Mastering OSCAR: What's On Your LSA Home Page

welcome to the oscar training video series for law school administrators this video will walk you through oscar's law school administrator homepage when you log in to oscar you will see your home page but first let's walk through the interface from any page you will see your main navigation bar and left navigation on the main navigation bar you will find the oscar logo which returns you to the home page the search box which allows you to search the oscar site the notifications icon displays your notifications and alerts click on it to view those alerts edit your notification preferences by selecting the gear icon on the top right click your user drop-down to access law school profile where you can edit your law school's profile information my account where you can update your password law school admin accounts where you can create new school administrator accounts edit or delete them my reports where you can review regenerate or access previous reports with data on applicants positions recommendations and more preferences where you can adjust your notification preferences to display on either your notifications icon by email or receive no notification and log out on the left side of the page you will see the left navigation here you will find home which returns you to the home page the applicants drop-down includes the applicants list which allows you to manage your applicant accounts agd students which allows you to view and approve alternate graduation date applicant requests and archived applicants which allows you to view your archived applicant accounts recommenders which allows you to manage your recommenders the judicial directory drop-down provides you access to judges and staff attorney offices positions which displays all positions posted in oscar the tools drop down includes manage emails where you can create or edit templated messages that you can then send to students or faculty recommenders via the batch options class rank certification which allows you to indicate if your school ranks law school profile which allows you to edit your law school profile information and reporting which allows you to manage your oscar reports the accounts drop down includes my account which allows you to change your password notification preferences where you can adjust your notification preferences school admin accounts which allows you to manage your school admin user accounts and archive school admins which allows you to view your archived law school administrator user accounts the training drop-down includes lsa resources page where you can find additional resources to assist with any questions you may have using the system and help which allows you to search and view help articles on your law school administrator home page you will find a notice of any alternative graduation date applicants awaiting approval oscar tips which provide useful information and updates pending recommendation requests [Music] oscar statistics the latest oscar news including blog posts and other news articles oscar training where you can schedule training sessions with an oscar training specialist who will assist with any questions you may have using the system and upcoming events including training webinars at the bottom of the page you will find the footer the footer has three sections get to know oscar oscar resources and customer support we hope this video has helped to provide you with a better understanding of oscar's interface and homepage for law school administrators visit the oscar training page for more videos and resources if you need further assistance please contact the oscar program office at 866-666-2120 or by email at oscar dash support at ao.uscourts.gov thank you for watching
