watching later and for those of you on the replay i want to get to the song early because i want people to hear it perfect tell me about the song we went through it yeah we went through a really probably one of the most devastating times in our whole life 52 years we've been married coming up here in a minute but and we've had some difficult times everybody does but this was probably one of the hardest moments of our life to go through and honestly i didn't think i did i didn't know if we were going to make it i mean i was so broken people i loved trusted laid down my life and all of that was washed away and i just i don't know there were days i prayed jesus i am ready to go to heaven i have 15 grandkids i love those grandkids got an amazing family but i don't know if i can survive this hurt but you know one day i woke up and i know it was the prayers of people that care about us and and i know that it was god and he just breathed across my life i was actually on the floor in a prayer session and i got up off the floor i went over to the piano and i sat down and i wrote this song in about 15 minutes the whole but it was more like a it was like that the song of my soul saying okay i'm going to come out of these i'm going to come out of this grave i'm going to come out of this ashes and i'm going to know god in a better way and i'm going to know about forgiveness and i'm not getting cynical that was one of the things i'm like god i don't want to be cynical you know because we all have a chance to be cynical we get hurt we know crushings we don't think oh god how how could someone do this how could how could we know this kind of hurt from a church yeah because people i talk to people all the time they say i'm not going back to church the church killed me and and that is such a sad epitaph for us on on our churches but we have to live not in despair but in hope we can't live in the past we've got a future and we've got to rise to that future and forgive people that have abandoned us forgive people that have abused us that have wished us hurt and ruined and wreckaged we've got to forgive them and say i don't wish you anything let me tell you what jaren davis said about you in this song you know jared i guess he produced this he did he did he says nancy graham quest he sent this to me this morning wanted me to read y'all sings and she always has with a passion that is more than just a vocal experience you literally feel her heart in every word and note what a dynamic anointed talent the first part of this new song by nancy is painful but we have all been there in that place where we have been wounded by someone we loved and trusted but thankfully the song doesn't stop there you can feel the sun rising the light going from dim to full bright as she sings the second verse bridge and last course there is hope there is healing and as we forgive those who hurt us we in turn find the forgiveness and healing by one who was himself even in the middle of being wounded by some he had called friends able to say father forgive them right all right let's sing it i mean you sing it i'm going to sit and listen do i get headphones or do i just have to sing it uh i'm afraid you're going to have to sing it because i need to make sure well tell me if i'm doing good i'm going to tell you because uh you could blow out was telling a friend of mine the other day yolanda about her mama who lived to be 106. but her mother loved the lord and i said can you imagine her face oh when she walked through those pearly gates and saw the ones she'd been praying to for 106 years i mean she was she she was something and yolanda thought about she just teared up because she knows that mama prayed every day i mean oh all the
