welcome to show everybody how are you doing now I got a little bit of a cough and some sneezing going on so my voice is a little bit deeper than normal and that's what happens sometimes so there you website I'm just going to continue to inform you about that a little bit in a couple months off probably we have so much to do but I've whittled it down to two you know the other language sites other languages out we have about 6,000 articles we got to go through and that's a lot of work there's a lot of stuffing to each one so that's going to take a couple of months for a few of us to to whittle through all of that stuff and then we'll have a new website it'll be a modern looking and really nice and hopefully everything will go really well with that so please pray if you are so inclined to been happening during the summer and it often happens is that people call in the last half of the outside of the first half because getting off work getting home whatever it might be so once you give me a call we can kind of fill that in and also we have schools three online schools that a couple things to talk about with that we got from some schools we have the School of Theology a school of apologetics and a school of critical thinking and they are there on the website on Carm that org c AR m dot o-r-g and the right hand side I really recommend that if you wanted to learn anything about the Bible learn what the Bible teaches about various topics if you have a good theology you'll be able to understand what the Bible is teaching in so many other areas it'll just make sense and that's what you need to understand is that without a good foundation in the Word of God like what the Trinity is what justification is things like that you won't build to understand a lot of what's in the scriptures and we want you to become well equipped so that you can thoroughly thoroughly understand the Word of God and present the Word of God and I've developed these schools over you got a year and a half period and there's a lot of information in there but it's easy to understand well presented so I hope you would check that out all I'm gonna do is go to Carnival oh and if you do sign up for the school's just give it 24 hours normally it works fine right away but every now then we have a glitch and which reminds me we're gonna be building the new schools all over again hopefully they'll common thing it means that the when it speaks of the thousand-year reign that because it's in Revelation 20 which is very very symbolic and it's talked about a thousand-year reign there in Revelation 20 most people take it literally but but when you look at it said I saw an angel now that's literal coming up in heaven that's literal holding a key of the abyss that would be figurative and a great chain in his hand that'd be the figurative laid hold of the dragon that's figurative the serpent of old that's literal who was a devil and Satan literal and not in for a thousand years so what does that mean well when you take the word thousand and you do some research on it you find out that God uses it a little bit differently than what we do it's like saying a kabillion so god owns the it is so a days a days but a thousand years a thousand years but a day and gods on the cattle on a Thousand Hills so the word thousand is used as a just a large number like we would say you know a kabillion you know and so that's what's going on there and then when you look at other verses where it says that Satan is already bound and that's in Matthew 12 22 to 32 where Jesus talks about that so there's some things and Jesus says that when he comes back he will take the wicked out of his kingdom that's what he says now that's not taught from hardly any pulpits and I think it's because they have denominational loyalties that got to keep but the thing is it's it says that as it was the days of Noah social it being the days of the Campinas of the man but they were eating they were drinking they were giving America the day that Noah entered the Ark in the flood came and destroyed them all two men will be in the field one is taken so the context is the wicked who were taken and so they're taken out of this area they're wiped out so this is not like I'll say I'll just tell people right away who are listening they might be raising their eyebrows going what but this is not a real common view but that's what I've seen the scriptures and also distance yeah I'm blabbing jesus says Matthew 13:31 he talks about the wheat and the tares and he also talks about this age and the age to come and there's only two ages in the Bible at this age and the age to come at the end of this age certain things happen that's what he says that's a Paul the Apostle says and so Jesus says you know the wheat in the tares you know allow both to go together till the end of the age and I will say the Reapers first gather the tares and bind them to be burned so the Tay says when I read that years ago I'm staring at it what wait a minute what does that mean what Stan and so it took me two years of going back and forth over its mother set before I finally publicly said that's what it says so he he the wicked first and then the good are taken that's what Jesus says in Matthew 13:30 so yes it's the ten commandments two copies of 10 and each 10 and 10 the jar of manna and Aaron's rod that budded yep Aaron's rod we told what the Ark of the Covenant was doing that no but there's there has been discussions excuse me and I'm trying to remember because your question in the back of my head you know read articles years and years ago and if what I remember if I remember correctly that I think the you know I just I can't remember I was trying to remember if the ark was in Jerusalem at the time of Christ or not and I I don't know I think it you know I just don't know because I've heard different things that it wasn't there and that it probably was there and that it's been buried and there's some interesting theories about where it might be so one in Ethiopia one actually in Jerusalem and I think chuck Missler is the one who brought this up he said I'm trying to remember all this stuff he said that on the Mount where Christ was crucified they don't know this for sure but the there's a fault line there and so there's apparently some a cave underneath there or some someplace in there now some people think the Ark of the Covenant might be there and I've been to that location and you know the the place of the skull so I've seen it and that's what it looks like it just it's a skull you know is and so one of the theories is that when Christ's blood shed on the cross that it when twas fell on the ground fell on the all fell down into the crack when the earthquake opened maybe the blood then dripped down on the Ark of the Covenant but there on the mercy seat but you know that's just conjecture but it's fun conjecture ok ok I appreciate it ok all right you're welcome and God Nelson welcome you're on the air hey man I know that in the scriptures Paul he was single as a believer but my question is before he came encountered Christ Christ encountered him on the way to Damascus was Paul and married under the Jewish recommendation or requirement in order to be where he was at in the position as a Jew yeah most probably he was yeah so we can go to first Corinthians 95 and Paul says do we not have a right to take along a believing wife even as the rest of the Apostles on the Brothers of the Lord Cephas so sorry 1st Corinthians 9 5 ok the Roman Catholic view of the priests not being married is doubly problematic for one you don't find that in Scripture you just don't and second you don't find priests in the New Testament except for the kingdom of priests that we are all believers so we do have the right or the people in clergy do have the right to to marry okay they don't have today but the end right - I think well first that's well I don't want to get into Courtney welcome you're on the air so what specifically are the wicked ways that we people can turn from well it's actually talking about Israel and well it's a habit to do that there you know and so what we can do we can draw principles from it so let's just read a little bit of context okay thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king's palace and successfully completed all that he had planned on doing in the house of the Lord and in his palace and the Lord appeared it to Solomon at night and said to him I have heard your prayers and have chosen this place for myself as a house of sacrifice if I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain or if I command the locusts to devour the land or if I send a pestilence among my people and my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven will forgive their sin and will heal their land so what you're talking about is he talking about Christians he's talking he's talking about the people of Israel the house of Israel and that if God were to judge them for what they did if they were to repent and turn to them turn to God that he'll forgive their sin and heal their land now that's who it's aimed at now can we apply it to us that's the question when we do which called hermeneutics we want to always look at what the text originally there yep all right so we can see by reading the context that the context is not about Christians today it's about the house of Israel and this phrase is used in other areas the house where the Lord's name is and things like that and so the first application is it is its historical context we do not want to take something that was meant to Israel and then port it over to us and say see it's for us today not necessarily it might be but it might not be so how do we find this out but what we do is we rather I can tell people is well do doing this kind of analysis is to picture a target that you shoot arrows into and the center dot and then there's a ring and a ring and the rain goes out or now the center dot is the verse itself and then you look just one ring it got there what's its immediate context and this is so critical and so God is talking to the Covenant people of Israel and saying we're always talking to Solomon and stuff but he's saying that you need to abide by what I'm telling you now there's a principle here because a covenant is a pact or an agreement between two or more parties and so God had covenant with Israel for various things various covenants if they break his covenant curses and trouble follow it they keep the Covenant blessings follow this is Old Testament now some people say there's a new covenant in the New Testament now there is a new covenant because the Old Covenant is done away with and that's the death of Christ Hebrews 8 13 he was 9 15 through 16 now the question is what are the stipulations of that covenant and we have to see if they match I've been doing research on this in my spare time all 5 seconds of it and so I'm looking at the new color an issue in the book of Hebrews and I'm not finding what people are telling me it is people are telling it's just a side note people are telling me it's about anybody's a Christian and I'm not finding that I'm finding it again the house of Israel because it says house of Jacob and and is jumping nevertheless so let's just go out in those concentric circles is there a principle here though that we can lay claim to and I think there is I think that we could understand and and agree that if we Christians in the land honor God then God will bless us and that if we don't honor him he will not bless us I think this is a very basic principle and we see this kind of a thing throughout the Old Testament and we also see it in the New Testament where people do what's right before God and God blesses them he sends them places he anoints them and when they break covenant faithfulness he destroys them and like and an Isis ephyra when they lied it to the Holy Spirit they were killed and so there's a judgment that comes upon people but you know for the most part what God wants he wants a bless bless us so a lot he really does but in order to get that blessing we have to walk in his way and we have to love our neighbor and love God not bow before idols not putting things that you know like um I want a big car in a big bank account in all health and everything and they don't follow Jesus when I'm comfortable this kind of idolatry needs to be stopped and things like that so when we look at this issue if we would apply it to ourselves in the Christian context we have to understand that judgment begins in the household of God and if this applies to us then we Christians need to repent a great deal and I believe that that if we do God will bless our nation and the repentance that the Christian needs to go through is to put God first in his life in all areas and not seek those earthly pleasures for the sake of earthly pleasures there's no problem with having a big-screen TV in a nice car that's not a problem if those get in the way of your fellowship with Christ and your love of your neighbor then it's a problem and we need to uphold the Great Commission and put it upon our hearts to give and support and pray for those who are involved in ministry work to the pastor's the teachers the elders various missionaries and to support them the Christian Church needs to be using its attributes and its talents that were given for that purpose and if the church is not doing it but instead is saying let's make a church comfortable for unbelievers instead of a little uncomfortable for believers but comfortable for the unbelievers which means don't be too offensive being really gentle and nice ey seek upon them and that means that the Christians aren't becoming equipped well if that's gonna happen and the Christians aren't being equipped but they're being babysat and you know bottle-fed then we Christians are not doing what we are doing or what we're doing if the people who are called by his name Christian will humble themselves and pray and seek his face and turn from their wickedness he'll hear us I believe that principle is still true and he'll forgive us you'll heal but you think a big one or Christian specifically is because I don't find and I don't know you know too many and I can't observation that we don't think [Music] we've had a hard time finding a church you know for us I don't only find a lot of churches that do it so it's like no you may specifically want to do it but you can't find a church I'm not even the church is where I brought it happen you'll see we'll see what's that and you know I think it's just better just to pray for people I was like you know what everybody wants you to pray for that sometimes wait wait I'm sure she'll try a pastor set is just better to pray for him I really like Ray Comfort mastery and I just thought it was I mean it was actually an answer to prayer I mean when somebody asked the Lord I was like my way of putting it was I was there was some way that you just kind of dude and respond to somebody when they say they're a good person you know and then it wasn't so long after you know I was my way of saying it was I would you know like a telemarketer like those when you say this they say that they say that like they are prepared something like that and it wasn't long after that our CDI soft very comfortable these years ago interesting and when I bring it up so serious pastor there's more specifically than I'm talking about now wasn't too interested in that Wow let's not bring a good pastor just I gotta brag a little bit I've done open-air with Ray we've gone to the beach and stood I've swapped pulpits with him or soap boxes and and don't open air with them so he's a great guy you know and he's good he's a kind of warm heart and open arms and he's great at what he does it was predominantly a woman crowd and woman one to talk I think that'd be fine cuz it's not she's done an elder she's on her church is not in a church context so I wouldn't have a problem yeah at doing that and then people who work with them will go around and have individual conversations what I like to do in groups like that is to when the person is doing the open air I've done over there many times but when they do it I like to watch the crowd and see there's any hecklers and then I'll go tackle the hecklers it can be difficult you know about that apologetics I'm gonna jump right in there and then I step away from them and start a mini group that's I'm trying to take over with it often what happens and so we've worked together we've coordinated together and it's a real privilege to be able to do stuff like that but you can't find one I mean yeah they're out there um you know if I were a pastor of a church again what I would do is train people to do that go out with them occasionally because I'm always working you know I've done years of street evangelism swapmeet ministry going out on the beach and doing various things prison ministry and now I like to preach and teach over the radio and online live but people need to be encouraged to do it but most people just don't know anything I believe that part of the reason is churches are just teaching them how to how to be well tell you what propria what if you know I was out at your area and we met and we were out walking someplace and and there was you know until today let's say this happens hey aren't you matched look because I get known every day reckon every now and then yeah that into a conversation starts right let's just say a bunch of women start coming in to the group and I'd look to you and you know if you want to jump in you know go for it cuz if that's the case if you have something to say I would have no problem with that at all okay it wouldn't bother me that's my view yeah okay you can do it I would have no problem if you're talking to a guy I mean I'd make sure that you were protected and things like that but I'd be there and keep out of it if you're having a conversation we have a saying bill McKeever actually coined this with me says you catch your own or you clean your own fish means if you're talking to somebody don't have somebody else to come in and take over unless they're asked to so when I go out I just sit and let not let but join people in their conversations by standing there and backing them up that's what I'd like to do have to back people up so that they can get the experience what about what about like in the church the person who should be teaching those to go out to do that he should the pastor yeah it's a church function and he should be teaching in the church about evangelism and women should be involved with it well maybe they don't asko asko see their Bibles ask to see their Bibles and just turn to the end of Matthew and see the great Commission's in their Bibles rivers crossed out or missing yeah it's not so well this is it you know and password you do to be doing what the Bible says to do instead of babysitting Christians making them comfortable the Bible nowhere so just make people comfortable it says equip them for the work of ministry that's what it says because the cross daily and follow after me that's what recall to do as Christians that's it you know I'm gonna you know I'm 63 and you know 65 people retire I'm not retiring and I you know I'm just gonna continue on as long as I possibly can to serve my lord whichever capacity would be it doesn't matter if I even have to end up being a janitor someplace then I will serve God doing that and I would consider it to be work for the Lord my god and I would do it for his glory and I would look for opportunities to witness even in that context this is our heart the heart of Christ that were supposed to have as Christians and if we don't have that heart that is externally motivated to care for others to preach that gospel to others then we're not accessing that spirit of Christ within us and we don't have the heart of Christ in us and the sacrificial means of getting out there getting that word preached and teach just like Jesus did just like Paul did and they suffered for the faith that's what it is that Jesus says pick up your cross if you don't think of your cross you're not worthy of me this is what Christ has time but you don't hear this as much in churches because people won't want to come back because they're not being made uncomfortable I'll tell you if I were preaching I'm sometimes think you know let's just say it was a pastor who got sick here or had a six-month hiatus whatever and they asked me to come in and fill in I'd say are you sure are you sure you want me to come in and film it because you might lose some numbers you might lose people I'm gonna preach the word and not to say that they weren't doing it already but it's that kind of a thought you know because I'm with you I just don't think a lot of what is is it needs to be taught to start when I preach we haven't preached for a few months I needed I've miss it but I get very enthused and I move and and I it's the word you know it's the word of God it's incredible good to hear it preach it live it as Christians I'm excited about it a word and we need to anyway I'm because of the name obviously it's because of the name obvious so that's nice so what do you got but I just want to thank you for first off for your show and just you know making yourself available to people the way that you do and especially for your work that you've done on karma org for the or Jehovah's Witnesses and that and that whole organization between you and James why I had enough to you know have a lengthy debates with the regional head of Arkansas or job as witnesses a friend of mine is you know caught up in that and so your material is very very helpful for me it gave me everything I needed to know because I just wanted to say thank you for that first of all well good when you talk to them did or him did not that stumping him is hey see we stopped them gonna you know put a notch in your Bible that's not the whole thing but did it you think it caused him to sink and go boom I never thought of that kind of stuff yes I do you know he's actually a very easygoing guy laid-back very easy to talk to it's just I don't know how effective anything was we we kind of zoned in on the deity of Christ is where I'm directed everything and I just wanted a pinpoint down on that and I had about a hundred things from karma org that were sitting there that I was ready to speak him out and talk about but we never really got into it you know it he kind of disappeared this was that once we got to the point of speaking about Brooklyn and just people that are out there that are writing yeah that's what you had a the things you want to stay away from they knew the New World Translation yeah right you know when you go once we got to that point and started going through textural discrepancies in the word and things like that it kind of ended there he didn't have any more ich it's you let's get to bands from Hot Springs Arkansas welcome you're on the air okay I think we're as I was presenting my question about Steve Lawson yeah the sermon that came out about the sovereignty of God and the doctrine of sovereignty and just you know stating that it's not a secondary truth that it is the Mount ever everest of doctrine that it it is the bedrock of all doctrine or quotes from him and so when I posted the meme what happened is that I started getting those attacks that oh now you're trying to add to the gospel that the sovereignty of Christ or the personhood of Christ and the attributes of God to whatever degree are not essential to the gospel so I don't believe that personally but I did want to hear your thoughts only how how you would handle the sovereignty of Christ the sovereignty of God in terms of a gospel presentation or the gospel being essential well when I give the gospel I don't mention the sovereignty of God I mentioned the the law the gospel and the cost the three aspects I think need to be presented and apologetics is where the issue of sovereignty of God comes in so different people have different ways of emphasizing different doctrines now the sovereignty of God of courses is an incredibly important doctrine and it means that God has the right to do with this creation as he desires he's sovereign he can accomplish whatever he desires and this is important we Christians need to note that it's really a paramount doctrine for Christians to know we already know the doctrine of the Trinity that Jesus is God in flesh that salvation is by grace through faith in Christ not by works not by baptism not by ceremony and also the sovereignty of God because we have to face the issues in life of losing family members financial difficulties health difficulties etc and as well as blessings that come in you know so we have to understand that God is sovereign over all of these and that nothing occurs without his permission and so this is why it's really important for the Christians to understand sovereignty more so than I would think the unbelievers the unbelievers can't really accept the things of the sovereignty of God so to speak because they're not believers yet they don't understand so I'm not sure what that gentleman was getting it or trying to I get that issue what were the where it comes in is I would say that I mean yeah I don't believe that unbelievers necessarily can understand 2d pictures I mean they can't even have faith faith is impossible to the unbeliever so I mean there's a lot of things that are impossible because people don't know about the sovereignty of God they may not even understand what that means a lot of Christians don't know the word the word maybe not but just the concept of God being above
