foreign how are we doing you're good not so good A bit meh let Uncle Adam know now we're going to do another fast food copycat video today on my double sausage egg McMuffin video I left a pin comment uh basically asking you what are the McDonald's items you want me to tackle and a few of you wanted me to do this the double cheeseburger they're very easy to make and the best thing about it is well these cost 199 which is pretty cheap on its own but I can replicate this for much less well half the price we're going to get them in a quid each which is going to make a heck of a difference when no one's got any of this at the minute let's go make some McDonald's at home you'll be sniffing around my ankles won't you because because of flipping beef you need your nails clipping me come on then and here we have the iconic brown paper bag just as that McDonald's smell now these are Stone Cold now but unfortunately that's one of the consequences of filming but the 199 each let's have a look what we're dealing with I've got the bun obviously and underneath we've got two very thin patties two bits of cheese some diced onion ketchup a couple of pickles and they're supposed to be mustard on there I'm sure yeah I know there's none on here is there that's right look mustard yeah diddle me out look anyway no point moaning about it because we're gonna make our own anyway mints first thing we're going to do is make the burger patties just some Cheapo mince from lidls this was two pounds 15 for 500 grams now it's got quite high fat content but for a burger that's what you want if the beef is too lean it's going to dry out so 25 20 is kind of what you're looking for and I'm gonna weigh these at exactly the same is the uh sausage patties for the muffins I made so aim for about 62 grams per Bowl well that's way too much yeah you can see how portion of them is there now you'll notice that the balls are quite loose quiet you snigger in at the back it's always the same faces isn't it fingers on lips if you work the meat too much they'll become tough and not very nice so keep it kind of loose and then we're gonna make a patty form it together a little bit roll it in your hand I've got some bacon paper and place it on the top another one on top if you've got a burger press use that but mine's packed away so just use a heavy pan and just kind of Squish it down you want them quite thin but also make sure they're wider than the bun because obviously they're going to shrink in the pan a bit foreign ly stacked up and then just whack them on a plate they can hang out in the fridge for a bit I'd say give it like 20 30 minutes it's just going to firm them up a bit which makes them easier to cook and whilst you're in they get on and do the other bits and pieces dice up the onion which you want nice and fine really I've noticed in the um in the McDonald's version The Onion is very very fine slice up your gherkins or if you live in America it's called a pickle I use these cheap ones from lidl's and they work just fine and at this point as well I'm going to toast my bun if you're going to do this at home toast your bun in the residual fat when you fry off the burgers the only reason I'm doing it now it's purely for filming reasons it just makes my life a bit easier would you kind of done a bit of prep we can now actually make some burgers got my patties out the fridge I'm only going to use two I'll put the rest in the freezer probably so on with a gas and once that pan is nice and hot down with our first Patty you shouldn't need any oil if you're using leaner mints then maybe just a touch of oil down with the other one season one side with salt and a good few twists of black pepper that's all the seasoning you need on a good beef burger don't go over the board less is more and leave them to cook most of the way on one side to get that nice gorgeous caramelization literally like a minute and 30 seconds these are going to be done then we can add the cheese other burger patty on top other piece of cheese I'm going to turn the heat off pop a lid on it and in about 10-15 seconds that cheese is going to be melted then we can build this sucker go in with a patties and cheese then on the other half of the bun I'm going to add a few splodges of ketchup with your ketchup we can use Heinz if you want but I flat out reviews to pay their extortionate prices but who knew your boy Marks and Spencers have come through 90p that and I'm adding mustard to my McDonald's same again from Marks and Spencers I think this is about 195 for a for a bottle I'm gonna add a couple of blotches of that bit of onion a couple of three pickles because these are quite small then plug the lid on [Music] funnily enough like a cheeseburger we're flipping tasty one a fraction of the cost super cheap super tasty and look I'm not knocking McDonald's but if you can make it at home for half the cost it's a winner isn't it a bit cheeseburger oh take that as a yes no cheese on that bit though because you're not supposed to have cheese okay like it I think you do so there's another McDonald's menu item that we've tackled the double cheeseburger you've got any other fast food items that you want me to tackle let me know in the comments but listen I'm gonna go remember to like share subscribe thank you very much share these recipes to your friends family and of course the people in need hot and sweaty now your gorgeous faces next time bye for now [Music]
