is uh uh what the Aboriginal people ate you know because back in the day they were like like they were had flower lungs you had flour you could bake Bannock all the time you know and uh as me as uh Aboriginal person I my parents are brought up old school and uh there was I come from a big family of 11. so we all had our own little uh like chores and baking and uh you know making a meal and I I grew up around when I was about 12 year years old I had to learn how to make danik and I had to make cabbage rolls and pies so today I love uh but I like baking I seldom by any bought stuff from the store because it's so much cheaper you could buy a big 10 kg of flour and you could bake whip something up I make something every day you know that's just how much I love baking it's level cups of uh flour to one two and two teaspoons of salt yeah half a cup of oil like I say you could use uh lard but you know back in the day um our ancestors were were poor so they always bought like a lot of flour and uh and large so they use lard and then again two now you are you mix it clockwise so then I put after I make my well little well there I put three cups of milk alarm two three make it now it's time to get my hands in here and and just uh like knead it really slow and this is where you uh they say never to choke your Bannock I was laughing one day at uh you just need it you know easy next to you uh just flower your uh top of your counter and get your dough in go down there and this is where you just like knead your dough again really slow it's like a little bit more flour just kind of roll it in the dough so when you you know when you roll it out to make the fried fry bread did it like it doesn't stick to the to the um counter when you're you know rolling it out and cutting it put uh your Frank pan on your Panda you're going to use to uh to uh make your fry bread and and you have to have it like a at a decent temperature you know that's not going to cook it too fast or burn it to your uh to the counter a lot of flowering you have to do they're probably brought up on it you know uh that's why they they expect it all the time but like it it time consuming you know because you know I'm here from seven to three so sometimes I I don't go shopping I'll come in come back from my drop-offs and I'll make my Bannock you know when that you have to let it rise a little bit and then I make it you know Tuesday walk into the door they know what they have oh Manic Panic you know and I could make so much Bannock and they'll eat it all
