own hands but as you incorporate these three principles in your life the text says that belief comes alive and i believe that god will assist you in the areas of unbelief it is losing its hold on your life you are not abandoned you are not dropped you are not forgotten don't cling to those aspects of those wounds of fear it's festering and it smells infected if god said that we are in a season of growth and expansion don't you dare allow what happened two years ago five years ago with the last whatever don't you dare allow that stuff to you if we are moving forward in faith then everything you
