thank y'all for having me it's been a real treat watching the videos and seeing the family type atmosphere that this company kind of projects and produces so before I get started I'd like to do one thing if you'll accommodate me of the veterans past and present it stand up and be recognized as well someone like do so alright let's kick this horse I've come up here to tell you a little bit about myself what I did for a living how I got to where I was going we'll talk about operation red waiting for a little bit there's a lot of books and movies and stuff out about that particular day so I try and touch on some of the stuff they didn't make it into all of that all right and then I'll get on my way sound good hi I'm not a motivational speaker by the natural definition of word I mean I'm not here to sell you a book or a t-shirt I don't know if I'm here to change your life basically I could up here our I'll kind of give you an insight into my life and take something away from it then I'm glad I can help you if you don't know sorry basically what happens when people bring me in is to put a perspective on what a bad day really in okay and how you can get through it I'll be the first person to tell you I was never really the best in anything growing up my right eye was the strongest I wasn't the fastest the smartest guy I wasn't the weakest link in the chain that I wasn't the strongest link in the chain that was just a link all right individual kind of sports and stuff like that didn't really appeal to me my identical twin brother was that's except minutes older than me so he's the older brother any twins in here you don't know what I'm talking about I mean he's he's the dominant he's actually the Alpha too even today he still open his presents before I do and he makes her scotch it's a little weird but this whole philosophy on everything is back again he had been king right so he comes up with all these great ideas and the way it worked is I usually had to go first and if I pay the true there were little to no damage it was a great idea like puck came out of there missing some blood dragging a leg and stuff like that is like well we need to remake this think about that growing up just back it up a little bit I'm a texting boy fifth generation man forget whole red river runs in my veins man so it's customary and my family for all the men to serve in the military all right generations back you'd have to serving any particular branch any military you just had to give service all right my granddaddy say this while I was on the course with him and then my father was saying as well he'd always say before you exploit this country son you're going to serve her in some form or fashion I know any idea what that meant when I was boy obviously now being a grown man I understand what that means back then no idea the way it happened was the way I became or got the idea to become a Navy SEAL was my brother came running down the bar I'm down there feeding the horses he's like hey I know we're gonna do man we're gonna be Navy SEALs it's gonna be great we get to jump out of airplanes shoot guns most stuff up and there's a 50% chance we're gonna die I was like sign feel good luck brother not have a couple sangs once from the bone to the tomb we came into this world together and we're going to leave it together my brother and I are absolutely inseparable a father made sure that he would always tell this is like hey look your mother and I are gonna be here much longer all right women are coming bail your friends to come and go your brother will be here for you no matter what you can always count on him so uh give you a little background on my father we weren't friends okay my father I did not hang out matter of fact I addressed him I addressed him properly was father Sir usually sir and he made it real clear to my brother as we were growing up who's like we're gonna know anything all right I brought you into this world you're welcome giggles truth I'm gonna put a roof on your head over your head and a shirt on your back and food in your belly he goes of your whole life as you grow up boy to a man I'm gonna give you discipline every day in your life and through discipline you're going to gain respect respect for yourself respect for other people the only time you ever lose your respect is when you lose your discipline you're the only one who can know that away now my family discipline hurt man run an old school kind of family they come home at the end day tell us us bookings like I know you did something this without a catch gonna need you to do it you okay here oh my cell is slow hey let my shoes per here for you to walk in every now and again if you stumble then they're not here for you Phil because as men and women every we all fall that's the beauty about being human that's what makes you better than than the guy next to you is when you when he falls whether or not you're going to get back up people who don't get back up I mean I don't understand I got it was lace up your boots a little bit tired shake it off and go as hard in the paint as you possibly can his life's real short I was fortunate enough in my life as old sang Texas filled with Southern a listen he goes up a good man raise his son a great man will help raise overs I was fortunate enough I like to have that there's four or five men in my life that everyday gave me the knowledge and the wherewithal the technique so I can develop my own honor to be the man that I was destined to become because I never isolated myself just to hang out with one one group or one class people I stole this much knowledge as I possibly could from everybody around me so the way we got into this whole seal program like I said I'm down the barn feed the horses boar came running down man he's like ain't gonna be Navy SEALs I was like great and down the way from us was a guy who trained people to go into the Special Forces those super small towns he'll appreciate this one he was our town psychopath you know every town has one he's gotta wear the sweatpants in the wintertime summertime the shorts and the wintertime rubber boots mid-match baptists yeah Billy shield was his name and he had an impeccable record of training boys it's meant to go into Special Forces that was a regimental schoolhouse you didn't pay money inside any waivers there's no deaths or anything like they just showed up and you put out and if you stuck it out ordinarily you're making where you want to go today gives multiple seals multiple Green Berets Rangers range all across the board so we showed up over there asking for treats I don't forget it our father took us over there drunk assault coding during downtime he had a piece of fried chicken Sam he's like we won and he was a giant of a manly back there and I actually can start growing jobs on my 20s try checking into college you be like that I mean I graduate I found my driver's license the other day and when I was 18 I was five 654 pounds so I was around that whole concept of dynamite runs in small packages but understand didn't have the money for hours at mine boy well we're like surfing to be Navy SEALs we heard you train people do that was for me to train up looked at it's at 4:30 tomorrow and he slammed the door in our face so we backed out of the next day we come running up at 4:30 Holland leo he's waiting on us and as we were run into the yard you saw him he was pointing to us and I was watching at the ground at us at the watch and as soon as we got to the yard you realize the only his mouth and profanity that's it I mean he's cussing us up one side down the other you use your imagination I use profanity in front of women but a seal for almost 18 years and I still hadn't been cussed like that he stop is dead the street took his boot heel he drew a line in the dirt right crumbs he's like every day you come here we'll draw a lot of frog it has been crossing being the special forces of voluntary program what any time you want but right now you should quit right now you quit while I'm training quit while you're going through SEAL training as a Navy SEAL in combat you don't to do that job before you raise your hand you say it's over I'm done and that's the truth he said you crossed his line I'm gonna do everything I can to break you I'm gonna beat you mentally physically and emotionally he's like you're going to suffer here I ain't your mama I don't care whether you live or die he said when man goes to war his brain turns to water and runs out of his ears somebody has to go on his instinct the McGavin go right to left he's like most on this boy cross line and 14 I mean you think you're invincible right you still bouncing you follow your bones heal the way it's supposed to heal make them take those noise when you bend over to pick something up I don't that noise I think back 10 days you fall off the building or you hit my car and get up shake it off I can't even sit down without going muscle out whack kind of ridiculous but pride keeps me going I guess so this is my first life lesson of building that's the first thing he ever talking stands true to this very day we cross that lines I get buddy on your faces give me three hundred push-ups for being late and that's not a lot of blue shells if you got some guns orange shake man and my first life lesson abili was if I tell you to be somewhere at a certain time you're always 15 minutes earlier not at 4:30 15 minutes early is on time everybody here knows I'm talking about everything changing is always changes usually changes overnight leave working through the day you come in the next morning I guess what turn to you all right this is what happened to give that person that always comes on the door 4:30 you're the weakest link in the chain your problem you're actually a cancer and our community will get somebody killed I'm still in town the grief goes down whatever it is we go on the cell to target now you get to do word I was supposed to go left the step right I supposed to go up the stairs set it in the bank whatever what and my buddy gets head blown off his neck well then that's all me and when people die and then stop right there it's a ripple effect they got family members you love them mothers and brothers and sisters now that I'm any kind of man I'm gonna be like a your boy died exactly on time I don't know what I was doing can you remember watch the TV read a magazine but he's dead I can't change that there's absolutely no reason why you should ever be make to anything unless you are dead and if you're dead somebody'll check in for you can guarantee that so we started pushing the deck and we get to about a hundred or something and it basically what happened let's start a teeter totter some of us are going down while the rest of us were coming up neighbors stop what you're doing he goes as a team you're going to go down together and you're going to come up together you're going to you're gonna die together you're not a team start over start over so I'll push them out again into whatever number was started to teeter-totter like I guess you can hear what I said I said you're gonna go down together and come up together live together and die together you're not a damn team start over and so what that phrase coming out of his mouth the only other thing is profanity and he was hit this with the Holden cousins and kicking us whole nine yards but couple hours go by we're trying to match these push-ups out to about one we're all doing the chicken bag and one arm in mountain climber he got so sick and tired of this is like look get off my property you're a disgrace he's the greatest with percentages is like here I won't even get in all that we can do it on our hands hold it he's like me go home and when you get old you walk right up to your daddy and punch him in the mouth it doesn't start over because it screwed up on you as we were running out of there you say you wouldn't do this again tomorrow Motown won't ever waste my time it's the only thing I can't control I was big like lesson he taught us is like always wear a watch is like one thing I can't control this time I'm not going to waste one second of it on you it goes because there's one certainty in this world for all of us we're all going to die eventually you can sidestep prolong and do whatever it is you think you want to do to get around and eventually the reapers going to show up to the door and once you accept the fact that you're going to die you'd be surprised how much light you can actually live don't ever fear death it's coming just put it off inside so I showed up the next day on time and I did that from the time I was 14 years old so time I finished college I was never late again not one time not ever as I grew from the boy into a young man to an adult to a grown man I'm 18 years old I've grown man and my body changed and I got stronger mentally physically emotionally on it everything he did us involved it changed as well I mean one last word that sounds good with him if you think Lance workouts gonna be a cake it's a hug like I'm so proud of you go do your deal nothing how that goes down so yeah every couple weeks he was running down the freeway we carry telephone pole he follow us in his vehicle and we dropped the pole on his kids head split his head open he rolled down who gets we went down there pick him up and put the log down I'm Billy Gunn screaming and yelling at us we're supposed to keep that log up and pick that kid up so he like get the leaning ready to put some position and pay attention he's like open your mouth and shut you he goes set your Mountain open ears I've got two ears one mouth for a reason closed one open - he's like I'm gonna tell you something I never told him what's wrong through the things that I do to use and listen up he goes I sit up at night bigger sadistic things to throw at you I purposely do things to you that I know he fast he's like ain't the home so he always tells it's like you're human being you're weak you believe just like everybody else it's like I'm waiting to see what I get you no matter how hard I hit you if I hit you talking stupid I hate you knock you down if I hit you and knock you out when you come to you shake it off if you come at me like a rampaging Beast or if you quit because you play around here you'll be acquitted for the rest of your life go over brush your teeth with a pistol that's what he tell us 14:02 leather I took all the knowledge everything he ever gave me and all the men of my life and the women in my life gave me a lens and joined the military I joined the Navy for those of you unfamiliar with maybe stands for never get in volunteer yourself when I got it I was like man I don't want to be in a regular Navy which is nothing wrong with being in the regular maybe I just knew what I was born to do I was a doctor a lawyer a Wall Street guy a teacher everything like that I'm a gunfighter playing set the man I would never make any apologies for that or I mean I'm just playing it simple I that's what I am so I passed a series of tests to qualify to go to school to become a Navy SEAL that school is referred to as blood straining stands for basic underwater demolition SEAL training any man and every man on this planet is a Navy SEAL has to go through that schools it's in sunny Coronado California I'm sure there's some people out here who know a Navy SEAL you know something you got some guy got a job at your places to see you and say it was your says a Navy SEAL if you didn't go to school out there he's lyin to you all right here to fire quit hanging down with him to cut me open out burns down now stuff where I'll talk briefly about blood straining it's one those kind of deals where I hated every second of it so I really don't even like to remember it but it's three phases first phase second phase right first base 1213 weeks thick gun you should know that this is a seal I get up and talk about it but I go on top first base is just a gut check all right to peek down of mental and physical torture make sure you have it it takes to [ __ ] to go and follow on training second phase our die face what separates us to the other Special Forces our military work underwater over 73 percent the globe's covered in it will you be eating we're going 24 hours it's our little poncho house actually to scoop it out before I got in SEAL team I'm sure this and divers out here you know talking about 60 feet 60 minutes looking at the pretty blue water in the fish so I got somebody right there beside it you can see everything's hunky-dory a normal down for us is usually four to six hours that's the pitch-black water casing hands funny face you got a deal my log is died when I was in the SEAL team 10 hours of 47 minutes I actually fell asleep and woke up underwater twice don't ever do that I put some guys in here like a limit route but yeah don't do time dollars do in the back of my hand I can go to hell for something stuff I did and you think growing up with Hale time it's not it's cold water when we woke up I was like a brother a dead man so and I'm not unique anything I'm fixed to tell you all the guys I go through this industry in the community that sort of go through all this Somali hell we lose more people in second phases of the fates he begun to waters on national people people died actually more people die on our train they're doing combat let's look at jumping teeth you guys after second phase third phase weapons and demolition it's another 11 weeks pistols rifles rockets there's a weapons system on this planet this country operates and maintains we can use it and anything our enemy uses we can operate it maintain and then we graduate and when I started training day one week one minute one there's a hundred sixty four men in my class from all walks of life country boys city boys collegiate athletes doctors lawyers Harvard grads Yale grass I mean you name it anybody and everybody wants to kind of beat on the chest shows up here it's a melting pot 164 men on that first day we graduated there was ten men left my brother had 254 guys in his buzz class and he graduated with 16 guys so that gave me an idea the attrition rate what the school does it forms a bond time than any blood bond they'll have with anybody period I mean sometimes I'll point people up guys buddy this your friend oh yeah like why why is he or see your friend why you hang out with well you know man we watch football gym kind of worked out so you've been in tight spot huh beer been with it when everything fell apart when you slipped into the bike I might talk about it bullets going yet I'm just talking about him getting uncomfortable but they sit there looking at you going man this this is free bad but I ain't going anywhere that's your friend I'm talking about the guys no call it the bar sugar I'll talk about the guys you call body trunk out in the damn show we go into the street time to step across that for deck they take everything you ever were away from you they rip it away and the way they do that's chaos and pain life is pain everybody in here knows that as the guys we go through that training which we go to for more training in the SEAL Teams we deploy here regardless if there's a war on top there's idiots everywhere we got to take care of we stay pretty busy I got on the hook for Afghanistan and on five I was already in the jungle in the cities in a couple places fighting I had been that banishing him when I got there I saw my brother he had been there and I slept in high five and he's like they don't go easy if it goes down I was like I won't so my primary mission said that Gant and was I was on a special reconnaissance team basically what that means is there's a forum an elephant for men it would slip us in under the cover of darkness okay we free fall out of an air pad now you're playing fast roll out of a helicopter - excuse me going horseback humping or snow our boots on and sneaking of the men ones as deep as we could go for weeks tracking down one guy the head mistake will go up to militias and armies and stuff like that's what the Corps does army may be that real well we grew up to one guy and we find him sneak into his backyard set up shop I'm watching anywhere from six to ten days taking video taking notes gained an enzyme learning anything and everything I could possibly learn about this joker that I didn't already know and at the end of that you get the green line on either killing where we go down there and we snatch him out of there and I'm interrogating whatever I got out of him I go do something else and that's how that will roll and we were doing it about three months when Red Wing came down the pike there was business as usual really we're going after a guy by the name of Mancha high ranking in the and have zone militia his disposal kind of deal call themselves the mountain Tigers I was like what let me give you a little insight on how military call signs and nicknames work okay it starts with the Flyboys our jet jocks jet pilots are the cooler the the better your callsign is so if you gotta call us out like Iceman laser beam you're an idiot okay because you get the picture Oh Nick Nick your buddies give you their so if you hear something like that you're like it's got a turn and I you got it so good off with a nickname liner cause I like house of crap you want that's your do but they're made like a mold well we need to go cuz you know you can't be there well they dropped us in I dropped a sensitive paint into the mountains and we dropped it 9,000 plus me into a snowbank because we know the story I've seen the movies okay for those of you don't owe me an idea what we're doing so the drops in at 9,000 feet land and snowbank we had to go for miles to our target took us about eight nine hours to get there found the target set up shop all right my team for those of you are familiar our primary sniper point man's name was man axis he went through training with my brother they're best friends I'll refer to him as axe okay behind him was Mike Murphy he was our officer in charge you're my best friend teams I'm at you know I love him to death I never told him I loved me believes alive because guys don't do that you know but I'll see him again one day I'll tell him I love him and then bindings Danny D stain was our communicator he was our link to the world and I was behind him team here in their superior house our team who's always our team we set up shop and started doing our business and for those who have seen the film it was reversed and I'm not sure why they did that but in real life the shippers walked on his first and then the goats came up alright the first Shepherd walked right over the top of me I was laid up under a big ol tree had been chopped down we think we're in a log in areas mostly bigger trees been cultivated and shot down burned up one way Afghan is make money as their loggers so that man had got my attention real fast I mean real fast I'm not gonna say I was scared I'm scared but I'm you know I checked my shorts I kind of don't know when I came up with my wife to engage just got he had no idea was there like tough a look on his face I had a big long beard my eyes my nose when we get there attention jerk on a little bit will tell you whatever you want nothing so I rolled him up and drugged him over to where Danny was that's like get out of the way I'll interrogate this guy I was trying to tell him that I wasn't gonna kill him and a guy literally I was trying to tell you how I'm gonna kill chica bet those seals we don't pay attention in language class because we don't care what language you speak by the time y'all send us over there all that's done talk it's done man everybody upstairs with this means if you don't you will most of stuff we learn is too scary get their attention my favorite phrase over there was all a second-rank don't way in hell you're getting out of this so have our face painted up all sadistic and cat eye contacts bad mother [ __ ] she was telling I was really about Jane Fonda's later the other cheek came up the mountain another adult male in summer 20x of 20 and 95 and ELAR and a kid he was about 12 14 that's a fight ain't no right there we sits on him turn your background to a low boil their eulogy nobody after that is when the goats came up the mountain Majed iam grumbling best guesstimation that change the whole dynamic of every day those goats no weight on the Shepherd's this reason why we turned loose please keep going go back down in the village show up down there no shepherd village comes back looking for him strapped up Benedick seems out of place the guy in the chases two years has gone over into Pakistan mission first mission priority that's our job no questions asked so we turn the Blues they were gone and shot we relocated and then about an hour later is when that militia walked on top of us first first guy saw an RPG over each shoulder a k47 destroyed 30 or 40 guys right on the top we were right underneath the crest of the mountain about 30 feet right on the crest and um was 30 or 40 guys then coming down each Ridgeline was a dozen or so guys and I initiated the whole thing got pulled his head around a tree and a black shroud on his head they came up and I waited and soon as I feel my weapon on fire he pulled his head back round the tree I looked down Mike he's right underneath him straight I think I'm just rolled my boots around I told him I said get back on the clock we're fixing to get it on that's exactly what I said to him I turned back around and waiting they make sure that God pulled his head around the tree we did I shot right before him and don't think when I don't have it unleashed hell on our left leg I've been a lot of gun fights not like that might as well first place I got here was in my weapon retina man actually when I dropped my magazine to load another one I look down at my keys give me the signal to fall back I kept my pack wrapped around my calf when I reached down to grab my pack hell shell the ledge I would stand in a crumbled fell apart I slid right out of it I'm pretty sure my foot hit a tree root that's what stopped me from slide but it also pushed my chest up over my hips and I flipped and for those who know this story this is when the fall started I can't Mike we both started 10 balling through uh we're in a grove of trees actually we pinball through that from about 150 yards broke through that started to flip and hit the rocks below I broke my back real bad and my pelvis and I can land on his face and tell my way he crushed his face well that's when the fight started and then it was on to put it into perspective for that movie's two hours halt maybe the gunfight real life is always three hours that's how long it took the killers about an hour and a half into it I was dragging being both his fingers were broken and compound fracture on one of his tip is one of his lungs had been dropped in and shot four times I know and I actually kicked him up over my shoulder to fire McCabe say she said the time but I fall on top of him because of Mount was too steep and I know I broke a lot it was real coming he was bad but when I picked him up to take the fall on time I spun around I guess plenty min to a bullet and Shyp in the back Kilty reckon in there while weren't ready for his dead weight there's a difference I flipped out from underneath in my face in a rock and I broke my nose no man and I bit my tongue in half and I swallowed well completely capacitate me I was on all fours kind of trying to choke it out and I got it out some stuff happen to be Danny he was dead but then I made down to down the mountain towards the end of the gunfight I was firing laterally at the group of guys and hacks walked out from behind this bolt I was shot I didn't even know he was there it wouldn't fire his weapon he was walking know what run past me and sat down indian-style even against my right hip the ground was on fire real bad on most of the mountainside Mountain and he had his hands and his pulled his face together he's like a hero I'm sorry man I can't help you I'm blind shot me in face in the movie they had you hit back here and realized he was shot right here in the temple and it had taken off all that off Johnny no Holly is alive really but he was just like a king help me I'm sorry it's job Ben just located in hanging arts fans was bad but he doesn't get out of here when I turned around against the cover fire my team was out of this Boulder all right with our satellite phone and he got shot in the chest huh and in the gun flipping he sat up and I shot him between the shoulder blades drives him on his face was bothering me real bad my best friend I swung my web I tried to get to him from hoods but she felt certain distance couldn't get back on the way you came to Stevie we tried it hundreds of times he called left with behind us and Bank like here's wind until my head turned around sets it on my boots trying to reload my weapon and he started screaming my name good hey sorry my dad was bad I actually put my weapon down over my legs and covered my ears because I couldn't stand to hear him back I mean basically I'm gonna kill you he died right there but I snapped manage snapped my cord I couldn't believe leader come in a sailor man has his breaking point to break a Navy SEAL you have the killers but I snapped right there like some punk man I couldn't take oh I don't know whatever I mean it's not like I heard anybody died before but not getting shot out of they killed him I shot I caught up a couple hundred yards below me I crawled over this rock and bang bang was the stream run over hanging two logs lean against a house under where they'd be taking abdominal dress and try to pull its face together I was trying to punch two holes in it and that's all I was like we're gonna we're gonna die runned out right now like I said earlier I made my peace you got a long time ago about died and I'm not afraid of but it's a weird feeling when the Reapers at the door normally we don't know he'd go out and you do you think they'd shut your light off of nobody register feel then it's weird anyway it's an RPG hit behind him he took the brunt of the glue him over the top of me folded me over backwards and when I lean to push him up another one hit and blew his head that separated us I went one way he went another I never saw him again for the rest of my life not ever not one time it knocked me out again that's one thing they could they did took the movies how many times we were knocked out during the fight six times myself but I know about so I mean you talking about tucking your brain back in your face normally you get knocked down once in a lifetime but I mean I'm in Frank from the top bottom my feet stuff my head I've been shot my back control my pelvis all I meant your maps GPS compass I was almost met all this up been ripped and blown off of me while I just rolled over and started pulling myself and I took a bunch of dirt and sand stuffing it all open wounds and so I wouldn't bleed to death and I buried myself in a shallow grave and I didn't move another inch all day I didn't even take a full breath I specifically told myself not to do then don't take a full breath cuz they're walking over the top of me they knew they were missing somebody I know Georgie in the day have you done I'm scared I was afraid there's a difference we having feared being afraid having fear makes a sharp makes you do things you normally couldn't think you do being afraid of quickly stop you in your tracks you really shouldn't be afraid of anything afraid I don't know how afraid up but towards you today I feel my toes I uncovered myself I roll my rifle up to clear my area and the distance I can see it guys sit against the Rockets silver a Gators one and the sun's hanging off of it that's how it spotted I took two shots at even Misty's not the third one even a good he fell and it was 100 killer team two other guys came running over and hit on my side of the rock face in same direction I was and I shot those two guys my back and they fell to their death together normally not supposed to shoot people in the back house having a pretty bad day so whatever well soon went down and in the film they have Oberg Laila he's laid up all night I didn't lay it when I crawled all right this longest night of my life Anna it's I got myself out a couple more times I'm so thirsty it was driving me insane I never experienced insanity before you're about people who say the saying I know what that means because I was doing everything I could do to get water I'm taken to the groundbreaking ranch so we're looking good sweating a sock I'd urinated into it I bring that out the mountain up that wood quits my thirst nothing the Sun was coming up I was hold onto a tree I was trying to work my way down this hill and about 35 feet and I won't they found me that morning or they've been trailing me all night but I felt it before I hurt him their rental company and I shot the back turn me into a gainer I rolled down to seal land on my face knocked out again they thought I was dead so when I rolled over the hill I'd fallen off others got stand up their point having scream man and thence you guys with a cave on my right flank they started laying a little well nothing works from my chest down so I just threw my weapon in the crease Melo start pulling myself up the hills and I will toss myself off the back side of that's house fashion they were we played that Kent house games about three Hill times before I had enough of it and I spun round drop my bipod down and waited and that spotter he was chasing he Hill chunk for hilltop a little walk right into me me this into the stage a shot got the teeth and then the other two guys they're high ground turned into my not a Fraggle another talk to me I've dumped that Fraggle that was it a lot hasn't been shaken I'm dying I knew it I just couldn't lay down here and die like some fun so I grabbed a rock and I reached out as far as I could try to me I drew a line in the dirt so Billy talkin to me got a deal I was like I'm a crawler that's my fee kid if I'm still a while to do it again so that's what I did I draw a line fall to it fall down a hill curl up another hill I draw a line I did that seven miles and I found a waterfall I write this down it's done work I tried to slide down into it and I just took off and I rotated and let took flight land in the river my head hit the riverbank and my knees hit me in the face knockdown and split my head open I came to I was I was laid over the backsides of dirt now Kenda all alone was water I said honey thirty she was talking about I was alright with dying I just didn't want to die thirsty like I know I'm going to hell then I'll have water there someone give as much as I can before I go down there so you gotta have humor and chaos is all waiting to get through this stuff I got two sips out of that waterfall before I heard so much screaming at me on my left shoulder there's Americans what they're saying American American and I split around on this guy I got in my hip oh you had to bring it to my shoulder he did you know the stories surrounding gulag and the rest of the villagers I'd see the same dirt his beard that's how close he was to me and he's screaming at me like I said American American I don't know why and kilee I don't know why he killed me they end up he's been to visit me multiple times we talked on the phone and we talked about this this particle jewtown sunlight Nana I wanna kill you man he's like well I don't know why let you live I was like hell we won't talk about that I'm gonna brought it up I was talking about it he didn't talk about it he started walking at he's like American okay okay and all he the timmy was words he he knew was shampoo and hydrate don't ask me where that came from either she was Sam to hydrate shampoo hide Randy lifts up his man jammies to show me he have a weapon Aleksandra hydrate what what are you talking about man how's the cocking some water if you got it out of me a hair wash and then for God's picked me up carried me down into their village get me all the water I could drink and strip you naked and started pulling all the frag and kind of a miser dr. Mittal I had one sticking in my shin at my shin bone and they went to jerk it on that boy I'll passed out it hurt and I came to I was dressed up in a settlers man jammies complete with head how to beard down to here so from a distance I look like villager if you used up not me there's no mistake of what I want but I was in this rooms about an hour I guess and the door kicked open Taliban flooded the room and I knew who they were mean to me want something long enough you know what it is with staring drunk face I mean plus it spoke English my brother Taliban like oh you have no got that but I don't talk about that you can use your imagination what happened it's pretty interesting I just flipped the switch went to the dark place I think one thing they trained us and teaches them when it was time to go working flip the switch team do anything you want to be man I kick that day all day all night in the next morning they left to negotiate two for my head to come ahead on with the village elders and then door kicked open I lay on the ground I rolled over long ago don't look they come in a cup my head off is like yeah oh I'm and then three more came in there pick the up chair get out of that road down the mountain and stuck me a whole head first let me there for 27 hours I like that I don't like being isolated like that I have a weapon had no idea this stuff blown up people screaming of the Menace stressful and then they came to got me and then for the next four and a half days they me around that village strategically because it's out man now Qaeda they weren't together had circled it I've been rude somewhere in the wall of bolo or bullet would sit through all those villages come in there pick me up carry me somewhere else it took me about two days to figure out what was going on that they were willing to sacrifice everybody in the village to keep you alive because they said they were it's an honor code and I grew up man I thought I mean I thought on you inaudible integrity an honorable man basically all we have is your word you give your word you keep it you don't give you word you're no man period and I mean I'm no more kids either die I don't want women need to get me done because I'm out here put me on the doorstep shucks or he's like no we said to keep you alive don't do it I couldn't believe it I learned so much about myself damn yeah I actually apology I never say I'm sorry because I do think something to do I'm saying anything I would say well I was in the room three or four guys big storm and hit and the way it worked as I told you what I having gunfire when the towers fell somewhere this lady was passed out pictures of her daughter she died in Twin Towers she's handing about something some Marines I wasn't a new kid no idea what I was but all she said to me was making this right and I still have the picture of barely legible but I mean I still happen and on the back of it I wrote no mercy and I'll laminate up and keep it in my chest pocket on all my deployments and before any operation when I was jacked up face made up balls just to God sit on the edge of my bed and stare at her and match her die exactly I mean I have a real problem with people who are with real problem I mean I have a lot of my way to kill you I see that it's just my thing I don't know what to do I would just imagine her in pain and good lord man I've worked myself into such a rage that when I went out there when I put a bolt in to you that's nicest thing I think you need to pray to God I didn't get my hands on him because I didn't I mean I just didn't carry and when I'm on it when they had me and all that was going down I just I was like Amy I'm sorry sorry some of the stuff I did I was I didn't really care about anybody out here you're all bad to me my effect you take anything away from what I said about I've been through in my life a lot of stuff I it's kind of a blessing and a curse being part of operation regimen because one operation I did in hundreds a lot of my worse than Red Wing just not as many people died was it man don't ever make a mistake and misjudged somebody when you first meet him just because the way they look because that color religion tree that doesn't mean anything either amazing or not either a woman or you're not respecting efforts likes people meet meet people and hear people like I hear something show me some respect I'll show you anything it's called human decency when I first meet you if you want respect you have to earn it I don't hand it out and I I just when I was in there on the ground I can't believe you're doing this man I said ultimate tests are just to die for situate our me found me that night on my fifth day I was out with a movie down to a riverbed they were carrying me upside this being hovered my name in English every trade up like this I lose my head on these two Army Rangers came around this rock and bang bang I'm a red guy grab me I never hug fan like that I'll get in your way he's running a navy guy tell me are they gone was he weird don't think about three minutes at the joke still flying then stars lying we get having you rescued by the army all but come on get it let me have it without that mutt rescue more times by the Marine Corps in the Army I need counted one team one fight I mean you hear those military guys joking back and forth jab at each other that builds camaraderie that's what that is let me don't be a civilian trying you had anything worked out well for you but what us it's kind of that ultimate test of one's loyalties is dying for each other and the first time one more guys jumped on a grenade and got killed just to save the rest of us is when I saw that how far you can take friendship the Brotherhood was amazing but then later that night Air Force came in had rescue all this so his big deal Air Force guys we love you and then we dumped outside and they took me to Bagram Air Force Base when I was in the hospital that you doctored up that's when I found out about helicopter crash Mikey up it's a phone call rest mother came in to rescue us a 12 year old boy sent RPG to the back of it blew it out the sky I killed 16 guy right there I didn't know that haven't robbed top of the mountain your fight night that's how loud was we could hear a human get boiling out sky so yeah 19 guys died that day but I was in the hospital for a while surgeries put myself back together so I get back on the line and I'm going back into Iraq you know 6:07 and to the hampire province Ramadi which is the worst place out there my entire life but I tend to because that's what I want that's what I am I mean I'm just going to got my butt kicked doesn't mean I'm gonna stop doing that firefighters going to stop being a fireman make a bad fire but you know that's what you are you just keep doing until they still they tell you to stop and I got my knees woman out on raid and costing my career remember the hardest thing I have faced in my entire life was the day that my own community told me that I was more of a liability than I was NASA because of my physical injuries as mentally I have a problem out of a psychopath anyway but we don't SEALs we don't really suffer from PGS you'll have that problem let's say it's not real real suffers from that and I just I didn't like that too much like what do you want me to do man I mean my whole life people told me that I wasn't gonna be able to to accomplish this or do that that's another thing I can tell you men don't let anybody tell you what you can and can't accomplish if nobody has an idea was falling down inside you're the only one that puts limitations on yourself period how smart you get how strong again how fast you get that's all on you that you don't believe that then you hang around wrong people in there filling your head full of nonsense is you only limited by yourself so I I just didn't know what to do and I'm about the time I realized that I was having some problems was it like I said from the Middle Ages is when they separated reach for my guys on that hole is screaming hit in my body kind of deal on my soul because when you walk through hell both guys for ten years and they jerk you away from them they can't be replaced I mean it's just who you are and I remember one I love cannons and I only realize that when I'm back with my friends for the first time and I actually had gotten married people asking what I'm doing now I've been my wife it's true what they say we can't live without some ladies y'all are stronger species now I mean this is straight-up fact cuz I never thought for a second I was going to be married more than I never thought we'd love to see 40 I mean I had a lot of fun chasing y'all so there's no way I was wheeling one moment we talk about what I've met my life on a blind date actually and I saw her solicitor hit him smile that and everything shifted man I'm like what's up team was it what and then I should marry me that night not marry her shortly after that we've been married five years then two arguments both over my fault pretty quick I have my son back and I'm raised him to be a man if he's cake peasant he'll be a man bust her ass $5 roundelay she's too high me I'm here we do it her hikes out there we raise my voice and I tell her to do something look oh my god with what all right so doctor but it's a lot of fun I mean I thought people oh you're assuming you know get great bad great husband like what book did you read coming up I mean I try the best again at it that's a lot of fun I mean my son levels me about once a day with some reality amazing what they come up with Betty takes a birthday actually started four so I I enjoyed being here with you guys but I want to enjoy getting back and seeing him for his birthday but just a closer so like I said I I don't have anything I can deliver to you mana can change your life I I mean I can [ __ ] you mister perspective on how I brought up and what what I went through look I never had an S on my chest I don't have a cape a light saber or anything like that and I just I refuse to stay down that's what I learned my whole life just don't ever stay down just never quit anything ma'am just keep getting back up basically one of two things is going to happen here you're going to kill you when you're gonna die try it how you're just going to get over whatever it is you trying to get over and then you move on to the next thing just keep pushing forward so thank you all for having me out here
