so welcome to deliverance center i'm going to ask everyone to settle their hearts thank you i'm gonna ask everyone to settle their hearts as we go before the throne of grace i invite everyone to stand as we go to god in prayer heavenly father god we just want to thank you dear lord for life we adore you we praise you for who you are oh god we are not worthy to even call upon your name but o god you have seen it fit there lord jesus to send your son to die on the cross for our sins and with the millions of people in the world those who have passed and those who have gone you look down on each one of us dear lord and you know us by name so god as we come before you this evening we pray their god for those there lord who are lost give us a burden dear lord jesus to reach the lost ones dear lord who need you dear lord jesus mighty god we pray dear lord that we'll be here and we'll just meditate upon you that oh god we will give you a hundred percent of our beings dear lord we place ourselves on the altar dear lord jesus we pray that god that self would be slain dear god and when we open up our mouths to magnify you dear lord it will come from the very bottom of our bellies knowing that dear lord jesus you have been good to us you have been good to us all the time you have never let us down you have been faithful you have been merciful you have been loving you have been kind you have fed us you have clothed us dear lord jesus and oh god you have kept us dear lord through this covet period you have kept us from harm you have kept us under the shadow of your wings and we give you thanks mighty god we may not have everything that we want but we have everything that we need and everything that we need is in you everything that we need is in the father the son and the holy ghost totally complete and lacking nothing so we give you thanks dear lord and we pray their god that you will be in the midst that your holy spirit their god will move amongst your people convict the souls of those who are unsafe so that they may come to know you as their personal savior we bless your name father god and we magnify you in your precious holy name we pray amen at this point in time we ask tonight as we come we gonna seek soul for his kingdom so my brothers and sisters let us bow our hearts before they are tonight most righteous loving father we we thank you for this privilege that we can command at a time in your presence in the house of worship at another crusade father god you have given us this privilege mighty garden we are thanking you mighty god from the bottom of our hearts we just want to thank you for those who will be coming in tonight for those who will be taking part tonight almighty god we pray our father for our moderate father we ask that you are ninth or even now from the crowd of our head love to the very soul of our feet father god those who are participating in tonight's service we ask that your anointing overflows mighty god consume us in your and powers of darkness everything that is not up to you almighty god we're gonna start the service mighty god with trumpet now under our feet in the name of jesus christ of nazareth because we know mighty god god we serve is able to do far more exceedingly abundantly than what we can ask or even think you are almighty god there is none like you there is none compared to you your god and god all by yourself we lift the service into your unchanging hand even now touch each and every soul you are the god of the spirit of our flesh we know your aim so might god will leave everything tonight in show me now thy way that i may know thee that i am that i may find grace in thy sight and consider that this nation is thy people and he said my presence shall go with thee and i will go with the rest and he said unto him if thy present go not with me carry us not upheld for wherein shall it be known here that i and the people have found grace in thy sight is it not in that don't voice with us so shall we be separated i and thy people from all the people that are upon the face of the earth and the lord said unto moses i will do this thing also that thou has spoken for thou has found grace in my sight and i know thee by name and he said i beseech thee show me thy glory and he said i will make all my goodness pass before thee and i will proclaim the name of the lord before thee and will be gracious to whom i will be gracious and will show mercy on whom i will show mercy and he said thou canst not see my face for there shall no man see me and live and the lord said behold there is a place for me and thou shalt stand upon a rock and it shall come to pass while my glory passes by that i will put thee in a clip of the rock and will cover thee with my hand while i pass by 23 and ending and i will take away my hand and thou shalt see my back parts but my face shall not be seen this is the word of the lord we honor it by saying glory be to the father and to the son and to the researching and i saw where the lord has over names and it's interesting we come to church we know our faces but we don't know our name so at this time i'm gonna ask you to turn around and if you know your neighbor's name then that's fine but if you don't know your neighbor's name just whisper to your neighbor behind you or in front of you or beside you what is your name and from now on you'll be able to address your neighbor by name and i see some people collecting a whole lot of names that's good we have to get our practice now because when we get to heaven there's going to be millions and millions and millions and you got to remember all of those names it's not just going to be abraham is not just going to be jacob it's not just going to be isaac amen amen and amen we serve a god jehovah elohim eternal creator he is jehovah jared the lord our provider give the lord a hand he is jehovah rapha the lord o healer if you know he can heal you just give him a hand he is jehovah shalom the lord of our peace he is el roy the lord who sees me he is elohim the everlasting god he is el shaddai the all-sufficient god that's the one i love whether you're rich whether you're poor you have the correct passport do you have the passport that is bought with the blood of jesus christ or do you have a passport that is taking you on the way to hell some of us have boarded the flight manage but we stay on the flight and we talk to those who don't have that passport that the lord jesus is flying his airplane and he's stopping at your gateway and we ask you that you heed the call and let jesus give you that ticket the thing is that the ticket was already bought god sent his son years ago and he died on the cross so you have a prepaid ticket but there's no guarantee that the plane is going to stop again at your gateway and if you miss the flight i don't know when the plane is going to turn around so we ask those who have not gotten their passport who don't have the stamp of jesus christ on their hearts to heed to the call you're at gateway deliverance center board the flight now because we don't know if that flight is going to come back welcome eastwood park road new or indifferent mighty god you have given us health and strength so that we can go out and work and we lay by there lord jesus and you have blessed us immensely so father god we pray there lord jesus spiritual strength and i am sure as he ministers to us last night come on to me what an awesome word as he explained how it is that it was a universal call to all of us to come unto him and when we accept the challenge to come he gives us rest for our souls and he's here tonight again to minister one more time to us before he comes the kingdom praises they're going to be ministering to us in to the book of revelation chapter 2. oh bless the name of god thank you jesus verses one through to seven and i'll be reading from the king james virgin unto the angel of the church of ephesus wright these things saith he that hold at the seven stars in his right hand who walk it in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks i know thy works and thy labor under thy patience and how thou canst not bear them which are evil and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles and are not and hast found them liars and asked born and asked patience and for my name's sake has labored and asked not fainted nevertheless i have somewhat against thee because thou hast left thy first love remember therefore from whence thou art fallen and repent and do the first works or else i will come unto thee quickly and will remove thy candlestick out of his place except thou repent verse 6 and 7 but this thou hast that thou hate us the deeds of the nicolasians which i also hate he that hath an ear let effectively oh god deliver your word as you would have me tonight probably father that you will use me for your glory your word is already blessed and so heavenly father as it goes forth it will bring topic it is a divine call it's a divine call my brothers and sisters the contents of revelation 2 are small letters to four churches dictated by jesus to john ephesus and smyrna were coastal cities whereas pergamum and were inland cities three more such letters are in revelation chapter three each of these messages contains a unique description of jesus a command and a promise or somebody praise god i say each of the letters spend in revelation chapter 2 to chapter 3 to the seven churches in asia minor each of the letters have a description of jesus's command and the promise all but one the church in ladicia receive some commendation oh hallelujah all but two of the seven letters those to the churches in smyrna and philadelphia also contained a critical rebuke like churches today most of the congregations addressed by jesus had both good characteristics and at least one point which needed correction did i say something here yes i need to repeat like churches today most of the dictated to john intended for the church at ephesus this congregation in ephesus is praised for patient endurance and for rightly uh rejecting false apostles oh yes despite such an excellent beginning however ephesus had abandoned its first love oh hallelujah come on somebody i said they got an excellent hallelujah commendation but guess what they had abandoned their first love hallelujah they were drifting into coldness our god almighty jesus instructs the church to remember its early days repent and conduct itself as it had done initially somebody praise god he promises a reward to the victor somebody praise god the letters to the seven churches share a similar structure they each feature listen an address to a particular congregation an introduction of jesus each letter has a statement regarding the condition of the church each letter had a verdict from jesus regarding the condition of the church each letter carried a command or carries the command from jesus to the church each letter carries a general exaltation of all christians to all christians and each letter also carries a promise of reward somebody praise god my brothers and sisters jesus is letter to the church at ephesus it says in verses 1 8 says it is to the angel of the church of ephesus right the character of the city of ephesus is being described as discussed in under revelation 1 20 this angel may be the pastor of the church at ephesus or an angel looking on the workings of the church at ephesus in some way this angel represents this church but the letter isn't written just to the representative but it is written to the whole church somebody praise god ephesus this was a famous city in the ancient world with an equally famous church paul ministered in this same ephesus for three years according to acts 19 1 acts 19 10 and acts 20 verses 31 aquila and the priscilla with apollo served at this church according to acts 18 24-28 paul's close associate timothy according to first timothy 1 3 he also worked in this church according to strong and consistent historic tradition the apostle john also ministered there oh somebody am i talking to the church surely it was a place of great privilege cities lord god made deposits and where their money could be kept safe under the protection of deity according to a commentary on the book of acts ephesus was a stronghold for satan somebody praised god as the ephesus was a stronghold of satan here in ephesus many evil things both superstitious and satanic were practiced books containing formula for sorcery and other ungodly and forbidden arts were plentiful in the book of uh in the in the city of ephesus my god not an easy city am i making any sense to you here tonight my brothers and sisters it is quite important and relevant that i bring out all these information regarding the place of ephesus so we can see why jesus had was to pen a letter like this to the people in ephesus am i talking to the church my brothers and sisters ah god he describes having written to the church and he says to the angel of the church in ephesus jesus describes himself to the church at ephesus somebody praise god he says listen man i am writing to you and just in case you need to know who is writing to you he says he he who holds the seven stars in his right hand he who walks in the midst of the golden lamp stands our god these images are taken from john's vision in revelation 1 they emphasize the authority of jesus in the church he said he holds the seven stars and his immediate presence in the church he walks in the midst of the seven golden stand lampstands this introduction stresses that jesus is central to the church and should be recognized as the of god almighty somebody help me here my brothers and sisters the word holds this is the must be a safe set of people come on somebody but jesus said to the church i know your works bishop you don't know everybody works up here because some people work well here but by the time they go around you are winding him attack not gonna get let me don't mush it up bless you and jesus said i know your works and when jesus says he knows our works that's very important not everybody there are times when you're doing your work and the person who super supervises your department doesn't even see the work that you're doing but jesus says i know your works he didn't send anybody tell me on the doctor german i was looking for you but that's here you know i know you're not leaving me come on somebody help me he said i know your works jesus said say michael told me or gabriel told me or something angels to me he says i know your works jesus looked at his church and he knew the condition it was no mystery to him there may be sin or corruption hidden in a congregation but it is not themselves therefore watch and remember that for three years i did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears says the apostle from this commendation of jesus we know that the ephesians took paul's warning seriously the church today like the ephesian church then must vigorously test those who claim to be messengers up from god especially those who say they are apostles those who classify themselves as self-proclaimed prophets telling evangelists because deceivers will speak well of themselves the greater the evil the more deceptive its cloak [Music] oh god almighty somebody help me here my brothers and sisters let me tell you as an evangelist and as an ordained minister new audience bishop i remembered i got my exalters lice from bishop bishop bronzing officer one of those and talking anything right in this house said if he junctured then must rigorously test those who claim to be messengers from god especially those who say they are apostles self-proclaimed prophets can i warn the new testament church of god the 370 of churches that are our own test those who you invite to command those fastings and deliverance services that some of us like to run up and down and leave decision about them for nowadays if a man be clever he may preach the violence lie that were that was ever vomited from the mouth of hell and it will go down with some said charles persian at my words the prince of preacher charles persian says that if a man be clever he may preach the vilest lie that was ever vomited from the mouth of hell and it will go down well with some let me say it church as i get down to list three things that i will cover as the holy ghost would have me if i should go through them you have persevered and said jesus christ and have patience and have labored for my name's sake and have not become weary also the ephesian church continued doing things these things without becoming weary they showed a godly perseverance that we should imitate by all outward appearances this was a solid church that worked hard had great outreach ministries and protected the integrity of the gospel but what did jesus had to say against the church nevertheless come no church of god oh god almighty somebody help me here nevertheless i have this against you that you have left your first love come on somebody help me here nevertheless i have this against you jesus used a sobering word madam principle a sobering word nevertheless which means despite all that come on now somebody help me here despite all that being a church that work hard have good ministry programs have everything going but guess what something is wrong despite all that jesus took into full account all the good in the ephesian church yet despite all that he had something against them you have left your first love despite all the good in ephesians church there's something seriously wrong they have left not last you know i'm gonna preach it here dr clark is one of my mentors i have to preach like how he would have wanted me to under the leading or the holy ghost he says they have left so can i preach and teach a little bit though might not be like some but i try every now and then they have left watch it now not lost you know their first love they once had a love that they don't have anymore this can be described as a definite and sad departure somebody help me here the distinction between leaving and losing is important something can be lost hello quite by accident but leaving is a deliberate act come on somebody though it may not happen suddenly as well when we lose something we don't know where to find it but when we leave something we know where to find it so the call from jesus to the church in ephesus saints was for them to return to their first love it can be retrieved it isn't lost somebody praise god am i making any sense here have i left anything with you already so jesus was saying to the church you have left your first love and you know where to find it go back you have not lost it and go back for it somebody help me here somebody praise god so it's a divine call for one to remember two it's a divine call to repent and three there's it's a divine call that when you repent there's a reward sounds like i find three good points right kelly this is a call to reflect so the first one firstly it's a divine call to remember and for those who don't like the word remember recall for those who don't like the word recall reflect somebody help me here this is a call to reflect to go back and recall the past somebody praise god the savior is saying remember the way it used to be in your relationship with me come on somebody undoubtedly the process of looking back is also a call to recognize one's true condition we can't very well confess sin if we don't clearly see it for what it is oh somebody help me here remember therefore from where you have fallen somebody help me preach in this house the first step in restoration for the ephesian church is for them to remember somebody praise god they need to remember from where they were falling this means remembering where they used to be in their love for the lord and for one another somebody praised god fallen and it is a perfect tense in the greek it looks at a completed act with existing results a state and not a process somebody praise god we are in a falling condition we are out of fellowship and [Music] hallelujah that's a strong statement if god called you and when god called you don't have to go to egypt for help he has all the resources from i did that thank god i'm driving in style come on somebody's the blessings of god somebody help me here tonight somebody help me here so it's a divine call to remember remember and then secondly it's a call for us for the church to repent not only repent but it's a repentant return repent is the greek word mata noah the word means to change the mind or purpose to change one's decision it means to recognize one's previous decision opinion or condition as wrong and to accept and move forward a new and right path in its place the verb is in the everest tensed tense in the greek which may look at a single decisive act rep thank you sir repentance includes confession of sin with a view to stop the bad behavior so it can be replaced with what was right somebody praise god so repent this is not a command to feel sorry or really to feel anything it means to change your direction to go a different way it isn't an urgent appeal for instance of change of attitude and conduct before it is too late it is an urgent sorry appeal for instant change of attitude and conduct before it is too late so it says repent return and do the first work this means they must go back to the basics to the very first things they did when your first love fell in love with jesus these are the things that we never go beyond or else he says i will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place jesus gave them a stern warning he says unless they repent he will remove their light and his presence when their lampstand was removed they could continue as an organization but no longer as a true church of jesus christ come on somebody am i talking to the people of god it would be the church like the church sister clark of ichabod where the glory had departed oh god somebody help me here a final exaltation in chapter 278 he who has an ear let him hear what the spirit says to the churches this is a loving call to hear what the holy spirit is teaching in these seven churches seven messages we are not to merely look at these from an academic or scholarly perspective and argue about if they were intended as a prophetic or not come on somebody instead we are to listen under the leading of the holy spirit we have to examine ourselves somebody praise god i hear the psalmist in psalm 139 23-24 says search me o god and know my heart try me and know my thoughts see if there be any grievous way in me and lead me in the way everlasting somebody praise god said jesus call on the people of ephesus he says remember your first love remember how you love me remember how you love one another remember the things that you did that uh pleased me and the things that satisfies me then he says as you remember and recall he says repent come on somebody there's a difference between repentance and confession come on somebody repentance is the change in attitude and behavior with a fully made-up mind of not going back to the bad but confession is just to accept it and talk about it one can confess and doesn't repent somebody help me here tonight confession and that's why some people come here to say oh pastor i am the one who removed the microphone and i should not have removed it first time removed it i i shouldn't have removed it and then next week the person comes back i removed the microphone the person had only confessed but didn't repent because if the person had repented they would not have come back to remove the microphone because there would have been a change in mind and attitude and behavior come on somebody what we need is repentance somebody praise god so jesus call at the church he said remember and repent and when you repent finally my third and final point there's a reward somebody praise god somebody praise god somebody praise god there's a reward for those who repent somebody praise god verse 7b because of the promised reward he said to him who overcomes i will give to eat shaco from the tree of life which is in the midst of the paradise of god he said to him who overcome jesus made this promise to him who overcomes but what does this overcomer overcome come on somebody we usually think of overcoming in dramatic terms of overcoming sin and in us and in spiritual warfare but here jesus seems to speak of overcoming of the coldness of heart and lack of love marked by leaving their first love somebody praise god it says for those who overcome oh hallelujah for those who remember and repent and return i will give to him or her oh god almighty to eat from the tree of life the promise for these overcomers was a return to eden a restoration and eternal life this was meant first in the eternal sense of making it to heaven which was no small promise to a church threatened with the removal of jesus's presence it is also meant in the sense of seeing the effects of the curse rolled back in our own lives though walking in jesus is redeemed love in the midst of paradise of god he says for those who repent originally the word paradise meant a garden of delight eventually it came to mean the place where god lives where god is that is paradise somebody praise god to the one who conquers he says i will grant to eat the tree of life in revelation god will reverse the curse that came about as a result of sin one effect of this curse was that people could not eat from the tree of life but one day all true believers will eat oh god almighty somebody help me here but first before we can eat and enjoy paradise we must conquer sin in revelation we see the battle between good and evil between god and satan we conquer him and everything he throws at us somebody praise god but we don't do it through our own strength oh hallelujah i think it is in revelation chapter 12 he says and they overcame him by the blood of the lord and by the word of their testimony overcame who that slew foot devil that old dragon that old serpent that old satan somebody praise almighty god somebody showed hallelujah our god i feel the holy ghost as i rock it down we conquer him and everything that he throws at us but we don't do it through our own strength it is only possible through jesus christ somebody shout hallelujah i said we can only conquer the devil and the works of the devil through jesus christ if we go in our own strength with our own intellect with our own ability we are going to be not cold somebody help me preachers are close here we are going to be knocked cold we are going to be rendered lord god powerless and useless but when we take the name of jesus with us oh god somebody help me here we can conquer any powers and works of the old devil i want to tell somebody that we have planted within us upon an anointing that god that no devil can defeat us for right here he says in saint luke behold i give you power somebody shouted hallelujah let me leave this with you somebody showed hallelujah we have power to conquer we don't have to live in sin the enticements and the attractions of the world our god cannot conquer us we have the power to conquer it somebody shout hallelujah somebody shout hallelujah hallelujah whatever the devil throws at us lord god almighty put on your armor pull out your sword
