Mavic Air 2 Test Flight Ended in DRONE CONFRONTATION (drone police)

in this video I will share a drone confrontation that happened to me and that I luckily caught on camera so I can show you what could happen when you're out flying with your drone I'm in regulation official Danish TDI distribution they decided to reach out to me and offer me to borrow American 2 for a couple of days even before they are available in the stores that was a perfect opportunity for me to get some footage and some videos done before everybody else got their hands on this drone I was super excited and I only had the drone for three days so I had to cram in a lot of stuff there to get the best out of it but I decided one of the first videos that I wanted to was a first flight video basically just to kick some times and to show everybody what the first flight experience would be with this drone so I decided for the topics and the first flight video I was not sure about the location just so just to be on the safe side I booked three locations I booked my home I put the parking lot that's pretty close by and I booked the area close to where I live at ashram Lake if you're a certified pilot and have a mission within the city zone you need to notify the police at least 24 hours in advance but because there was less than 24 hours until I should record the video I had to call the police and inform them that I would be flying in the area in case of complaints I also checked the website only law firm DK which I would link in the description below that is a tool that drone pilots like me can use to sort of see if the areas that you're planning to fly is under certain restrictions and the website clearly confirms there were no flying restrictions and s from lake apart from the other side of the lake at the forest area and the southern part of the lake that is all protected nature areas where you need a special permission to fly finally I made sure to register the drone at the official authority getting a registration number and putting my name and phone number as well as the registration number on the drone so everything was according to the book I was pretty unlucky with the weather when their borrowing the drone at least in the beginning so it was around dinner time when I could record the first flight video so I kind of figured it was Friday afternoon at the dinner time so I wouldn't use my own house as the place where I would sort of test out the drone so I moved on to the parking lot but unfortunately there was people down there that has decided to do some sort of activities that I couldn't really use that spot that only left me with a front leg as the last option and that would be a even more ideal location because it's remote and the chances of disturbing people were little boy was I wrong about that assumption so I've got everything ready I got the GoPro on the chest the couple max of accordingly and the remote and I had to do some more action as the face cam I was recording the screen and I had my lapel mic on the chest as well so everything was ready so I fired up the drone so I took off and started to test out some of the functionality of the drone and in case you missed the video because it actually includes subscribing to my weekly tips tests and tutorials but the first 15 20 minutes that it went pretty smooth I was pretty happy with the response of the drone and also what they were calling said that I made it for this video but then at some point I spotted somewhere on the screen that there was a guy approaching in a blue jacket and there's nothing peculiar in having a blue jacket it was only when he stopped at the brink of ashram lake and started to pull out his binocular having to look at the area and scouting for stuff out there and I could easily see that he was not looking for Perth's he was properly looking for the drone and you know when you see a reaction like that that is trouble so basically two things could happen now he would either move on and maybe call the police or he could approach me directly but I decided to continue recording my video because you as an audience is important to me and I really wanted to finally say this video at least you have one shot at the first flight video maybe it was the part where I jumped on the break running the slow motion just to show you the effect affair the 240 FPS that the America air 2 is capable of that sort of to come and approach me I don't know but then fully concentrated operating the drone still over the water I heard this he starts by saying you know you're not allowed to fly drones here I will play the full clip for you and because it's in Danish it does not make much sense to you so I will stop in between and narrate the parts so you actually know what's going on I must say even if I knew this could lead to a confrontation I was caught a little bit off guard and there that's also what you're going to see in the clip that I actually made a big mistake at least in my own opinion was to start a discussion with this guy and this is what happened next dem serie and then he says no you not and then I asked him who says that and then it tells me this is a conservation area and you're not allowed to fly or forests and lakes the possessive Dipsy the deep bunker mep and then he says it's common knowledge that you're not allowed to fly your drone or legs and forest can ordinary mister the toil of paper with a dedicated team won't go to Expedia and then I tell him if he knows the website that day I've been used for qualifying the area where I'm flying yes I know this but and you shouldn't be a wise guy so you see ya soon but the way he liked you before is gone these states are more difficult then I think this L committee he will score a court then he reiterates that I'm not allowed to fly over forests and lakes because it's government property and then he continues think if everybody just could say that that would be pretty annoying it's boys like me yeah thank you Sevilla P Thomas door yeah you're not allowed and I have to ask you to cease the operation then I told him I would do that when I was done everything could have ended there but I simply couldn't let it go because I thought this was not very reasonable so I said to him but you're not right Maynard wise I got yo yeah right yeah take a tack operator with but it keeps going on he said where do you have this idea that you are allowed to fly in this area let me took it a throw up but one of the Omaha and the tool yeah - he'd shoot me the truth and then I made a small mistake starting to it sort of explained or justified the area say that I knew the regulations around the area but when I realized that I stepped back and said to him that we could continue this discussion in a while when I was at back safe on the ground but if I take advantage because y'all can we tell you Mike you and then he reiterates nicely that I'm not allowed to fly over forests and lakes and I should read up on the matter I think that's how it did you see really well they want one and then I had it then I had it with this guy then I said rubbish rubbish rubbish rubbish because this was simply too much and this dude he wouldn't go away okay now father Vienna yeah and then he says it doesn't help you to say it that way and okay of course maybe he was writing a bad part but he knew the rules and then he was pulling out the big guns because he says I'm a nature photographer and I know everything about the rules and you are not gay permission to fly in areas like this only if it's business related and that was my cue because of course it was business related I'm recalling videos from a YouTube channel I am earning money on my YouTube videos I'm a professional certified pilot so of course it was business related but he was just assuming I was a private guy out flying my drone just to annoy the birds in the area the way only for the effort yeah a little bang the hind foot and then it says then you need a special permission and I jump maybe into a little bit of a fast conclusion he said of course I have that but what I meant about that was that I have all the paperwork done that they made it illegal for me to fly there be at the Indian land video production and then he continues what are you actually going to use this footage form and then I start to explain because he caught me a little bit of God this is part of a video production but then I came to realize that test was actually none of his business so that's what I took to him he was he not care would they have I asked about its event and because he was a native photographer he kind of realized that he overstepped it at that point that someone who say don't so you know they own and this discussion was going nowhere so I just said oh yeah whatever Trevor but before leaving he had to reiterate that he had informed me that it was not allowed to fly our lakes and forests and I should read up on it what do you think have you experienced any confrontations there like this and how did you handle them let me know in the comment below I'm really eager to hear your experience so that was a pretty intimidating experience I was a lot more fierce in reality than what shows on the video and I also decided to blur out the face of the Birdman because this video is not about him it's more about the ways that you approach drone pilots in general I had people confront me before with the drone flying but normally they could be reasoned with and you could show them what's going on on the screen and you could have a discussion about this and everything was nice and dandy but the Birdman you couldn't reason with this guy and it was a big big mistake from my side looking back at the footage that I actually went into a full discussion with this guy trying to convince him that day I had my right I just simply have told him that there I am was flying according to their daily stroll knows if he disagreed with that he should call the police directly and if you refuse to do that I would have called the police myself but you have to imagine that I was doing this full recording in the middle of a video and then this guy he just jumps out of nowhere and starting to argue with me and that is a that was very intimidating I have to say I did I'm not a rookie mistake and that was because I had multiple locations reserved for this flight I didn't have the papers set in the right order in there my back so I could just pick them and show them to him that might have calmed him down or might have made him realize that he was wrong what would you have done in this situation just to be on the safe side I decided to contact the Danish authorities just to check out if there was something that I missed regarding flying in that area and they confirmed that the other side of the lake is a restricted bird area as well as the southern part of the lake but I was not even close to those areas because that would bring the drone far out of where visual line of sight so that was no issue and he basically confirmed there were no restriction in that area and wished me a happy flying but I knew this already but it was nice to get it confirmed and I gonna bring that letter in my front pocket next time I'm going to fly in that spot by the way are you interested in the Medicare - and are you from Scandinavia then I would definitely This is why I have basically stopped flying my drones. I don’t know what it is about drones in particular, people feel that they NEED to express their displeasure. This guy was quite polite, the other guy was basically a Karen.

I'm next to a large body of water with tall ships, sail boats, power boats, and freighters always passing through. I'll take my drone out over the water to capture a shot or two and never hover over or near anyone's home and all I get are snide comments about how I'm spying on my neighbors...literally one of the folks moving out of our neighborhood told the incoming neighbor that I spy on everyone. FFS, none of you are that interesting!
